Futuristic Mental Apocalypse

Isaac stared at the empty room then looked at Oak's back. With a sigh he looked at the Elevators panel. If this isn't the floor then.. it must be the top floor.. Isaac wrote a small note crumbled it and threw at Oak. (If he turns. Isaac nodded to Oak) and preses the highest button on the panel.

*I'm sorry.. But a distraction is a distraction.. We're meant to play with them..* Isaac watched as the elevator door closed and began moving up again.

Oak read the note as the elevator dinged again and Isaac left. Oak shouted after him, "You... cryogenically frozen peacock!" He turned to Maddy. "Come on, Maddy, just knock him out or something. We need to go save your boyfriend."

Madi glanced up from the man and saw Oak.

"Oh. Hey. Where's Isaac?" Her question answered itself when she heard the elevator doors close.

"Come on, Madi, just knock him out or something. We need to go save your boyfriend," Oak said. Madi shook her head. She turned her attention back to the man beneath her.

"There are so many thing wrong with that statement..." She muttered. "Now listen very carefully. I am going to give you five seconds. You are going to tell me where they've taken our friend, and you're going to give me your uniform after that. Understood?"

The man's eyes widened.

"You wouldn't."

"You'd be surprised what they teach you in prison," Madi growled, not caring how it sounded to Oak. The point was to intimidate the man. And it worked.

After a few seconds, Madi had the man's uniform tucked under her arm and a "7" in mind. She then knocked out the guard with a snort.

"Idiot. The safety was on."

Oak turned to Maddy. "Pris- PRIS- When were you in prison?" He opened the door and started sprinting up the stairs. "I mean, it's none ofm y business, but I feel like there's a detail here you're not mentioning, the whole jail business. It's a tiny bit of a concern."

Oak stood at the door going into the seventh floor. He knelt by it, readying his pipe again. God, they had better be there this time.

Isaac paced around the elevator when it finally stopped. He looked at the number. 12? Pretty big building. Isaac stood with the blades ready as the elevator doors opened. Nobody was there. He walked out to the hallway. A door infront of him. And what looked like the stairs down to the left. The right was a dead end or a corner..

But all that mattered right now is, that it was eerily silent. Isaac closed the distence between himself and the door, putting his ear to it trying to hear if there were someone inside. Natalie would be screaming or something. Unless they had sedated her that is.

Voices.. A think heavy voice and some rather normal sounding ones..

Isaac stood back and then kicked the door open.

"My dad was a corrections officer and I went with him into the jail. I wasn't an inmate, but I made many friends who were. Hence how I know how to do all of this," Madi explained as she ran with him. Madi watched Oak crouch outside of the door and held up a hand. "Wait."

Madi crouched down and held up the man's ID tag beside his face.

"Practically identical. Perfect. Put on the uniform to blend in. We'll pretend you're taking me int as a prisoner or something," Madi said, handing over the clothes. She turned her back. "Change quickly. I swear I'm not looking."

"Oi, who's that?" "How the **** shou- Oh crap, his armed and he isn't one of us. Jackson. call the others! " "Yeah yeah, who named you boss? Scrap it I'll call them" "Bakk, try and leave him alive. I'm sure the girl could use some company!" Isaac watched the three talking before one of them runs into another room. He saw the burly man picking up a sledgehammer while the one commandeering them had brass knuckles on him. He heard a small ringing noise. Apparently this place was also important enough to have an alarm.. Who were these people?

Isaac threw the thought away..It was time to shed blood. He slowly walked into the room where the burly one charged.
"I'm going to smack your teeth out!" Isaac deftly dodged the sledgehammer. Slow but strong didn't win against precision and finesse. Without a second thought to it Isaac cut the man down spraying blood over the floor as he collapsed. "Holy **** Jackson! You do-" Isaac had stabbed the man before he could react. There were no time to fight with honour of any kind. Pychos don't wait in turn to eat someone.. Well Isaac thought for a moment. They might wait in turn. He turned to the closed door before hearing footsteps behind him. The cavelry had arrived.. But not Isaac's. He turned around flinging some of the blood away and readying himself. Hopefully this worked as a distraction.

