As Riyoshi was about halfway, Neji appeared next to her and this made him smile a very creepy like smile.


“Perfect. This will be easier then i had originally thought. You two had trapped yourselves inside that contraption of yours.” Riyoshi spoke out as he brought his hands together and formed a hand sign.


“Kage bunshin!” Riyoshi called out as two clones in front of him and slid to a stop before the elemental mines could be set off.


The two clones turned and faced the real Riyoshi and placed their hands together making a platform like foundation with their hands. Leaping into the air, Riyoshi placed his right foot on the platform and leaped higher into the air. Looking down upon the ground, he could see exactly where the lightning bombs were located, even were Yuka hand placed her bloody ice jutsus. The smile vanished from his face as he removed six kunai from his pouch and threw them in a hexagonal pattern around the two of them. He wanted to set off the lightning mines and cause a very problematic situation for Yuka.


Landing on the ground on the other side of them, Riyoshi had removed some shuriken from his pouch and his clones had followed in his actions. They had taken up three sides of them and formed a triangle. Riyoshi was not going to let them get out of this alive.


“You runts showed that you can be pests, but now it is time for you to perish.” All three Riyoshi’s spoke out in unison.

 

[Castello]

"You bloody fool.. You locked us in here! Ask before you play with my traps! Now we're both dead, and by stupid Riyoshi no less." Yuka said lightly face palming.


Yuka stared at all three of the clones carefully, and lifted her ice gauntlets over her head. Knowing full well if it came down to it she'd sacrifice Neji's blood for a shield. As cruel as it was.

Neji looked around with his sharnigan and smirked a little. "You guys really underestimate me and my jutsu to much." Neji made hand signs and smirked again. With this jutsu Neji can move these mines wherever he likes even if they are already underground and he can do it rather quickly. As riyoshi and his clones surrounded him and Yuka. Neji moved three of his mines one under riyoshi and the other two under his clones. Neji grabbed Yuka and vanished with her to the top of the building that was right behind riyoshi. Neji turned to Yuka "I moved mines directly under riyoshi and his clones if they move they will activate or I can activate them whenever I choose."

 

[Kaine]

A silhouetted figured rested in a near by tree. He had been watching the whole thing, determining that the young Chuunin had come under the spell of a genjutsu back before his mission to that village had been completed. For all intents and purposes that mission seemed casual case of distraught villagers, but the truth? It was far deeper than that.


When he acted it needed to be swift. He had only used this jutsu a few times. It was literally like a hack. He placed his own genjutsu on the user, it hijacked the feed of the person assuming control and let you see out of their eyes, letting you determine where they were. The downside is that the original user could see out of your eyes so even if closed, they realized someone was spying.


This was it. The man silently leaped from the highest point of the tree and aimed carefully, his shadow perfectly aligned with Riyoshi’s body. Legs first, he dropped out of the sky like a rock, his clothing fluttering with the force of the wind as he plummeted. Bringing both his hands up, he formed a string of hand seals, his right hand fingers pointed up with a hand seal in place in front of his face.


Riyoshi, catching a glimpse of a shadow that was not his own, glanced up before being struck down.


The man, clad in yellow and black garbs with a very muscular physique hit the ground with a crouching position and with blinding speed, popped up, round house kicking Riyoshi in the gut. The attack so fierce and lightning fast that it caused the other two Kage Bunshins to explode instantly. He had to cause excess harm because of how that specific Genjutsu worked. The attack would transfer to the user as if it was their real body. The injuries, not real, but the pain of the injuries very much real.


The cracking and snapping of Riyoshi’s ribs echoed clear as day. Before the young boy’s body could fly off, the man reached out with his left hand, grabbed him by the head and spinning, slammed him into the ground. Its force, crushing the dirt beneath him and raising dust.


“Activate!!!” The man yelled.


Within a second, his eyes closed and he could see where the intruder was watching from. A building, off behind him. Quickly he raised his arm and pointed. The building on the outside looked like an old abandoned ramen noodle shop.


“Quickly!! Stop the man in that building below you! He’s the one controlling your friend!!” The Hokage yelled at the two remaining Chuunin.

