Exactly! no one wanted a next generation! We wanted a past generation! Explore all the Hokage Era's. The lesser ninja countries. Ninja politics! Reasone why im more lenient with the filler because it attempts to worldbuild

I was thinking our characters like a healer or support role character isn't going to be as strong as an attacker, but they can have more potential. If we went off of paper, I'd go to the wiki and look at those scores they were given in ninjutsu, taijutsu, hand speed, etc.

If we're talking about canon characters, my mind just blanked lol, hard to separate the ones that Actually have strength and potential vs the ones that got free passes for narrative purposes. Saw a meta once that argued Lee would have made a better protagonist, since he was an Actual underdog, and Naruto technically wasn't. Naruto never had to work all that hard to pick things up, he could master a technique in a fraction of the time it took someone else to; objectively, Naruto was prodigy material once he actually figured out his strengths. And he had the Kyuubi on top of that. Lee had to work hard for every ounce of his strength, and had no special inherent abilities. Also why I think Sakura had so much potential.

Aragi is one of the genin that stands out to me as someone with potential, particularly as a strategist. But everyone is so baby that it's hard to tell yet lol

I've always hesitated to play characters that rely on their intelligence and strategy because I feel that I need to be a genius myself.

Is anyone else reusing a character for this, or are you using a whole new character? Mine is an updated version of one of my very first OC's ever lol. I rp'd Naruto all through middle and high school and she was my main. But it's been a long time and I can't remember many details about the original version of her, so I figured I would take the opportunity to rework her into something fun.

My usual RP's now are more realistic and definitely a different genre from this, but Naruto is my ultimate nostalgia fandom so I couldn't resist this one. It's like rolling up in a warm blanket lol.

I create new characters for most of my roleplays unless one dies, and I really liked that character. Then, I'll try to repurpose them somehow.