Madi's ears instantly picked up the sound of an alarm and she swore, loudly.

"Isaac!" She groaned in annoyance. She threw the clothes at Oak. "Find Amy. I'll find Isaac and hopefully I can smack some sense into him before he's shot."

Madi quickly took off up the stairs and slammed open the door to the 12th floor, as that was where the alarm was loudest. Madi saw Isaac covered in blood splatters, wielding his hooked swords. She also saw back up arrive, and not for them. Madi ran over to Isaac and rolled her eyes.

"Whatever you did, you're an idiot. Cute blood splatters by the way, it really brings out your eyes," Madi drawled sarcastically, raising her gun. She spotted two dead bodies on the ground. Madi smirked sadistically ... Maybe she should be in jail...

She grabbed the brass knuckles off one of the dead men and slipped them on.

"After you, Isaac."

Oak donned his uniform and opened the door with his revolver, when he heard an alarm buzzing. There was a metal door that looked locked. Electrical circuits were wired all over it. Oak gingerly crept towards the door.

Suddenly, the door slammed open and Oak flinched. Guards poured out and started marching up the stairs or taking the elevator. One of the elevator ones looked at Oak and scoffed. "Don't you hear the alarm? Come on, let's move."

"Uh... sorry... room... duty..."

The guard scoffed, "Newbie. Come on, come with us."

Five of them were waiting for the lift. All of their backs were turned except for that one. Oak sighed and thought to himself, I can take 'em.

"Hey, newbie," the guard shouted, "Since when did we shoot revolvers?"

Oak shrugged. "I'm not gonna shoot it."

He smacked #1 in the face with the revolver, pulled out the pipe from behind him and #2 in the face. Oak heard a crunch, and decided #2 was out of the game.

"I'm outta ammo."

By the time the other three realized what was going on, Oak had already pulled out the knife and sliced #3's throat and crunched #4's privates. #1 came out from behind and put Oak in a choke hold, and #5 was about the butt his gun into Oak. Oak managed to kick off, leaning on #1, and kicking #5. Oak then used his knife to stab into #1's wrist, then piped #5 in the face. Oak then smashed #1 for good measure.

In the middle of the bloodbath, Oak sniffed quietly.

"I am bad*ss."

Oak rushed into the room. Amy was tied up onto a table, surrounded by a group of scientists. Oak gulped. Too many for Oak to fight by himself.

"Not quite that bad*ss."

Isaac was surprised to see Maddy, did she.. Run all the way up to get him? What about Natalie?! DID SHE LEAVE OAK TO TAKE CARE OF THAT?! Isaac was.. astounded.. He shook his head before noticing the main thing.. While these people didn't turn. They didn't secure a lot of weaponry, most of what they have are for close combat, with the occasional brick. He sighed before moving towards a group of them, One of the few things with dual hooked blades were that they 'hook' Making it into a sort of mid-ranged whip, only sharper. And that was precisely what Isaac did, It was a massacre, Isaac continued like a animal that were cornered. He stopped and looked around him, Was it wrong? Isaac thought.. We are not killing infected anymore.. We are actually killing other people.. Isaac stared at the corpses when suddenly the man that had started the alarm breached through the door, and fired a pistol.

*Funny feeling..* Isaac thought as he felt something on hitting his chest. *I feel it.. The poking.. The touch.. But I don't feel the pain.* Isaac looked down luckily that guy wasn't a marksman. *Mido should look on this.. I believe.. Hmh.. Funny feeling.* Isaac slowly walked foward stopping only by the entrance he came from.

"What the ****? He didn't flinch?!" The man dropped his pistol and took out a tire iron he turned and noticed Maddy "Who the **** are you?"

