Malin is a rather unique character that has devoted his entire life to black smithing. Like his mother, his father died when he was only 7 years old, however he was shown the ropes years in advance, never quite able to lift or use any of the tools, until he hit ten years old.




At ten he was now able to use everything he had learned and make his first sword. It was as an absolute failure. But since then he has improved exponentially and charishes any advice and tips given to him.

: Energy Manipulation


Dante was born with the natural ability to absorb the energy of anything he touches and then bend that energy to his will. However, he cannot keep excess amounts of energy contained, and excess energy will dissipate over time if not used. For this reason, he needs to keep a steady influx of outside energy in case he ever needs to use it for combat, or he will be forced to resort to using his own energy.


He is able to absorb energy through skin contact. If his skin is covered, it cannot absorb energy, hence why he keeps most of his body covered save for his fingertips. The bigger area of his skin that touches the object, the faster energy absorbtion happens. By using only his fingertips, he can take just a little energy from each person he comes into contact with, such that they wouldn't even realize it was taken unless he intends to absorb more.


In most cases, he uses the stored energy as pulses he sends through the victim via punches, or by channeling it through his blade he can create energy waves. In most cases, he releases the energy in such a way that it isn't even recognizable as magic. After all, only a fool would attract the attention of the Peaceguard without cause.

Dante is, at heart, a peaceful man who views his 'gift' more as a curse. After all, to date he has found no adequate way to control the absorption aspect short of covering his own skin. He is a reluctant warrior, fighting only when no alternative presents itself. All he truly desires is peace, but with Mages being hunted and slaughtered, he has come to realize the only way he will find peace is to either change the nation, or die. Given he is not fond of the latter option, the former is the path he now walks.


In general, he comes off as a pleasant man, prone to jokes, mild shenanigans, and the like, but when the time calls for it he can become a serious man not to be underestimated.

Dante de la Cruz never knew his parents. They were murdered when he was still an infant by the Peaceguard because of their talents, while he was hidden with a non-mage family friend. This individual raised him for his childhood, up until Dante demonstrated a talent for magic like his parents before him.


When that time came, he was sent to the far mountains to train under a mage that had managed to evade the Peaceguard for decades in her mountain home. Dante spent his teen years into early adulthood under the watchful gaze of this Sensei. He learned much about his magic, and how to use it, but controlling the absorption was something he struggled with. No matter what he tried, he could not turn off the absorption while there was skin contact. His Sensei was the one who first dressed him to cover his body for the protection of others.


At age 21, his sensei informed him that the limit of his training had been reached. The woman was a skilled wizard, but her ability was illusions, not energy manipulation. She had taught him all that she could, the rest, he'd have to either discover on his own, or find someone skilled in Energy Manipulation like his parents in order to learn more. With that thought in mind, he ventured out from what had been his home for much of his life to see the world and what he could do to change it. By now, he had learned of his parents' fate, and the fate of many mages like them. For this reason, he wants to change the nation for the better. Not to return it to the old ways, but to bring it to a new future of peace...


No one should live in fear because of their birthright.

Her favorite weapon is her Drackon Blade, her mother had it specially made by a Mage when she found out that her daughter possessed magic. She can use her magic through it, its made of Vibranium and can transform into a ring for easier transportation. When she is not holding it, the sword is unable to be picked up by anyone but herself. Raven is dangerous. Not because she is a Mage or an Assassin, its because of the hatred she holds. The hatred for the king, the hatred for the peace guards, the hatred that she was responsible for her mothers death. She is reckless and fearless to a point where some would call her insane. She is very very sarcastic and has much more emotional depth than she cares to show.

Raven was born with two, non Mage parents. Her powers began to show up at the Mage maturity age of 12. The second time they did, was when she was at school and someone started picking on her, the girls goons held her off of a steep cliff by her ankles because Raven refused to do what they told her to. Enraged, Raven felt something pulse through her and she heard the girls screaming,


"I CANT SEE!" One of them screamed, dropping Raven and sending her spiraling downwards. She remembered from class that if you tense up you would break easily from a fall, but if you relax, your muscles would absorb the blow. So she relaxed all of her muscles and waited for the impact.


The last thing she remembered from that day were the dark wispy people that were talking all around her.



Her mothers Death


The days following were the worst days of her life. It seemed the girls bullying her went blind. Her mother knew instantly that Raven did it. Her first encounter with her daughters abilities was when she walked in her room to see dark wispy people leaning over her daughters bed and whispering. They dissipated when they saw Aliza (Her mother).


The news soon spread about the blind girls. One, in her panic had stumbled off of the cliff and plummeted next to Raven. So why did Raven survive and the other die?


Magic.


People were outraged, and Raven was nearly killed because of her magic, until her mother stepped up and told everyone that it was her. That she knew what was going on and wanted revenge.


Her mother was burned at the stake and Raven saw the flames climb higher and higher until all she could see, was red.


-Three years Later-


Raven trained herself how to control her powers, she began to decide on how she was going to kill them. The Peaceguard. The

King.


So she became an Assassin.


It started out with small requests, "he killed all of my crops.


"He is my bastard son, kill him. I cannot have a bastard running around here."


Then the requests, along with the people requesting got bigger and bigger until she had her chance.



Meet me under the bridge in the town square. I have an offer to make you.


It ended up being the Kings hand, he wanted to hire her as an Assassin for the Kingdom. At first, Raven was unsure. But then she realized that this was her chance to get closer to the King, maybe, even inside of the castle.

: A Bo Staff that is made of a special, enchanted wood that is hard as steel, but still feels like it's made of wood.



Ability

: Remi's power is a unique one: he can change others' magical abilities into different ones that are in equal strength to the person's original one. He can also bestow powers onto people that don't have any.

However,

he has not learned this, and anyway it is extremely wearing on him; and will most likely make him faint because of the effort it takes. Remi can also take away people's abilities. This is the hardest technique he can possibly do, and to do so takes extreme focus and experience.


He can also choose to switch the powers or remove them temporarily. These are way easier to cast. When bestowing a power temporarily, when the duration is at an end, the wielder gets their original power back instantly. When removed temporarily, it is the same situation.


Remi is very inexperienced with his powers. He only knows how to remove and grant powers temporarily. (Will add more as he learns more)

Remi is a very neutral person. In the midst of the Peaceguard hunting the remaining Mages down, he has been a casual observer. He is often silent and humble, saying very little but listening a great amount. However, when he is spoken to, he won't hesitate to make conversation and show that he is actually a genuinely nice person.


He is also very smart. He's medically identified as a 'genius,' and his IQ has been measured to be 190, one comparable to Albert Einstein's. Despite this, he still seems like a regular person, and his looks doesn't show his wisdom.

Remi was born to a poor family. His mother died while birthing him, and his father was a drunk. He was abandoned at birth, going from one foster home to another. Eventually, once he was 8, he was kicked out, living in the streets. However, this is also when he found out he could use magic. He used his natural power to give himself different abilities, not manipulations or anything that people can observe. Mostly it was the ability to be silent, so he can steal. That is how he lived until he was 16: a Thief.


