In marvel universe 323 history was made very different by two figures never emerging. Professor Charles Xavier and Eric Lensher the mutant leader magneto. Due to the lack of guidance and safe haven mutants only had one option to defend themselves. The idea spread like wild fire when a mutant calling himself nitro blew himself up on national television shouting "YOU WANT A REASON TO BE AFRAID?!?" Indeed he had given them one, the explosion leveled 20 city blocks in manhatten. The death toll was counted up to 400,000...
Left and right mutants began to rise up fighting back against the angry mobs, the corrupt police, and crooked politicians. This caused the president to declare a state of emergency, he declared war against mutant kind. It is rumored that this declaration spurred the rise of several different divisions of "mutant rebels". What started in america has spread to the entire world, millions have perished in this 5 year conflict and with no other recourse the Avengers have been called into the battle along with nearly every other superhero, every branch of the worlds governments, and every nations military forces.
With the sides now at their strongest many feel the world will be ending very soon. Yet many others view this as an opportunity to upheave the oppressive governments and set up a mutant friendly society where everyone is equal. But the question is which side will win?
(Heya guys n gals. Ever wonder what would happen if all the mutants in marvel were just like "nope im done with this crap." and then started kicking some tail? Well wonder no more. This is the story where that exact thing happens. You are free to make any mutant you want OC or canon. The Avengers are restricted to canon versions but any canon version is applicable. Same for stand alone heroes like spiderman, daredevil ,punisher , etc. However that said everyone is welcome to put their own twists on the canon to make it more your own. Just be sure to let me know who you are gonna make before hand as several heroes are off limits due to their level of power. Hope you have fun
