Fantasy Knights Of The Round Table | OOC

This is wrong! In the French Vulgate it states that his half sister Queen Morgoss (Morgana's sister and Gawain's mother) is Mordred's mother! Also, Arthur willingly slept with her, but did not find out that they were related until Arthur learned of his true parents around ten years later. Until then, he was known as a lowborn.
Yeaaaah.... Arthurian Legend man. We're bound to disagree XD

Birdsie Birdsie Do you think Merlin would take on any apprentices?
Sure, I guess.

I wasn't sure exactly how to write the latter parts of the backstory, since they highly depend on the one playing Arthur, but they remain subject to change, I suppose. In-fact, this whole CS is subject to change depending on what the GM ( _WastedYouth _WastedYouth ) sees fit.

About Your character

Personality | Merlin is a very pleasant, relaxed person. A rhetorician. Because of his origins, Merlin does what is in his power to use his innate gifts for good and swears them to the right cause. Despite that, he lacks a sense of responsibility and seriousness and remains very difficult to anger. He is a refreshingly righteous person, wanting to correct the wrongs of the world without judging others for their mistakes. Merlin has a bizarre aura to himself. Before him, people tend to end up letting the tension out of their shoulders. Merlin wants to avoid violence but doesn't shun to use it in the right conditions. On another hand, he is very boastful of his supernatural abilities.

Biography | The average God-fearing person would want to burn Merlin at the stake upon discovering his origins. Merlin's mother; Adhan was a nun, living in the chapel in the large, seaside city of Carmarthen. The fact that she had a son would be heretical by itself, however, it becomes worse when you consider his father. One night, she was visited by an incubus, a type of demon similar to a succubus that intend to impregnate mortal women and leave them pregnant with half-demon children known as cambion. Cambion are very capable in magic from an early age, however, they are all naturally aligned with evil and unholy forces, and most of them tend to swear their souls to Satan and his ruinous powers, then join their grandfather in Hell after selling their souls to him and becoming a new generation of demons. This, however, didn't go as intended. Merlin's mother was very quick to baptize him, and it is said that this act is what redeemed young Merlin in the eyes of God and saved him. Yet still, Merlin kept his magical powers.

Even as a child, Merlin displayed talent in the magical arts. Sometimes, things around him floated when he was a baby. Other times, pieces of cloth randomly set aflame. And sometimes, his mother left him unattended for just three seconds only to see that he was in another room.

When Merlin was 10, the city was attacked and witnessing the horrors of war, Merlin fled into the forests. Living there for several months, the young Merlin was found by a group of druids. After explaining himself to them, the druids accepted Merlin as one of them and continued to help him learn how to use his latent gifts properly. As he grew up, Merlin, or as they called him; Myrddin, became one among the best magicians in the local land, however, he left them to begin life anew in the city of Camelot when he was 15.

There, he worked as a sage, prophet, and even apothecary for several years, helping the people of the city until the king Uther Pendragon himself took note of the talented, youthful wizard on his land. The king sent Merlin an invitation to his castle, and Merlin was quick to accept. The king then offered Merlin to work as his advisor, and once again, Merlin was very quick to accept. Later on, Merlin helped Uther to have a child with Igraine as the king requested. After Uther's death, Merlin knew the only heir to to the throne was Arthur, who was previously placed in the care of Sir Ector. Merlin decided there was only one way. He crafted a sword called Caliburn, also known as the Sword of Kingship, or simply the Sword in the Stone. He declared that the one to pull the sword out of the stone is the rightful heir to all of Britain.

Then, all Merlin had to do was wait for the right person to give it a pull; a thing he knew would happen one day. But before that day, Merlin merely observed and joined Arthur's Quest at his side without telling him the full truth.

Weapons & Fighting style
| What is the main weapon your character uses? |
A large, wooden staff curved at the top. Good for bashing and channeling magical energy, but not for much else.
| Does your character have any secondary weapons? |
A small shortsword hidden under his robes. Merlin has no idea how to use it. It is simply there "just in case."
| What is your characters fighting style? |
Merlin always keeps his distance from the fight and avoids fighting in the first place. Should it come to it, he is most likely to cast spells to defeat his opponents.
| What are your character morals? |
Merlin doesn't have any strict code that he follows. He simply tries to judge a situation from a neutral viewpoint and acts accordingly in a way that he'd consider just.

