Pedro gave a small nod and squeezed her hand tight before he started to nod off and fall asleep right as the doctor walked in "How did he seem?" He asked

Max put his shirt on and gave a small laugh cuddling into him "Mmm maybe in a little bit." She said softly before she kissing him gently "I love you." She whispered before falling asleep with him

She frowned some and ran a hand through her hair. “He thinks it’s 2010:.. he doesn’t remember our children.” She told him quietly and never took her eyes off Pedro. “He’s struggling to breathe.” She mumbled.

Richard smiled and kissed her head falling asleep with her and wit his arms keeping her in close to his chest as possible

The doctor nodded some and gave a heavy sigh "Do you have a photo album by chance? Sometimes looking at photos and telling him what happened can help memories come back." He explained

She nodded. “We we’re doing that. It’s not helped so far... but we will keep trying.” She mumbled frowning as she glanced over at him hearing a series of beeps that quickly turned to alarms as she watched him slip into a violent seizure, moving out of the way and swallowing back tears.

The doctor frowned and quickly called in some nurses getting her out of the way as they started to try and help him ouy

She watched from the side as they eventually got him settled again and she snuggled herself down into the chair near the bed for the rest of the night.

Richard woke up early to the sound of max and Lizzie downstairs smiling some and getting up, rubbing his head as he wandered down there to meet them “Morning girls.”

Max smiled happily looking at Richard as she cooked "Good Morning handsome, you sleep good?" She asked smiling more as Lizzie ran over to hug him

Pedro woke up in the morning and grunted softly "Ca...carmen.." he whispered out wanting her by him

She frowned moving to be closer to him and just sat on the edge of the bed carefully squeezing his hand. “Hey, I’m right here okay? I’m just gonna get you sat up.” She murmured, getting the bed raised and stayed close. “How you feeling José?” She asked him softly.

He smiled and nodded. “Yeah I’m feeling good.” He murmured softly to her and kissed her cheek, lifting Lizzie into his arms and sat down with her. “We gotta get you to camp real soon okay? Cause then I’ve gotta go for a medical and come back so I can sort out paperwork so you can live here.” He told her glancing over at max. “Can you come with me?” He asked her

Pedro frowned some closing his eyes tight "My head hurts." He murmured squeezing her hand some "Lay....lay with me." He said tugging her towards him.

Max nodded softly and smiled happily at him "Yeah of course, food is ready by the way." She said happily kissing him gently before she set plates out for everyone. She smiled softly she sat with them feeling like they were a family

She frowned and moved to sit with him. “You had a seizure in your sleep last night... You should know as well Pedge that Edgar isn’t with us anymore.... he passed away right before Javi was born... we have a German shepherd though. Her name is pearl.” She told him, turning the lights off so it wasn’t so bright in there for him, getting him some painkillers pushed into his system using the clicker button. “Do you have any questions?” She asked, trying to keep a little distance so he didn’t get so attached and think she was coming back to him any time soon.

Richard smiled and nodded, eating quietly while he thought everything over, waiting while Lizzie went up to get ready for her soccer camp and sighed quietly looking over at max. “Cmere.” He murmured reaching for her to sit closer.

Max moved to sit with him and kissed him gently "Whats wrong babe? Talk to me." She whispered running a hand through his hair kissing him again

Pedro frowned as she mentioned Edgar "Come here please..." he whispered pulling her hand some more "I want to go home babe, be with my wife." He murmured

She frowned biting her lip and stayed where she was. “Pedro... we aren’t married.” She told him gently to remind him but she couldn’t help but notice that he still had his wedding ring on. “And you’re not ready to leave the icu. Let alone go home.” She pointed out, pushing his hand down by his side.

Richard shook his head, his hands firmly on her hips and kissed her cheek. “Nothing wrong.... just wanted my beautiful woman closer. I didn’t like waking up to an empty bed.” He murmured tiredly.

Max gave a small laugh and nuzzled his cheek gently "Lizzie came in hungry so I wanted to let you sleep." She said softly smiling more at him "I love you Richard, so much."

Pedro frowned more at her shaking his head more "No....babe please Carmen...I need you." He whispered frowning more as he saw another man walk into the room "Who is that?"

Carmen frowned shaking her head. “Pedro stop it.... I told you, I’m here for help and I’m not gonna leave you on your own but we ARE divorced... and I’m with someone else.” She told him seriously frowning some seeing Charlie come in. “Charlie can you wait a minute this isn’t a good time.” She muttered rubbing her face, watching him go out the door again. “That’s my boyfriend... someone who has treat me better in the past couple months than you have in the past five years.” She told him but this was scaring her as well and although she didn’t mean to it just kept coming, she knew she wasn’t meant to be arguing with him but right now she couldn’t help it, ignoring his monitors as they started beeping a little louder and a little faster. “Charlie has never once questioned me on the idea that my children’s father is who I say it is. Charlie didn’t take money we had said would go to our son who NEEDED it and put it towards a procedure our daughter could have in five years time or more! And best of all Charlie actually cares about how I’m doing! When I come home he asks about my day and he goes and gets us drinks once in a while rather than always making me do it and he never expects dinner but is glad when it’s already there! I’m not a slave in my own goddamn house with Charlie!” She spat at him, now standing and shaking until she noticed how bad his breathing was and how he was holding his head, going to grab a nurse to take back to him then went to Charlie.

