Mhm. That is why I like them so much; they aren't necessarily more powerful than other Exalted, but there powers sure do make people go "whuh?".
 
The Nocturnals are the chosen of Nox, the Incarna of the Night and embodiment of freedom and choice. He is the counterpart to the Maidens, a diety that defied fate instead of enforcing it. He attempted to betray the other Incarnae to the Primordials, and was defeated and bound into monitoring the loom of fate as punishment.


The original idea came from the paragraph on the Oversight Committee in Manual of Exalted Power: Sidereals, and it has been expanded into an entire fan made splat book.
 
Want to put up this artifact for consideration simply for my guy in case I get more charms, or need other alchemical bodywork done.


Magnificent Portable Industrial Panoply of the State (Artifact ?)


The Panoply is, in truth, a portable vat for use by a singular Alchemical to be capable of exchanging their charms when on long term operations away from a viable vat facility. Originally designed for explorers seeking out rare deposits and scrap or otherwise needing to handle themselves without relying on overly expensive essence expenditure of Protocols. When inactive the Panoply appears as an inert cylinder, most of its major parts stored away in Elsewhere until activated. When operational, the machine unfolds into a fully operational and automated vat with a highly intelligent Animating Intelligence customized to serve the Panoply owner and tends to their needs. Thanks to essence fabrication the device can create the all important chemical brew Alchemicals must be submerged in and the vat operates with the skills and precision of a fully operation vat facility for the owner. More rare, it holds fabrication capacity for charms should the Alchemical unlock their own necessary internal commands to access them. To make use of the device requires committing eight motes of essence to fuel its various processes.
 
I'm going to assume that it's purely for spending XP, in which case I think it should be free, or at most 1 dot. I'm not going to penalise someone just for the Exalt type they chose.


Well, except Sidereals. Obviously.


But if we're talking reskinning, or accelerated healing, then it's going to be 3, perhaps 4 dots. That's powerful stuff.
 
Yeah, its just so I can sp xp. It acts precisely like a Alchemical vat, just portable and automated so I can keep it with me to travel in Creation.
 
Have it for free then. Disappearing into a mysterious vat to emerge more powerful than before will cause enough problems without having to pay for it. ^_^
 
Making it free makes sense, something like that is an Artifact N/A anyway, so it boils down to 'it's a plot point so you have to have it, or you can't have it.' :P

Just so people can get in the mood, I'll pop up a wee "in character banter" prologue in a bit.
 
If it's openly known that Orzhov's character is an Alchemical, Elegy will want to take him apart to see how he works.
 
I switched around a few of my charms so I could pick up more of Nocturnal Hero Style. One of the new ones I picked up had to be adjusted to 2.5 (Jeweler's Expert Defense under dexterity), so I made some suggested alterations in red text.
