Midnight Island [Inactive]

Sariel cast a nervous glance over her shoulder at the sound of snapping twigs, pulling herself into Felix's hut, her eyes darting around widely, trying to find the knife that Felix had taken yesterday, she felt herself growing weak from loss of blood, but began rummaging through his stuff. The wispy strands of dirty blonde hair falling around her face.

Darian arrived at the girl's destination. He was mildly surprised to find that it was Felix's quaint little hut. Easily flipping down to the entrance of the hut, he spoke in a low, hushed voice, as if there was someone he didn't want hearing what he said. "Hello, little girl. What have we here? Snooping around in the dwelling of a vampire, are we? Well, that is unacceptable. How would you feel if we drank your blood without your permission?" Then, with a sarcastic laugh, he continued, "Oh, wait, those two young ones did just that. My apologies for their lack of etiquette. I assure you, when I take care to drain every last drop of life blood from that mortal body of yours, I'll make sure to request your consent." He left the implication that he'd force her to consent unspoken. "Now, I wont' hurt you, not in your state, but I'd like you to return to the beach with me." He raised one delicate, pale hand towards her, as if offering her aid, which was ironic coming from him.

Xavier lost his balance and fell, looking at the human attached to his leg. Was he seriously biting him? Xavier's mind was blank, not able to fully comprehend what Frank was doing, but knowing it actually hurt a little. Baring his teeth at the boy, Xavier's eyes darkened to almost a black green and he kicked Frank, then pinned him down to the ground. "You're really f***ing annoying, you know?" His composure was gone for the first time since he got to the island, fed up from having to deal with the boy all morning and part of the previous night. "I could kill you right now and never think twice about it," he mused aloud, his mind going off in many different directions on how he could kill the boy as slowly as possible.

Frank took the kick, the slowly turned his head towards Xavier, he bared his teeth right back, and let out a loud roar. He clawed at his face, he punched, and bit and did anything that he could do with his body. He had totally lost himself, he acted out of animal instincts. He, who was normally reserved, had succumbed time and time again, be it lust, for girls and blood, or simple rage fueled violence, he had no control since he'd come here. He was no better than them. He was worse perhaps, they still had themselves.

Frank's attacks did little to nothing against Xavier, only making him more annoyed. Growling, he caught one of Frank's arms and twisted it to a painful if not broken angle, then held the human's head down in the sand. Xavier's fangs pulsed behind his lips, instincts that he had been holding back for decades kicking in. In a fluid motion, Xavier held the boy down in a better position and let his fangs sink into Frank's neck, the taste of blood flooding his mouth. Closing his eyes, Xavier sat and slowly drank the human's blood, letting go when the boy was close to being unconscious. Licking his lips and wiping his mouth off, Xavier stood up as his eyes returned to normal.

Frank made an attempt to stand, he couldn't. Xavier had sapped all his power. Some 'noble warrior' he was. He tried several times, and on the sixth try, he got to his feet, he was extremely shaky. He took a swing, and fell again. He stood once more, he couldn't lose, not now, not ever.

"Blood sucking leech!" He called. Frank was tempted to try the same move, but drinking blood didn't put it back in your system. He chastised himself for even thinking the idea. The smell of blood felt intoxicating. He still couldn't think straight. He grabbed Xavier's shoulder. "I'm gonna knock your teeth in." He said, dropping off towards the end. Frank balled his fist and cocked his arm. He brought it forward, at the last second his fist to the teeth, became a finger aimed for the eye. A dirty trick if there ever was one.

Sariel looked over at Damian through narrowed hazel eyes, she had found what she was looking for, and held the knife behind her back, she reached out a hand to grasp the vampires but ended up ducking under his arm instead, scrambling down the tree landing with a thud against the ground. Picking herself up she bolted towards the beach her vision blurring every once in a while causing her to stumble. Making it to the sand she ran towards Xavier coming up behind him she stuck the knife into his back, blood splattering against her face. Pulling the weapon back out she took a few paces back, standing beside Frank, her eyes widening at the sight of him

"Frank let's go! Please!" Her voice thick with desperation and fear, Sariels body shaking slightly.

Clara opened her eyes. She still felt like crap. She looked out the window from her bed.

"Man...I really want to go outside...damn stomach virus." Clara groaned to herself. She was hoping that she would soon feel better so she could go outside. Clara sighed and turned away from the window.

