Mistress of the Elements
Nova shivered at the thought of death and knowing that it wouldn't bother him made her wonder. She listened to his instructions thinking of an offer that she could have. Now it was her turn after he finished.
"I Nova accept your offer. In exchange I will learn to accept help when I know I need it and express my emotions rather than bottling them up. I will pay the price given to me as long as I am yours. I hereby declare myself your vessel."
Growing up the way she did Nova was used to doing everything entirely on her own. She never accepted help even when she needed it most nor did she allow herself to believe she needed it. She's been in some tough situations because she refused to ask a soul for assistance when she definitely couldn't do it alone. It was a major flaw in her that needed to be fixed like her complete inability to express her emotions to others. Nathan was the first person in ten years who she shared her honest thoughts with and she was barely comfortable with that. She had a habit of letting her feelings stay bottled inside until they explode in some unhealthy form.
Now that she said what needed to be said she wasn't sure what would happen next. Was it like signing a contract and that was it? Was there some kind of laser light show that was to happen? The wolf did mention pain and discomfort but she wasn't sure how that was to go as she felt nothing, that is, until this red ribbon wrapped around their hands. It wrapped around their fingers up to their wrists as if it were connecting the two. "W-Wha-" Her eyes widened watching what was taking place but then the pain he mentioned earlier had come with it. At first, the pain was slight discomfort but it swiftly changed to a stabbing full body pain. It was like someone was slowly stabbing every inch of her body with a thick burning needle. Nova let out a scream loud and bloodcurdling as the energy was transferred into her body. A tear fell from one eye sliding down her cheek from the shock as her legs buckled tempting her to drop to the ground. It took a lot to hold on to him but she kept her hand there locked with his. When the bright light had vanished with the ribbon and everything was done Nova felt different. Exhausted but nothing like she'd ever felt before. It was too much and it was too difficult to stay standing upright. Her bright blue orbs dulled like a person who was on the verge of passing out. She wobbled a bit almost like a person who had just been electrocuted then fell backward to the pond.
