[Idea]

Tier 0: Riding broom, restricted to physical limitations
Tier 2: add slight speed boost over sprinting, flying over marshes, swamp, quicksand etc
Tier 4: add gliding from on high, over shallow waters
Tier 6: add flying over deep water, medium speed boost over sprinting

I guess it was a bit OP for a Tier 0. How's this progression? Worthy of a Rank C?

As I said, you can´t progress. The skills don´t evolve, and the power doesn´t evolve. You can keep adding new skills to fill the higher tiers to gain those new effects if you want, but those are new skills, not this skill evolving.

I'm honestly trying to get it, but I'm just not. So how would it look with the way you are describing it? All I can see in my mind is what I putting. Can you give me an example? I'm even looking at the other hero skills, and they just look like a natural progression to me. Sorry.

the tiers are not levels for an ability, they are slots. Think of them as empty boxes. Tier 0 is a a very small box, while tier 1 is a slightly larger one and so forth, until something like tier 6 is already pretty big. The stronger a skill, the bigger it is, in this metaphor. Nomatter what box you put it in,the ability won´t become bigger, or it would shatter the box. And obviously, while you can put something really small in a large box, you can´t put somehting really big in a small box.

Ok so you're saying that this isn't a skill that she could have period because it's too large for a Tier 0 box, so I've have to wait til I unlocked a Tier 6 box and just give her the entire broom ability in one shebang? This is seriously making me question my intelligence (or lack thereof).

you have that option, or you have the option of slicing the ability into various bits and pieces and add put some parts in lower tiered boxes, and and other in higher tiered ones as you unlock them

OK but I don't know how to do that. If I did, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I don't know how to convert it from a progression, mentally.

you can basically just use this, and as you unlock slots you fill them with the individual skills, rather than replacing your innitial one with something better

Yeah, I know. Even I think that I'm grasping at straws. The concept is just so interconnected that splitting it's gonna look messy no matter what I do. I've been having this problem a lot recently, and I'm nearly ready to just bang my head into my table til everything goes away.

naw. It was my fault. If I had taken a second to curb my excitement, and looked at how overloaded that ability was, we could've avoided all this. At least I know that I can use it later on, so this wan't a complete and total waste.

Potions are a witch's bread and butter. When Aenwyn makes a drink, she can imbue it with magic and increase it's best or worst quality.