Darian tsked in response to the foolish little girl's actions. 'As if she could get away from me. And what does she think she'll do with that knife? It's even smaller than the rabid boy's machete; both blades would shatter upon contact with my skin. I can scarcely believe how humans have forgotten the true might of vampires.' he thought as a cold wind blew through the forest. Then, as if carried away with the wind, he was gone, having chased after the girl. He gave her a few minutes headstart, but he caught up to her easily. "Little girl, you can't simply keep running and expect to deter a vampire." Noticing the wound in Xavier's back, he replied, "Well, what a surprise. You sure are a feisty one. I suggest you don't try the same trick on me. I am not as fragile as the young one, and even he was only wounded because he is weak from a lack of blood for years. Now then, I believe I asked you to come with me." Once again, Darian extended a lone, pale hand to the obviously terrified girl.

Xavier was blocking for the punch to the mouth, but the finger in the eye wasn't expected. Taking a few steps back from the boy, Xavier held a hand over his eye, thinking that Frank had gouged it out for a spilt second. His vision was blurred in that eye, and made it difficult to see anything straight. Opening his mouth, Xavier was going to say something to Frank along the lines of cheating, but coughed violently as something stabbed into his back. Stumbling a few steps back Xavier sat on the sand, coughing again into his elbow and looking at it curiously when there was blood. 'Damn girl clipped a lung,' he guessed, hoping that she hadn't stabbed straight into one. He looked up at the two humans and laughed bitterly. "Those were dirty tricks," he said, dragging himself to his feet and wincing from the wound in his back. Throwing a glance at Darian, a silent request to keep the humans there, Xavier took off into the woods, faster than a human could run, but stumbling and slower than a vampire should. Xavier found his tree, climbing up to the little platform and leaning against the tree trunk. There weren't any supplies, Xavier never having the need for them before, so he took his shirt and made strips out of it, wrapping them around the wound. Closing his eyes, Xavier decided rest would be a good thing, and slowly fell asleep.

As Xavier scurrried off to tend to his wounds, which where rather paltry and trifling in Darian eyes, he gave Darian a look that Darian understood as asking him to prevent any attempts at continued pursuit by the humans. Darian responded with a nearly indiscernible nod. 'Very well, young one. I shall clean up the mess you've made. Now, go and tend to your scratches. I wouldn't want you to be even weaker than you normally are if another encounter arises.' his eyes seemed to say to Xavier. Turning, he looked at the humans with a dull, rather bored look in his eyes. "What shall we do with them, Felix?" he asked of the younger vampire standing adjacent to him. "Look at this one... He's like a rabid dog. You know, I never much liked the taste of such humans. Perhaps we should put him down, like the dog he is."

Then, his gaze flicked over to the trembling girl, who was still holding the knife in a defensive position. In a blink, he was next to her, having grabbed the hand that held the dagger. Holding up his hands in mock surrender, he said, "And you, the stupidly brave litte girl. Here. You have what you wanted, don't you? A vampire that you can skewer and fillet to make up for your lost... innocence." He smiled a gleaming, fanged smile. Before anyone could react, he moved his hand and forced the girl to thrust the blade into his chest. "How does that feel? Can you feel the warm blood gushing out of my body onto your hands? Does it thrill you to know that you are the reason my life essence is seeping into these sandy beaches? That is the feeling I crave, and I will attain it, but everything in due time."

Stepping back and letting go of her hand, he revealed something that was surely a shock to the humans. The blade had, in fact, torn a hole in his suit. However, upon contact with his skin, the knife had shattered so that all that remained in the terrified girl's hands was the hilt. Through the hole in the shirt, his pale skin could be seen, flawless, untouched, and with a distinct dearth of any marks that would signal a weapon having been thrust there moments ago. On the sands where he stood before, not a single drop of is blood had been spilt. "Do you see now, humans, how hopeless your situation is on this island?" he snarled. "You may have your fun with young Xavier. You may even bite your thumb at my boy, Felix. However, when the time comes, when my time comes, I will hunt you, and all you will be able to do is prepare yourself for the sensation of your life being drained, leeched from your limp body." As quickly as he'd come, he appeared back at Felix's side. To him, Darian said impatiently, "Here. Do as you like, Felix, but do hurry up and decide quickly. I tire of these games."

Frank stood, he was feeling, oddly enough, stronger. He grabbed his neck, the bleeding had stopped. Frank felt that urge again, the urge to kill that vampire. He couldn't resist. That trait he thought to be the tales of an old man, became reality. Frank's muscles felt stronger, his legs, faster, his senses, sharper. He was looking at Felix, when a feeling hit him, a feeling he never experienced before, a pain so great, he collapsed. His battle became internal, a fight between himself, the educated young man, and something else, a hunger, a lust, for all things sinful. When at last this battle was at an end he stood, he glared at Felix. His eyes, normally ice blue, glowed bright crimson. Frank let out a laugh that was as evil as anything. He walked slowly towards Felix, his entire body twitching with power, barely contained.