 

[Castello]

Yuka let out a long sigh and looked a little faint. "I.. Should've eaten, my blood, it is low." She mumbled and began to run towards the abandoned ramen shop. She moved strangely and not in a straight line, she hopped there would be water there, or she would running into a death trap.

Neji followed Yuka into the abandoned noodle shop. With his sharnigan he could see ninjas chakra who was controlling riyoshi. "Yuka he is in the far back room. Let me get ahead of you. You are low on blood." Neji got infront of Yuka as they made their way to the back room. Where like Neji said the ninja was. Neji made hand signs. "Lighting style lighting box prison." Neji was able to trap the shinobi in a lighting box prison which the shinobi could not escape from. "Yuka we got him."

Riyoshi was about to make his final move when all of a sudden a shadow covered his being. As he looked up towards the shadow, the man had already passed his reaction speed and landed an obliterating move upon the shinobi. His ribs cracked and snapped with such force that blood flew from his mouth and covered the ground. His eyes reverted from the sharingan back to his normal eyes before rolling back into his head. The force of the kick had sent Riyoshi off his feet but before he could make any distance away from the Hokage, Riyoshi was met with a hand over his face and soon the back of his head against the ground.


The man that was controlling Riyoshi was sitting nice and calmly as he was moving Riyoshi like a puppet until the Kage’s jutsu took effect. As The kage’s kick made contact with Riyoshi’s chest, the man was sent flying back into the wall, severe pain shot across his chest and made him lose enough focus that his jutsu was canceled. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists, the man heard the front door bust wide open and footsteps thunder through the hallway. The sick sadistic smile grew across the man’s face as he seen the lightning cage appear around his location.


“You seriously think that you will be able to hold a shinobi of my caliber in a cage like this? Your element is nothing compared to the likes of me.” The man spoke out as he formed a hand seal and looked past Neji.


“You had used a lot of your chakra battling the young one out there. Do you think that you will be able to stop the inevitable?” The man spoke as he looked around the room.


The entire room was covered in bomb tags. This jutsu was not going to be a small scale jutsu used for demolition, but a big scale made for pure and utter destruction. This man was not looking to just cover his tracks, but completely obliterate the group of shinobi around this building as well.


“You shall NOT INTERFERE!” The man yelled out as the entire building went up in a huge explosion.


It was as if the initial explosion pushed everything outwards before pulling everything inwards. And as the building rocked back inwards, the flames and noise burst out from the center of the room. Neji was sent hurling backwards, sliding and tumbling upon the ground before colliding with a tree. The clothes upon his back was singed and his skin was slightly burnt. His left leg, right collar bone and his right arm were broken. He was out cold from the explosion and upon hitting the tree. Yuka on the other hand, did not suffer as great as Neji, but still roughed up slightly. Since she had not made it into the building completely, she was merely rocked back by the force of the bomb, and the boom from the explosion had rendered her with an echoing sound in her head. She had also suffered from bumps and bruises as she was tossed backwards, but she had suffered from a fractured forearm upon her left arm.

 

[Kaine]

The explosion rocked the city. The building, completely leveled, as well as two of the buildsings to the side and behind it. The blast, shattering windows for a couple blocks, and a fireball, that could be seen at the hokage building all the way on the other side of the village. The 11th Hokage was utterly shocked. How could this of happened. This was damn her espionage, but from the targets and these young individuals, more like an attempted assassination on their young lives. What had that witnessed that would be cause for such dramatic actions.


The scene was gruesome, Neji, who took the brunt of the blast had burns on 45% of his body as well as multiple broken bones, Yuka not nearly as bad. All in all, Aime had taken the least daman simply because Riyoshi KO’d her at such an early time.


Within moments Ninja of all sorts arrived on the scene. Some using water jtusu to calm the flames form the building, medical Kunoichi working immediately on the other four shinobi. Carefully being loaded onto stretchers and leaving for the hospital.


Kyoraku came up behind Fen. Taking one last step he came up evenly, shoulder to shoulder with him.


“I’m sorry Kyoraku-dono.” Fen said quietly, “I thought it was under control. I never thought it would escalate so fiercely. 3 of our young shinobi are near death and I have nothing to account for.”