Madi remembered the knife in her pocket from picking the lock and whipped it out. She took out the people that Isaac missed, an ultimately they both were soaked in blood. Madi sadistically relished in the warmth of the red life, a crooked grin on her face. She heard a bang and looked to see Isaac's white shirt beginning to turn red. For some reason, instead of horrifying her, it only pissed her off.

Madi turned to the man who had fired.

"Who the **** are you?!" He yelled. Madi growled and lunged at him. He swung the tire arm at her but she ducked his sloppy attack and lashed out with her knife. The blade dragged across his eyes, blinding him. He screamed and Madi pinned him to the wall.

"I am a very pissed off inmate. And guess who's my prison b****? It's your lucky day."

There was a gunshot from way above, but it was clearly audible. Hollywood Lie #5: Gunshots are loud and more distracting than you think.

When all the scientists were looking away, Oak dived out from the doorway and picked up one of the very large guns of the guards. After some alarming bullets flew through the doorway, Oak thanked God that the walls were impenetrable by bullets. He looked through the doorway and shot at the guards for a bit. Hollywood Lies #6 and #7: Guns are hard to fire unless you are experienced and/or very up close. Also, the experienced have surprisingly good aim.

Oak felt a few bullets graze his arm, and he flew back from the doorway in pain and fear. "FLOPPING MOTHBALLS!" Oak cried.

Oak chuckled again, but this wasn't the right time. Oak couldn't joke anymore. And plus, his only audience members were trying to shoo him off the stage. The stage being Oak's life. Hey, like that one speech in Macbeth-

Focus. Solemnly, he muttered to himself, "F*ck it." Weeping, he roared as the gun in his hand rattled painfully, Oak's ear protesting against the noise, cheekbones about to shatter in surrender.

And not a single shot landed.

Oak leaned against the wall again as the enemy bullets flew past him. He angrily emphasized on Hollywood Lie #6.

Amy lay strapped to the table, blinded by the lights, unable to move. Despite the straps, they had decided to paralyze her too.

Her eyes shifted left to right, glancing around the room. The scientists were taking notes while someone else was fiddling with a large plastic bag that was connected to her wrist by a small, hollow tube, and a needle.

She closed her eyes as veins suddenly grew cold, and the scientists hurriedly took notes, scrutinizing her every reaction.

And despite it all, she screamed bloody murder as electricity pulsed through her body. One of the scientists quickly stopped it, and. Amy lay on the table, smoke curling up from her hair, her heart beating unevenly.

Madi froze as gunshots rang through the air. Blood curdling screams followed after, ones that came from Amy. Madi dropped the man for Isaac to take care of and took off running. She took the stairs instead of the elevator, knowing she be faster with her adrenaline kick.

Upon reaching the 7th floor, Madi spotted a few men firing at Oak.

Madi crept behind them and lunged. She leapt onto the back of one of them and slit his neck, grabbing his gun. Back in her element, Madi shot the other two before they could react. Madi tossed her hair from her eyes and walked past Oak calmly, holding the gun she had stolen at the ready.

She then turned around and ran back to Isaac as she realize that she had left him alone with a Psycho, and he had taken a bullet to the chest.

"Please.. D..Don't kill ME!" He kept looking at the crazy woman and the weird guy standing and bleeding. "You two are Insane.. You two are F****** INSANE! Just don't, don't kill me I'm just doing the bosses order! He is the one behind all of this.."

