Alyss gladly shook Dmytri's hand and said, "Yup, I'm Alyss." She smiled at their first formal greeting, though they had been walking around in the group for a few minutes. Alyss peered into Jack's roommate's room, aware of her and Julia's task of inviting this... inconsolable youth... to join their group on Alyss's first job. She tried to sneak in this invitation during a pause in Jack's and his roommate's conversation. "Um... Hey, I'm Alyss... We were—well, Julia, Largo, Dmytri, Jack, and myself, that is—were looking for more people to join our group... to, um, go on a job..." Alyss nervously offered, finishing her drawn-out sentence right before Jack switched off the music. Alyss looked down and hoped the new guy had heard her so she wouldn't have to repeat herself.
The spindly man walked around his torn-up house, Dom's eyes following him. The old man dug out a small leather pouch from beneath an overturned table and handed them both fifteen dollars. Dominick looked up from the bills and exclaimed, "W-what? I thought... I thought your request said $80!" The old man waved his hand and said, "What are you talking about? I clearly wrote $30 under the payment section." He didn't seem upset by this at all. "Besides, the two of you barely did anything. I could've done that!" Dominick thought to himself, Well, you didn't. However, he didn't continue arguing with the man as he doubted that he could win. Begrudgingly, Dominick took his measly payment back through the mirror and to the campus. He walked through the halls toward his room, #135. On the way, he saw a long-haired girl [LARGO] walking very slowly in the same way he was going. She looked kind of depressed, and off in her own world. Dominick fell into step beside her.
"Hey, are you okay? Just thought you looked kind of down... Not to be creepy or anything. By the way, my name's Dominick."
