More Than One?

"Maybe I'll come up? I'm all about taking risks, you know." He says, and he smirks as he says it, before he stands. He wonders what she'll say when she sees him like he is, if she'll be afraid, if she'll go running, and he grins maniacally as he thinks about the look on her face.

Val growled. "You will end up with you're eyes gouged out if you try that." She said, her fingernails piercing her palm. She sighed and looked at the small stream of red that was slipping down her hand, and she let her tongue run along the cut.

"Oh, that was on my list of 500 things to do, remember? I wouldn't much care." He laughs slightly and begins to climb up the tree, the hooks of his wings acting as extra support. He stops on a branch a few down from Valorie's. "Why are you so hostile? Seriously?" He asks her as he perches on the branch like a gargoyle, his wings helping to stand him up.

Val's eyes narrowed. "You don't want to find out." She said, the growl growing louder. She perched on all fours on the branch, pulling her arms towards her, causing the bark to peel. "Trust me when I say, you don't want to get near me." She said, her hair cascading over her face. She felt her breathing become deeper, and she closed her eyes, shaking her hair.

"What if I do want to find out?" He asks, raising his eyebrows, looking down at the snowy ground. "And saying that I don't want to get near you, makes me want to get near you even more." He says and he scratches the cheek that didn't have a hole in it. "If it's any consolation, if you think you're weird, there's not much that could weird me out."

The last human words that could be heard where "I am dangerous.", but it sounded more like a deep throated growl, the growl soon turning into a powerful roar, a tail slinking out behind her body and her ears re appearing and pressing to her head. Her nails scrapped against the bark, her eyes flickering open every once and a while.

Kit could only just make out what she had said before he realised the hard truth that she was the tiger from before. He hears the roar, and looks up to see the tiger. He grins an evil grin, "So am I." Pushing himself off the branch and letting his instincts take over, as he let his wings push him upwards and help him stay in the air, he flies upwards and faces the tiger.

Val looked at him. Her tiger form was not afraid, her eyes narrowed. The civil Val was all but gone, there was nothing to do that would bring her back from this state of mind, except her human body, or blood. It was awful when she was like this to smell blood, due to the heightened senses. But that did not matter, as the tiger she is and always will be was visible again. A loud roar erupted from the beast as her muscles launched her forwards as she slammed into him with full force.

Kit kicked at Valorie, holding back slightly so as not to hurt her too much, he was strong, very strong, when he was in this form. Using his arms he pushed her away from him, and flapped his wings to push himself through the air and away from the tiger, hoping that she'd fall off the branch and to the ground. Smirking at her, he twiddled his fingers at her, taunting her. "Aw, little Valorie."

Val was flung back to the branch, her claws grabbing onto the branch. Her fur bristled, her mouth letting out another roar, her position defensive. Her large paw reached out and scratched at him. Her tiger form gave her heightened senses, but this might have been the first time her tiger form was attacked at.

"Honestly, you should calm down, little kitty." He laughs as he flies out of her reach yet again and folds his arms across his chest. "I think maybe you should just... Take a moment to think, hm, this kid really understands how I feel."

Val was beyond reach. "I am not some pet." She managed to growl out, her claws digging into the bark beneath her as she latched onto the trunk and began to climb higher up the tree.

"I don't want to hurt you," he says, laughing slightly as he puts his arms behind his head, "but I won't hesitate to bite back, kitten." He smirks, knowing now that she would no longer be called Valorie to him, he'd be calling her Kitten from now on.

Val roared louder, her eyes becoming more furious at him. She climbed onto a branch near him, her eyes narrowed into little slits. She reached out her massive jaws and snapped at one of his wings.

With one of his wings being threatened, Kit leaned forwards and flicked Val on her nose and flew backwards. "Don't bite kitten, it's not friendly." He laughs and taunts her with his fingers again, before sticking them in his pockets. "We could be great friends, you and I."

Val roared again. She was unreachable by words. Her claws dug into the bark of the tree as she lashed out at his wings again. Realizing that being on the branch was not helping her, she jumped out towards him, latching onto his wing.

The weight of the tiger pulling at his wing, and the tears scratching down the hard skin, he cries out in pain and tries to kick her off as they spiral to the ground, and land in a heap of wings and fur.

Val takes her claws out of his wing as she lands on the ground. She stands above him, her large paw raised with her claws when the sight of his crippled wing comes into view. The putrid scent of rotting flesh enters her nose as she looks at her claws, shreds of skin lying there. Her eyes grow wider, less like slits and she backs up, soon running off into the forest.

Kit sits upright, but doesn't follow her, curling his injured wing in towards him and looking at the gaping hole in it. He wipes away a tear of pain as he feels his entire body screaming at him for being so careless and dumb. His body had a language of its own when in this form, like he wasn't completely in control. He pushes himself upright, but the wing being so weak wouldn't support him, and the weight of the other one sent him toppling over. Now he knew why birds with injured wings couldn't go anywhere.

Val could hear the school bell ring in the distance, but she didn't bother going back. She kept running, her eyes wide with fear. She found a cave after a long time of running, and she stopped, trudging inside and flopping down, her sides heaving. She could feel her form transform back, her human body now left shivering on the floor of the cave. She looked at her hands, tears filling her eyes. "Never again." she whispered, curling up and letting it all out. There is no one who could care for a beast.

Kit didn't know how long he sat there, cradling the broken wing in his hand, when his body began to change again. He cried out as his bones changed, the body urgently trying to repair itself. There was no blood this time, only extreme agony, and the bones in his wings now twisting and changing, until they soon came back into his back. The two sharp teeth fell out, and slowly but surely the normal ones replaced them. He pushed himself to his feet when he was done, his boots making dents in the snow as he began to walk in a random direction for shelter from the cold, which was affecting him now that he didn't wasnt in his other form. He couldn't remember where he had left his jacket, and he slowly walked through the forest, confused.

Val had gathered a bit of tinder and started a fire, a small one though. The cave was col and lonely, but that is the way her life always was. She sighed, her eyes red and puffy. She was glad none of her classmates where around, because otherwise she would have appeared weak and she might have snapped again.

Seeing light over in a small cave, Kit trudged towards it, his arms covering his bare chest. He wished he hadn't taken off his shirt as well as his jacket, but desperate times called for desperate measures, and now he was cold. He walks slowly into the cave, until he sees Valorie, and he stutters, "Right, okay, this cave is taken." He looks longingly at the fire, and knows that he should probably leave now before he ends up dead.

Val hears a noise at the entrance of the cave and she looks up. She see's Kit at the front and she shifted her gaze back to the fire, resting her head on her knees, her arms surrounding her head. She had abandoned a lot of her jackets and scarfs in her locker, as they make her tiger form weird and bulky. She said nothing, her gaze pointed at the fire.

He looks at her, she appeared to be sad, and he had thought that she would just be angry. Inching slowly into the cave, he sits down across from her by the fire, and appreciates it warming him up. "I'm going to sit her, and I mean, you don't have to speak to me or anything like that, I just really want to get warm." He says and outstretches his hand towards the fire.