“Mmm.... I love you too.” He murmured. “I’m hoping I get cleared for a little kore than office work. I don’t want to be on active duty. I’m too worn down for that anymore but I don’t really want to stop travelling yet... for free that is.” He mumbled yawning some and kept her close. “Thank you by the way.... I never said thank you for spending so much time in the hospital with me and helping me out so much.” He murmured, playing with her hands a little until he heard Lizzie coming downstairs and he got up, going to get his shoes and keys so he could take her.

Max smiled softly at him shaking her head some "No need to thank me, thats what you do for the ones you love." She said softly to him. She smiled seeing Lizzie come down and started to clean up their dirty dishes "I'll see you when you get back." She said

Pedro frowned as he listened to her shaking his head some. He closed his eyes tight trying to remember it all but it was just hurtong him more. He listened to her yell at him and started to panic making his monitors spike as his heart rate increased and it started to become hard to breath "Car...Carmen..." he got out but she wasn't listening. He held his head in pain trying to make it all go away and soon a murse was in there to help but Carmen was no where on sight

Richard gave her a little salute and pecked her cheek then took Lizzie to the car and drove her down there. “What do you think about... spaghetti for dinner?” He asked her while he dropped her off.

Carmen held onto Charlie tightly, sobbing into his shoulder as people rushed in and out of the room. “I shouldn’t have yelled at him. I shouldn’t be... he doesn’t remember what he did wrong.” She whimpered shaking some “Charlie he can’t remember the last ten years.”

Lizzie nodded happily and kissed his cheek before she got out "Yes! That sounds yummy, will Ms.Wends be there?" She asked smiling some at him

Charlie hugged her tight to him and gave a heavy sigh kissing the top of her head repeatedly "Its okay, we'll make this work." He whispered

Richard chuckled “I think so. You know when you’re not at school you can just call her max.” He reminded her and sent her off, driving home.

Carmen frowned holding onto him tightly, shaking a little until they were allowed to go back in and she looked back up at him. “I don’t... you being here right now is t a good idea... I think that until he’s more stable you shouldn’t be here.” She mumbled frowning some and kissed his chin before going back inside and sitting next to the bed seeing he had a little more help now and they were monitoring him closer just sitting down and running a hand through her hair. “I’m sorry.... I shouldn’t have yelled at you.” She spoke after a long and awkward silence of him just staring at her while she stared anywhere but at him.

Lizzie giggled some and nodded before she left.

Max smiled softly at him as he came in "Hey handsome, whats up?" She asked softly stroking his cheek gently

Pedro said nothing as he listened to her. He turned his head away not knowing what to do anymore. He had lost her, she was with another man and he had never felt more alone in his life than he did right now

She frowned shaking a little and sat up more looking over at him. “Pedro.... this is what got us in this mess to begin with.... you blocking me out of everything. I’m not saying I’m jumping back into your arms but if you want us to all work at the very least as a family unit for the sake of the kids then you need to stop locking everyone out. I’m gonna go get the kids and... oh shit.... you don’t know any sign language do you?” She asked him gently.

Richard smiled and held her close, pulling her into him. “Mmm well I got my daughter home and I got my wifey in my arms. Life is pretty good right now.” He murmured and kissed her head

Max raise an eyebrow and smirked some at him "Wifey huh?" She said wrapping her arms around him and pecking his lips repeatedly "I like the sound of that."

Pedro looked back at her letting a few tears fall "No...I don't know sign language..and I'm sorry for blocking you out...I just...you're gone, I have no clue what happened, and I'm alone because I can't remember a single thing."

He smiled and nodded, lifting her up to hold her to him at a better height. “I’m gonna make you my wife one day. Better get used to hearing it.” He winked at her.

Carmen shook her head making him look at her. “Lily will teach you.... she’s a great teacher.” She promised. “They’re on their way right now alright? I know this is scary. I get it Pedge... but I already told you, I’m right here to help you through this okay? Just not as your wife, as your best friend.” She promised.

Max blushed and smiled happily at him "Mmm I will." She said softly kissing him again "I love you." She whispered nuzzling his neck some

Pedro frowned some and gave a heavy sigh "Alright." He whispered taking a deep breath as he stared forward at the door "Have you called my family?"

She nodded some. “Your sister is coming out and so I Lucas... your parents can’t get out of Cali right now but if they need to they will.” She told him gently getting him some water and passing him the cup while she looked to her phone, seeing the text from her mom to say she was with the kids. “You ready to meet your children?” She asked him.

“I love you too beautiful.... we should get going, they won’t take it too well if I’m late to this. Might think I don’t wanna go back to work.” He muttered yawning some and pecked her cheek, setting her down and went to get properly ready for the day this time before coming back down to her.

Pedro took in a shaky breath looking at her with worried eyes "I don't...I don't know.." he said honestly giving her hand a squeeze

Max nodded and finished getting ready before she left with him to the offices so he could get his physical done