Kyoraku placed his hand on his shoulder, “Do not worry. No one could have predicted he would of escalated to this level. But those kids. They must have something that from the mission. Did they find something without realizing it?” He nodded asking a question he knew had no answer as of yet.


Fen Hai turned to face him. “I will get revenge for this. No one attacks out village, this is finally enough to be an act of treason.”


Kyoraku agreed, “But remember Xiang, we must tread carefully. Without understanding his end game, had cannot attack head first.”


Fen Hai nodded. He understood but he did not like the idea.


“For now, all we can do is pray those kids survive.

Chapter 1


The Endurance of Friendship

Nearly a week had passed since the explosion. Neji, who had the most substantial injuries, Riyoshi and Yuka were all still bed ridden. Aime had not. Though most of her time had been in the room with her friends while they recovered.


The families of all 4 of them had come and gone many times over the last few days but today was their checkup to be released so many of the families were not so worried anymore.


Aime sat in a chair reading some magazine about flowers and rituals. Yuka was in a bed inbetween Riyoshi and Neji.


A female medical nin came in and addressed them all.


“I will be conducting your physicals shortly. If I don’t release you, you will not return to duty until next week.”


Standing over by Riyoshi she started by removing his shirt. She applied pressure in a few places across his chest. The boy winched a little in pain, but it was mostly bruises now. The Medical Nin nodded and then jotted some stuff down on a paper. Both sides of Riyoshi’s chest were still a light purple and blue.


Making her way over to Neji, she examined his arm first, and then his leg and then had him remove his shirt as well. His arm appeared better as well as his leg, though his shoulder was still a dark purple and blue. Applying pressure to a few stops she determined he was still sensitive in his arm and his shoulder. The lady made him do a grip test as well as a movement test for his arm. After a few minutes she jotted some minor notes down.


Finally she turned and looked at Aime. Moving her finger she motioned for the young girl to sit on the bed next to Yuka. First the lady examined Yuka’s arm. Checking it for motion, and strength, then she turned to Aimeka, tugging and prodding a couple spots on her nose. Aime whined and sobbed a few times before the evil lady finally jotted the last of her notes and then stepped away.


Turning back to all four of them, she flipped through a few papers.


“Based upon my examination of all of you, Riyoshi, your bones have been mended, but your soft tissue is still damaged and weak. Medical ninjutsu works well for the solid matter like bones, but for tissue only time will heal. You are to be placed on light duty for two weeks. Yuka, your arms to seems of healed completely. It may still be tender and ache for another few days. You may return to full duty but do try to be careful.”


Rifling through some papers. She examined them carefully. “Neji, Neji. You’re one lucky boy, a shattered arm and broken leg and fractures throughout the bones in your shoulder. All of them are healing very nicely. I will allow you to return to light duty as long as you don't strain or try to hard. No hard work for another 2 weeks at the very least.”


Then she shot her icy glare at Aime. “You little missy, need to toughen up. The cartilage in your nose has been mended. However, it is still tender, and if not careful, you can easily rebreak it. Light duty for 1 week.”


She turned and headed out the door, though before she exited she turned once more to face the kids. “Also, as soon as you leave, the Hokage’s wish for your presence. It would be wise to not leave them waiting for much longer.” And with that she left.


Aime let out a sigh of relief. “Well... That was fun...” She tried to joke, though someone no one thought it was funny.

 

[Timv9]

Neji sat there in bed as the nurse came in and did her evaluation. Neji hadn't really talked this whole week while they were in the hospital. Neji was ashamed of what he had let happened. His friends needed him and he could do nothing right. Every move he made the shinobi that was controlling riyoshi countered. Neji was totally outclassed in the fight and he hated it. He is suppose to be the prodigy of the uchiha clan and if hasn't been for the hokage. Well he would probably be dead. Nejis uncle was kyoraku who along with Nejis father who is a jonin and former anbu trained him a lot as a young child and Neji felt as if he failed them his friends his clan and his village. Neji turned to the nurse. "Thank you mam." Neji sighed as he started to get up out of bed.

