Dealer of Fates
(Welcome back.)
Largo reached the top up the brick staircase, carefully pushing her bangs back to cool off her face. The temperature on the way up was a bit more intense, as the steps were directly in the sunlight--which baked into the mortar. When she reached the small platform she opened the heavy black door to the dormitory hallways. It was a shortcut that most people who've been around a while knew. She held the door open, allowing the cool air to flow out as she waited for the group to file in. Dmytri apologized again and it seemed obvious between them that she should be the one to speak up. She wasn't exactly sure anything needed to be said, but at the least she felt obligated to acknowledge his words.
"I didn't mind." she finally said as he trailed up the stairs with everyone else. She didn't specify on what she didn't mind, but she did continue to say, "and you only get upset with the people you care about, right?" It was rhetorical and supposed to be a comforting statement. He was very apparently still fretting about the small fight and his sister's opinion, he was a sensitive person indeed.
