Futuristic Midnight Blue

Solace then stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the man call her missy. To think she used to be a captain and now some stranger thinks he can call her missy. She let it go and then turned on heels and stared the man named Leo. She then bowed and stood up replying, "Be a sin it would. Climb aboard then. But don't you bother me none. Oh and I'd tell your Woven friend there that that man is no Woven, just a mere Bleak." She motions for them to board the famous Star Chaser. The ship itself was vast and impressive. It was quipped with the latest technology yet yielded a beautiful and impeccable old time delicacy. "It is none of my business but how is it you come across a wealthy known Captain, Mr. Kupe?" Solace asked as she fished for the list of duties in her pocket. What else besides dat mere bolier needs a fixing? Arr, where's dat paper? She looked at him waiting for a response. Something was off but then again she wasn't one to judge.

Kaku flapped his wings viciously and flew ahead of Deluros just to be safe. Deluros chuckled to himself turning left so he could head back to his small ship. He hadn't thought much of the weird encounter but he wasn't really bothered by it. Fate itself would decide if he would meet them again. He tipped the front of his hat downward so it would covered the majority of his forehead and eyes. The girl- the Engineer, her words kept replaying in his head. He wasn't particularly scared of the Navy, its just that he would hate to run into them. Especially at a time like this. He made a right and looked upwards. His ship was in his sight.

"The captain promised me an adventure of a lifetime back on my home planet." Leo replied while letting Annabelle know they were boarding the ship. "I'm just making sure he keeps his end of the bargain." Boarding the Five Eight Afrasee with Annabelle and Malice, he remembered the first time he set foot on there. It's been almost a week ever since he left Earth on this ship, only to be almost sold off as a slave for small profit this morning. Not one of his best decisions yet. "I'll be heading to the captain's quarters for our meeting." He told the engineer while heading off to the captain's quarters. He needed time to set up his trap for the captain. They'll never know what hit them soon.

Captain's Quarters? Arr, sometings about now. No one allowed in Captain's Quarters unless Captain's in dere. Speaking of which wouldn't da Captain have told me about dem meeting . . . Suddenly Solace stepped in front of the Human. " We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Who sent you?" She asked her hand slowly reaching behind her back.

"Woah, no need to get hostile." Leo said as he raises both arms up. "Nobody sent me. I came here on personal business that only involves Captain Lotus and me. We have to talk about a payment that needs to be fulfilled by him." He slightly looks behind himself, hoping Annabelle will come to his aid soon. If she managed to chase off a bunch of Wovens blind with a leopard, then certainly she can intimidate or beat this engineer easily. "Now let's do this the easy way or my partner is going to force you out of the way." He said with a confident smirk. "Isn't that right, Annabelle?"

Asking a blind girl to use force? Now Leo was really getting desperate. It was kind of funny. She would do her best to play her part though. Annabelle crossed her arms and stood up straight. Malice stalked up by her feet to help the image. Of course, she didn't expect the rouse to go over too well. The mechanic had a weapon. Neither of them did. Their use of 'force' would lose. "You're a strong willed girl. How would you like the join my crew?" she asked with a grin. She knew it was a safe topic. She didn't rat out the pirate from earlier. She wasn't going to rat them out. "We need a good mechanic like you."

"Crew?" She suddenly glanced at the two. Putting her hands down she smiled and then stepped aside. "Interesting notion. I'll think about it. In the meantime please excuse my suspicion." She then heard a rip above, the wind blew clear through the sail. "'Scuse me." She saluted and grabbed hold of the rope and began to climb up to patch the sail. "Make yourselves at home!" She called down below.

Holy space cows. Leo knew taking Annabelle along with him was a good idea! There was something about her that made her different from all the other inhabitants on this planet. He didn't know what until now. With this blind Woven around, he might actually pull off his plan of stealing the Five Eight Afrasee from that traitorous captain in no time! "Annabelle, that was amazing!" Leo whispered excitingly to her as he led them to the captain's quarters. "I can't believe you got that engineer to let us go without any conflict! Plus, I see you're already trying to assemble a crew for us. I'm beginning to like you even more now."

Opening the unlocked automatic door of the captain's quarters, which slid open slowly when they approached it, they enter a room that matches the same quality of the ship itself. There was a huge round desk in the center with holographic screens floating above it, each displaying information about the ship's systems, finances, news reports, and other miscellaneous articles. The upper part of wall behind it was a clear window that stretched from each side seamlessly without obstructing the view it gave of the outside world. The wall on the right contained lockers full of unknown goodies behind its locked doors, just waiting to be open by its owner. The wall on the left had a few shelves with valuable loot from the captain's past on the left, a red button that opens up a comfy wall bed in the center, and a door that led to a small bathroom on the right.

