Knight of the Night Kingdom [Boondox closed]

It hadn't taken Sam long to figure out what she wanted an slip it all together. In all she looked quite dashing, maybe dresses weren't her thing? No matter, Sam looked good with whatever she decided to wear anyway. Vincent was shocked when she came to stand next to him at the window, his hair pulled up an her neck exposed freely to him. A heavy sigh escaped past his pale lips an he turned to look at her "I know that but I just do not want to make it seem like that is the only reason I kept you around" He paused for a moment but when she insisted once more he didn't refuse.

Vincent took a step closer to her, the suns rays engulfing both their bodies as he reached out a hand to stroke her cheek an then cradle it, using his other hand to wrap around her waist as he made aim for the same puncture spots he had made last night. His fangs sank into the night before's wounds with ease an her blood came rushing to him once more, although this time he was more gentle, taking slow an soft drinks from her throat as his hand that cradled her cheek began to stroke it again lightly with his thumb.

The blood from her vein's was so sweet it almost sang to him as he slowly pulled away from her neck, although with a large feeling of reluctance as he kept his lips to her neck after his fangs were removed, his tongue reaching out to catch the few drops of her blood that ran down her neck. Vince then couldn't help but move his lips to press against her forehead lightly, almost as in a thanking gesture more than anything. Vincents hand released her cheek but his opposite arm still held her waist, not wanting her to stumble like in the dungeon.

She knew that was why he didn't keep her around, but she wasn't the only one who needed to eat. She sighed and watched him. He hesitated almost as he did last night. She sighed it didn't hurt last time, actually was a high she felt so euphoric. Sam stepped closer to him. The sun shone on both of them. Her eye's watched him with interest. She was almost begging him to bite her. She tried not to sound like she was begging him. Inside she knew she was she wanted that euphoric feeling again. Her life had been hard she didn't have much joy in it. It how ever did give her a lot of stories to tell.

When he stroked her cheek a blush came to them. Her breath was shallow as she watched him. She leans her cheek into his hand. She let out a small breath as he wrapped around her waist. Her body leaned into him. Her body went limp as he bit into her neck. Her eye's closed and she let him feed off her. He took slow soft sips from her this time. When his tongue lapped up the blood. She had goosebumps rise on her skin. Her hand wrapped around the arm holding her cheek. She let out a soft sigh and opened her eyes as he pulled away.

He planted a thank you kiss on her forehead. She held on to him to steady herself. She pulled up a cloth to her neck to stop it from bleeding down into her clean clothes. She was still feeling high on his bite. She hadn't moved away from him this time. She finally pulled herself up straight. "So what are we doing today?" She asked. She still hadn't moved from his grip the room was no longer spinning.

Sam couldn't figure it out. What was it about him that made her fall to pieces and allow him to drink from her. She had freely allowed him twice now. With a sigh she got her bearings."Think I might need some more water." She said to him gently.

As he had felt her hand on his arm once more he realized that she had embraced his bite this time with ease, she had no reluctance in his posture an she seemed to almost enjoy it. Vincent smirked as he felt the small goosebumps form on her neck as he had licked the small amount of blood that trickled from the puncture wound of his fangs. Vincent kept his face close to hers an he couldn't put a finger on it but this human had an odd affect on him but he would of been lying if he told you he didn't like the feeling's she gave him.

Watching her pick up the cloth to soak her blood with he was then surprised when she asked about the event's to be taking place today. with a light smile he stroked her cheek once more an let a small chuckle pass his lips "Well I have patrol to do around the castle grounds with a few newer knights if you wish to join me" He paused to look down at the floor an then back to her as he remembered another thing "Oh an also I need to make a trip to town to pick up a parcel for the queen, again you are more than welcome to join me" Vincent flashed her a devilish yet dashing smile as he still had hold of her waist.

Finally after a moment he released her from his gentle hold an moved to the side of the bed, a small closet door was next to the head board on his side, opening the door he pulled out his armor an started to dress himself for the patrol, the great thing was that it just went on over his clothes. it was always safer to have the armor even if it was just patrol. Once he had the body armor on he grasped his cloak an threw it on over the armor an he turned to look at Sam as he held out his arm "the knight's are probably at the stables already, are you coming?"

Vincent enjoyed her company an was hoping that she would come along with him on both journey's as he didn't really trust anyone in the castle with her being by herself for a fair amount of time.

Sam watched him and sighed. He was actually starting to grow on her. A soul sucking leech and here she was looking at him almost with a caring look. She held the cloth to her neck as the bleeding stopped. Sam listened to him talk about what he had to do for the day. She was surprised he had a lot to do for being the head knight.

He let her go and she sat on the bed. Sam actually went to lay back as he dressed in armor. She closed her eye's, Sam was still flying on cloud nine. The vamps didn't know there affect on humans when they bit them. She sighed and breathed. Sam enjoyed his company and didn't mind being seen by other humans with the vamps. Sam heard him speaking and tried to come back to the world around her.

"Hmm oh yeah. Ready to go." She said. Sam slowly got and looked at him. She pulled the clothe away. The bleeding had stopped. She sighed and took her hair down. Sam would cover his bite mark so that it wouldn't be seen and he wouldn't be tempted. Her neck hurt slightly and she knew she was coming back to earth. Sam put her cloak back on and sighed.

