I like the idea that he switches bodies, but I have to wonder if it needs the roundabout explanation with ectoplasm? Why not just say...his power is to possess people? Maybe he just switches consciousnesses, so he leaves the other person to contend with a dying body? Maybe it's the result of a psychic connection?

Yup! I'll edit out the ectoplasm release and fiddle with it to switching consciousnesses when I get the chance to later today. Would you like me to keep or swap out the limited healing ability?
