  Always a creative and sensitive soul, Eleanor didn’t have the easiest time at school. Binomial formulas and endless vocabulary tests didn’t really pique her interest. She did love to read, mostly fiction, and enjoyed painting. When growing into her teenage years, she started to feel a strong urge to portrait a dear friend of hers as her smile made Eleanor’s belly tingle. It was about that time when she also realized that her other friends seemed to develop that same kind of emotional tumble around boys. During her school years, she tried to seal off that part of herself and go on dates with boys which was a bore for her most of the time.
  When she went to college in Toronto, it was the first time that Eleanor became more acquainted with the queer community and started to meet up with other female college students. She fully realized she was a lesbian during her first kiss with another woman at a bus stop, feeling a huge weight lift off her shoulders. Her first girlfriend, Olivia, dated her for six months but ended the relationship, because Eleanor would withdraw whenever Olivia got too close emotionally.
  During college, Eleanor had some casual relationships and directed her first indie movie, which won her a small award. After finishing her degree, she completed a couple of internships and worked at an ice cream parlor to pay the rent. Three years ago, she directed a larger film for a Canadian production studio, which gained her some prominence.
