Realistic or Modern Love, Live, Life

Austin sighed and stepped outside feeling a little uneasy inside with everyone else something felt off today so he decided to take a breather and give everybody some space "something feels off today i don't know what though" he said quietly as he held his hand in his hands.

[[ I'm in the kitchen!! :OO ]]

Celeste threw the towels into the bin and crossed her arms. James seems to be in a bad mood, while Lindsey's face screamed something else. Surprise perhaps? She's itching to know what happened, but she decided against herself and turned to comfort her friend who's in need. "Hey bud, wanna talk?" She asked James. "It's okay if you don't want to though. Sorry I didn't get to talk to you earlier." She offered a small smile, waiting for his response.

He gets up because of Celeste talking to him."No, I'm alright. I just need time alone. And about you batting me, don't worry, got over it already." He goes and sits on the couch again. He was becoming a point of attention and he didn't like it. He sat and put his hood down, again.

I see that Austin gets up, but goes outside instead. I throw up my arms and change direction to go outside. I open the front door to see AJ with his head buried in his hands looking distraught. My stern demeanor turned into slight concern at that moment.

@EclipseRising

"What's wrong with you?"

"Ah, it wasn't on purpose but--" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "No problem. Hope you feel better." Celeste removed the rubber band from her hair after it had begun to feel irritating. The feel of her long locks bouncing on her shoulders cheered her up a little. She walked towards Lindsey, watching her with her phone in hand. "Anything new?" She asked with a curious expression on her face. "You look startled."

Austin slowly looked up and saw aubria standing behind him "heh I didn't expect to see you behind me" he said quietly as he turned back around "everything just seems so off with everyone today ya know" he said as he shook his head a little disappointed they all used to be so close.

Nick came back into the living room with his pizza and a beer and sat and watched the movie. Nick sat and thought for a minute as he noticed carter wasn't there yet. He was kinda happy he wasn't there. They had met up during the year to catch up and well they got to drinking and next think he knew they kissed. Nick was still really confused and shocked about that whole event but then there was something about that even and well carter that kinda made Nick blush and maybe want more to happen he was so unsure.

Lindsey

Through a fake smile Lindsey looked at Celeste "OH just my mom telling me out cat ran away. Nothing to worry about." She looked back down at the text she had gotten from Philip and felt very overwhelmed. Lindsey needed some time to process what had just happened. She excused herself from the kitchen and rushed to the restroom and locked herself inside. "Okay...okay think. It's just a mistake or a sick joke." Lindsey grabbed the hem of her sweater and pulled it down. All her confidence from before now gone. She sat on the edge of the bathtub and thought about the fact that Philip had just texted her. It had been months since their nasty breakup and even though she had begged him to come back to her, he hadn't even given her a second thought. He had broken Lindsey and now when she was finally starting to feel fine again, he decided to walk into her life again. It wasn't fair.

Lindsey threw her phone across the bathroom and tears started forming in her eyes. "NO! You're not allowed to come back into my life again Philip! Do you here me? You left me! Lindsey was yelling at the phone across the room threw tears. She felt like a mess and she needed to compose herself. Lindsey had never been this way around her friends, not even when her parents split up. Taking in three big breaths Lindsey walked over to the mirror and began to wash off the mascara that had started to run from her eyes.

@LannTheClever

I look at Austin and his demeanor. Things were becoming weird between everyone for no reason, but it didn't mean we weren't close. "We are close silly, just we haven't seen each other in a while.....and you know how James can be at times, a baby in a man's body haha."

I then step closer to Austin
"We used to be close....." I didn't know why I had said it, but it had to be said. I couldn't shake the fact Austin was being so non chalant about things. I waited for his response. @EclipseRising

After all the soda he had drinked, he felt an urge to pee. He got up and went to the bathroom, he saw the lights were on, so he knocked.

Celeste's brow raised in surprise as Lindsey excused herself. She knew Linds way hiding something, but she didn't want to pry. If Lindsey doesn't want to talk about it, then it must be something personal. She plopped down on one of the seats in the kitchen and leaned her arms on the counter top, burying her face in the process. She's starting to feel painfully stupid and ignorant about what's happening. She hadn't seen her friends in a long time, maybe that's what caused it? She closed her eyes and counted down from ten to one. It always worked, as what her father had told her. She used to be a ball of sunshine, but now, she couldn't feel anything. Maybe she needed to rest. Maybe all those algorithms from this morning was clogging and messing up her brain. With a sigh, Celeste sat up and pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Hey Dad, what do you want for dinner? I'll be back after ten minutes or so." She hit send and waited patiently for her father's reply while drumming her fingers on the glass table. She hastily texted him again. "And don't you dare drink something while I'm gone. Or I'll chug down all of your liquor for you. :T "

Austin nodded and smiles slightly "true but everything just feels off for some reason ya know " he said as as looked up at her,slowly stood up "yeah those were the days" he said quietly as he looked at her directly.

