Realistic or Modern Love, Live, Life

Austin shook his head and turned around in frustration and started pacing back and forth "ah turn it up, you and I both know that's a load of bull college would never change me like that honestly do you think that low of me now!" He was yelling and he knew it but he stopped caring a while ago and continued on talking " it's funny how ya say I'm full of crap but I'm standing here being honest to you I never wanted to have this conversation hell I never wanted to leave you!, so just shut your gob and listen to me dammit!" He couldn't believe that they were even doing this right now of all times.

I was about to speak until I seen Celeste dash from the house and out into the curb. She looked in a rush and I didn't even have time to say bye.

@LannTheClever

"Celeste!!? You're leaving??" She was already gone.

Looking back at AJ, who I have clearly angered, I just stand for a moment looking at him pace. I hated when he was mad at me. He probably thinks I hate him which is why I'm acting this way, but it's actually the opposite.....but I couldn't tell him. No way I'd give him that benefit, that power over me.

"Watch your tone with me! You know better! And I don't think low of you AJ you just don't know what you did to me! That shit hurt dude it really did ok!? We talked about endless nights of cuddling and college life together on the phone I graduate high school and you freaking break it off!? What the hell WHO DOES THAT!?" I'm also yelling at this point, arms spread wide open. "Then last year at 'guys night'....was that just another fling too? I bet you didn't even care about me did you? Then OR now!" Yupp, my melodramy was in full effect.

Nick sat in the kitchen drinking his mix drink he just made. He hadn't seem carter since the night they kissed. Nick hadn't been looking forward to this day but he knew it would come eventually. Nick sighed as he sat there and continued drinking and grabbed a slice of pizza. Hen hadnt told anyone about that night and he was pretty sure carter didn't either. Nick was all over with his emotions right now as he sat there and wondered should he go out and say hi or would carter come in here and say hi.

Lindsey

She let out a small giggle at his comments and kissed his cheek playfully. "We'll be inseparable! Lindsey and Carter had gone through a lot together. She had always been his drunk call and he had always been her chill pill. When she felt stressed out or overwhelmed a small conversation with him seemed to always be the trick. When he mentioned Nick, Lindsey turned her attention to Nick who had just left the scene rather rudely. She wondered what his deal was. He had been chitty chatty one moment and now it was like he was a completely different person.

"I have no idea what his problem is. Maybe you should go talk to him." She remembered Carter telling her about that sly "incident" he and Nick had had and she wondered if that's why Nick was being so weird. Was it possible that Nick was still worked up about the situation even though it had happened some time ago. That was Lindsey's best guess, but she was no love expert as she was so kindly reminded a few moments ago. Lindsey let go of Carter and took the bottle from his hands. "Don't mind me. I'll put this somewhere safe. She said with a wink. Lindsey had never been a big drinker, but ever since her college friend Opal had dragged her around through various parties, Lindsey and booze had become one.

@Energie

At this point Austin was literally laughing he knew she had a temper but he had one just like hers "I'd better watch my tone!?, brie I don't think you understand how very pissed I am at this moment how the hell do you think I feel do you think be wanna be in this situation right now!, I'd rather be Inside with our friends right now but no we're out here yelling at someone we'd never even imagine of hurting" he yelled he was heated now and pretty much everything she said would set him off then when she brought up guys night it immediately pissed him off "that bullshit if a night wasn't planned by me the guys put that together so I'd at least be somewhat happy again how do you think I felt after us splitting up it literally killed me inside! I lost the only woman I ever really loved!" He never imagined that he'd say that to her that was something only the guys knew but now she knew he didn't plan on keeping anything hidden anymore.

@Ch0sen1

Carter gave Lindsey a knowing look, as she pressured him to go talk to Nick, figuring he must have let the ball slip in one of his drunken ramblings to her; but, the memory of that talk and most others like it had long faded from his memory. He reluctantly relinquished his hold on the bottle, happy to give it away to Lindsey now that she drank. "Don't drink too much, sweetheart. Don't want you ruining the Porters' carpet, yeah?" He called out as he made his way into the kitchen.