Magic
| Can your character use magic? |
Yes.
| What is your characters main type of magic? |
Merlin is an adept alchemist and also has very potent knowledge in mysticism and material transmutation (enchanting.)
| Can your character use magic in battle? |
Yes, Merlin can reliably use magic in battle to protect himself or others, or harm... himself... or others...
| What is your characters power level? |
Intermediate

Armor
Merlin never wears armor, as he is not a knight in any sense of the word. Instead, he wears thick robes with a cloak and hood on top of them. Should he be going into combat, Merlin may reconsider wearing some chainmail on top of them.

Don't you love how a baptism, the thing that all infants went through, foiled the plot of Merlin being the Anti-Christ?

Well they weren't ALWAYS baptized. Satan just forgot to keep up with modern water technology, lmao.

About Your character

Personality | Galahad is a very quite and often shy individual. He does not speak out of turn and is respectful to everyone, even those that dislike him.

Biography | Though Galahad is thought to be a pure knight and a honest person, his conception and birth are the complete opposite. It all started with one King Pelles. The King was given the magical foreknowledge that Sir Lancelot, the greatest knight in the world, would give his daughter a child and that this little boy would grow to become the greatest knight in the world, the knight chosen by God to achieve the Holy Grail. King Pelles also knew that Lancelot would only lie with his mistress and one true love, Queen Guinevere. Destiny would have to be helped along a little; therefore, Pelles had to seek out one of the greatest enchantresses of the time, Dame Brusen, who gave him a magic ring could change a persons appearance. Now all the King needed was someone who could take on the appearance of Queen Guinevere and sleep with Sir Lancelot. And for this he chose his only daughter, Elaine.

Sir Lancelot and Elaine sleep together, but on discovering the deception, Lancelot leaves Elaine in a flurry. Lancelot returns to King Arthur's court, and does not here from King Pelles or Elaine of Corbenic for many years. The young Galahad was born and placed in the care of a great aunt, who was an abbess, to be raised at her nunnery.

Almost two decades later, Galahad was ready for his destiny. He traveled to his father, Lancelot, to be knighted and to join the Knights of The Round Table in Camelot. This is what he was meant for, after all.

Hey everybody. Sorry for my absence. I was in the hospital for a while with no phone, but I am better now! I will read over all of your characters and have feedback by the end of the day.

Also, I just want to let everyone know that there will probably be some days in the upcoming week where I will be going to and from the hospital, so don't be alarmed if I am not around. Its really hard for me to tell when I will be gone, they haven't gotten back about my appointments yet.

I also just wanted to touch on the plot a little bit, as some of you have already come up with profiles.

The base idea is that Arthur gathered some of his knights to go on a mission with him, and there are a lot of possibilities of what he could be doing. I was thinking the holy grail, or maybe even the lake, or maybe its to even recruit another knight? I have no clue... I would love to hear your ideas. :3

EDIT:

For my character, I was thinking of playing Morgen Le Fay or Arthur. I've been reading on Morgens backstory, and the versions of her that are out there and the one I am most fond of is Vita Merlini. Still not sure though. My idea for her was to have her start off good, and then have her develop into the evil character she is described as in most Arthur depictions.

Do you guys still need a Mordred?

I made Merlin with the thought that Arthur would be 15-17, but I am more than willing to alter it.
I mean depending on the plans for the RP I could hold off on making Mordred until it progresses. And until then I guess I could take a smaller character or something.

There is only one kind of Mordred we all love.
To be specific: This one.

So Arthur would be in his 20's then? I think we could use Mordred as a cousin, but waiting is totally up to you.
I can if you want but I was just thinking that illegitimate son is much better than cousin. And if Arthur is in his 20s then Mordred could start off as a little kid I guess or would he not have slept with Morgause/Morgaine/Morgan depending on whatever one it is.

What anime is that?!
Fate/Apocrypha. The Fate series are ALL about ancient heroes. The Fate series tells the tale of magi (mages, basically,) fighting each other in the Holy Grail War, a quest to obtain the Holy Grail; an ancient, omnipotent device that can grant any wish of the winner of the Holy Grail War. To do this, these 7 chosen magi summon 7 Servants; Heroic Spirits, or as they call them: "Heroes of legends past."

In other words, imagine King Arthur duking it out with Heracles and Medusa. This is King Arthur by the way. The anime has a thing for genderbending characters.