Lindsey

Lindsey gasped at the knock on the door. She was still puffy eyed and there was still streaks of black on her cheeks. She rushed to wipe the black off of her face but ended up only hitting herself on the sink. "Ouch...fu-...OCUPADO!" She finally said with a thick accent. Lindsey looked at herself in the mirror and felt pathetic. She wanted to crawl up in her bed and eat a huge tub of ice cream while watching horrible romantic comedies and wishing she had a perfect love life. But instead, she was stuck in this restroom scrubbing runny makeup off her face with a now broken phone and somebody outside who probably had a full bladder. Things couldn't be anything less then perfect.

Flicking the bud of her cigarette on to the ground and grinding it out beneath her boot she headed back indoors. Her hair was a little wet but she seemed to be paying it no mind as she took Roma from her shoulder and sat the spider on a bookshelf, watching as she climbed her way to the top. Grabbing her bottle of vodka she headed back outside. The vibe in the house was a lot weird and a little melodramatic. The rain outside was peaceful in comparison and she didn't want any more stress in her life right now. She loved her friends and was always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder whichever the case may call for. But at the moment it seemed she was back on the outside looking in. Drinking straight from the bottle she took a long chug of the strong liquor. Brushing through the kitchen and out the backdoor she took out another cigarette, lighting up and taking a long slow pull.

Fuck it

He sighs heavily. "I know it's you Lindsey, I just passed trough this and it seems you're the next one. " He opens the door, it was unlocked. He goes in then looks at her. He hugs her tightly and pats her back. He gets out, now locking the door.

Good night guys! Im really late

"Those were the days? Really? That's all you have to say to me? How about an explanation on why you left the very year I was coming to Cal. You were fine your freshman year then at the end of it you just....what happened AJ? Why did we stop being so close? Do you realize it's been eating away at me for a year and a half?? Serio chico, like to find out your ex goes to the same college and not see or talk to him for the whole year?" I was surprisingly calm while talking to Austin. He knows how fiery I can be, but he knows everything about me, at least the important things. I thought I knew it all about him...until we broke up for reasons that still elude me, until now.

"Tell me AJ, give me a legit reason why....you cheated? You wanted to freely look at and have sex with girls what?" I didn't even realize it, but I was inches from his face, staring into those eyes of his....searching. @EclipseRising

The wheels to Carter's Jeep Wrangler screeched to a stop just inches from the bumper of the car in front of him -- the boy had been distracted by the swig he was taking to finish off his flask. As he shifted the car into park, he took a second's pause to examine himself in the rear view mirror, replacing a fallen strand of hair back into it's place before hopping out of the car and circling it to his trunk. He made quick work of refilling his flask from a bottle of whiskey he'd snagged from his father's collection on his way out of the door.

The summer hadn't given Carter a break -- balancing an internship at a grassroots health clinic and shadowing a neurosurgeon friend of their parents. In his free time, he'd juggled preparing for the MCAT and making sure that his resume reflected all the work he'd done in his first two years at UCLA.

It had been months since Carter had made the time for the people that were more a family to him than his blood relatives. He'd done lunch or coffee with a couple, but it was usually on their invitation. He wasn't much to dwell on the missed opportunities -- he was there with them now. He knocked only once on the front door, before barging his way in.

"What's up, assholes!" He called, announcing his arrival. He made his way into the kitchen, examining the Porter's choice in alcohol, waving a curt hello to whoever was in there, before making his way to where he figured everyone was watching the movie. He unscrewed the top from the vodka bottle he was holding and took a long swig, before letting out a bark as the burn hit his throat.

"Here."
He stated, handing the bottle of to the closest person to him. "Take a shot. Help me catch up."

((What if she was peeing? You just walked in on her =P Goodnight ))

Lindsey

She was shocked by Jame's sudden appearance and disappearance. It was like one of those movie moments that took so long to happen and when it finally did there was nothing else left except an empty feeling because the moment was too short and not fully lived. It was strange and comforting and confusing. Lindsey decided to suck it up and push the past aside for a while although it was very hard for her to do. She finished clearing her face from all traces of her previous melt down and headed to the living room seeing that Carter had finally arrived and was making and entrance. She felt a sudden jolt of excitement at seeing another familiar face.