His strides stuttered as he caught sight of Nick sitting in there, his movement having placed him into a situation his mind hadn't completely prepared the words for. He quickly recovered from his minor stumble, clearing his throat as he rounded the corner and made his way to grab a slice of pizza. "Can't say hey?" He muttered, delaying making eye contact with Nick until he had the slice in hand. He turned, leaning his body on the edge of the counter, finally looking in the kid's direction.

(@Energie you mean Nick lol)

Nick turned suddenly as he heard a voice and he knew who it was right away. It looks like carter was the first one to say hi. Nick sighed as he watched carter grab a slice of pizza and then lean against the counter near him. "Hey sorry about that it's just um I don't know a little weird you know. We haven't talked since that night and now all of a sudden were here again with our group of friends." Nick couldn't stop blushing as he looked at carter. Nicks heart was going crazy as he knew the and there that for whatever reason he had a huge crush on carter and he wanted him. Nick tried pushing these thoughts and feelings away from him but he couldn't. He wasn't sure what it was about carter that was driving Nick crazy but for whatever reason he was.

Austin could always put me in my place. I rarely ever got mad but we both knew why this was happening. One thing I loved....love about Austin is his ability to handle me. No matter how stubborn, dramatic, or passionate I get. "Then why didn't you just tell me after we hooked up that night, AJ? I was hurt too that's what you fail to realize MY feelings...you just let it be and then my freshman year came and you weren't there...." My anger turns back into pain as I look into Austin's eyes with sadness. These weren't just crush feelings, the feelings I have for this kid go beyond comparison. He was my first boyfriend, my first & only "partner", it was crazy to think about, but that year and a half was hell, so much that my passion of swimming felt like a dream. I look at Austin speechless now.

Austin sighed and pulled her into a hug a real hug not like the one they had earlier he knew that the argument was over but the hard part was just beginning "I don't know why brie I just couldn't find the right words ya know b the last thing I ever wanna do is hurt you or see you hurt you are and always will be the love of my life " he said quietly as he held her close he could feel a single tear stream down his face brie was literally the only person he ever felt comfortable crying in front of and she knew that better than anyone else.

Lindsey

With Carter now out of the room Lindsey felt a sudden loneliness. There was no one else in the living room, but her. She sat down on the couch and watched the movie that had long been forgotten by the rest. One of her least favorite scenes was playing so Lindsey took out her phone, which was surprisingly not cracked, and stared at the message Philip had sent her. As if in a trance Lindsey's finger's began to hover over the keyboard. She could hear Opal's disapproving voice in her head. "He hurt you Sey. Not only emotionally, but physically. Look at yourself! You have bruises all over your arms and legs. I'm surprised you've let it go for this long. You need to end it now hun. He isn't good for you." "But...But I love him Opal. I love him more than what I love Susan from biology freshmen year." "How can you love someone who harms you Sey?"

Lindsey punched in the last letters and pushed send. She stared at the phone growing in anticipation wondering if he had actually meant to text her or if it had been a mistake.

Ash had climbed high into one of the large trees in the backyard. The thick leaves were keeping both her and the branch she was perched on pretty dry. One leg was hanging from the edge and the other was curled around the nearly empty bottle of vodka. Leaning back against the branch she giggled thinking about how tricky it would be to get down from here drunk. She had a pretty decent buzz on her, probably because she had been downing the bottle in large gulps since she had gotten up here. But she'd climbed more things then this while drunk so she wasn't super worried. Taking out her phone she resumed scrolling through her pictures. She barely if ever deleted what photos she did have and now she was just looking through old photos from the groups last year of high school. Back then things had been perfect. Now they were a bit weird and strained. It was one of the many reasons she had always been hesitant about dating within the group, not that it was something she'd have to worry about anyway. No one had ever shown any interest in the fairy girl in more than a friendly way. She was giggling to herself at the thought when her phone buzzed and popped up a text notification. She read it smiling slightly before sending back a response.

Shoving her phone back in to her pocket and downing the remaining bit of vodka in the bottle she decided to begin her descent. Tucking the cold bottle in to the hip of her jeans for safety she began lightly descending, carefully lowering herself from branch to branch until she was low enough to jump to the ground. Taking the bottle from her hip and back into her hand she did just that. Landing lightly in the rain slick grass. She made her way back to the house and up the back porch, entering through the kitchen door. She raised her eyebrows at Carter's presence and simply waved. Trading out her empty bottle for the second unopened one she had brought. Water was dripping from her hair as she entered the living room, noticing Lindsey on the couch. She sighed making her way past them and towards the hall with the linen closet to grab a towel for her hair.