When he turned 16, however, he realized he had a responsibility. He had to stay out of sight; he had to stop making himself a target. At the same time he had this epiphany, a lonely monk saw him on the street. The monk gave him a loaf of bread, and they got to chat. At the end of it, they found that they were both very similar. The monk took Remi as his adopted son. He taught Remi how to be calm and collected, and how to defend himself. A few years went by, and the monk was like a father to him. Then, Remi showed him that he could use magic. The monk wasn't surprised, but simply told him he should stay out of sight. He gave him money, his Bo Staff, and food, and sent him away. However, the monk was not angry, or scared, or anything the sorts. He was simply glad that he taught the right person the right skills so he can live.


Remi, on his 20th birthday, the day he was sent away, took away his own power for as much time as possible. Every day, he had to remove his ability to use magic, or else the Peaceguard will notice. So he got a job as a baker, and lived a normal life as a poor-mid class citizen. To this very day, he works a humble life as a baker, running his own Bakery/Cafe, and often stops by his godfather, the monk (who's name is Payan) to have a chat and some tea.

Though his mouth is visible through the mask, he doesn't have a wide range of moment of his jaw, meaning he would be forced to take it off if he wanted to open his mouth.

Read, Absorption, Transfer


• Uriellys is able to look into a person's memories, read them, and absorb (or for better words, steal) them. How Urie absorbs memories is through mouth proximity. Similar to a Death Eater, he must be close enough to the other person's mouth to inhale their essence (breath).


• From there, his consciousness can enter into their memories, giving him the ability to see, and even with enough concentration, interact with the memory. While this happens, the person having their memories read will freeze in place, as if in a trance. They will be able to briefly see which memories Urie is sorting through.


• There is a possibility he could alter memories by inserting himself into the memory. This, however, takes a great amount of effort and physical strain on Urie's body.


• Once Urie is able to read someone's memories, he has the ability to take it if the person is not able to fend him off in their mind. If he takes the memory, the person will instantly forget that memory and a portion of what had just happened (they won't remember Urie taking it). The memory is then stored in Urie's own mind--which could be potentially dangerous if he adopts the memory as his own.


• Urie is able to transfer memories from one person to another by using himself as a mediator. By absorbing the memory from one person, he could repeat the steps, except instead of inhaling, he exhales, giving the second person his breath. In doing so, he transfers the memory to the next person. Depending on whether Urie had adopted the memory as his own or not will dictate how the second person may perceive the memory. This is a common way Urie communicates with others due to his lack of speech and faulty long-term memory.


• Memories can be very harmful to both Urie and the person he is taking them from/giving them to. Taking memories may cause high confusion and irrational anger. Giving memories could easily overstimulate a person's mind, forcing negative effects to their mental health. Urie is effected in the same way. If he does adopt the memory as his own, he then has no way to distinguish what is true and what is false.

Uriellys may as well be an anomaly in himself. With the inability to speak very well (weak vocal chords), he has resorted to pantomiming, allowing himself to be expressive in ways words cannot describe accurately. His motions in regards to explaining his emotions may be overdramacized or muddled down depending on how he is feeling. This also leads into people viewing him as childish. His small stature doesn’t tend to help either. Urie enjoys simple things, including drawing and writing lists, which may seem childish in itself. He also has a fascination with people and may try to imitate them before his amusement shoots elsewhere. He is quick to please, but also quick to bore. Like the true wanderer he is, Urie moves from one topic to another, one emotion to another. He doesn’t stay angry for long (mainly because he forgets why he’s angry in the first place), and tends to forgive easily. His curiosity has led him into many troublesome situation, but somehow, even with little memory of his own and the inability to speak properly, he has managed to escape alive. Maybe not relatively well, but alive to say the least.

Where Uriellys came from, who he knew, and how he came to be here has all been lost along with his long term memory. Years up until recent has been washed away, just like every other memory that had come and gone within the last five years. There seems to be no way to retrieve his memories like one would be able to when dealing with an amnesiac. Due to the nature of Urie’s ability, it is to be assumed something had gone wrong and he managed to wipe his own long-term memory, only leaving his short term, which refreshes every couple days.


Within the recent months, Urie has been found wandering about, though somehow has managed to slip passed the Peaceguard with relative ease. Alone, Uriellys has found it extremely difficult to remain unharmed, considering his inability to feel pain and temperatures. Not too long ago, he was found with a few urchins, being nursed back to health after he unexpectedly grabbed a hot iron. Now his hands fully healed, Urie has felt the need to wander once again.

Tale is one of those eccentric genius types, with a penchant for science - chemistry in particular. He has an unfortunate habit of talking incessantly, and is quite incapable of moderating his thoughts. He's pleasant enough despite his lack of social grace, common sense, or a fully functioning moral compass.

Tale was born too small and weak and was hardly expected to survive at all. But he did, although he never grew into the normal, well-adjusted child his parents hoped for. He began to read when he was only one year old, yet didn't speak a word until he turned three.


Tale had a difficult time in school- not because of his intelligence, but lack of social skills. He was pushed through grades quickly and never learned how to form bonds with other people. Soon, he was invited to enroll at the prestigious Greenscape University in Highmere. Unfortunately, he had a hard time emotionally connecting to the other students here as well, considering that he was eleven years old. He spent several years teaching at the same university when the Supreme Commander approached him about joining the Peaceguard. He was twenty years old.


A job offer from the Supreme Commander is not something that one turns down lightly. But this offer was a little different. Tale was not to be among the field ranks, but was given a special assignment, a top secret project that would conume three years of his life. The finished project: a drug that, when injected, would supress all magical ability. And so, Tale threw his all into a project that would irreversibly change the fate of the country, a feat he has not been able to match since.

Canary as she's commonly called is a short woman with medium length blonde hair and dark skin. Most outstanding about her apple red eyes that always seem to gleam with carefree emotion. Next most outstanding trait is her bright smile framed by her usually pink glossed lips. She doesn't wear much makeup but is a woman of her time nonetheless and keeps the essentials on hand, being lipstick and eyeliner. She doesn't like the powders women use or the shadows. She likes to stick to her simple beeswax lipstick and charcoal liner. She has a slim figure with wide hips and a small chest and waist. Overall the Canary bird looks young for her age, seeming more like a child than an adult.

A: "Well, geez you don't pull no punches huh mister? Tis transformative."


Q: "I see. Madam, how does it work? I can't quite understand."


A: "Well transformative magic changes the things around you right? For animal shifters it changes their bodies. For others it could change...say a car into a piece of non-working metal? I don't know. Anyway, its the same concept except you gotta stop thinking about gravity as something physical. It's there, and its a force and its all around us. Just like the natural world around us. So all I did was take that force and shift its direction. So technically speaking, I suppose I just fall everywhere."


Q: "That sounds fun. I might vomit, excuse my rudeness. So, I suppose you can fly?"


A: "No sir. I don't think so. As I said, I just fall. If I fell far enough that way," She points up towards the sky. "-wouldn't I die? I'd become a star or something. So I can't fly, I gotta come down eventually. Now I can hover or shift gravity and go horizontally anywhere which way but.. to get back to your question.. Its not flying so much as move from point A to B. "


Q: "What are some other implications of this magic?"


A: I can stand on vertical surfaces. Hover. Uh, and get away really quick. Oh and I can move objects if I touch them."


Q: "You sound invincible there...no weakness at all?"


