Mystery (Music + Skyfilms)

Eliora removed her glasses setting them onto her lap. "I think I'm blind enough now," she was truly blind as a bat. And wouldn't be able to see anything without her glasses everyone knew. She leaned into her chair, crossing her legs and bobbing her foot up and down as she waited to meet their destination.

They drove for about an hour, reaching their destination. The rain let up with a peak of sun, which made it a whole lot better. "Ok, ready?" He got out of the car, and went around to open the door for Eliora. Holding out his hand so she doesn't lose her balance, he led her down a rock path. "You may look now." A waterfall, with a rainbow of colors glimmering off it's crystal clear water. "Beautiful isn't it?"

Eliora giggled with excitement placing her glasses onto the bridge of her nose and staring in awe at the scene in front of them. It was truly astonishing that such a thing is natural in their type of world, such beauty. The suns rays bounced off her white hair, "amazing.." She mumbled unable to remove her gaze from the waterfall.

"I love it when you show me these places..."

"Hold on, this isn't even the best part." He guided her to the edge of the water. "Look, you can get behind it. There is a cave." He split the water with his hands, revealing the open space that was once blocked by the running water.

Eliora hopped through the open area and once inside span in a circle staring at everything a large smile on her face.

"Beautiful! All of it, amazing!" She called out looking at him with pure joy. Her voice echoing off the cave walls.

Eliora hopped inside behind him turning in a circle taking in each detail with a smile.

"How do you find these places Adarian?" She pushed back her wet bangs, small droplets dotting her skin.

"It's a gift." He admired her happiness. "Too bad you hate it here. I guess it's time to go back home." He shook his body like a wet dog, water painting the cave's walls.

Eliora twisted her neck so she was looking at him, "w-w-what?" She stuttered as she gripped her arms for warmth. She wanted to stay, enjoy the scenery for a least a couple more moments.

"Kidding, kidding. I wouldn't do that to you." He took off his jacket, and placed it on her shoulders because she appeared cold. "Glad you like it. I've been waiting for quite some time to show you this place."

Eliora hugged the coat closer to her, "awhile indeed." She stated her smile faltering for a moment. She tried to keep the tips of her mouth upwards but was unable to her grin fading.

"Are you alright?" He could tell there was something that she didn't like, but he didn't know what. "Do you want to go back? I don't mind, but we did just get here."

Eliora stared at Adarian for a moment, then sighed staring upwards. "You suddenly disappeared without a word to anyone, to me..." She wondered if she had done something to offend him.

He didn't know how to reply. "Well... Something important came up. But I am here now. Doesn't that count for anything? Just look around you, it's beautiful isn't it?" He tried to give her a hug, just to lighten the mood a little.

Eliora didn't return the hug continuing to look around her instead of at him.

"We should probably begin that training..." She stated taking a step back.

She was just so happy, and now so sad. Girls are just to hard to understand, obviously. "I'm sorry, I take full responsibility for making you worry. I won't be leaving anytime soon, unless you ask me too. I promise." He was just trying to reassure her, and himself. "So, teacher, what am I going to learn today?"

Eliora stepped out of the cave and walked towards her car as she spoke, only sparing glances at him to see if he where there still.

"Observation."

"We're leaving so soon?" He checked his watch, it was 3:37. They had only been there for a half an hour. It took twice that to drive back. "Ok, fine. I'm sorry, really I am." As they approached the car, "Observation? Well, I thought maybe something more basic..." He stopped there. You should never argue with your teacher, whether they are right or not. And if it's a girl, they are always right.

Eliora slid into the drivers seat waiting for him. "Observation is key, whether your a detective or a silly clown. You must always observe," she started the car once he was in. "We'll begin with something simple," she tapped her keys before beginning to drive, "without counting them estimate how many keys are here."

"What, 30? I don't know. How does that have anything to do with observation other than looking with your eyes?" He didn't understand. She is still the Eliora he knows and loves, but she is also from a whole different planet than he remembered.

Eliora stared down at the keys, "if my memory is correct I have 32, you where close." She then looked at him quickly only for a moment but it was enough. "Now, I imagine you pack rather light, no keys or cards that could possibly be traced. And I'm pretty sure we'll need to get you some clothes...." She stated as though it was obvious her eyes glued on the road in front of her.

"Without observation and quick thinking you might as well be helping the killer escape."

"Oh, ok." He took bits of what she said in, but was still a little bit worried about her. "Take a left onto I-5 on the next right."

Eliora furrowed her brows confused as to where he wanted to go but took the right. Rising a hand to cover her mouth as she yawned, "where are we going now?"

"A detour to the house. Traffic gets really bad during this time. It's a much quicker way." It was true. They would be backed up and not get home until 6.

Eliora nodded, "did you make that observation on your own?" She emphasized the where observation.