Carter held the pizza in his hand, but he didn't have much of an appetite. He heard what Nick had to say, but he couldn't contain the roll of his eyes. "Nice excuse, man." He stated, always having a tendency to call things as he saw it regardless if that's the way things truly were. He looked Nick over, his mind flashing back to the night and his mindset -- no agenda, few prior feelings on Carter's in... just a few too many beers and hormones; however, since that night Carter would say that there was something there -- a definite mutual attraction at the least.

However, Carter wasn't one to act on his feelings, fearing that investing yourself into someone else gave them too much control over your emotional state and the long break in between the two talking had made Carter uneasy. "Look." He stated, his voice high on that one word to gain Nick's attention, however it dropped to a whisper so that they wouldn't be overheard. "It was just a kiss. Don't blow it up to be anything more, Nick. We both know that'd be a dumb decision." His voice was level, though he was clearly holding back the way he truly felt.

Austin pulls me into the tightest, warmest hug I can ever imagine. I hear him talking, but only those timeless words catch me.

~you are and always will be the love of my life~

Austin never cried for anyone. This man was strong, so everything I just bickered at him about made me feel terrible, because that tear just showed me how much he cares. I look up with eyes of pain myself, a little watery. I wipe Austin's tear away and the year and a half seems distant, almost non existant.

"Don't ever do that to me again loco...." I say buried into his chest. I then look up and stand on my tip toes to kiss him. I place my soft lips on his. Out here, in the rain, like some cliche romance movie. But to me I didn't care. I pull back swiftly. "I'm so sorry...." @EclipseRising

Lindsey

The next came almost instantly. Her hands there trembling long after the phone had stopped vibrating. She stared at the bright screen reading Philip's text over and over making sure to memorize every detail of those words. Her heart was pounding and she felt a sudden urge to jump up in the couch and start dancing. She felt a rush of happiness and a strange feel of guilt. She knew that she shouldn't have answered his text just like he hadn't answered her texts, but the feeling was too good to pass up. Lindsey grabbed her phone and punched in a response. She was sure they weren't going to take too long. She'd be in and out in a flash no one would notice she was even gone, maybe that wasn't really a good thing. Lindsey put on her shoes and grabbed her bag. She stepped out of Aubri's house and quietly went over to her jeep to make sure no one saw her leaving. She felt ashamed of sneaking out on her friends, but Aubri and Austin where discussing their love story, Carter and Nick where in the kitchen doing god knows what and the rest of the group had been MIA.

Lindsey got on her jeep and headed home where she would wait for Philip to arrive and pick her up.

Austin nodded quietly "I won't I promise" he said with a slight smile, he turned bright red as she kissed him it had been a while since they kissed he smiled happily as she pulled away and leaned in once she apologized "ah belt up " he said playfully as he kissed her ,the rain gently falling down on them like some cheesy romance movie that they always made fun of.

@Ch0sen1

Nick looked down when carter scolded him pretty much for not saying anything. "Again I'm sorry for that carter I really am." Nick kept his head down not saying anything. He just sat there thinking of his feelings toward carter and he had to say that he definitely attracted to carter and maybe wanted to see where things would go. Nick then looked up as he listened to carter, and then something he said really caught nicks attention. "Why would it be a dumb idea carter?"

@Energie

I smiled against him telling me to can it as he kissed me like he would never see me again. I wrap my arms around his neck and embrace him tightly. I didn't want to bring out the tricks, not yet. We still had things to catch up on. I pull away again, but my arms still around him.

"We're taking things slow okay? Lento." I didn't want to. Only The Pack and my conscience was stopping me from doing what I really wanted right now. Guys night last year, part 2.

@EclipseRising

Austin smiled as they broke the kiss they were still holding each other like their lives depended on it he knew that they'd be taking things slower than usual but he was ok with that as long as he had her it didn't matter how fast or slow they went.

