She nodded and sighed quietly. “I will.... can you get tomorrow afternoon off? It’s her first game.” She reminded him quietly, frowning when he glared at her and turned away a little.

he smiled and watched her some. “I would have tied you to your bed... and pleasure you... until you begged for mercy and you you finally agreed.” He winked at her and her her close.

Pedro frowned and turned a bit away from her giving a nod "I'll see what I can do." he muttered before he got up and put his dishes in the sink going back up to bed

Max smirked some and and blushed light pink "Mmmm now I'm thinking maybe I should've said no." she said giggling softly

She frowned eventually getting the house locked up and the kids in bed before going up to pedro and pushed him down to lay on his front on their bed, straddling his hips, “talk... cause right now I have half a mind to make you go sleep on the damn couch.” She muttered massaging all the knots out of his back and shoulders.

He smiled and lay back, “mmm... maybe another time.. you care if I nap while you watch the movie?” He asked her quietly.

Pedro frowned some and groaned softly as she start the get the knots out of his back "Its just....so fucking difficult..." he muttered taking a deep breath "They're just kids Carmen...they aren't...ready for combat...and they'll be sent out soon enough." he said grunting softly as her hands hit a big knot on his back

Max nodded "Yes I do mister." she said jokingly before she kissed him gently "Just kidding, take a nap." she said softly before she turned her attention back to the TV

He smiled tiredly and held her close as he allowed himself to fall asleep, resting his head on her pillows and kept her close. About a half hour later his phone started going off with Lizzies name popped up but he kept sleeping.

carmen frowned some and kissed the back of his head. “And not until you sign them off for active duty. If they’re not ready then they’re not ready... I know this job is tough... but you chose this career Pedro... and you have to handle it... without bringing it home. Check in with your work councillor... cause I will not have my children scared of their father.” She told him seriously

Max heard his phone going off and frowned some seeing Lizzie's name flashing across the screen. She picked it up and shook Richard some "Richard...Richard wake up Lizzie is calling you." she said softly hoping it wasn't anything important.

Pedro frowned some and took a deep breath "Right.." he muttered getting up and going into the bathroom closing the door and taking a shower without another word to her, not even a goodnight.

Carmen frowned and bit down on her lip feeling sick to her stomach over all of it as she worried more and kore about him. She got up early in the morning to get the kids sorted sighing heavily as she found Pedro had already left for work and sighed quietly but got up and got herself together to sort the kids out.

Richard groaned some but took the phone and sat up a littlee; rubbing at his face. “Hey kiddo, it’s pretty late to be calling me, everything okay?” He asked pulling max in close and yawned some.

Javi frowned some not seeing his dad there that morning "Mommy where daddy?" He asked reaching up wanting cuddles. He looked very sleepy and pale today and he was completely drained as well

Lizzie frowned some as she heard him answer the phone "Uncle Richard?" She sniffled whimpering as she heard her parents yelling louder at eachother "Mommy and Daddy are yelling at eachother again...I'm scared." She whispered

Richard frowned some and sighed a little. “Lizzie sweetheart it’ll be alright I promise, I’m coming over tomorrow and I’ll see you then I promise, put your headphones on and listen to your stories okay?” He coaxed.

carmen frowned and kissed his head picking him up and held him close, “oh sweetheart let’s get you some juice.” She murmured. “Daddy went to work already.” She murmured “then we gotta go to that doctors appointment for you so we can get you all better.” She murmured kissing his head over and over worried sick about him.

Lizzie whimpered quietly but nodded some "They're really loud....and throwing things." She said as she heard breaking glass come from behind her door. Her parents had been fighting an awful lot lately and she didnt know why.

Javi nodded some and sipped his juice as she gave it to him "Mommy we have eggo?" He asked giving her big puppy dog eyes hoping they could have the toaster waffles for breakfast

“Try to get some sleep sweetheart okay? We can sort this out when I’m there tomorrow.” He promised and eventually coaxed her to go to bed, ending the phone call and looked at max sighing heavily. “They’re fighting. Again.” He muttered sighing heavily.

carmen smiled shaking her head. “We don’t have time baby. I hen we get back okay?” She murmured getting him snuggled on the couch to wait while she went up and got lily ready to go as well then took her to school and took Javi straight to his appointment, sitting quietly with him and let him cuddle close to her.