Riyoshi sat in his bed as he was examined by the nurse. She was a little rougher then hew was hoping, but her call was final. He looked over towards Neji and knew he was bothered by something. He did not talk the whole time they were there and Riyoshi wanted to know exactly what was bothering his cousin. As the nurse said her report to the kids, he sighed.


“One week of light duty. This sucks. At least Aime and Yuka get to have some mission time, while Neji and myself have to be on recuperation time.” Riyoshi spoke out as the nurse left the room.


Looking over towards Neji’s location, Riyoshi took in a deep breath and walked over towards Neji. Placing his hand upon his uninjured shoulder.


“Can we talk?” Riyoshi asked.


Placing his free hand upon his chest, he cringed slightly at the pain of the massive bruise upon his chest.

 

[Castello]

Yuka took one long stretch and quickly hopped out of bed and back on her feet. "Finally, I've been cooped up in here for far to long, don't kill Neji while I'm gone, Riyoshi." Yuka said in a humorous tone, but she quickly remembered something. "Oh yes, this should relieve the pain." She said freezing a cup of water and handing it to Riyoshi. "Ice is good for wounds, apply that on your face... Or whatever hurts."


She looked to Aime and shook her head. "You boys are so hot headed, watch your surroundings next time. I did and I recovered a week earlier. Anyways, Aime I am out of here, I've had enough of these two." She said walking towards the exit.

 

[Kaine]

Aime nodded with compliance, it sounded as if Riyoshi wanted to talk to Neji anyways. Getting up off the bed, she too stretched before jogging over quickly to Yuka. She was ready to go see the Hokage anyways.


"I'm coming too," she said before realizing that she may not actually be going to the Hokages office.

 

[Timv9]

Neji got up out of bed and winced in spin as his shoulder was still not healed, he turned and looked at his cousin and sighed. "Yea sure what's up?"





Neji already knew what riyoshi was going to say, but he figured he would let him just say it. Neji looked at his cousin as he waited for him to speak.

 

[backlash]

"What have you been thinking about? I have noticed that you have been super quiet this entire time. Is there anything that you want to talk about?" Riyoshi spoke out as he looked up at him.


"I need to ask about last week. I want to just know what happened, they would not tell me anything about that day." Riyoshi said as he turned towards the door way.


"Wait you two. We will all travel to the hokage's office." Riyoshi said as he slightly pulled on Neji.

 

[Castello]

Yuka look slightly bored, and gave a unamused look to Riyoshi. "And get a boring mission? Heck no I need to move my muscles around. With you guys still recovering they'll send us on a mission to save a lost cat or something." Yuka said turning around, she didn't want to make it seem like she was eavesdropping Neji and Riyoshi.

 

[Kaine]

Aime stopped as well. "That's where we were going you dunce!" Verbally abusing Riyoshi again. There was probably nothing in this world Riyoshi could do to repay her for breaking her nose. Worst part of all was that he didn't remember a damn thing about it! Plus all the higher ups told them not to tell him cause it might cause "Pain".


She snorted. "Well I'm hungry. Hospital food sucks." Turning she left the room. Aime had no desire to hear Riyoshi and Neji complain. There was a snack shop outside to the Hokage's building. She planned on stopping there and getting a sandwich or something

 

[Timv9]

Neji looked at riyoshi "nothing don't worry about it. Let's just go to the hokages office and see what he wants." Neji followed the rest of the group as they made their way to the hokages office. Neji still couldn't get his mind off of all of his mistakes during that fight.

 

[backlash]

“First off, since you two are the only fully healed shinobi in our team, i would not doubt the hokage giving you two a mission while telling the two of us to stay put in our beds until we are fully healed.” Riyoshi spoke out as he had taken the block of ice from Yuka and placed it against his chest.


Slowly following the two kunoichi from the hospital, Riyoshi kept close to Neji.


“Are you sure it was nothing? I have this feeling that it was more then nothing.I don’t know why no one will tell me.” Riyoshi spoke out quietly to Neji.


Taking in a deep breath, Riyoshi kept the ice upon his chest. Getting out of the hospital, they were met by a few Jounin.