A: She laughs. "I definitely do have some. I can't shift for more than two minutes really. Its really taxing on the endurance to just be thrown around everywhere. So I can only move in short bursts and I gotta rest between shifts. Plus it takes lots of balance and focus not to shift in the wrong direction or like fall too hard and hit the ground. I'm still really squishy. As you can see, I don't wear much in terms of armor. I still get hurt everyday. My ankles have taken a beating. OH! And that time limit also applies to standing vertically or upside down on surfaces etc."


Q: "So you can lift cars and stuff from the ground?"


A: You don't listen huh? I said I have to touch them. So say a bad mage threw someone in the air..I could potentially help them if they were falling but I'd have to touch them and essentially bring them into my field. I can't do anything from afar. That's not the kind of power I have."


Q: "And to clarify, I learned some thing about you. You don't use a weapon. However from what I understand you couldn't fight anyone effectively with your power without perhaps touching them which would be dangerous. Or What if you couldn't shift and was stuck?"


A: "Look here, I'm a courier. I just deliver messages. Why would someone want to hurt me? Why would they want to hurt any normal human? I mean I get the runaway mages but someone like me?" She smirks. "I'm a nobody. Plus, I didn't learn how to use a weapon. Nobody taught me how to wave a sword around. That's why they call me Canary and not Hawk I suppose." The girl laughs freely for a moment. "Although I'm not adverse to someone teaching me."

Svana Belahdia, the Canary, is a carefree girl with a big heart. She's innocent yet not naive. She has a sharp mind but can easily trust far too easily because she likes to see the good in all. Due to this she's gotten her fingers nipped by trouble more than enough times to make her quick-witted and sharp-tongued. She also is quick on her toes, throwing herself into action without hesitation. She doesn't have a temper, most would say her temper is replaced by a need to placate people. She dislikes awkward situations although there is rarely an awkward moment around her. Without knowing how she is, she easily brightens the day and diffuses tense situations with her laid-back ease. She has a special places in her heart for cats, seeming to attract them but often it takes time for her to get them to like her. Her tomboy attitude stems from her birth from a displaced noble family, she grew up without the customs of most mage women and she likes to play dirty.

The Belahdia family was once a noble family of Duke and Duchess lineage. They served under the Sargon family and were content with their lives. However in the year where Svana's great-great-great whatever grandmother took the Duchess position, many things went awry. That great-whatever grandmother who had been in her prime had been rumored to be a player and this proved to be true when it came to light that she had decided to elope with a normal human and bear his child. Mages in the kingdom were especially outraged at this since it went against what was considered normal. The Belahdia family saw its end. More importantly, the child that her great and old grandmother had wished to carry to term died in the womb leaving behind only one child to continue the line. Years later, we come to Svana's mother who chose to lead a life hidden as a human. During this time, Svana's mother, Prinn found a mage who preferred the commonwealth life and also remained under the radar hidden from the peaceguard. They married and had a child soon after, Svana.


Svana was raised in the commonwealth among the human girls and boys and enjoyed most of her days playing with them. At the age of three she was already toying with her powers and learning to control them with her mother's assistance and supervision. When she came of the age of ten she began working in her father's bakery. Life passed by quickly, and normally as any hidden mage can have. She was an outsider by all means to the realm of politics but she knew better than to use magic in the open. Sometimes her aunt came to visit with her husband and would entreat the teen to candy and she could see her cousin Sastasha who had the same gift as her and they could play together. Her cousin soon became a fixture in her life as they grew older and they promised to stay together forever, trading scarves to that effect. At the age of nineteen, Svana found out that her dear cousin Sastasha and her mother had been killed after being found out. Prinn, quickly packed, gathered her daughter and husband, and moved out of the city. Due to the death of a family member and renewed paranoia, Prinn died the following year. The stress had been too much on her body as they moved from city to city, renting inns here and there. Svana's father did his best to fill the role of both parents but a citizen caught onto his scent one day while he was using his magic to cook food and he was killed by the peaceguard. Svana ran from there and nowadays continues her nomadic ways, taking odd jobs here and there, and laying low.

Pragmatic and efficient, Elina can be merciless in achieving her desired results but it has been noted she does it with more caution now.

Of normal blood, the Dalca family is deeply rooted in its tradition and grudges. Elina grew up hearing her grandfather - one of the first members of the Peaceguard - weave stories about what he did in his prime, and the treatment the older generations had suffered during the time of the mages. It had always been a taken that the Dalcas join the Peaceguard and Elina and her sister, Larisa, were trained extensively for that very reason. The training was harsh and much of Elina's childhood has a hand in shaping her fixation on results in the later years of her life.


Despite everything that had been told to her and her sister, Elina never saw a point in carrying on the family's grudge. Larisa shared the same point of view, apparently, as she abruptly announced she was tired of it and never joined in anymore of the sessions. Elina continued. But only because she saw she could achieve something else in the Peaceguard. Eventually, she ended up joining it much to the joy of her family and amusement of Larisa.


Elina's fixation on results would later lead to her failing a mission terribly which almost resulted in her death.

Although Pallas has a reference for monochrome colours and prefers loose, formal unisex outfits (like a tailored vest and pressed trousers), she does wear spots of colour on occasion and dress in a more ladylike manner if the occasion calls for it; otherwise, it's practicality first, formality second and attractiveness last. To this extent, she'll generally wear shoes with no noticeable heel-- if they have heels at all-- but a reinforced steel cap, in case her weaponry gets removed for whatever reason and she has to reply on unarmed combat instead, and keep her fringe out of her eyes with a tasteful yet relatively plain hairband. Being uncaring of her figure and proportions, it doesn't worry her to know that her chest is almost flat (in fact, she finds it more convenient to fight without them getting in the way) or that she's short (it allows her, at the very least, to duck and weave a lot faster than her taller counterparts).

Honour-bound and serious, Pallas is the sort of individual that truly believes magic is evil and, as such, it is her solemn duty to eradicate its users off the face of the earth. Although her intelligence may be considered above average, she's somewhat impeded by her general bull-headedness and her steadfast loyalty to those she considers friends and those worthy of her respect. As an individual who holds great respect for her superiors, but understands the need for creativity and adaptability in unpredictable situations, she does generally follow rules but won't stick to them if she can see they're not the better option. It must be noted, though that Pallas won't immediately accept individuals on face value and deem someone her friend or enemy straight away; for all her stubbornness in a firmly-established relationship, she's a cautious person who's had more than enough experience with deceptive characters, and not even her honorable side can prevent her from rebelling if she feels as though it is the right path to take.

Born as the oldest child of low-to-middle class parents enamoured with the prospect of sending their children to serve the country's military, Pallas grew up with passing knowledge of things that didn't directly pertain to her family's goals, like the specifics of Elysia before the magic purge began. In between training, training and more training, it's no surprise that she became indoctrinated by her parents' unequivocal hatred of mages (with them being an oppressed majority prior to the King's declaration of magic's evilness and taint). For obvious reasons, she was also forced into adopting a more masculine and, according to her parents' rather antiquated views on gender, supposedly powerful identity and almost caused her family to go broke with all the military training she was made to undergo.


Although her younger brother was unable to withstand the rigorous training necessary for acceptance into the Peaceguard's ranks, Pallas just scraped in (much to her parents' delight) and proceeded to devote herself towards serving her country-- a view so deeply ingrained into her psyche that she could barely recall her initial opposition to it, when her parents first introduced her to the concept of sacrificing herself for her nation. As such, she has done her best to worm her way into her fellow colleagues' good graces and do her utmost to make her parents proud.

