Midnight Island [Inactive]

Felix watched her calmly, even ask she tensed, he could tell she was catching on that something was off about him, but he didn't seem to mind too much, he could easily over power her if she moved to attack him, but he was in no position to attack first. Or maybe you're just telling yourself that because you're going soft. He growled inwardly at the thought.

"Oh... six I see, I had only seen a couple of you." He mumbled returning his gaze to her, briefly looking down at the gun that lay against her side, but showed no signs of interest so he shifted his gaze back to her, holding her gaze evenly.

"Why am I out so late?" The vampire couldn't help but let a soft laugh roll from his lips,

"Well actually I was just about to go to bed, but I saw you in my window. He gestured to the small hut up in the tree not too far away.

"You probably didn't even notice it did you, and that my dear, is the art of camouflage, pretty good huh?" He mused only pretending to be proud of it, he really could care less for the little house, he only went inside occasionally.

Clara moved her eyes up to see the tree house and then moved her gaze back to Felix. "You don't seem to be the tree house type of guy." She said simply. "But, I must admit. It is good camouflage. Good job." Clara said politely, cracking a small smile. A small sigh escaped her lips. "Well, I should probably get going. I don't want to keep you from going to bed or anything." She said looking into his red eyes from afar in the distance between them.

Felix smirked at her complements, chuckling softly when she said he didn't look like the tree house kind of guy, which was true, he was a tree kind of guy, but not a house kind of guy. But he didn't end up telling her that. He nodded his head slowly as she said she'd better be getting back,

"Okay," He moved towards her placing a gentle hand on the top of her head in a charming manner. Looking down at her pretty blue eyes his lips split into a grin,

"Have a good night Clara," He purred before slipping away he pulled himself easily up into a tree hopping expertly along the branches till he reached the tree where he "lived". He gazed over his shoulder at her once, waving slightly before he disappeared.

Clara looked up to him as he placed a hand on her head. Her cheeks flushed very slightly from embarrassment.

"You too, Felix." Clara responded, slightly emotionless. She watched him slip away into the tree and made a slight wave and walked away. "There is something off about him." She thought to herself. Clara decided she would walk around a bit longer before returning to the cabin. When the cabin was in sight, she just leaned on a tree and looked up to the sky. "This vacation will not be what I thought..." She thought to herself. When she got tired enough, she left the tree and went into the cabin, headed straight to her room, and crashed on the bed.

Sariel blinked her eyes open slowly, her long dark eye lashes fluttering against her cheek, the window that sat across the room hinted it was morning as streams of light shone in from behind the curtain. With a soft moan she rolled over onto her other side, shifting under the soft covers, coming face to face with Frank, her heart skipped a beat, momentarily forgetting she had fallen asleep in his bed, but it only took her a second to relax. She watched him for a little bit before rolling onto her back, looking up at the plain ceiling, hazel eyes narrowed. She hadn't slept too good, after the night events she was desperately trying to recall what had happened between her and the two boys, Felix and Xavier. She exhaled a soft sigh, eyebrows furrowed in thought.

Xavier sat on the beach, his legs out in front of him and crossed at the ankles as he watched the waves go back and forth over the sand. He had wanted to stay in the woods, but didn't want to have to run into a human that would try to kill him. Felix was probably worse though, and the main reason Xavier stayed out of the trees where the older vampire could be hiding. Sure, he knew Felix had good logic and such, but helping the humans the night before, after they injured Felix, was probably enough to make the other vampire very pissed. Or at least slightly, and that would still be bad. 'Why'd I have to bother with them,' Xavier thought, drawing lines in the sand absentmindedly.

Frank inhaled sharply, it was morning. He opened his eyes and saw Sariel looking at him.

"Morning bright-eyes, sleep well?" She seemed deep in thought, it seemed he was the picker-upper on this trip, ironic considering how serious he normally was. Franks smiled, he was glad he had such a pretty fact to wake up to. And he'd be happier when he had that supposed vampire's head on the end of his knife, the others may have forgotten, but he hadn't. He attacked Sariel, that he couldn't forgive.

((Im going to be gone for a few days. I may be on here and there, but probably enough just to read posts. So i'll just make my chara sick so she doesnt have to go anywhere haha))

Clara opened her eyes to see the sun shining through the windows. Although, she felt like crap. She tried to sit up but her head spun. Clara laid back down. "Dammit! Why did i have to get sick?!" She said quietly to herself. "Perhaps im not used to the climate..." she added in. Clara sighed. It looks like she'll have to stay in bed for most to all of the day. Hopefully not a few days. She sunk back into the covers and groaned.

Sariel turned her head at the sound of Franks voice, managing a small smile. Turning on her side her dirty blonde hair framing her pretty face until she ran her fingers through it pushing it back.