“Hello there shinobi. We are here to escort you to the Hokage. They wanted to speak to you right away after your dismissal from the hospital.” One of the Jounin spoke out to the group.


“Just go and let them know that we are on our way. Half of us are still pretty beat up.” Riyoshi replied as he looked the Jounin in the eyes.


“I can not do that young one. We were ordered from the Hokage to stay with you until you arrive at their office.” The Jounin said back to Riyoshi.

 

[Castello]

Yuka put her hand on Riyoshi. "Just accept their help, I find it a drag to argue with them. Anyways it's not like we were going to be discussing anything special on our way there." Yuka said condescendly to Riyoshi. "Lets just go visit the Hokage so I can get moving again." She added.


(Sorry for the shorter post, wasn't sure what else to say.)

 

[Kaine]

Aime sighed again as her tummy growled like it was trying to eat one of the jounin. She would just be complacent and follow them to the office.


After a short time all of them arrived at the multi story building. It was circular in shape, but flat on top. The Hokage's office was at the top level. The jounin took their place at the side of the doorway and waited for them to go into the main floor office.


Aime went inside first. It was like reception room, having couches, a desk and a woman manning said desk, paying no attention to any of them. She wondered if perhaps they needed to sit and wait.


The lady at the desk spoke. "Please take a sit, they will see you soon."

 

[Timv9]

Neji was in the back of the group as he was still the one they had to recover the most. He slowly followed the rest of the group as they reached the hokages office. They walked inside and Neji took a seat as they waited for someone to come and get them. They waited there for a few minutes when finally another Jonin came down from upstairs. He walked over and smiled at them. "You may follow me to the hokages office now." The group got up and followed him to the hokages door.

Riyoshi had ushered Neji into the reception room and took a seat next to him. It seemed like only a few minutes went by before someone came down and called upon them. Standing up with a slight bit of pain shooting across his chest, Riyoshi followed the group to the Hokage's doors.


"Well guys. Let's see what they want. After all, they were nice enough to send four nice Jounins to escort us here." Riyoshi said with a bit of laughter within his voice.


The two Hokage were sitting at their respective desks as they were looking at the children. The 9th Hokage sat to their left side, while the 11th Hokage was sitting upon their right side. They looked at the kids and awaited them to get into the center of the room before they spoke out.

 

[Kaine]

As all of the kids finally came into the room, the door behind them closed, quietly clicking as it shut.


Kyoraku leaned back in his chair, arms folded behind his head. “Welcome,” he said, “How are you all feeling after your little accident?”


Aime kind of stared blankly, not sure about this small talk with the Hokages. She felt like she was suppose to stand up straight, be polite, and not look them straight in the eyes.


Kyoraku turned to Fen Hai before he laughed a little and turned back to the children.

 

[Timv9]

Neji stood there and looked at his uncle the 9th hokage kyoraku as he made small talk. Neji didn't want to be here he just wanted to leave so he could start training again.


Neji did not want what happened to ever happen again. He was utterly useless and couldn't stand it.


Kyoraku looked upon the children. "I know you all are probably upset." He looked directly at Neji when he said this. "But the ninja who attacked you was in a totally different class then you young ones. He would even be a match for my self and fen hai. So please do not be discouraged with what happened. We are just happy that you all are alive and well."


Neji stared at the ground and not at the two hokages.

Riyoshi looked at both of the hokages. His brows furrowed a bit at their statements. Taking in a deep breath, Riyoshi then stepped ahead of the group of chuunins.


"I think that I speak for the team when I say this. We may be alive, but we are far from well. And as for you saying that the ninja was far better then us does not tell us anything. Not a single shinobi has told me what happened that night. They all tell me that it was nothing." Riyoshi spoke out as he kept his stance ahead of the group.


Fen Hai looked upon the young shinobi. Placing his hands together, he placed his forefinger up to his chin and leaned back slightly in his seat.


"It is true that not a single was allowed to tell you about that night and the fact that you clearly can not remember that night, for it was my doing. If you knew the extent of that night, you would want to forget it anyway." Fen Hai spoke out with a harsh tone.