"I understand mate and that's fine by me" he said smiling as he picked her up off the ground and looked into her eyes he had the one he wanted so regardless of whatever happened his summer would be awesome.

@Ch0sen1

I look into Austin's eyes with a smile, in a trance. Then I say: "AJ.....let me down before I jump your bones. I need ....we need to get back to The Pack." I had to force myself off of AJ before I would've stayed glued to him forever. His charm was amazing. From a jerk in my eyes to my knight once again. I open the door to the living room and only see Ash. I give her a look of euphoria, I'll let her use our twin telepathy to determine what happened.

"Where the heck is everyone?" I look around only to Ash, Nick, and Carter.

"Carter!? When did you get here??" My face shows utter surprise. I also blush a bit.

@EclipseRising @X3 Infernal Infinity @Timv9 @Energie

Austin smiled and followed behind her closing the door behind them as they entered the den, he nodded a hello towards the newly arrived Carter "sup mate" he said as he took a seat in the recliner and looked around the room at the remaining amount of people.

Lindsey

Lindsey was sitting down on behind the wheel of her jeep reapplying her lip gloss, something she had never done. Once the shine was gone, it stayed gone. Her heart was skipping beats with excitement of seeing Philip again. She checked her phone constantly for messages from either Philip telling her she was close, or Aubri asking her where she was. Nerves got to her thinking about Aubri and how mad she would be if she found out she had ditched them to go meet a guy.

A small tap on the back of her Jeep startled Lindsey as she turned around and found Philip right behind her. She opened her mouth to say hello, but he seemed to have no interest in speaking since he went straight for her lips. Philip's soft warm lips molded around her's as they had for months and she suddenly felt very frail and vulnerable. She could have stayed kissing the guy for ages since she missed the feel of his lips on her, but Philip broke first, "Strawberry lip gloss? Nice! Scoot over love. Let's go for a ride." Without a single word and still dizzy from the thrill of the kiss, Lindsey moved over to the passenger seat and let Philip take control like he had for most of their relationship.

In that moment, Lindsey began to feel scared and insecure. Why had he texted her? What did he want to talk about? Her mind began raising with all the possibilities that could happen right there. Was he here to finish what he started the last time they talked or was he here to start something new? Lindsey was terrified now and wishing she had never answered his text.

Ash was in the bathroom rubbing a towel over her damp hair. The pale blue and silver locks were turning into a wavy mess. Sighing softly she dropped the damp towel on to the sink and ran her fingers through her hair, trying to get the now crinkled mess in to some semblance of order. It didn't help that it was a task she was trying to accomplish one handed while simultaneously taking swigs of vodka. Satisfied that her hair was somewhat back in order she put her pin back in her hair. Her makeup, what little of that she wore, was completely gone. Looking down at her arms she sighed. Whatever, it would be fine since no one paid that close attention any way. Still she wished she had worn a shirt with longer sleeves. Heading back in to the living room she was surprised to see the drastic lack of people. The Pack was thinning out these days. Walking over to Bri she hooked arms with her the bottle in her other hand.

"Flower party..."

Turning she grinned at Austin before sweeping Bri away in the direction of her best friends bedroom.

Austin laughed slightly at Ash but then stopped when he realized what she said "wait what?" He asked a little confused to weather she was playing around or not you could never tell with her "wait were you serious?!" He yelled up the stairs after them.

James went to the couch again, sat on the couch, alone. Seeing how everyone reunited with their couple, the way we crumbled last year. He found it funny, how Aubria's attempt to get us closer ended up in the same way we failed. He just had to see, how Lindsey walked out and go with his boyfriend, without a single goodbye, so much that he had done for her, he felt hate against her, and that doesn't wear off. He sees Austin and Aubria come in, but he payed more attention to Ash's words. "Flower party" his expression changed, then he started laughing so hard he was crying.

I look back down at Austin with a smile from the top of the stairs "This doesn't concern you lad haha, go keep James company....and could you PLEASE find everyone else in the house and tell them to get back to the living room NOW? Thanks." I give Austin a secret wink and Ashhy swiftly runs me to my bedroom. I close the door behind me and stare straight at Ash. @LannTheClever