"CAAAAARRRRTTTTEEERRR!!!" Lindsey ran up to her friend and jumped on top of him in an embrace wrapping her arms and legs around him like a little girl. "I missed you bro!"

@Energie

Nick was sitting on the couch still thinking about carter and drinking his beer and next thing he knew, the boy he had been thinking about barged in and made a huge scene right away. Nick blushed really red as he had to admit carter still looked unbelievably good like really good. He sighed as he got up to go grab another drink because he was going to need one now that carter was here. Nick sat in the kitchen for a minute and took a shot of vodka. Then he made a moved drink of vodka and soda and stayed in the kitchen.

Austin took a deep breath and looked away he knew this conversation was coming soon and here it was "I don't know why I did what I did alright I was just a bit confused alright I wasn't sure if you even wanted to stay with me so I decided to give you some space" he said as he turned slightly this was something he really hoped that could wait until their friends were gone but it looked like they were talking now "and the fact that you'd even consider me cheating on you just upsets me entirely I would've thought that you of all people would know me better than that" he said trying to keep his voice down and remain calm all at the same time.

@Ch0sen1

I give Austin the dumbest look of all mankind, one that showed I had no idea why he'd ever think I'd want to leave OR want space. I throw my hands up and scrunch my face in a manner that shows my confusion. "What the!? Austin are you...!? Why the hell would I leave you after I committed to the #1 swim college in the WORLD AND my boyfriend was there!? That was my dream come true!!" I realized I had raised my voice a bit, I had to calm myself. And me accusing him of cheating....I did know Austin better than that. I was so melodramatic at times I couldn't help it. I try not to be stubborn but I couldn't resist: "Well......it's college. You just broke up with me what would you think if it was me huh?? And who the freak gives space for a year and a half AJ you're full of crap! Stop playing with me and tell me WHY!"

It still felt as if we were a couple arguing. I had so much pain and animosity stored up over the years I had finally got the chance to release it. And it felt good.

Celeste's phone vibrated after a couple of minutes. She pulled it out and stared long and hard at her father's text. "Too late. Lol. Oh and chicken would be nice. Roasted, mmm yes.-Dad" She knew she would rue the day she taught her father the wonders of text messaging. She shook her head slowly while a small smile crept up her face. The old man is so going to pay for that, she though mischievously. She got up and walked towards the front door waving goodbye to her friends. "Gotta go, can't handle the atmosphere in here. Smells and feels like a cheap paperback romance novel. Have an okay day guys! Hope you all feel better soon." With that, she opened the door and dashed out into the pouring rain, slightly cursing at herself for forgetting about the envelope of cash on her back pocket. Hopefully they wouldn't turn mushy when she got home. She finally reached the bus stop, and got on to the next bus.

--

Celeste laid the roasted chicken on the wooden table, grinning to herself. She took her dad's liquor bottles off the shelves and placed them in a huge bag which she carried to her room. Locking her door, she shouted to her dad, trying to catch his attention. "Dinner's on the table! And guess what I've got!" Wade Atwell's steps came rushing down the stairs. Celeste could hear her father's footsteps a mile away. Seconds later he was banging on her door. "Celli, no! It was a joke!" Celeste chuckled and uncorked a bottle. "Too late! Already chugging!" After a poor attempt of drinking half of the bottle, Celeste gave up and went to sleep.

[[ Bye guys! Gotta go now. //Again// ]]

Carter gripped onto Lindsey tightly as she latched onto him, his teeth flashing in a wide grin as he spun the girl around. She'd been one of the few he'd kept in touch with -- her nurturing nature always being a grounding force when the going got tough during the Spring semester and a tequila-fueled phone call was in order. He'd ramble on about his life and nothing for a good hour until he crashed, but she was almost always there to hear him out.

He placed her down, taking a step back to glance her over. He crossed his arms across his chest and shook his head in confusion. "I don't get how a girl like you is single." He stated, his serious look growing into a smile after a few seconds. "When our first couple of marriages fall through, we'll be holding out for each other, yeah?" He said with a wink as he watched in the background as Nick walk off without saying hello.

"What's his deal?" Carter asked out loud; though, he knew the reason. He'd made no effort to share the events of the night they'd met with anyone and he figured Nick hadn't shared either; however, he wasn't in any rush to fill everyone in.