Due to his burns, Franco is bald and his scalp is very scarred. His eyes appear very sunken in and his cheek and jawbones are highly visible. Overall a somewhat skeletal facial image. He still has his nose (still scarred but is otherwise a normal nose). Very lean and tall with not much muscle mass. His clothes are all dark colored, ranging from black to light gray. Most of his jackets and even some of his shirts have hoods to go over his head. The hoods are slightly longer than normal, reaching down past his brow to right above his eyes. He wears boots most of the time when not out in the field, giving him heavy footsteps.

Franco has a very upbeat personality in complete contrast to his forboding appearance. He likes to make jokes around other PeaceGuard when not on duty. On duty, he tends to take his job very seriously and will always follow orders. Sometimes though, he will try to bend the rules if the orders don't completely comply with his personal beliefs.


He absolutely hates magic users and is delighted whenever he gets orders that involve tracking one down. Killing them isn't what he wants to do anymore, but he at least wants to make them suffer the fear of living under those more powerful than them.

(age 1-10) Born to Kiera Griy (mother) and Devin Griy (father), they lived on a farm on the outskirts of Highmere before it became the bustling metropolis it is now. Being of such ages, his parents lived during the very end of the Mage's rule. They would tell countless, horrifying stories to Franco of the atrocities the normal people faced during those times. From this, he gained an intense hatred for all magic users. But this hatred usually stayed towards the back of his mind as he helped with farmwork and chores. His favorite farming tool was his family's scythe, passed down for many generations.


(age 11-20) At the age of 12 is when Franco started to dream of joining the PeaceGuard; having the same goal of squashing the remaining mages, too. His parents were completely against this but all their words could not penetrate his hatred of magic and his admiration of the PeaceGuard. At age 19, Franco had finally started his PeaceGuard training, learning how they work and different tactics to use against magic. Upon returning home after completing his training, Franco found his family's farm had been set ablaze. The fire was big in size and had already consumed Kiera and the farm animals. Devin sat away from the inferno, badly burnt and holding a bloody scythe. Franco ran to him, suspecting that mages caused the fire. In his dying words, Devin tried to retell how it was PeaceGuard that set the fire for unknown reasons. Franco disregarded his father's last words and swore vengeance on all remaining mages. He picked up the blood stained scythe his father had been holding and took it with him to the capital.


(age 21-25) By age 24, Franco had gained veterancy in being a pro mage slayer. Usually he wasn't on the front lines (his specialty being reconnaissance), but when toe to toe with a mage, he usually came out on top. Eventually, he came to face his first fire mage opponent. The sight of the flames drove Franco into a rage (from remembering his family's farm on fire) and he rushed the magic user, only to be blasted in the face with a humongous fireball. He sustained grievous burns, which he recovered from, but his head was left bald and scarred. This "appalling" appearance added to the public's view of him, now being seen as more of a Grim Reaper, scythe and all. Since this event, Franco has learned to have a more positive outlook on life and keeps his father's dying words at heart (he's now suspicious of the PeaceGuard, but still despises mages as well).


(age 26-present) To help combat mages, Franco modified his armor and weapon (with approval by the Supreme Commander). His gloves now have 1/4 inch long spikes on the knuckles, which he coats in the nullification drug when encountering mages. This deadly modification makes even the weakest punch from Franco a very deadly attack for many magic users. (This has also added to his Reaper reputation, nicknamed the Touch of Death). His scythe is also coated in this drug; albeit Franco prefers not to use the old fashioned tool as much anymore. Nowadays, even though Franco still hates mages, he prefers not to outright kill them, seeing it as somewhat wrong; figuring making them live like how normal people used to is a suitable punishment, too. Nonetheless, any time it is a direct order from the higher ups to kill a mage, Franco fulfills his duty without hesitation. Usually, since he has plenty of experience in killing various types of magic users, he's the one performing mage executions as well.

Ursela mostly wears plain dresses that go just above or below her knees. If she is not wearing a dress then she will be wearing a pair of long pants, a vest, and a white shirt with black boots.

Ursela is a pretty normal girl. She doesn't really like to get into fights or trouble. She is very kind to others and most things. Behind that smile she has an extreme hate for the people who hunted and killed her family, friends, and all mages. It does take a lot to get her angry and snap at someone. She is also quite brave, Ursela will not back down.

Born to a small family, Ursela had a normal life. Her father worked as hard as he could to support Ursela and her mother. Ursela would help out around the house a lot. Her father was an inventor. He and Ursela were always fascinated with guns and automobiles. They would usually come back home covered in grease and dirt.


Most of the people in her family made stuff. Her mother's family were blacksmiths, her father's family were inventors, her great great grandfather was into construction. Ursela will always follow in their foot steps. She wants to become an inventor like her father. She would like to invent something that could fly.


Mr. Rosenthal is not a mage, he makes it his job to make sure Ursela is safe. Right after her fifteenth birthday, Ursela's mother was murdered by someone who had a grudge against her family. After that her father taught her how to protect herself. He made her the weapon she has now. Mrs. Rosenthal's brother made her some home made potions that she could use to distract, harm, or hide from someone when things get tough. They took her to a secluded place where she could practice useing her powers.


Now Ursela works with her uncle in his blacksmith shop where she helps make weapons.

Born into poverty in a small agricultural town far from Highmere, Lyda discovered her innate abilities at an early age. Heeding the warnings of her parents, she kept it a close secret but could not resist using it at times to play harmless pranks on people during her childhood. As she grew up, she started using her magic more confidently and even began training it for many different purposes.


In hear mid-teens, her father fell ill and could no longer work. With their family fallen on hard times, Lyda found herself work cutting wood for one of the landowners. She practiced with the axe and gained quite a profiency in its use.


She returned one evening to find that her father had died. He had contracted plague, and almost everyone in the same street had caught it in similar circumstances. The entire village plunged into a state of panic, with the few healthy villagers struggling to keep away the diseased.


In the onsuing chaos, Lyda's mother was killed. Fires broke out and houses were burned to the ground. With the help of her magic, she escaped the turmoil and made her own way towards the big city.

Born to a family of Mages, she always had a power, but they all died when she was only three years old and she had no training to allow her to use magic spells and such, the only power she had was the ability to talk to animals and magical creatures. She was found by a dragon that her family cared for when they found it in a dragon trap, it was illegal in their territory to hunt dragons so they had to hand over the dragon, the dragon had a few wounds so they tended to her, and she felt a certain loyalty to them, but they made her return to her own tribe because that was where she belonged. The dragon found her and decided as her repayment to the family was to raise the child, so she raised her in a dragon tribe. Later she found out that her dragon mothers name was Chi. she had a wonderful time being raised by the dragon and made a lot of dragon friends, they taught her how to hunt for her own food and search for water and had plenty of brothers and sisters, but the only one she would let carry her was Chi, the dragon she trusted the most. She learned to read after they hunted Chi and the others, after her parents died no one was left to protect the tribe, Chi was in a hurry and hid her in the closest hiding spot, which was a tree, and she was defenseless in front of devil like humans, and they caught her and killed her, the only one who cared for her and she felt her heart stop at the sight of her 'mom' dead at the bottom of the tree, unfortunately she fell out of the tree when seeing her 'mom' killed. She was taken by force to the village they were a part of, and forced her upon a vicious family who hunted for fun and killed for a thrill, the only thing she could find even the slightest pleasant was school, sure the teacher was moody all the time but there she learned how to do one of her favorite pastimes....Read. Soon she was reading fairy tales and romance books, and all she wished for was a charming prince to sweep her off her feet and take her away from the awful place, but let's face it, stories aren't real, so she gave up on that dream after her evil 'sister' married the only guy she had ever crushed on. She loves the stories with romance in them because it makes her feel happy, like she has her own prince charming she wished she had during her childhood. After she grew up, she moved out of that village without a word, just packed her bag and blew out of town like a wind. She found the old tribe that Chi was a part of and vowed her life to protect the tribe. The dragons showed her where the metals were and she constructed a rapier and a dagger, spending every day training till she was a fierce warrior, and hey, she needed a hero so she became one