Max frowned some and shook her head a bit "Thats not good." She said softly before she cuddled up close and started falling asleep with him. When she found Lizzie at school the next day she could tell the poor girl had barely slept a wink and it broke her heart a bit.

Javi cuddled his mom close and kissed her cheek sweetly "I wuv you mommy, you bestest mommy ever." He cooed giggling as she tickled his tummy some

She smiled and kissed his forehead. “Oh you’re just saying that cause you want your toaster waffles.” She laughed, holding onto him though. “But I love you too mijo. We gotta get you feeling all better again huh?” She murmured feeling his forehead gently noticing he was warm again, getting up and carrying him in when their name was called.

Richard got into the work the next day and glanced across the locker room to see a face there he hadn’t in several years. “Peach? Man what are you doing in New York?” He asked him going over to Pedro a little shocked that he too had gone back to the military after they’d worked for private Contractors for so long together and lost touch once they were done

Javi nodded some and held onto her tight as they said his name. As the appointment went on like usual he sat still and did as told until they said they would need a few blood samples along with a few shots. He screamed and cried the entire time and once it was done he would not let go of Carmen at all.

Pedro looked over when he heard his name called and looked at Richard in shock. He was the last person he would have ever thought he'd see again "Madden? Holy shit man!" he said giving him a quick hug before he stood back "Training actually, got me runnin the pilots at base, what are you doing here?" he asked

“Went back to the Air Force after everything... stability for my little girl yknow.... got transferred here couple months ago.” He muttered. “Good to see you. We should catch up at some point.” He had no idea that the little girl he’d seen Lizzie playing with was pedros own daughter. He headed out quickly once he was ready to get to work.

Carmen frowned calling Pedro once she was finished at the gps office and had some advice for helping him feel a little better until they knew more and she was getting javi buckled in frowning some. “Hold on buddy, I’ll get you waffles when we get home okay?” She murmured “Hey. You left early this morning. We just finished with the doctors, they took a couple blood tests and they’ll know more soon but they’re thinking it’s not a simple cold so I’m gonna start looking at our insurance policy. Make sure all is good on that one... are you alright Pedge? I’m starting to get worried about you and if javi is really sick then, I need my husband there with me not a soldier about to have a mental break.” She murmured softly. “I’m here either way but I’m still worried about you. We’ll talk when you get home tonight.” She murmured.

Pedro nodded some "Yeah man definitely." he said before he picked up his phone as it rang frowning more as he saw Carmen's number. He listened to her and gave a heavy sigh shaking his head some "Keep me updated alright?" he murmured before he got ready to go do some training finally going to get into a plane today

Max called Richard at her lunch break smiling softly as she heard his voice "Hey, I just wanted to call and see how your day was going. I'm at lunch right now but if its not a good time for you its okay." she said softly to him smiling more as he assured her everything was fine

She hung up and headed straight home with her little boy taking him to the couch and had him curl up there with Pearl while she went to get them both some waffles, taking them to the lounge on a tray and helping him. “Do you wanna snuggle down here or in your room when you’re done? Cause we gotta go watch your sisters game after your nap.” She murmured.

Richard smiled and sat down to talk to her, rolling his sleeves up. “They’re just sending someone else up for a training session first before me so I’m playing the waiting game, hows your day going?” He asked her quietly.

Javi ate his waffles quietly and cuddled Carmen the whole time "You bed, I want to sweep wif you mommy." He said quietly before he gave a big yawn and started drifting off with half a waffle hanging out of his mouth

Max smiled happily and sipped her water a bit "Its going good, kids are doing well. Lizzie though...Richard the poor girl can barely keep her eyes open. She didn't sleep at all." She said worriedly giving a soft sigh. It was no secret that even before Richard had come into her life again that Lizzie was her favorite student and she had connected very strongly with her.