"Let's make this even." He took Felix's own words, and made them cold as ice. "You have yet to see my power, and you seemed to have underestimated me, a fatal mistake." Frank did not know where the words came from, but he felt compelled to say them. He had no clue what was happening, and it scared him greatly. He stopped only when he was nose to nose with Felix. Frank's armed moved at lightning speed, he lifted Felix of the ground by his neck. "I may not be able to asphyxiate you, but I can break your neck easily enough."

(This has been long coming, thanks to Xavier giving that "love bite", Frank's family trait has emerged, with perfect timing.)

Sariel gasped, her voice getting caught in her throat as the knife she held was forced into the older vampires chest, or so she thought. Causing her to let go and stumble backwards, her eyes wide as he revealed the shattered weapon and the unharmed vampire body. Her heart began to pound, head spinning. She barely had time to calm herself down before Frank was off now attacking Felix. She screamed as Frank's eyes turned red and lifted the vampire off his feet by the neck. She couldn't take it, she had to get out of here. Her hazel eyes shown with fear and distrust for all three guys, and raced towards the cabin. She had to get off this island.

Felix let out a low growl but it was cut off short when he felt pressure to his neck, and the next thing he new was that he was unable to breath. But vampire didn't need to breath any way, just was a habbit, and when his breath was cut off, it wasn't painful, but it was extremely uncomfortable. He couldn't help but pull the corners of his mouth into a wide grin.

"WOW! Look what he have here!" He choked out,

"A human with vampire strength, a half breed possibly?" He wasn't expecting this, what fun. He kicked his foot into Frank's gut and pushed him away, both of them landing on the ground. Rubbing his neck a bit angrily, he shot Darian a glance, wondering what he thought of this. Could he attack Frank? When he was sort of... on of them...

Darian was genuinely surprised. So much so that his normally bored eyes widened. Suddenly, he laughed. A charming laugh that wound its way around all those who heard it, ensnaring them, yet containing insidious undercurrents as to the nature of their source. "What an amazing development! This specimen... it is simply marvelous!" he shouted as he almost pranced around the two figures engaged in combat. "I haven't seen on of your kind in years. I had a pet once, perhaps you were related. Regrettably, I had to terminate him when his antics got out of hand." Stopping his abrupt dance, he spoke to Felix. "These beings have some of our physical abilities. However, they eventually go insane when our blood consumes theirs. Until then... I suspect that killing this boy will actually be somewhat difficult for you. Still, you have my permission to do so. This island is in need of pure, human blood. He is tainted, and as such, he is not suitable for either the human or vampiric populations."

Once again noticing the girl trying to escape, he quickly grabbed her wrist, almost breaking it in the process. Darian unceremoniously dropped to sit on the sandy beach, and he pulled the girl with him. He moved his hand and forced her head to his shoulder, as if to keep her scent nearer to his olfactory sense. Any resistane from her would result in her neck being snapped, although Darian was fairly sure the terrified girl wouldn't try to escape again, if her pathetic whimpering and trembling were any indication. He waved a hand at the two figures who had paused, as if giving approval. "Proceed, Felix. And you, boy... amuse me, if you can."

Frank stood and roared,

" I am no pet!" Frank's eyes glowed brighter for a moment. He swung his fist at Felix's head. "I'll kill all of you!" Frank's rage was as strong as ever. Frank didn't know about 'pets', he'd never seen a vampire before yesterday. Something about that bite activated a trait hidden deep within his genes, something hidden away, not to see the light of day. It was a trait he knew of, but dismissed when he was a young boy, a trait that saw his ancestors shunned, banished after years of dutiful service to Europe's masses. The stories he thought of as the fancies of grandparents were all true, he'd have time to think of that later, he had more pressing matters to attend to. Frank had vampires to slay, a profession, unbeknownst to him, he was born for.

Sariel shivered against Darian, her head tipped back against his shoulder blood skin exposed,

"Frank..." Was all she could manage to say, her chest rising and falling quickly as she tried to regain her breath. She closed her eyes, swallowing hard, not wanting to watch. Her body hurt, she felt as though she couldn't move another step, she tried to forget where she was, or what was happening.

Felix hissed, pulling his lips back in a snarl, exposing his fangs.