Having been raised relativity isolated with her grandfather and grandmother Mir often went hunting with her grandfather to bring in food...and clothing. Mir knows how to skin and make leather out of an animal and also how to dye the hide to be a certain color. (Whether or not she killed the animal legally or poached from a noble's land is a debatable topic.) As a result Mir often wears thin black leather pants, a thin black leather shirt, a gray thick leather duster with flaring ends that reach to her boots that serves as reasonable armor against surface wounds (And something to quickly wear after shifting since it can teleport to her when she wants it), along with black leather boots and brown leather arm guards...not to mention the gray belt strapped from shoulder to hip that holds her dagger and latches on to her bow and arrow sheath. Mirage also wears thin dark blue leather wrappings around most of her hands to prevent them from getting scratched or otherwise hurt.Mirage also wears an dragon necklace almost all the time even in shifted form.

: Mir is able to change form into any animal species she has touched. This does not mean she has to touch every and any kind of dog to become that dog...she just needs to touch one and she can adjust body structure as long as it is not too different from the original. This also seems to work with bones of animals who have passed on. Mir is not able to achieve a body weight in shifted form above 180lbs or less than 10lbs. Mir seems to have her own markings in her shifted form...not only do her blue-silver eyes stay the same color, but her shifted form usually has some type of stripes included in its body pattern for whatever reason. Shifting into animal form takes a bit of energy...to much shifting into animal equals to much work equals passing out from exhaustion. Staying in animal form or turning back into a human does not seem to have a energy toll...but stay in animal form for too long, say three days, and it starts to feel as if one is really really really tired. (Can not focus...is basically forced by body to turn back into human form.)


It leans in the middle of storing and copying... Mir has 3 "main" creatures stored...she can make adjustments to their weight (within the limits) and features (no drastic changes). For examples sake lets say she has a bat, cat, and horse...she wants to store a fish...but she will have to replace one of the 'blueprints' to do it and it will be lost unless she finds the same creature or remains of creature she dispensed with. Do not worry I will not spawn in the remains of animals...I will take from different posts or ask permission. I guess I should have mentioned that changing is not instantaneous...it would take at least 3 minutes of concentration to complete the transformation into animal (Turning human would likely be faster)...the less Mir can focus the longer the change will be though it would not be painful or anything. Also the bigger creature Mir turns into the more energy it would take...and as a result Mir would have to compensate with either rest, meditation, food and drink etc. (Mir eats A LOT) Sorry I did not go into more detail...typical mistake of mine since I have the memory of a gold fish.

Mir has a very odd outlook on life...she is endlessly curious and likes to stick her nose in places it should not be. The woman has a soft spot for the underdogs often coming to the rescue and leaving without a word. Despite her almost carefree or reckless attitude the young women is often troubled by deep morale thoughts, haunting dreams of almost killing the two who attacked her, along with a mistrust of all people. Not to say Mir does not like people...she has just learned it is better to keep her distance when dealing with others...and when you lend a helping hand make sure few people know it. Mir is not above pickpocketing or poaching though she is strictly against anything that would cause severe mental or physical harm to others...Mir will only kill if it is absolutely necessary perhaps an imprint of her magic...animals do not fight for revenge they fight in defense or survival and that seems to have carried over into Mir's personality.

Mir is tough...she never knew her real parents which does not bother her in the least and is not a part of it...the reason the young women is tough is because of her grandparents...she had many chores to do and she was expected to do them or she would not be eating any time soon...which was a terrifying considering Mir and her grandparents lived quite a ways up in the mountains...meaning it was snowing three fourths of the year and raining the other fourth. Survival was a real thing up on that mountain and some of the things Mir learned how to do included, but was not limited to: Dyeing leathers, treating basic wounds, hunting and skinning, camping, and most importantly sneaking. The mountains held things more dangerous and mysterious than an elderly couple or a young curious girl...some included the great bears who sought out caves, the wolves, the wolverines...and the big cats..and those were only the predators...in the mountains the prey was just as dangerous if not even more so. Sneaking was the only way to really survive. If confronted Mir will likely do her best to escape….if there is no other way out you can bet that this women will not play fair.


Eventually her grandparents passed away from old age...an emotional but not traumatic experience. The young girl was around 15 at the time and had only just found out about her ability to shift her shape...which perhaps was the reason her grandparents had been able to let go at their age, knowing that, with the ability to shift forms into an animal would protect Mir from the mountain animals better than they ever could. Throughout this time Mir had maintained a rather innocent outlook of the world because of her isolation. Oh there would be rumors from villagers who came for Mir's grandmothers healing knowledge, but in effect her grandparents knew little about the revolution...did not think it too serious or dangerous...just a light storm that would blow over. Than about two years after her grandparents passed away Mir came across two travelers, a male and a female, from the other side of the mountain. They were cold and so the young women asked them if they wished to stay the night. They did...with harrowing results as the two had a lot more uses for a 17 year old girl than just sleeping over...their intentions were more personal, more perverted. Mir fought back, shifting form and fighting with all her might...losing some vision in her left eye in the process, but chasing them off and giving them maiming wounds. Perhaps it would have been better to kill them for they brought stories of magic with them...handing it right over to the peacegaurds...along with the brutal evidence of the savage ways of the sorcerer on the mountain side. So Mir left, chased, she is now more knowledgeable about the world, less trusting...but she has the same sense of curiosity and humor as she did when she was young. This women often looks at the world as a fun experience, a game, a curiosity to counter her often depressing thoughts.

That expression you see above is a lie; Altair will almost always be found with closed eyes and a beaming grin on his face. Moving on from that, though...


Altair takes special pride in his hair, which is styled in an asymmetrical bob; apart from a steep lengthening of his fringe, which sweeps to his left and is, at its longest, chin-length, the rest of his hair is barely past his ears, and the parts that are tend to be shaved incredibly close to his skull. He's a big fan of hats, especially military-style caps or visors, and can often be seen wearing them-- not as a means of shielding his face, but as a means of shielding his eyes when he needs to conceal his emotions, which are most expressive when seen in his pupils. Although he tends to stick with darker clothing (the closer to black, the better), he does have a propensity for flared sleeves and silver, red or gold trimmings in his clothing, especially his coats (of which he owns far too many for his own good); he also adores boots and makes a point of wearing ones with heels, if only so he can stand a little taller than everyone else. According to him, there's no need for cheeriness in one's clothing when one is cheery enough as is-- otherwise he'd probably be decked out in loud Hawaiian shirts all day, every day.