Isaac watched as Maddy went bananas on the revovler guy.. *note to self. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.. And no other woman hath fury like Maddy..* Isaac felt a bit numb.. He felt to his knees.. *Well.... Is this what Catatonia is like? Funny.. Mido you silly arsehat.*

Isaac slowly tried to stand up again only to fall to his knees again. *I think if I could feel it.. It would be like Maddy getting cauterized..* *That is a lot of blood.. I wonder what type I am? 0- would be really bad.. While a generous since they give it out to all.. o- could only get from others.. Right now.. I might want to be AB+....Huh..*

"Hey.. HEY Look! Your friend is collapsing... Just leave me alone.. Hhe.. He'll need help right?" Sweat droplets fell from him. Suddenly. More gunshots were heard. As Maddy let go of him he looked confusingly after her. "She'll pay... For my EYE... SHE WIL-.. No.. You will pay....Hehe..Nobody is sane.. We are all insane.. Some are just better at hiding it... Eheh.. Eye for an eye.. Isn't it what they are saying...?"

(Guys, so that nobody tries anything, I'd like to make it very clear that only someone on the inside of the room Amy is in will be able to open that door.)

Maddy ran to Oak, and then promptly ran off again.

"You have got to be kidding me," Oak murmured. He shot randomly, spraying in the general direction of the baddies without even looking through the doorway. He heard someone scream.

"You have got to be f*cking kidding me!"

Oak peeked in and ducked out quickly. Everyone was still standing. So who had screamed? ...not Amy?

"Oy! I need reinforcements!" Oak shouted in the general direction of the stairs.

(This is not for the faint of hearted. I have warned you thrice now. Another personal hobby of mine is writing like Illusive. Although I've taken a fancy on the horror aspect. )

You little bitch.. Did you momma leave you? Oh no... You're mute.. Arent you?.. Well.. No screaming for momma.. I'll make you smile.." The thug grabbed Isaac and threw him at the wall, Isaac landed with a thud *..I feel sick...* Isaac franticly looked around, Maddy was gone..

Suddenly the man grabbed Isaacs head.

"Too bad.. I cannot make you SQUEAL, Your little girl toy derserved it.. But she ran.. Little hag.. I'll just use you.."

The thug slowly inserted the knife into Isaac's left eye *Is this where.. I die?... I cannot feel myself... Mom...?...Why are you burning.....Mom?.* The thug twisted the knife.. Again... And again... He soon after slithered the knife downwards cutting Isaac from the eye to his chin "You aren't feeling it?.. SCREAM! SCREAM!.. What are you? a machine?! A little doll to be toyed with?.. Yes.. Yes that is what you are.. You can't scream.. But you know you will die.. I will carve you out.. Throw you limb body... She will see the mistakes of Letting Jackson the flayer live.. Yes.. Flayer it sounds good.." He jabbed the knife into Isaacs eye again ripping the eye off *..It..Tingles... Why.. Why can't I feel the pain....Help.... Father.. Don't ..don't....NO..NO NO NO* Isaac desperately punched the thug in the face.. scrambling himself over to a brick. "Fuck my nose.. Argh.. You .. I'll K-" With a loud skull cracking sound the brick hit the thug in the head. Isaac slowly stood over him holding the brick again.. He knelt down and began smashing the brick against the thug *...Why..Why..Why..Why...Why...Why..Me?*

Finally stopping, nothing could be recognized of the Thug.. It was just... blood and mass..

Isaac crawled over to the far side of the room and sat in a fetal position His hands over his face.. tears and blood streaming from them *Mother... Mother... Why did father set fire to the house?.. Mother...Mother...I hear sirens.... Mother.. Why are you not moving...Mommy?"

What Madi returned to was pure horror. She wasn't afraid of the dead men, but Isaac.

"Isaac. Oh my god, Isaac," Madi gasped, rushing over and kneeling in front of him. His left eye was a gorish mess and there was a large gash running from his eye to his jaw. He was silently crying, a mess of tears and blood. Madi felt her own eyes welling with tears and she couldn't help as tears escaped. She tentatively reached out and touched his face. "Isaac I'm so sorry, this is my fault, I should've killed him. I should've killed him. I am so so sorry."