"Annabelle, mind taking a seat behind the desk?" He asked her before leading her to the desk's leather chair. "Just stay here and talk to whoever comes through that door next. Keep their attention toward you no matter what happens? Okay?" Without waiting for an answer, Leo goes to the shelves and takes a ancient knife of unknown origin off of one of them before hiding within the shadows inside the room. Was this the best thought-out trap ever? Nope, not one bit. Though if he managed to get this far without something horrible happening to him yet, then it's time to believe the plan will work out. Hopefully Annabelle doesn't kill him before she understands the type of situation he got her into just now. Otherwise, he's probably going to die this time by her own hands and Malice's teeth.

"Good, a crew that likes their captain is a lot less likely to commit mutiny." Annabelle said as she followed Leo towards the captain's quarters. Space mutiny. That just sounded awful. The awesome beauty of the ship was lost to her, but judging by the blurred images she could pick up from Malice, had she been able to see she would have loved it. On her way, she did manage to hit the wall by the door. Small doorways. She had to keep that in mind. She allowed Leo to guide her to the seat and sat down, putting her feet on the table. Malice sat down beside her underneath the desk. A surprise, for just in case she needed the extra persuasive skills. "So if we're stealing the ship, why don't we just fly off now? Or is this part more personal?" she asked as she looked towards the buzzing screens, wondering what secrets they held.

Never mind. Annabelle was actually pretty chill with this part of the plan, despite making her bait. Awesome. "Both personal and necessary." Leo replied from the shadows, covering himself in his black cape to blend in more. "First, we need to take his security keycard from him. Without it, we have no control of the Star Chaser due to its highly advanced security systems, which won't allow us to override its entire system to our preferences. Then after that, I might slice his neck open or make him walk the plank after we fly out to space. Either way, it's a win-win situation for us."

"Dere we go. Huh?" Solace saw the Captain approaching. "Hello Captain Lot!" She said loud enough for the others to hear. Now is your chance Leo. "I'm afraid I'm not finished quite yet."

"Get Down Here Girl." She did as she was told and rode the rope with vigor.

"Yes sir?" In a quick moment she was slapped so hard in the face she was on the ground.

"I tell you to finish the repairs before I come back and you laze about. Stupid girl. No muntz for you." Solace held her cheek and tightened her fist. " I don't care that you are the best mechanic around. You'll get no pay from me. Hmph. And to think that you are his daughter." He steps past her and nears his quarters. I hope dat guy has a plan in dere. Solace stood her ground and then headed off to the boiler room below deck. Tis no business of mine.

Leo shuts himself up when he heard the automatic door slide open. He watches Captain Lot enter the room, who takes a few steps inside before stopping halfway toward their desk. What suprised them was the white-haired girl sitting on their custom Nemean leather seat and her feet on top of their Pennantia wood desk, each costing as much as a small Star Chaser in the market. He slowly moves toward the captain's back as quietly as he can while Annabelle distracts them somehow.

Deluros happily leaped onto a higher rooftop to get a better view of the ship. He had brought his sack of money from the ship with him. He laid it down beside him and chuckled while watching. These people are quite interesting. Smart they are yes, but talking will not always solve the problem.

Kaku sqwaked and flew down to the ship, landing himself comfortably on the edge of the ship. Deluros eyed the girl who was named Solace. Looks like she'll betray anyone for a position on a crew. Deluros laughed to himself again. He had found himself a show!

Solace came back up to the ship. Her hands were black from all the work she had done. "Phew. Alright den. Captain, I'm finished. No matter what I'm coming back and collecting me muntz, just you wait." Her cheek was still pink from where the captain slapped her. "Ow. I get no appreciation here." Solace began making her way off when she looked up and saw one of the sails stuck. "Arr, of course. Well being da good engineer I am, I gotta fix dat." She began climbing up to the top of the sail and reached out for the problem trick hook. She reached around for her tool when she heard a boom coming from the captain's quarters. It created an imbalance shift and she lost her footing. She then grabbed hold of part of the post and hung on. "Well if I fall my troubles will be over, but to bad dat won't happen today. I just gotta reach out and grab da-" Then there was other boom and her grip was slipping. "Arr! Dis not be good."

"Hello Lots." Annabelle said as she took her feet off the table and put her elbows on it instead. She rested her chin on her folded hands and smiled, "unfortunately your ship is being commandeered for the greater good. My greater good to be specific." she said softly. There was no point in trying to trick him. He wasn't getting away. "you could make this easier on me by simply handing over the key card to this ship." she said as she held out her hand. She heard a click. Malic jumped out from underneath and lunged at the former captain. Her jaws clamped around his wrist, effectively reaiming the gun in his hand away from Annabelle and at the floor instead by the time he'd pulled the trigger. "You were going to shoot a blind girl? How low." Annabelle laughed. She hoped that that was distracted enough.

