Elizabeth wailed and whimpered, both terrified from being yelled at, as well as Neko putting a whole bunch of blame on her, and finally from her latent fear of the forest animals suddenly invading her space. She held her knees to her face, tears rushing down as one could hear the same outside. It began to rain. Then procreated a fierce storm, very blustering wind as so. Not long after it began to rain so aggressively, one could hear loud tinks outside, as if rocks were falling from the sky. It was hailing because of Elizabeth's emotions. She had been left in the living room as Neko had stormed out, leaving Lizzy in a ball of tears. She felt as if she were sitting there forever, tears painting the hardwood floor below her—when in actuality, she had only been there for a minute or two—when Kassandra had come out of her room and came to her sister's aid.
"Elizabeth, what's wrong?" Asked the female spirit, bending over to be closer to the blonde girl. She placed a hand on her sister's back, looking outside to notice the fierce now-hailstorm that wasn't apparent until she had came out of her room. Right, she can control weather. Kassie thought to herself, a glum and concerned frown on her face.
Then Artorias had followed, then rightfully assuming that Neko had caused Elizabeth's emotion. A crack of lightning lit up the darkness under the thick clouds in the sky. It was daytime, but such masses of cloud made it impossible to say so. One would think it would already be getting dark outside even though it wasn't. "No! N-Nobody wants to play with me!" Elizabeth choked out through tears. Artorias spoke to the small girl calmly, but she knew he didn't have any emotion on his face. She thought of it as him not really caring in that matter, because she didn't have the skill of reading people yet. Sure, she could tell them what to do through the art of persuasion, but that wasn't going to work right now.
Then Iris, the mother, had appeared on the scene. The storm outside was still raging, as each hail rock had began to grow bigger and bigger with each impending minute that passed by of Elizabeth not being calm. Once the little girl had caught sight of Iris, she forced herself to her feet and took a few steps towards her before being swept up by her mother. She tried to comfort her little girl, and the blonde wrapped her arms around her, desperately needing that comfort. She didn't say anything to the mother's words, but instead cried into her chest.
Then Neko began with his rebuttal of a statement. He spoke aggressively once again, so Elizabeth squeezed her mother tightly, relying on her maternal support. He made excuses and said that the family didn't love him. "N-Nobody said t-that, Neko!" Said Kassandra, now standing up straight. "Don't j-just m-make assumptions on t-things you d-don't know for s-sure." Her nerves were once again taut, the atmosphere of the room at another one of its highs. "Everyone h-has their p-purpose in this w-world, and, if w-we d-didn't l-love you, you w-wouldn't be w-with t-this f-family right now." She finished, watching tears roll down Neko's face. She slowly walked over to him, trying to mask the heavy shaking in her knees, and entire body for that matter. With some hesitation, Kassandra wrapped her arms around Neko and pulled him into a hug. This was unlike the female spirit, because usually everyone else initiated the physical action onto her, but the boy needed some desperate comfort, so she had to force that upon herself to do.