Isaac looked up holding one hand at the..bloodied part of his face with his other he reaches around Maddy hugging her tightly sobbing. *Mommy?.. Maddy?.. Don't leave me.. Please..* Isaac was shattered within. His mind raced back to thought he hoped long gone.. And wished gone to. He looked at Maddy again. his expression of pure fear, desperation. He was scared.. For a first time since the outbreak.. Isaac broke.. He couldn't keep it in anymore.. He couldn't let others lean against him this moment...*Don't leave me...*

Amy took a huge gulp of breath, and found that she could talk.

"Wha-" she began to ask weakly, but just then a scientist hit a button that sent her screaming, louder than her last time.

She took a shuddering breath, and closed her eyes. Her heart (literally) skipped a beat, and she relaxed her muscles, knowing that her friends would find her...

Almost like he was reading her mind, the scientist that had the blonde hair stepped forward and leaned over her smoking form. "Your friends aren't coming for you. You haven't heard any gunshots, yelling, screaming, have you?"

He shook his head, handily 'forgetting' to mention that the room was soundproof, but only from the inside. In fact, he was slightly worried about them coming to get her, but there was no way he was going to mention that.

A sudden tingling feeling began in her left foot, almost like the circulation was cut off in her foot. Oh. That's because it was.

But a spark of hope suddenly burst in her head when she was able to wiggle her toe. And her fingers. But ow. Seriously. Aaaaaaaaand nope. The scientist stuck a syringe in her arm, and pushed it in. Ooooh. This was a higher dosage.

Oh seriously?!? She had her ****ing eyelids closed, and now couldn't move them!

Her body pulsed as electricity arced between her fingers, but now she couldn't move. Or scream. Darn. But she felt like it! Holy crap she felt like it! Hmm, maybe some of Oak's creative insults would be useful right now... Oh right. Can't- OOOOOOW!!!

Madi smiled meekly and held Isaac's hand tightly. His expression was pure fear and desperation; desperation for her not to leave. Madi nodded slowly.

"I'm not leaving you, Isaac," She said firmly, she pulled him back into a hug, rocking him slightly. "I'm not leaving you."

Madi dully noted that there was screaming coming from 5 floors down, but she mistook it with her own internal screaming. This whole experience reminded her too much of a situation she had been in years ago. Only then was she the broken one and she was sobbing to her father. Thinking about that made her hurt even more and she held Isaac tighter.

Stop cuddling and move, he's bleeding out! The logical part of her brain screamed at her.

"I'm not leaving you, it's okay. Shhh, I'm here. Mido will find us and he'll fix you up, and then we'll find somewhere safe, okay? I'm not leaving you," Madi whispered softly, running her fingers through his bloody hair.

Isaac breathed slowly. His heartbeat returned.. Maddy's voice was soothing.. Like an angel's whisper..It was dreamy.. Tranquil...

His eye shoot open as he heard Natalie's scream. *No..No..* Isaac with all his might stood up, bloody, beaten, battered. Scarred. He limped towards the door but not before picking up the revovler that the thug used on him. Isaac checked it 5 bullets.. His face was blank, expressionless, cold.. He continued to limp to the elevator. and pushed the button to floor 7 (Up to Kraken if Maddy follows.) Dripping blood, unbalenced movement. He walked past Oak. Towards where the scream was heard. His grip around the revovler thightens.. Isaac was seeing bloody red.

(Okay, inserting the traditional NO POSTING sign here! Let the others post first!)

Madi was shocked when Isaac untangled himself and got up, limping towards the elevator and leaving a smear of red behind him. Madi grabbed her knife and followed.

"Isaac, wait. You need to get medical help. You'll die," Madi said, her voice catching. She couldn't afford to think like that. Isaac didn't seem to hear her and walked past her, past Oak and towards the door that his Amy within its depths.

Madi huffed and jogged after him, blocking his path.

"Isaac, please, think. Let me handle this, I'm not injured. You are. Let Mido heal you. And then I'll be back, okay?" Madi said slowly, placing a hand on his chest. "You have to stay here."