"Hey, who are you feeling." She mumbled her voice quiet, careful to not wake anyone up. Pushing the covers off her body she pushed herself into a seated position, and pulled a rubber band off her wrist. Gathering her wavy hair up on her head she wrapped the band around it, securing it there, a few wispy strands falling down against her face. Peering back over at Frank, blinking her hazel brown eyes she touched his forehead, figuring sometimes concussions can give you fevers.

"Do you need water?" She asked but didn't wait for an answer, slipping out of bed and walked into the kitchen rather quickly because the wood floor was cold against her bare feet. Reaching a rug in the kitchen she grabbed a glass and filled it was water for her room mate. She glanced back over her shoulder at his room before padding back to him crawling up onto the bed once more passing him the glass.

Frank accepted the glass and sat up, he was feeling stronger.

"Thanks, and not to bad, a nights rest helped a lot. Takes more than a shovel to put me out for long." Frank rubbed the back of his head. "Still gives me a bit of a headache though."He looked over to Sariel." How about you? That jackass and his buddy did a number on you too." Frank hoped she was alright, no one got away with hurting his friends. "Where is that punk anyway? The others just let him in here, they seemed not to care about what he did." He cracked his knuckles" I plan on at least teaching him a lesson, and a painful one at that." He looked Sariel in the eyes. " If he tries anything else, you tell me, I won't let any more harm befall you." And Frank meant every word.

Sariel fumbled with the corner of her tight fitting tank top sitting criss cross on the bed. She blinked her hazel eyes over at him meeting his gaze evenly. When he joked about the shovel she couldn't help but let a genuine laugh slip from her pale pink lips. She reached up and touched the side of her head where Felix had head butt her.

"Like you, my head is feeling a lot better, but tender to touch." She mumbled dropping her hand to reach out and take his glass, bringing it to her lips and took a slip.

"I still have no idea what happened to me," she muttered, lowering her gaze, the bite mark on her neck exposed and visable with her hair tied up in a pony tail. She straightened up a bit, the corners of her mouth tugged up into a grin,

"Thank you, my noble warrior, my world is a safe place when you are around." She laughed with a smirk.

Frank looked down, that punk hadn't talked,

"Listen, that man, no, beast in the shape of a man. He bit you, and so did his companion. They left those puncture wounds on your neck. They claim to be vampires." Frank sighed. " I tried to stop them, but was incapacitated, I only managed to wound one, but he ran off. Listen, I'm gonna find the guys who did that to you, and make them pay, you have my word." Though he was in beautiful company, his eyes were filled with hatred. He hated those two creatures, he bring back their heads, minus the bodies. Frank went to get up, he almost fell, the room span. He managed to get his legs, and walked to his bag, he grabbed his spare knife." I'm going out." The way he stated it so simply made it seem ominous. He was going out alright, going out for blood.

Sariel sat there after he told her everything, at first she thought... he must be joking, but her heart sank remembering when she saw the bite mark on her neck, instinctively her hand went up to the bite mark, tracing a finger over it, swallowing hard.

"Vampires...?" She mumbled her voice scarcely above a whisper feeling a bit sick to her stomach. As he got up off the bed she reached out, grabbing his wrist.

"I'm..." She trailed off, tipping her head back to look him in the eyes, holding his gaze evenly.

"I'm coming with you." Without waiting for an answer she slipped out of the bed, her feet gently hitting the ground and she walked up to her bag, pulling out a pair of dark jeans she pulled off her pajama pants and pulled the jeans on, then reached for a shirt, taking out a red and black striped crop top, pulling off the tank top, her back turned to Frank as she slipped the t-shirt on. Casting a quick glance over her shoulder at him she walked out of the room,

"Lets go." She mumbled her voice flat with determination.

Frank looked at her, he liked that, she was determined.

"Okay, but follow my lead, I don't want you hurt." Frank walked out the door, he didn't know where those two were, but he knew which direction the one had run in. Frank walked through the forest, it was quite the effort, the concussion made his head pound, the world spin, but he could overcome anything. Frank made it to the beach, he saw Xavier sitting there. "Hey You! I need to have words with you." Frank unsheathed his knife, the words would be few, and the blood great. He planned to kill this man, vampire or not, nothing could live without a head.