Bright and cheery, it's hard to see why Altair could be in the Peaceguard when he's always ready for a chat, cracking jokes or a good snooze-- and indeed, that is how he likes to appear before strangers and loose acquaintances alike. This doesn't mean he's easygoing, though; if anything, the moment you step over an invisible line only he has any access to, his smiles turn frosty and his eyes harden up until his tinkling laughter is all but a pipe dream, because as soon as you try to go against him then you're nothing but scum in his eyes. Even when he's on duty, it's hard to get him to do what you want, partly because he never bothers acting seriously but partly because he just doesn't respond well to suggestions, let alone full-on orders... which isn't surprising, considering his rather finicky temperament and self-centred attitude. Of course, he's often pretty good at hiding all this from people-- it wouldn't be any good to drive them all off before he can use them as he pleases, after all-- but those who do get to see the vain, demanding side of him are often too late, because it means he'll force you to love him and stay with him forever if that's the last thing he ever does with you. For all his supposed cheeriness, it's all just an act... because he really isn't anything but a twisted, selfish brat, and the worst thing is that he wouldn't have it any other way.

Growing up in the heart of Highmere may not seem like the best place to nurture a child, but that was exactly where Altair was born and raised. As the youngest of two siblings-- himself and an older sister he barely saw because of their large age gap-- and the child of working-class parents, he rarely saw any of his family beyond late nights, when they would bid him a good night and go straight to bed, and early mornings, when they would bid him farewell and move onto their respective workplaces or schools, so his general estrangement with them probably doesn't seem all that surprising. With countless hours to himself and just about nobody to spend them with, he would often be found wandering the streets, observing others and cataloguing all the things he and they had in common, so it didn't take long for him to become an expert at reading people. Eventually, he would use this information to weasel his way into the Peaceguard, but one incident of note must be said before we move onto that topic.


See, Altair's parents both worked at an industrial factory, manufacturing automobile parts (despite their inefficiency in the current times) for a living, and once machinery was built to increase productivity and decrease manpower, his parents were immediately laid off. Having nowhere better to go, his parents were forced into odd jobs here and there-- but this meant that they could see a lot more of their son, along with other members of the public. Before long, his parents had befriended a nice couple next door, with which they soon became good friends with. Unbeknownst to anyone, though, this couple were mages-- and when they were discovered, through some accident or another, it naturally followed that anyone who sympathised with them would follow the same fate. On the day the mages were overwhelmed in their homes and gassed to death with the new poison the Peaceguards were using, the then-teenager had front-row seats to his parents' unceremonious execution through a rather sloppy decapitation.


Rather than feeling dismay at the loss of his parents, though, Altair found himself intrigued by the Peaceguards who had so quickly incited fear and respect in the neighbourhood through countless acts like those that had taken the lives of his parents and neighbours. Through the use of threats, sheer bull-headed determination and other unsavoury tactics, he managed to secure a spot in the Peaceguard's ranks within a matter of years, first as an interrogator and later as a long-distance combatant. And though he dreams of getting revenge for his parents' deaths on some nights, he finds that he can hardly care for their loss in most other times. Maintaining power for himself, after all, was simply more important than nostalgic, half-baked memories of people he barely knew.

Allie stands at about 5’ 5”, and is of a small, slightly flat figure weighing about 115-120 pounds.
Appearance
With a smile often plastered onto her face and a bouncy skip in her step, Alice appears at first glance to be every definition of cute and naive. Her form appears to suggest that she could be a gymnast and while she does enjoy acrobatics, it's not her most ambitious of pursuits. Her friends are constantly bickering over whether she is brunette or dirty blonde, because grease and oil stains constantly smudge her hands and face. This highlights her shocking eyes even more, and makes her seem less bitter, when she is. Can’t take someone seriously with a big smudge of black on their nose, can you?


In terms of clothing, for informal occasions she wears ankle boots and pants, with a raggedy ‘skirt’ (more like an apron), shirt and a jacket cropped short at around her waist (please ignore the trim colours, chains and futuristic-ie-ness). All are in shades of brown except for the shirt, which is a light blue. It has been rumoured that the colour is to hide grease stains. During formal occasions such as, oh, I dunno, a meeting with expert mechanical engineers and government officials, she’ll wear a plain dress, the skirt reaching just above her ankles. With that, she has a matching long-sleeved vest. Both are dark brown with a simple white trim, and actually don’t have odd, pouffy shoulders.

Ability

: Using the manipulation of energy, Celia can animate inanimate objects. Now, she was born with a less powerful kind of magic that isn't very broad in range, but that doesn't deter the effect of toxins and magic-based poisons coming her way. Her magic only applies to the energy of non-organic objects; electrical energy, oil, the like. She can only transport that energy between herself, the third-party object and a mechanical creation. The golem must be complicated, somewhat. She’s not going to be able to do much with a cast-iron pot.


Usually, she uses her own energy when operating with her little toys, and thus essentially ‘possesses’ it. Her body will collapse into an unconscious and comatose state, but the object she’s decided to take over will suddenly roar to life, It is currently unknown how long this can last without detriment. All possible senses will be transferred to the golem. Depending upon its make, that may be only sight and sound, or it may range across all five senses. Since her magic is simple and relatively easy to control, it's also rather easy to hide. Leah’s magic leaves little evidence behind. The only catch(es) add up to her magic’s inadequacy for combat, and the fact that if she takes energy from a third-party source for a project, that golem will have a humanoid mind of its own. And depending upon the power source, that mind can be difficult to keep submissive. In other words, her magic could be betrayed by an annoying, chattery metal bird with an indefinite lifespan.


The two birds, while sharing a same basic design, have different proportions. One has the shape of a canary, and the other of a robin or small raven. The first is the one she prefers to 'possess.' It's also smaller by about an inch, it being about three and a half inches in height. The other is about four inches.

Leah is a girl of mood extremes. Some people believe she’s bipolar, but she doesn't have mood swings, she’s just really enthusiastic. If Celia is in a good mood, she’ll be springing about the streets unable to wipe a smile off her face. If she’s had a long day, she’ll have a low tolerance for the annoying or superfluous and snap at those who are. Even though Leah is an eccentric soul, she is decent at hiding her emotions when necessary. This comes in part from knowing when to shut her mouth, which is all she can do to hide her practice of magic. She’s a horrible, horrible liar. Now this trait comes from experience with social trial-and-error. Similarly, despite her bubbly and possibly naive nature, she is surprisingly skilled in diplomacy. There are those who want to solve the mage-issue with peace, and those who do something about it. Leah is way ahead of them both.


Despite whatever mood she might be in, there is one thing that can cheer her up or calm her down. Give her something to fix, design, something. If she has a pile of scrap metal and a a blueprint, that’s enough.

At the young age of six, her parents and thirteen-year-old brother were convicted of the practice of magic, but the only mate among them was her mother. She was tried and tested like the rest, but her age proved some of the results null and void. One such was a lie-detection test. Hard to determine if a young child, squeaking and bouncing all about the room, was lying or just rattling off whatever came to mind. Since their execution, she was taken into a rather prestigious boarding school for the whole of her education, and quickly became a prodigy at the art-like science of mechanical engineering.