"You disgust me." He spat and moved towards the half breed, ducking under his hand as Frank swung a punch at him, darting to his side he punched him in the ribs then grabbed his head, bringing it down against his lifted knee, shoving the half human half vampire to the ground.

"You don't belong anywhere. You pathetic, sorry excuse human and or vampire, whatever you are." He barked angrily taunting him with narrowed crimson oculars.

Frank stood, very slowly, very deliberately.

"You weren't a match for me before, what makes you a match for me now?" He asked, cocking his head to the side and giving a quizzical look. Frank moved quickly and swept Felix's legs from under him, landing him on his back. He rabbit punched Felix square in the nose. He then placed his knee over Felix's neck, knee on the ground on one side, foot on the other, with the shin placing plenty of pressure on his throat. "Is this your best?"

Darian could smell the girl's blood, and for some reason, he was compelled to drink it. 'My years should all but extinguish this need for blood. Yet, this girl... how can she make me need her blood so desperately. Perhaps... a small drink wouldn't be...' his thoughts trailed off. Slowly, he turned his head, avoiding the attention of those fighting, and sank his fanks into the girls neck, inch by inch, his shiny, white canines disappearing into her supple skin. He could feel the whimpering girl resist, but he paid her no heed. Darian intended to drain only enought to ameliorate his craving, but once he tasted her, he couldn't stop. 'Blood... warm, pumping blood... No! This, I cannot allow!' he thought in his blood-addled state. With herculean effort, he pulled himself away from her, leaving her in a semi-conscious state, which was fortunate for her because as he pulled himself away, Darian had inadvertently dislocated her left arm and shattered her forearm.

Licking the blood from his chin with his tongue, he purred to the girl, "My apologies. Your taste was... exquisite. Simply marvelous. Don't worry, I think I shall keep you as my own, personal human. Would you like that?" As if on command, the two entry points where Darian had bitten the girl began to seep blood that somehow burned a distinctly ornate, cursive capital "D" into her neck. Satisfied, he began to quietly hum an eerily dreadful, yet hauntingly beautiful tune and stroke the hair of the limp body beside him as he turned his attention back to the quarrel before him.

Felix growled and struggled under Frank roughly enough to cause him to give up a bit of pressure so he craned his neck down and bit down onto his legs that was holding him down, before shaking him off, his wide eyes bright with anger, teeth barred like a wild animal as he rolled over on top of the half breed, blood dripped out of his mouth,

"Drink it! Taste Sariel blood!" He spat, spitting the girls blood onto his face wrapping his hands around Frank's neck he banged the boys head against the ground.

"You are a monster, face it!" He shouted strangling him,

"I don't need air, but do you?" He experimented, tightening his grip around his neck, opening his mouth ready to drain the boy of blood if he needed to.

Sariel struggled realizing what Darian was about to do, but soon gave up, unable to fight back against this guy, she felt his fangs sink into her skin, and then slowly felt weaker and weaker as if she was slipping away, into a deep sleep. Close to passing out she noticed he had stopped, barely able to keep her eyes open she felt a faint shape burn into her skin, but she could hardly tell. Her dark eye lashes caressed her cheek as her eyes fluttered closed, very close to being unconscious.

The blood hit Franks mouth, his face went blank, he didn't know why, but he liked it, no, loved it. He returned his face back to normal, looking at Felix defiantly, though he was being choked. He waited for an opening, and kneed Felix in the balls as hard as he could. In the distraction, he crawled towards Sariel.

"Sariel..." He ignored Darian, and and reached a hand towards her. "Sariel." His voice was pained, he was fighting again, he cared deeply for her, but he loved her blood, which did he love more? Frank stopped, this was not the time. He stood, and turned to Felix. "I am going to do something very unpleasant, for both of us. I hope you'll be gentle." Frank kicked the back of Felix's knee, bringing him down. He held Felix's head in one hand, and his shoulder in the other. Frank opened his mouth and sank his teeth deep into Felix's neck, not knowing how, he sucked long and deep. He tasted the blood, it was bitter, yet oddly pleasing.

Sariel blinked her eyes open slowly, her vision blurring but soon focused on Frank, and his out stretched hand, she swallowed hard at the sight of blood, pretty much everywhere, on his body. Not sure if it was his or some one elses. She shrank back but realized she was still in Darian's arms and instictively reached for Frank.

Felix cried out in pain, that was cruel, and quite low for someone who would know what it felt like to get kicked there, he fell back on the sand shaking slightly, half in pain half because of rage. He felt himself forced up into a seated position and something sharp get sunk into his neck, he felt calmed. It wasn't his blood he was drinking, well it least not all of it, mostly the blood of victims. He felt like he himself was being cleansed, yet at the same time, drained. He shivered slightly and when he had regained a bit of strength he tore away, Franks teeth ripping out of his neck, the vampire stumbling away, teeth barred, but turned into a smile.