Darian watched quietly from the shadows, leaning against a tree casually for support. He hadn't seen nor heard about what transpired the night before, but he had been able to follow the distinct scents of every human and vampire involved, and his hearing had allowed him to piece together the coversations. Such were the senses of a vampire as timeless as he. 'That Felix... so naive for his age. And Xavier... a promising young one with an unfortunate penchant for helping humans. Doesn't he see they will never accept us? It will only bring him pain.' he thought with a bored look, his crimson eyes dull and unfocused on the scene on the beach. However, when he heard Frank's voice, or rather, earlier, when he smelled Frank's scent, he became a bit more intersted. 'Case in point... let us see what happens here...' Darian turned his body to face the beach a little more openly, yet still hidden in the shadows. He wouldn't interfere with the events, unless they seemed dire for Xavier. After all, althought he felt no particular camaraderie with the child, it was his duty to maintain the vampire population, so a needless death simply wouldn't do.

"Hmm?" Xavier looked over his shoulder at the person who was shouting, which turned out to be Frank. And he had a knife. 'Not good,' Xavier thought, and scrambled to his feet. "Ok, I can have a friendly chat. One condition, stay about, um, 100 feet away." Noticing the girl from the night before, and picking up on the rage from Frank, Xavier swallowed. "You didn't come for a friendly chat I assume."

Frank ignored the '100 feet' part and closed in, knife in his clenched fist.

"Of course, a friendly chat. It will be friendly until I reach you, unless you can convince me to stop." Frank let out a sadistic laugh. " First, why did you attack Sariel? Second, who was the one I hit with the knife? Third, is there any reason I shouldn't kill you? Fourth, is there any reason I wouldn't kill you?" Frank's knife was wicked sharp, and gleamed in the sun. He stepped closer with each passing second. Frank's eyes contained so much hatred, they could start a fire with just a glance. And they bored right into Xavier's.

Sariel followed after Frank, her dirty blonde hair pulled up in a ponytail swished against her back, hazel eyes narrowed as she approached Xavier. The small girl couldn't contain a shiver as he stood up. She raised her hand, fingers brushing the bite mark in her neck. Part of her almost regretted rushing out of the house so quickly without bringing any back up, but the other part trusted Frank had this under control. She stopped as Frank did but didn't move forward as eagerly as he did. She simply watched the monster, her gaze conveyed her hatred, confusion, and hurt towards him. She opened her mouth to question the vampire but closed it abruptly as Frank began to speak. Her hands dropped to her side, clenched into fists, pale pink lips pressed into a tight line.

Felix sat up in bed, wincing, he undid his bandages, surprised the wound hadn't fully healed, it was still an open wood, even though it looked better, he had expected better. The Vampire grabbed fresh bandages, binding it around his waste.

Xavier thought fast, taking a few steps back as the humans came closer. He could have taken the boy in a fight without weapons easily, but the knife in Frank's hand was extremely dangerous. "One, I only did it because I needed to," he said, not bothering to explain. "You hit Felix with the knife. You shouldn't kill me because I didn't kill you or the girl, and you wouldn't because..." He thought frantically for a second, searching for some answer that would hold the human off for a few extra seconds. "It'd make you feel bad." Xavier said, unsure and his response coming out in more of a question.

Darian shifted his balance and stood up straight. Deciding to prevent a fight that would be dangerous for both parties, he approached the group on the beach. "My, my. What do we have here. A bold, brash human bravely challenging a young, fledgling vampire. Tell me, human, are you aware of what a vampire's physical capabilities are? If you do indeed know, I would think it would have been prudent to bring more than just that needle in your hand." Now addressing Xavier, he continued, "However, vampires are not immune to death. Especially you, Xavier. Your temperament makes you ill-suited for combat. I hope you are ready for a fight from this one if it comes to that. He won't think twice about slaying you. Can't you see it in his eyes?" He smiled at the two humans and the vampire surrounding him.

"I have a better solution. Let me explain Xavier's predicament. You see, his is a pacifistic vampire. However, the other one, Felix, is... a bit different. It is a natural requirement for vampires to consume human blood, even if our very existence is unnatural. To be quite honest, Xavier's refraining from draining her dry is incredible self-control for one so young as him. She'll recover quite easily with a blood transfusion, which I hear is quite easy with the technology of modern times. Please, would you reconsider making mince meat of my friend here?" asked Darian. His smile stayed in place, and his eyes still twinkled, although whether this was with merriment or threateningly was indiscernable. He was immeasurably faster, stronger, and more experienced than Xavier, and a single human with a machete posed no threat. However, Darian enjoyed the hunt, so such battle would give him no great pleasure. For now, he'd take a peaceful resolution.

Frank thought for a moment about this new man's words. He then quickly closed the distance between his and Xavier. He stuck the tip of his knife into the skin at the base of Xavier's chin, just enough to draw blood. He whispered in Xavier's ear,

"Realise, I could kill you now, and sleep soundly for the rest of my life, but I will not make the call." He called to Sariel. " Come here." He turned back to Xavier. "She will decide your fate, live or die, it is her choice."