During her schooling (and especially her time enrolled at the city’s college), the higher-ups that associated with the government and Peaceguard were quick to note her skill. Often times, when they wanted a new model of something, or a new design of this or that but were unwilling to pay for one of the great names in engineering on it, they would confront her. Just to be safe also, she does most of her work without magic. Only non-commissioned projects (such as her little pet birds) are not ‘honest work,’ as she calls it.. Leah graduated at the age of eighteen, and continued her work for the Peaceguard and their government, although with reluctance. She convinced herself that the quicker and less painful a death she could give those unlucky enough to be convicted of the practice of magic. This is what gets her by while she strives to gain an opinion of value that she could use to sway the unsympathetic officials. Not only that, but she’s made herself an asset and hopes that that’ll give her a fighting chance if she’s discovered as a mage. The recent introduction of the water toxin might just be what reveals her, though.

Cassandra always has to dress in style. If she isn't in a womanized suit with a train of frills, she is probably wearing something tight fitting yet flexible. She likes to wear more feminine colors, and dyes her attire to match her love for pinks and fuchsias. Rarely ever is she seen not wearing frills of some sort, yet she rarely wears full-on dresses, claiming that they only get in the way when running about. She is a woman that loves fashion and design, but also demands functionality. Her hair is usually tied back in a braid to keep out of her way, but when in the public eye, she tends to wear it elegantly down and around her shoulders. Cassandra is also known to wear glasses when reading.

» Rapier - This rapier was custom made for her when she became the Duchess of Endgone. On her hilt it has her family crest and is made out of a surprisingly durable metal. She has been trained in swordplay since she was a little girl. Her movements are very swift, fast, and jabbing, just like her personality.


» Dual Flintlock Pistols - Something that really took Cassandra's interest was firearms. She personally collects them as a pastime, but also taught herself how to use them. She carried around two single shot flintlock pistols. Their reloading time is a bit long since they need to be reloaded through the front of the barrel, so they are only used as needed.


» Throwing Daggers - More than not, Cassandra will use her throwing daggers to initiate a fight. With her agility, she tends to hide, run, throw, and repeat. She can also use them in close range if she wants to do silent takedowns.


» Powder Flasks - These are your very early grenades. Cassandra uses custom made ceramic orbs filled with gunpowder or other explosive substances, then has a fuse lit and is thrown. She could also instead of lighting the fuse, toss them and shoot them. They can be pretty messy and if thrown wrong, could easily harm people she did't intend to (including herself).

Though she was taught the ways of etiquette and womanly duties, she was also taught how to be a strong leader and to believe in herself. Never did anyone treat little Cassandra as a dainty flower. She was like a redwood tree, standing tall and proud. She was never a shy one, and was always highly inquisitive. Her intelligence feeds her charisma and adds to her confidence.

» Cassandra's big personality had be be contained somehow. With her prestige and status, she learned to be disciplined, knowing when to hold her tongue and when to speak up with which tone. Since she was old enough to pick up a stick, she was trained in the art of swordplay, which her styles, takes years to master. Her body has been conditioned and so has her mind.

» Yes, she is a little vain. She cares about herself because, well, she is the most important person in her family. If she didn't care about herself a little bit more, than she would have just been another slipping down the drain with the rest of the nobles. She does take it a little far sometimes, especially when she finds herself skeptical of other's abilities. She rarely meets someone that she believes has potential and will often use first impressions to think critically of someone until they prove themselves. Yes, she's god's greatest gift to the world. And her ego is only one reason she believes she can raise the ranks to become queen.

The name Grimlow has gone back just as long as the name Sargon. When magic was still considered highly desirable, they were considered one of the highest mage families under the royal family. The Grimlow family was given dukeship over part of the kingdom, just outside of the capital named Endgone. The first duke, Duke Armonious Grimlow, ensured to the commanding royal that he would rule his dukedom with a just and righteous disposition. And for a good several generations, it had been. But just like many other places in Elysia, it became corrupt.


The Grimlow was one of the few families that accepted the duke having concubines, many of which were non-mages. This resulted in many children including the heir to the dukedom. The pure mage bloodline was diluted as the third duke was overthrown by his concubine's son. Verelian was a non-mage, and a vengeful soul. He abolished the use of concubines within the family and became the foundation for the family transitioning into a non-mage family.


By the time Sargon III came into power on his eighteenth's birthday, the mage blood within the Grimlow family was left in one member. He was the brother to the duke in power. Upon hearing Sargon's proclamation about mages several years later, the brother ran from Endgone to leave the country. But his efforts were in vain. The duke, Duke Rein Grimlow, was a lawful man. He had been trying to reestablish the Grimlow name since his placement in power. He looked back on the records and swore that one day he would make Grimlow and justified and righteous name again. And with this declaration on mages, he took advantage of it and killed his brother just outside of Endgame. The next two generations that followed were blessed with no mages.


Eustice and Marene Grimlow, however, were slightly unlucky. Marine first gave birth to a handsome baby boy Henry, then a few years later, to a beautiful baby girl. Cassandra, they named the girl, after the wife of Armonious. The two children grew into fine little nobles. However, the year of Henry's fourteenth birthday, he fell into a fit of uncontrollable magic. Molten fire fell from his hands, burning him in the process. Horrified, Marene called for her husband, and ordered that all the doors and windows to their estate be locked. No one should know that Henry Grimlow was a mage.


What was written in records was that Henry fell very ill and passed away from a disease that caused his skin to look like charcoal. Even Cassandra believed the story, as she was too young to know the real truth behind the matter. Marene had become too traumatized by her experience that she became a recluse and a shut-in. Her father was growing older and refused to go back to the once tradition of concubine use. With no male heir to pass the dukedom to, Cassandra became the first duchess of Endgone. The only accessory he wears is a silver necklace with a feather pendant hanging off it.

Possessing a brilliant and incisive mind, Orpheus is a force to be reckoned with. He has an eye for detail and an ability to intuitively deduce people's motivations. Little gets past him, least of all lies. Blunt, he does not beat around the bush and delivers facts as it is, sugar-coating not a word in his dictionary. He's hardly the most friendly person around too and seems to hold most people in contempt. He is cruel and callous, single-mindedly focused on his goal and will go to any lengths to achieve it. Empathy is a lost notion on him. He is also very obstinate and his single-mindedness often leads him to become blind to other things.

Orpheus had never quite fit in even when as a child. His brilliant mind put him years ahead of his peers and boredom became his best friend. He had grown arrogant though would eventually be knocked down from his pedestal. His days were spent out in the streets of Highmere watching the crowd and noting down the idiosyncrasies of certain individuals. When he could, he attended public executions and soon found himself intrigued by how the Peaceguards commanded power over the populace. He voiced his thoughts to his parents who instantly shut him down. It was hardly surprising, though. Since they were the kind who liked to keep their heads low and go on with their merry business.


Surprisingly, he did manage to make a friend. They weren't the sort to spill out all their personal secrets but were still considerably close. They exchanged necklaces-- the same necklace he still wears. Time passed and it wouldn't be long before he found out said friend was a mage and so were his parents. Orpheus, pushed on by some reason unknown to him then, reported them. The person he reported them to had praised him. He attended their public execution and would never forget the look of betrayal on his friend's face. Orpheus would marvel once more at the power one could hold over others and eventually join the Peaceguard.


