TAZZ (August August) Ft. Camila
LOCATION:
West-Side, Central... Christen Kinslee's House... Upstairs...
PARTICIPANTS:
August, Matsuda, Camila, Chou, Sylvie
HOSTILE AGENDA
Camila crossed her legs while sitting on the desk’s chair, a sly smile on her face as she observed the boys entering the office.
“Hmph, but of course” She said in response to Sylvie’s praise, she made sure that the computer screen was out of Benjamin’s sight.
“So, Benji my dear…I think it’s about time you tell us who you work for, don’t you think?” If he were to lie here, she would know.
Benjamin looked to Camila with skittish regard, then at August, then Sylvie and Matsuda. A knot formed in his throat that he could not swallow; he was in deep and he knew that, but suspected deeper should it be discovered that he fed intel to the enemy.
“Uh, I…” he fumbled for words. “I’m- I-... I- I work as… As a private investigator… for- for- for Christen Kinslee. He- He said… He said Jelica Cross was out to get him and- and-...” He tried to recall his earlier claim. “I just work for Kinslee! He just wants what belongs to him—the title of CEO at Star Synapse! His father went behind his back and arranged for Painstake Gaming to acquire Star Synapse—you- you know, the tech-”
“‘ey recently had infuhmation leaked about’em, yeh? Developin’ a new microchip, cost-effective, fuh pet identification but no moh then that was released. Media’s been on bit of an uproar, both negative ‘n’ bad feedback… Read about it on TechnologyToday.gov a wee-bit ago.” Saying that, August seemed to zone out after a long-drawn yawn.
“Uh- y-yeah…” Benji lost his train of thought but found what he could to keep going. “An- Anyway, I was hired to get proof that Jelica’s out to get Kinslee, that’s all! I don’t- I don’t even know where he is!”
Camila placed a hand under her chin and stared at a corner of the room, pretending to be in deep thought by his words.
“Private investigator… You? Now that has to be quite the exciting life! You get to uncover the truth of so many private organizations, such as Heidel Corp., Conscripts United, or even…”
She stood up from the chair, grabbing the computer screen from the top and turning it to face Benjamin, showing the Email in full.
“Element Liberation?“
August raised a brow, having heard that name often in his personal line of work, even dealt with a few members of the group, and Benjamin’s breath hitched audibly in his throat.
“Elem…ent. . .” Pale grew his complexion, then, and the boy hung his head. A moment of pause gave him time to think… Then with a quick jerk, he freed himself from Matsuda’s grip and darted past August—who casually stepped aside to allow him room—and sprung for the office window. A daring escape, but would he make it?
August snickered under his breath.
“TAZ, WHAT THE FUCK!?” Ushered Camila angrily at August. She quickly extended her tail and managed to wrap it around Benjamin’s neck, strangling him aggressively, causing him to lose his balance and tumble into the floor.
“I told you I would know if you lied to me,” said Camila in an irritated voice, not so much for the lie but for the escape attempt, she did not expect that whatsoever, things could’ve become much more difficult if their valuable hostage managed to run away
Still, aside from that, things were going swimmingly for the silver-tailed veteran, truth is that they could’ve interrogated him about Kinslee’s whereabouts without needing to check the house.
But Camila first wanted to make sure she found some reliable evidence, and thanks to a little push, she was now confident about what was really going on.
Element Liberation, huh? Now we can ask that bitch Cross to raise the bounty
“Thanks for clearing out my doubts, dear~ Now, how about you show us where our target is hiding? Oh, and just in case you try anything funny again…”
As she continued to strangle him enough that barely any air was able to go through his pipe, the end of her tail thrusted itself into his flesh, right above his left shoulder.
She aimed for 10 seconds.
“Nnng- Gaaaah!” Benji cried with tight-shut eyes and worse the strangulation grew with his struggle.
Standing over Camila, August leaned forward, peering at the boy. “Mate, moight do bettah not t’ wiggle, yeh?”
Slowly, the pink-haired boy calmed himself, both heeding the masked Tiger’s advice and half-accepting his fate at the hands of the woman. “P-Pleeease.” His voice was weak with desperation and the lack of oxygen, frail and trill. He never should have accepted Quintus Alexandre’s offer. He never should have left the safety of his office. How stupid he had been to think he could do this kind of work… Stupid… Stupid.
“I-... was-... Ngh-... Stupid.”
August nodded.
“I’m so-... -rry… … I’ll tell you-... Take you-... Just-... P-Please.”
“Great!” Camila chirped in a playful manner, pulling out the stinger and uncoiling her tail from his neck. She finally got what she wanted, and really, she never planned on killing the boy, he was valuable to their objective, and in truth, Camila found no pleasure in taking lives, even if doing so didn’t really bother her either.
“You may feel like you can’t move much, but you won’t die…Just stop being a lying fool, okay?” She gave him a smile, one that someone would have a hard time telling if it was sincere and warm, or just threatening.
“Well then, I think we have all that we wanted here, shall we go find our sneaky target?” (Collab with: Roda the Red ) Caffeine_Obsessed
