Also, I noticed that Finnegan serves Tyron, the kingdom Sarai is from. She's a captain for the Royal guard, so they might know each other

Yeah, that works. Her and him could have been asked by the king to go join the Slayers? Or maybe asked to so that they could, idk, do something for the Royal family. We could do a collaboration post if you wanted to.

Btw, she's the youngest currently employed captain (out of 4, the other three are much older), so she's a little unorthodox. And often she one sent on errands, and other important business.

We could say she had something to check on in Zorro, and while it doesn't require a large squad, the king didn't want her going alone. They notice the house request and decide, why not? Some personal cash is always good, and they can handle themselves.