Leo jumps onto Captain Lots' back after the first shot was fired from their gun. He smacks the end of the ancient knife's hilt against their head several times to knock him out unconscious. "I'm back!" Leo exclaimed as the captain tries to throw him and Malice off by throwing their body around wildly. Pulling the trigger again, the pistol fires off another round and shoots a locked box from the shelves. After what felt like forever, Captain Lots falls on their knees with blood flowing down his head. Then he goes unconcious, falling face flat onto the floor. "Frak you!" Leo cursed before sitting on top of the unconscious captain. Pulling the keycard out of the captain's pocket, he puts it in Malice's mouth and tells her to give it to Annabelle. "Present the keycard in front of the screens and the ship's systems will scan it. Then say something to it to activate it's A.I." He said as he pokes Captain Lot's head with their pistol. Just a precaution if the captain decides to wake up and start a fight again.

An AI system? Well wasn't that fancy. With an AI system Annabelle might have been able to fly the ship herself. Or at least not go through another person to do it. That was, if the program was as true to its name. If it was Ausrine work though (which it probably was) she shouldn't have expected any trouble. "The shots that were fired, the didn't cause any harm, did they?" She asked as she gestured vaguely out in front of her. If she was going to be captain, she needed her ship to look presentable. She took the key card when Malice trotted up to her and dropped it on the table. Annabelle held it up towards the buzzing sounds in hopes that it was the right place.

"Well Kaku's already down there so I might as well take what I can and leave." Without hesitating, Deluros leaped from the rooftop of the shop and landed on the ship's deck with a big 'crack' sound. He looked down and he had made a small crack in the floorboards. Roughly about the length of his thumb. He shrugged and beckoned for Kaku to follow him as he crept into the ship.

Solace pulled herself up to safety and then heard crack. "Great . . . Now What!?" She looked down to see the pirate guy. "Ahoy down there!" She yelled out to him. She grabbed a rope and swung herself down from the sail towards the man. He looked as though he were sneaking around. She let go and flipped in the air twice before landing on her legs one bent and one fully extended. "Phew. I thought I was a gonner der for a second. Now," She said standing up in front of him. He was tall but she wasn't intimidated, "What ye doing here ye bilge rat." Solace looked delicate and in truth she was, but she was one tough cookie. After all she use to be a well rounded pirate captain. She convinced herself that she was strong enough to take down anyone. Then she saw the crack in the floor. "Ye did not just do dis!" She looked him straight in the eye and stood on her tippy toes. "Now I've got to patch dis crack up. Arr, I outta teach ye a lesson." She then heard the commotion inside the captain's quarters. "What now?"

Delores simply looked at her and continued to walk.

"Bilge rat. That's a new one." He continued to walk casually around the ship, looking for anything worth to steal.

"Hmph. You're rude. That's not at all how fellow Bleaks treat each other." She followed him with her sharp eyes. "Fine den. Have it your way. But ye better get yer britches off dis ship." She ordered stepping in his path. "I do not like being ignored." She crossed her arms and smirked.

"Found out I was a Bleak, huh? Well, I'm not getting off. So the only way for me to get my damned arse out of this ship is if you want to fight me." Delores grinned under his hat. She was quite predictable.

After the human slave had evaded his owners they went searching for a man who could find their property.

The man they were searching for was located in the local brothel. And he wasn't exactly a man per say. He was a half-Falia, half-human bounty hunter. When the woven located the bounty hunter they went up to the room he had rented, finding the hybrid smoking a cigar and talking with one of the girls. Once the potential clients entered the room inquiring about "Draven Ryske," he ushered the girl out and reached for his pistol

"There will be no need for that Mr. Ryske." The leader explained as his companion growled. "We are here to discuss some business. I hear you are the best for this kind of job."

"What kind of job are we talking?" Draven replied as he released the pistol.

"I would like to reclaim my property. More specifically a slave I purchased this morning which my men have lost. I promise his return would pay handsomely." The woven said calmly as he took a seat. "So do we have a deal?"

"What can you tell me about him? Appearance, name, who you purchased him from, where your men lost him..." Draven started. Recovering trafficked humans wasn't his favorite job, but it paid well on the slow days. The woven leader gave all the information he could and watched as Draven dressed and exited the building, headed for the docks.

"Reading keycard." A feminine robotic voice announced through unseen speakers in the room. "Scanning... access granted. Welcome back to the Five Eight Afrasee, Captain Lot. How may I serve you today, sir?"

"Huzzah, it worked." Leo said as he got off of the unconscious captain. "Now we have total control over the ship and its systems. So... what do we do now?" He asked while looking where each bullet went. One seem to be stuck in the floor, while the other hit a rusty strongbox and knocked it off its spot on the shelves. Picking up the strongbox to put it back on the shelf, it opens up before something falls out of it. Snatching the unknown item in time before it hit the ground, he inspects the orb-shaped artifact in his hand. "What is this?"

After wandering around the docks, Draven questioned workers about Captain Lots and where his ship was docked. After thanking each one he made his way to the Five Eight Afrasee. "Damn that's a big ship. No wonder he can afford it if he is trafficking." He said as he marveled at the craft. Once he finished looking at the ship he headed onto the top deck to search for the Captain. "Hello?!" He yelled as he searched for any crew members. "I'm here to see Captain Lots about some business he had earlier."