She smiled taking the one out of his mouth and took him upstairs to get a nap in, texting pedro to remind him about the soccer game that afternoon. By the time she got to it though pedro still wasn’t there and she had Javi curled up into her while she sat down cheering her little girl on and feeling heartbroken for her that her dad wasn’t there yet.

Richard sighed heavily. “I’ll talk to my brother tonight. There’s not much I can do right now Max... hey I gotta go but I’ll pick you up later okay? From your place. At five” He told her Smiling before he hung up and headed on to take his turn and go up in the plane seeing Pedro coming back from his turn grinning.

Javi cuddled Carmen close clapping here and there not fully understanding what was happening with the game but he smiled seeing Lily and tried to wave tugging on Carmen's shirt "Mommy! Mommy look Lily!" He said happily and gasped waving as he saw his dad come in half way through the game.

Pedro got to the game and quickly spotted Carmen going to sit next to her "Sorry I'm late....they had me up demonstrating." He murmured clapping as he saw Lily

Max sat at her place waiting for Richard that night. She was happy about how things were going and now that they had admitted they had feelings for one another she could only hope for a better time with him

Carmen smiled and kissed his head "I know she's doing so good huh?" She murmured, glad the coach had given her a chance but looked over when Pedro came in, "Hey, it's alright, they're almost at half time." She murmured to him and kissed his cheek, "I promised her Mcdonalds after this so we'll meet you at home.... Pedge, I'm glad you made it." She murmured and rest her head on his shoulder. Even if things weren't great right now she could always find comfort in him from everything.

Richard pulled up outside and honked to let her know he was there, waiting til she got out to the car and then took her to Jake and Nina's place, "Hey, rest of your day go well?" He asked her smiling some and reached across for her hand.

Pedro nodded softly giving a small smile "Alright sounds good." He murmured as he watched his daughter proudly. He was in a better mood today thankfully and soon he wrapped an arm around her and Javi keeping them close

Max went out to him and smiled softly as she got in the car "It was good, what about yours?" She asked giving his hand a squeeze as they drove to his brother's "So does your brother know about our ...whatever this is?" She asked not sure if she could call this a relationship or not

Carmen smiled watching all the girls go to have a snack at half time and glanced down seeing Javi was asleep again, gently brushing hair out of his face and kept him close frowning, "I'm so worried about him." She mumbled, holding onto him with her spare arm but said nothing more until the game was over and she stood up carefully, heading home and sending the kids to the kitchen with their happy meals before taking Pedro his order in the lounge and sat with him, watching him some, "Talk to me." She murmured softly and reached over, squeezing his hand.

He smiled some, "Kind of... Jake knows I've been seeing someone. a lot.... He doesn't know it's you." He murmured to her, "And what do you want it to be?" He asked her quietly, glancing over at her before returning his attention to the road.

Max nodded some and bit her lip some "I'd like to call us exclusive, I know I don't really want to see anyone else. I'd like to possibly call you my boyfriend, but I think you owe me a date before you get that title." She said sending him a wink and laughing lightly

Pedro sighed heavily and placed his food on the table squeezing her hand some "Worried about Javi, Lily too. I think we'll finally be able to get her the surgery she needs but if Javi is too ill that might change things." He murmured shaking his head softly

Carmen frowned some and nodded, "They uh..." She paused and swallowed back the lump forming in her throat, "They sent him to play for a bit during the appointment and they were saying that it's very possible with his symptoms that it's leukemia." She mumbled frowning some and bit hard on her lip, "I... I don't know where to even start if it is." She whimpered, "Our insurance is good for it through your work but... It's not fair on him." She whimpered as she started crying.

Richard smiled some and glanced over at her, "Well I haven't been seeing anyone else... Oh I do huh? How'd you figure that one?" He chuckled as he drove the rest of the way to his brother's house. "Oh I ran into an old friend today, had no idea he was stationed here as well though." He chuckled, "I think if I can I'm gonna introduce you to him and his wife, you'd love 'em. Couple of spicy latinos, Carmen and Pedro... But he was always called Peach on our job." He chuckled.
