Arya soon found herself staring at her wolf for longer than she should.


It was hard to process she was actually gone.


At least she felt better, knowing she made the right choice now.


When the Doctor started talking again, Arya made a quick final smile to her wolf and turned around.


"Bye, girl..." she whispered.


Arya turned around, preparing to follow the Doctor who... fell.


She gasped, worried about him until he made another joke.


"So you have multiple hearts...?"


She smiled while walking over to the Doctor and helping him back up.


"I suppose I should get used to strange things like that.


Come, there's a bench here. Must be more comfortable than a stone floor."


She supported the Doctor as much as he needed it and she could give it, walking to one of the benches.

Regina rolled in her sleep, groaning quietly. Her skin, while not completely covered in blisters as it was before, was raw. It was a soft pink- the healing had accelerated the growth of the new skin, but it still stung a bit to put pressure on it. Her lungs were doing better, and the small amount of internal bleeding had thankfully stopped.


Regina snored loudly, then quickly woke up. She blinked her eyes rapidly as she slowly regained consciousness. "Whaa...?"


She saw a man hovering above her, whispering something, and started to freak out. "Who- Who the fuck a-are you?" Her voice was as sore as the rest of her body and came out ragged. She moved her raw arms against the sheet she was laying on and scooted herself back, wincing.


Then, she saw her nakedness.


"Oh my god, you didn't...." Regina crossed her legs unconsciously. The guy who was hovering above her blushed. -Wait, why would a rapist blush? Regina, in her weirded-out state, slightly heard some faint music. There was another guy, when she took in her surroundings, who was sitting down on a chair in the corner.


It's a super weird place to rape someone, Regina thought.

Well you arn't one of those wussies that don't eat meat are you? *Natsu looked with concern. She couldn't handle not eating meat, so being friends with a non meat eater would be... weird*

"Nah I'll eat meat. Sometimes I've even eaten dog food that was for Renegade when I was desperate." Lia shrugged, finally managing to make some fire. "There! I managed to light one! I didn't think I'd be able to do it."

"I do indeed. Time lords, my race, have two hearts. Other than that, we appear mostly human. But one isn't beating, and oh it hurts," The Doctor grumbled, still clutching his chest. "Hate to admit it, but I need rest. And I'm famished."


"But yes, it would be lovely if you could get used to all this strange-ish weirdness surrounding me. People often call me a madman in a box--don't ask what that means, but even a madman needs a... friend. Are we friends, perhaps?" he asked with a tired, almost lonely chuckle, gratefully taking her help when she took him over to the bench. He ran a hand through his hair. It still felt new and soft.

Adain heard the girl freaking out but figured Tyler could handle it so he poured himself another glass of wine and change CDs. He put in a Nirvana CD in and went back to the stew on the stove. Adain was glad he had everything that he had when he used to live in this house, because he found some octopus in the freezer allowing him to make octopus stew, and it smelled as good as it always had. As a side Adain found a loaf of French bread and cut it into slices about an inch long, adding butter and garlic to half and just butter on the other. "Toast and stew my favorite."

The Doctor smiled back at her. Seeing the smile on Arya's face made him feel much better. He lived for the day he could make others smile. He perked up again, saying, "Ah, yes quiet the fitting tittle, isn't it? Forget the old title I had, the Oncoming Storm, madman with a box seems to fit so much better!" He laughed for a second, but was cut off by a cough. More regeneration energy poured from his mouth, nearly gagging him. The time lord rolled his shoulders back and tried to sit up straight, pretending it didn't happen.


"Oh goodie! Just wonderful! Splendid!" The Doctor exclaimed when Arya stated that she was his friend. "You're my first friend, well, not my first ever friend. The Doctor has had friends. I just mean, this Doctor's first friend." He took her hand and gave it a firm shake before standing up again. He wobbled to the side, feeling a bit off balance with only one heart beating.


"But anyhow, friend Arya, shall we depart? And you as well, Siegfried? As much as I'd like to rest my bum on this bench for quite a long time, I'd much rather find a more comfortable place to rest and more comfortable clothes to take said rest in." He balled up a fist and hit it hard against his chest, almost knocking himself back, but certainly knocking the wind out of himself. It was his attempt to get his second heart to start beating again, but it didn't work. The Doctor frowned.


"We really should go," he said, finally sounding serious for the first time since he had opened his big yap after regenerating. "I'd rather not like to find myself regenerating again today." He knew he would if he didn't start taking care of himself, and he wasn't ready for that yet. He was a new man. He wanted some time to enjoy being his new self before that time came again.

Lia waited at camp, taking a nap until Natsu returned to her side. When she finally did return, she was glad to see Renegade with her. "You'd really consider me a friend? If so, then yes, I will say I'm happy to have a friend who brings me food." She took the meat from Natsu and began to cook it over the fire. "I'll admit I'm not used to having friends. I don't have friends often, except for Renegade."

