More Than One?

Val said nothing, hoping he didn't notice her puffy eyes. She tucked her head down, absorbing the warmth of the fire, but it wasn't enough to warm her chilled figure. She shivered a few times, curling tighter in an attempt to keep the warmth inside her body space. She shivered again, not bothering to say anything or make a move.

Kit chews the inside of his cheek and sighs, he hated awkward silences like this. After a while, he finally speaks up. "So um, Valorie. You're a tiger, that's nice, huh." He says, and manages a small smile. "I mean, totally dangerous and cool, but I'm not... Not afraid, and I wont be, so you can relax. Everybody needs a friend, right?" He looks at her and raises his eyebrows.

Val looked up at him, pain in her eyes. "There is a reason I don't have friends. There all dead." She said, her voice ice cold, but her eyes full of pain. She put her head down to avoid further embarrassment, avoiding eye contact because she was afraid that she was going to cry again. She had already experience what it was like to take someone's life, she didn't need it to happen again.

(Hey, my friend has this RP and she's trying to get people to join, so I'm just gonna leave the link here and uh, you can do with it what you will, woop! http://www.rpnation.com/threads/a-normal-highschool-or-is-it.64975/#post-1986744 )

"And there is a reason that I don't have friends too, and that's also because they're all dead. So don't preach it like you're the only one who has problems because you're not." He says, furrowing his eyebrows and a frustrated expression showing up on his face. "But honestly, are you really going to live your life with no friends? Or at least not trying to have friends? Come on, kitten, you gotta try!" He says, shrugging his shoulders and using one hand to scratch at the new scar on his side.

Val looked up at him. "People are just a living reminder of how easy someone like me can take a life. It has happened before, and I won' let it happen again. I may not be the only one, but not only am I putting you in danger, we are putting each other at risk. If one person where to find out what I was, I would go back to the lab." She said.

"Which is why I won't tell anyone. Because if one person were to find out what I was, I would be sent back to... Wherever it was I came from. I honestly don't know. Seriously though, how often do you come across someone who'se just as weird as you, just as strange and has the same kind of feelings as you, like they're too dangerous, never be accepted?" He says, "When you find someone who shares something like this, you take it and you run with it, you don't just send them away."

Val looked at him. "I though I had found someone once and I let him in. He then proceeded to tell my secret to everyone, causing them to lure me into the forest and try to beat me up, causing them to have there throats slashed open, causing me to move here." She said, looking at him. She was never going to trust someone like him again.

"Yes, but, I can probably tell you that that guy did not suffer from being let out of fucking Pandora's box, and by which I can also probably say that it would be very hypocritical of me to tell anyone about what you are." He begins, "Secondly, why would they believe me if I did tell anyone, they all hate me already anyway, I'm just the kid who turned up a month into the school year that sits in the back of a classroom." He says, pouting slightly afterwards.

Val looked at him. "They hate you less than me. Have you ever noticed that no one goes near me? They are all afraid. Probably because I flipped a guy on his back and cracked his spine on the first day of school, but that is no the point of the story." She said. "And if you are looking for sympathy, you aren't going to find it here.

"Why would I be looking for sympathy?" He says, raising his eyebrows. "Listen, kitten, do I look afraid of you? You ripped my wing off and I still came crawling back, right?" He props his head on his hand. "This is my final attempt to get you to see that I really just want a friend."

((So how about it, you gonna join that RP??))

(Yep~)

Val just looked at him, sighing. "I guess I really have not a lot of choice. Just don't expect for people to be coming in for hugs and high fives at school." She said, her eyes flicking back to the fire.

((Yay!))

"I don't like physical contact anyway." He says, pushing his hair out of his eyes and moving closer to the fire so that he could get warmer. "So uh... Why do you turn into a tiger, anyway? Like did something happen? And why a tiger? Sorry for the questions... You're the first person I've met that has something like this."

Val sighed. "Beats me. Some stupid scientist kidnapped a child, killed the family, experimented on me and then locked me in a cage." She said, shivering at the memories. She still had memories from that, combined with memories of her killing her friends, which created lots of screaming and pain, so that was fun.

"Oh, oh right. Sorry for asking, but now I know, right? I won't say anything insensitive. Ha..." He says and frowns at her. He wondered what it was like, being tested on, but he didn't want to say anything. He wondered if it hurt. He didn't say anything for a moment, but when he did, he spoke quietly, "I'm sorry."

Val sighed, pressing her face to her knees. "It's fine. It's not like there is anything you could have done." She said, her eyes resting on the fire. She still remembered how she used to cower in fear, and after she escaped, she promised herself she would get over that fear, but it still hung over her head to this day.

Kit smiles sadly and looks into the fire, not saying anything for a while. He was thinking about his own backstory. It had been nice and warm in that box of Pandora's, and then she'd opened it, and they'd been thrown out into the cold. He didn't know what had happened to his friends, but he only knew that over the years he had gone from body to body, living and living and living.

Val shivered again, rubbing her arms. She took some of the sticks she had gathered, and tossed them on the fire, desperately trying to keep warm. She would have transformed again, but she didn't want to risk her anger gaining control of her body again, as her body was already exhausted, but she was to cold to sleep.

"You know, we'll probably die out here, we need to go and get warm." He says and looks at her. His arms and chest felt numb, considering he was shirtless. "I think I'll go home though, considering my shirt is bloody and in the middle of the woods somewhere." He says absentmindedly, quietly, as he looks down at the floor. He really didn't want to go home.

Val sighed. "My home is probably the same temperature, so there is not much difference." She said, trying to warm up. She shivered again, trying to keep warm as she rubbed her arms. She had crappy heating in her house, which didn't help because in the summer, it was up full blast and it wasn't even on in the winter.

"You could come to my house? My mother has the heating on ridiculously high." He says, raising his eyebrows at her and standing up. His mother wouldn't be home, and there were so many boxes in his house, but he couldn't just leave this girl in the cold.

Val looked up, sighing. "Better then sitting here and freezing." She mumbled, standing up and trying to avoid shivering her skin off. She took some dirt and tossed it over the fire, the flame going out. She shivered at the loss of heat, scooting closer to Kit.

Kit was about to wrap his arm around her for warmth when he realised she probably wouldn't like that at all, so he instead just started walking out of the cave and into the forest. He didn't know where he was actually going, but he presumed that if he just kept walking then he'd find his way out eventually, if he didn't freeze to death first, and hell, maybe he'd even find his jacket.

Val was getting colder and colder by the minute, scooting closer to him minute by minute. She was shivering by now, her bare arms covered in goosebumps and almost as pale as the snow around her. She shivered again, the falling snow not helping very much with that. She pressed her body gently against Kit's the warmth inviting.

Kit looked down at her when she touched him, and decided that, fuck it, they were both cold, and he wrapped one arm around her casually to keep her warm. As they walked, he found the area where he had changed earlier, the blood still on the floor and the shirt and jacket on the floor. Letting go of Valorie, he walked over and picked them up. The jacket didn't have blood on it, thankfully, and he picked it up, then his shirt, which did have blood on it but was better than nothing. He pulls the shirt over his head, then offers the jacket to Valorie.

Valorie felt his arm snake around her, her skin to cold to reveal her blush. She walked that way for a while with him, her heart beating a little bit faster. Last time she had let someone do that, he ended up being buried in the ground. She walked with him until they reached a spot where there was a bloody shirt and a jacket. As Kit left her, she realized that they where his, as he put on the shirt and passed the jacket to her. Grateful, she took the jacket and wrapped it around her cold body, returning to his side to keep warm.