"Have fun living with yourself, you are no better than one of us. You betrayed your own kind." He knew it would be more painful for the human than it was for him getting kicked in the balls. Much, much worse, as the vampire blood slowly ate away at him on the inside, physically and mentally. He darted off, like Xavier not nearly as fast as a vampire should go, obviously in a lot of pain.

Darian watched in amusement. He continued his quiet song as he stroked the girl's hair, ignoring the hybrid's outstretched hand. He had half a mind to step on the hand, wanting to relish the feeling and sound of the boy's philanges and metacarpals crunching and breaking under his foot. But, surprisingly, the boy then assaulted Felix, drinking his blood as if Felix was a human. At this, Darian felt inclined to comment, talking to the girl. "It seems our esteemed friend here really is ignorant about my kind. I wonder if he knows that vampire blood will never satiate another vampire quite like human blood. Yes, I highly doubt that that boy is aware that eventually, the older the vampire is, the more toxic his blood becomes. If he continues like this, he may soon burn from the inside out from my firiend, Felix's, blood. Oh, what a spectacle that would be, wouldn't it?" he stage-whispered, obviously intending for the blood-lusted hybrid to hear his words.

Then, he turned his gaze back to the girl in his arms. Her blood called to him, but he restrained himself more successfully this time. Leaning down, he whispered in her ear, uncaring as to whether she was lucid enought to understand his words. "My dear... Oh, the things I will do to you... Yes, we will have an absolutely brillian time, you and I... Just you wait and see..." Slowly, he licked her neck from the base of her throat to her chin, paying special attention to the "D" imprinted into her skin. His red eyes glowed luminescently for a brief second when her arm reached out for the half-breed, and a single, crimson tear of blood fell down his cheek. His grip on her limp form tightened, threatening to break her fragile body. However, he remained in that position, forcing her to do the same.

Frank's breathing was heavy, but not labored. He turned to Darian, blood covering his face.

"Your turn." Was all he said, it was followed by a swift boot to Darian's face. Frank still had business to attend to, he had to protect Sariel, noble he may not be, but he'd be her warrior, her protector.

Sariel whimpered in his arms, her body pressed up against his, feeling weak and vulnerable. She pulled away slightly at the feel of his tongue running against her skin, causing a shiver to run up her spine. The dirty blonde haired girl let out a soft gasp as his grip tightened around her, trapping her against him. Her body ached, barely able to breath he was holding her so tightly. It felt as though someone was giving you a long painful bear hug, the kind you have to pull away from because it hurts.

"Frank," She panted,

"Please," She managed to get out, squeezing her eyes shut tight as the half breed moved past her, feeling him nearby but not touching her.

Darian took the kick to the face in stride, easily letting go of the girl, using the momentum of the kick to flip backwards, and landing gracefully on the sand a few feet away. Looking up, there was no sign on his face of being kicked; not even a hair was out of place. However, his left eye was glowing, unlike his right. "My turn... Oh, goodie..." he laughed with an amused smile. "I suppose I can play with you... but it'll be over in a flash." With a devilish smile, he disappeared. He was so fast that not even another vampire could have caught him, let alone the hybrid. "I'm not like the others, you see. I'm older, stronger, faster, more experienced. Not to mention, I am not just any vampire... I am the vampire." With that, he swiftly snapped the boy's legs, shattered his kneecaps, broke his rips, punctured a lung, and dislocated both arms. Lifting the bloodied boys head from the sand where it had fallen by his scruffy hair, Darian kneeled and spoke. "As I said before, you may have your fun with the other two. But, I am different. Remember, I am the hunter and you are my prey. I shall decide when this little game ends, and I don't think that time is now. But, rest easy now." Smiling, he smashed palm of his hand into the boy's throat, causing the hybrid's eyes to bulge before closing as he fell into an unconscious state.

Darian now turned his attention to the girl and walked over to her. Running one chilling finger up her neck and cheek, he cooed, "You, in particular, are mine, human. Do not forget it. However, at this junction in time, I think it best I let you get back to your friends. They'll be worried, no? Don't fret, I'll let you remain awake, unlike that boy. Do say hello to the others for me, won't you?" Just then, an unnaturally cold wind blew across the beach, and just as abruptly as it came, it left. Darian had disappeared, as if carried off by that very wind.