Arya saw the cloud of magical dust coming out of the man's mouth... But she knew better than to ask what it was.


She shook his hand, watching him wobble and holding her other hand out to help him stand straight.


"You're right... We should find a place that's... more pleasant than this.


If you need to lean on me, you need only to ask."


She was planning to help the man as much as she could, it was the least she could do.


While walking outside the church with the Doctor and Siegfried, she figured it was as good a time as any to ask some questions.


"So... If I get this right... You're a time lord. And you seem to know a lot about... a lot.


What exactly do you... do? I mean, somehow we both ended up in this realm, so... I'm curious how you got here, basically."

The Doctor likely would have fallen over if it were not for Arya's helpful hand keeping him up. He took hold her her hand, his eyes ablaze with thankfulness.


"Thanks!" he chirped cheerfully, as if she had done him one of the greatest favors imaginable. "Yes, I will be sure to do that. Such skinny legs I have now. So hard to walk. Gotta get used to that." He straightened his back and tried to walk in a quirky manner, almost like he was a windup toy soldier marching about. Apparently, The new Doctor was a tad goofier than the last. Just a tad though. He was already goofy to begin with.


When Arya began to ask him questions he turned his head to her. "Indeed! Not only am I a time lord, an alien race from the planet Gallifrey, I'm the--" He cut himself off and winced, trying to ignore painful memories that popped up. He was the last of the time lords. But he wasn't ready to tell Arya about it yet. It hurt, and he didn't like to mention it often. So instead of finishing his sentence he spontaneously called out,"What a lovely hat shop!" while pointing to a building across town. "I think this new me likes hats. I'd fancy a hat. Hopefully Siegfried has many hats at his home."


He grinned, glancing to Arya again. "You were saying? Oh! Right! You asked what I do. I have fun, that's what I do! At least, that's what I do now that I'm this me. Or maybe that's what I've always done..." he mused, scratching under his chin. "But anyhow, I travel and explore the universe, all of time and space. I stole a ship and ran away to explore the universe for recreation. It's a time machine. Time machines are cool. And mine is the coolest-est. The TARDIS, she's called. I was flying in her and she malfunctioned, so I crash landed here." He paused, realizing that all he said was probably confusing to her. "It's all just timey whimey stuff. I'll show it to you later if you're interested. It's a bit hard to explain."

Yes, you'll have to show me later" she chuckled.


This might be why the Doctor said he could take her back home.


She reminded herself of the hat shop the Doctor mentioned and smirked a little.


"You'd look good with a nice hat. You need a... special kind though. Wait right here. Don't uh... fall down."


She carefully let go of the Doctor and ran toward the shop.


Two minutes later, she came back with her hands behind her back.


"Alright, close your eyes!"


If the Doctor would close his eyes, Arya would tell him to open them again after a few seconds, to find a glorious red fez on his head.

"Indeed, I will show you later, Arya. If you're interested, I'd show you many things," he replied, a grin slowly spreading over his face--the grin of ideas and possibilities. Perhaps after this mess was over he would invite Arya to travel with him. It had been a long time since he'd traveled with a child on the TARDIS. They were always so easy to impress. So full of wonder.

"A special hat? Now I like the sound of that!" He tilted his head and watched Arya rush off to the shop. "Oh, yes, I'll be right here... not falling of course! Probably. Maybe," He told her, trying to keep steady. He pounded his fist against his chest again, displeased that the action still didn't help his second heart start beating.

His eyes lit back up when she returned, excitedly raising his hands when she told him to close his eyes. "A surprise for me? Oooh I can hardly wait!" The Doctor could barely close his eyes.

When he opened them again, he gasped, realizing the most pimpin' hat in all of time and space had been placed atop his head. The freaking amazing, glorious red head covering made him happier then he would have been wearing a crown. It was red. It was awesome. It was a work of art! The Doctor looked so happy that he could almost cry. It was perfect! His life was now complete. Who cares that he had died earlier! He looked freaking epic now!

"Oh, I love it! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" The Doctor cried, whirling around to show it off to his friends. "Arya, you are a genius!" He picked her up and hugged her, before putting her back down. "It's never coming off, I hope you know. Never."

Yes, and it likely never would. Unless, of course, someone where to shoot it off his head or obliterate it--which was likely to happen if he decided to freaking annoy people by showing off the thing constantly. Which was destined to happen.