He quickly rose through the ranks of the Peaceguard and found out he wasn't the sole wildly intelligent person. After having been knocked down and around for so many years, he has finally settled down comfortably.

0 - 10 Years


Since the day he was born he was spoon feed the tales of how terrible and monstrous the mages are growing up to believe almost every one is a horrendous demon simply living with in a human form. Along with this he received training in swordplay, while his father was a wealthy noble he knew little of things like this so he trained under a family friend and a member of the peacegaurd it is here where he picked up the want to join the peaceguard and remove the wicked mages from society. During the young years was also when hie father pressed another important lesson onto him, Not to look down or treat the common like rabble at lest now while you walk among them as even they can make a power enemy after all they aided in first removing the mages.


11 - 16 Years.


It was during the years when he became a teenager when he picked a deep interest for all things exotic the cultures from far off lands to their technology, especially firearms 'To think, with this I can shoot a man in armor and watch him die before my eyes'was his first thought upon seeing a firearm from a far off nation. Quickly seeing the potential in them he also took up marksmanship along with his sword play. He has growen a great distaste for weapons made with in Elysia simply from there low quality and lack of expect craftsmanship.


16-19 Years


Once he reached sixteen using his connection with that man that trained him in swordplay he entered into the training program of the peaceguard. due to his lack of experience in the world and fighting mages the training was harder than he ever expected coming close to breaking many times during it but managing to pull though mostly unscathed, At lest physically mentally he was not so lucky becoming almost sadistic for mages that wouldn't break or fought back against him as well as quick to anger at mages that do not bow down to the kingdom.

He has a rather fair complexion, with his fair share of wrinkles due to this current form's age. At first glance, Aaron has an extremely unkept appearance. His hair is ever barely kept, and rarely will he shave. Surprisingly enough, in spite of this forms age there are barely any scars, almost as if he'd barely been cut his whole life.


Clothing wise, Aaron isn't exactly cutting edge with fashion. He normally wears a black collared shirt of some sort with a blue dirty vest over it, normal working class pants, woodsman boots, and on top of it all he wears a trenchcoat made from a thick bear pelt. Adding onto this odd attire are the blind man glasses he veils over his eyes even though his eyesight is perfectly fine. He may also wear the occasional hat depending on the day, but always wears leather gloves.

Ability

: Body Switching. To put it in simply, Aaron's able to shift his consciousness into another human and 'snatch' their body, taking full permanent control over it. Such a process is fatal to the host and cannot be undone, nor is it for the feint of heart. Aaron generally only uses this as a last resort, getting as much use of a body as he can before he inevitably has to switch. Going into more detail, Aaron has to switch with a

living

human host, it can't be an animal. Things like race or even gender doesn't matter, however in order to swap a few things must be achieved. First of all, the target has to be weakened in some way so he's guaranteed the body, as failed shift attempts can be fatal. Secondly the head must be unprotected. Things like helmets, glasses, or even masks can make body shifting increasingly diff


Once a shift has successfully been accomplished, Aaron completely controls the body. All physical abilities such as strength or speed remain, as well as things such as voice. Appearance wise, the little will change. The only significant changes will be a change in eye color to ruby red, and slightly sharper teeth. Through these changes, Aaron's mental state remains the same and personality does not shift. Furthermore, it doesn't matter wether the host is human or mage, Aaron does not inherit any powers from the host and his magical abilities remain the same. This all comes at a very odd price however. Through years transferring bodies, Aaron has lost all ability to effectively heal itself. Even things like small cuts can take hours to clot, and major wounds...take far too long to heal. The severe penalty seems fatal, but Aaron's powers grant him one way around it.

Aaron is no monster in spite of his rather odd set of abilities, he just simply wants to survive. Survival is the main goal that motivates Aaron. He doesn't care how he has to do it, just living another day is fine enough for him. Because of this goal much of Aaron's personality has molded around this idea, making him very selfish in nature. Mainly, he doesn't like attracting attention to himself, by no means is he shy but fewer words mean fewer glances. Having grown a rather neutral ego that's very cold to his surroundings, morals don't seem to matter too much to him. Now by no means does he want to watch the world burn, but your problem isn't his problem you're most likely on your own. He is also very observant of his surroundings, after all getting cut on some surface or stabbed by some vagrant's toothpick can have dire consequences. This manner also follows into conversation, as Aaron likes to scan people and carefully choose his words to try and minimize conflict. Due to his powers he is also very knowledgable about the human body, knowing the location of many arteries and veins. Another notable feature of this hermit's personality is his odd sense of humor. Let's just say it's rather darker than most...

At an early age, Aaron's life seemed fairly normal. He went by the name of Evan Lyodstrum at this point in his life, and was the child of two merchants. He was given a minor home-school education, just enough to make him literate at this point in his life, and was not aware of his magical abilities, as both of his parents hoped that hiding his heritage just might mask his abilities until he was old enough to control them. However, they still wished to avoid any incidents of emotion that could trigger his powers, so he spent much of his youth indoors, away from other children. Also, it should be noted that at the age of eight his body still had the ability to heal itself. When he turned nine, his family made an abrupt move across the city for reasons that Aaron, or Evan, wouldn't know for some time.


When Evan first turned twelve his family abruptly moving to other districts of the city. Aaron never knew why, until after the third time they just suddenly upped and moved. They were both runaway mages, who posed as merchants to be lookouts for other mages on the run from peacekeepers. While he knew their bloodlines, sadly they never revealed to him their powers though in less than a decade none of that would really matter.


Fate would catch up to Evan and his constantly moving family in his 20's. A tip from a captured mage would lead peacekeepers straight to the lookout. Evan's (Aaron) parents tried to fight but succumbed to the strange toxins, while Evan was shot in the gut and left for dead by some cruel twist of fate, narrowly escaping an inferno to his home by crawling through a window and into his unsuspecting neighbor's home. Originally his neighbors, a blacksmith and his daughter who was only slightly younger than Evan, had planned on turning him in. This changed once they determined his wounds were fatal, feeling pity on the young man they tried to nurse the pain. After a day of suffering Evan was the closest to death he'd ever been, and that was the day he first shifted bodies. His screams attracted the blacksmith's daughter...his emotions and pain drove the power. It truly was an accident, to Evan he thought it was a nightmare brought on by the pain. After ten seconds of screaming...he didn't know if it was him or the girl, he was looking down on his former body, lifeless. He would spend the next three years of his life coming to terms with that day, while growing accustomed to this foreign body, changing his name to Aaron Lloyd to compensate for the obvious gender difference.


When he turned 33 Aaron had swaped bodies three times. Once with the blacksmith's daughter, and a second time with some traveler due to wounds from an encounter with a knifed robber. The second time he swapped bodies he began to notice that healing was dramatically falling, but this isn't what caused him to switch. A rough run in with a peace keeper led to the advertising of his face on wanted posters across the city. Feeling the noose of authority growing tighter and tighter, he swapped yet again. The first two times were messy, sloppy, and very intense. This time would be different though...he got a homeless man to pass out drunk then did it in a quick and efficient manner in the basement of some cellar he dragged him into. No screaming, no struggle. After the matter was over Aaron shot the corpse of his former body in the head, and placed a flintlock next to his previous body to make it look like a suicide. Then he proceeded to flee the scene to lead to his now currently anonymous state, three years later.