Lia was surpised when Natsu suddenly hugged her. She wasn't sure what to think about the hug at first, but after a moment she could tell that it was genuine. Natsu did care about her and valued the friendship. "It makes me feel safer to know that." she hugged her back. "It feels weird to have a friend other than Renegade, but I'm starting not to mind so much. I laugh a lot and feel good when I hang out with you and Manco. I'm so glad you ran into me and invited me to go on this trip. To be honest, I would defend you in the same manner." She patted Natsu on the shoulder and parted from her, going to finish up her cooking.

Lia was surpised when Natsu suddenly hugged her. She wasn't sure what to think about the hug at first, but after a moment she could tell that it was genuine. Natsu did care about her and valued the friendship. "It makes me feel safer to know that." she hugged her back. "It feels weird to have a friend other than Renegade, but I'm starting not to mind so much. I laugh a lot and feel good when I hang out with you and Manco. I'm so glad you ran into me and invited me to go on this trip. To be honest, I would defend you in the same manner." She patted Natsu on the shoulder and parted from her, going to finish up her cooking.

God, did she miss being happy like this.

"Of course I like it! You gave it to me," he replied, fondling the hat happily for a moment. "Plus, just look at it! Clearly glorious! My enemies will cower in fear should they see me wearing it!"


He cheerfully walked along with Arya, glancing to his clothes when they were mentioned. "Oh yes, clothes are most definitely my next goal. Food as well. Can't remember the last time I ate. I am too famished for words to express." He spent most of the last week taking care of Arya, and tended to forgot to take care of himself when doing so. Others were always his top priority.


"Perhaps you would like some food too? Having been asleep for a week, you must be starving."


He continued to walk along with Arya, eventually arriving at Siegfried's place again. (We'll just say they're going there since Cressy said it's a manor and I'm sure that would have plenty of food, resting places, different clothes, etc.) When they walked up the stairs, The Doctor grunted and touched his chest again, feeling more pain. He let out a nervous chuckle. "Siegfried must be quite good with that blade," he mumbled. The heart which had been stabbed was the one still not beating. But a little rest would fix that... hopefully.

Arya chuckled.


She didn't pick the hat for people to cower in fear at, she just thought it looked cute and funny.


Letting her imagination work on what outfit would go well with the red hat, she followed him to the manor.


Once they reached the second floor, she found a guest room with a huge, very comfortable-looking bed in it.


Arya smiled and extended her arm to it.


"Ser Siegfried, you wouldn't mind letting the Doctor rest a little, would you?"


Siegfried probably accepts.


She guided the Doctor to the bed and let him lie down to rest some more.


"Here... Don't worry about food, I'll find some around. Just lie down and rest... Doctor's orders."


She smiled again and then left the room.


Arya was pretty damn hungry herself, especially since the Doctor mentioned that she had slept an entire week.


And her clothes were starting to smell.


She'd have to pay a visit to one of the stores to get a more... modern outfit.


For now though, she looked around the house and finally found the kitchen.


Ten minutes after she put the man down to rest, she came back up to the Doctor.


"I've found some things... I don't know what most of them are, but they look like food."


She dropped a pile of things on the table.


There was yoghurt, uncooked bacon, cold beans, bread, butter, carrots, ice cream and...


Hm...


HMMMM...


HMMMMMMMMMMM.............


Okay fine there's fish fingers and custard, I'll let you have your moment.


For herself, Arya had brought some apples.


"You can have one of my apples if you'd like."

When The Doctor arrived to a room he nodded to Arya and sat on the bed, waiting for Arya to leave. "Resting" lasted all of maybe a minute or so, before The Doctor began to hop on the bed like a kid to obviously "test it" and not good off, before he plopped down to rest.


"Good fun that was! I love beds! Especially bunk beds. Bunk beds are cool." He still talked to himself quite a lot even with nobody in the room, eventually returning to his feet.


"Forget rest! I'll rest when I'm dead!" he cried, making his way over to a closet to begin searching for some new clothes.


After ten minutes passed, and Arya had returned, she arrived to see the room a bloody mess with clothes all over the floor. The Doctor's old clothes were in a pile on the ground and he was trying on--not a bow tie yet, because he hadn't found one--a tie die shirt that was much too small for him.


"Oh I hate clothes! Sometimes I'd rather just be naked!" He tore the shirt off and threw it on the floor, wearing nothing but his semi-loose old pants for the moment.


"Food?!" He questioned, finally realizing Arya was standing there. "Oh brilliant! I'll have an apple! I love apples. Apples are cool."


He made his way over to Arya immediately took an apple. It was the most ordinary thing. Of course he would like it!


He bit into the apple, nearly wanting to vomit.


"I hate apples!" he cried, tossing it to the floor. "Apples, so not cool!"


He began to rummage through some of the other food items, forgetting about his clothing hunt for a moment.


"Sooo did you see anything interesting in this house? Maybe we shall explore later!" he exclaimed, wanting to push his body to have some fun. Rest was too boring!