Sam walked with him out to quad below. She gasped."Ahh sun, I get why you guys dislike it" she said. Sam wasn't use to full day time. In the forest it was day but no sun got through. It hurt her eye's a lot. She put the hood up and hid her head. Sam groaned and pinched her nose as she got a slight head ache. She held on to Vincent as they walked. With the way Sam was acting you would think she was a vampire herself. Sam still felt slightly weak and light headed. Sam knew why he wouldn't let her stay in the castle. She was thankful he didn't,but bustling her after he fed was definitely hard on her not that she ever complain

Vincent pulled her along with ease as he finally got her outside, her reaction to the sun however was quite amusing an even with all the might he had, Vincent still could not stop the small chuckle that escaped through his barely parted lips "Well only certain vampires can even walk in the sun" Pausing he lifted his opposite hand an gestured to the ring "This is the only thing keeping me alive" With that they came to the stable where three knights were standing next to their horses, all saddled an ready to go, even Varok.

Vincent released Sam's arm an moved to take the reins from one of them, the newer recruit then recoiled to take his own horse from another. Vince cleared his throat an gestured to Sam "She is mine, don't get any reckless or stupid idea's.. Today is patrol and because you three are the newest it is best to start you off with something easy" Pausing a moment to scratch Varok's nose he then started again "Your horses are also new to the castle, work together and they will not fail you" With that Vincent clucked Varok into a walk, stepping out into the court yard.

Mounting up into the black leather saddle, Varok snorted an pawed at the ground, expecting another eventful ride similar to last nights. Vincent grinned an reached out to Sam once more, Varok turned to look at her an nudge his nose against Vincent's foot that was in the stirrup. The other three knights mounted up on their horses a few paced an chomped at the bit nervously, however Vincent knew that the new horses would settle once they knew to just follow Varok.

Sam looked at the ring and nods to him. She let out a small smile and sighed. Her breath hung in the morning air. Winter was coming. Meant hard times for all,but the vamps. Many of the ones at camp had lost lives and toes to the cold. They couldn't keep warm. The cold flushed her cheeks and nose under her cloak. She clung to him as they walked to the stable. She saw the 3 knights and stiffened slightly. Her trust did not extend to all vampires. Her hatred still burned, but nit for Vincent. Her gaze went cold as stone as she starred at the 3. Her instincts were screaming at her to run or attack, but she held herself next to him.

When he released her arm it took everything to not move into defense mode. She looked over at him when he said she was his. Being claimed didn't sit well with her. She was not property. Was that all Vampires saw humans as property. What in the hell was she doing here. Her brain was kicking in and her heart was beating. She had captured her friends for these leeches. She was reeling and ready to run, her heart was racing and her mind was screaming run. Her body however wouldn't move it just stood almost statue like .

She looked up when he held his hand out to her. Sam took it and pulled herself up on the Horse. Her heart had slowed. Her mind and body were now in sync she didn't want to leave him. In her mind she knew he didn't see her as a piece of meat or property. She just had to convince herself. She held on to him as he rode even though she wished to ride her own horse. She liked riding a lot. Sam watched as the road out of the gates. Her eye's looked out from under the cloak.

Her eye's took in the roads that they passed. She hadn't really seen the outside world in the light since she was a child. She breathed out. It was beautiful and very interesting to watch.

As they walked along the paths through the forest around the castle, Vincent began to let his mind wander, Varok knew these paths like the back of his stall so Vince lowered his rein an rested his hands on the saddle. Maybe he could buy Sam her own horse from town later? And he could let her pick it out.. She had proved that she was more than dedicated to him. A small smile played on his lips as the finally reached the back of the castle, Vincent glanced over his shoulder "Take in every detail boys, these paths will be your best friend when in combat, If we ever get ambushed, these trails will lead you out" Explaining carefully he also threw a glance down to Sam, making sure she knew as well.

Finally they had made the loop around the castle an as usual, nothing came up out of the ordinary so he let the guards cool off their horses am continue on with their day, Vincent however turned an clucked Varok into a smooth canter "I know a short cut to the city" Following the same path they started on, if you looked just barely you could see to your left where Varok and Vincent had made a small trail, just wide enough for a horse to walk. Varok snorted an pulled at the bit, his large elegant hooves struck the earth with such power. Finally slowing to a large gaited trot they made it to the main street just outside the walls of town, the stone pathway making the shoes on Varok's hooves click an clank against it noisily.

As they made their way into town, Vincent lowered his hands an sat hard in his seat and Varok slowed to a walk willingly. The post office and horse livery were almost next door to each other so he dismounted first and held out a hand to her, tying Varok to a small post next to the post office "Sam, I will be two seconds in here, will you go over to the livery and look at the horses?" Without another word he quickly moved into the large tent, that way she couldn't ask questions.

Sam held onto him as he walked around. She took everything in as they road around the castle on trails she saw him look back at her. She knew he meant for her to know the trails. She however knew the woods like the back of her hands. She breathed in and nods. She kept watching the scenery and her mind wandered to what she do now. She was the blood whore to a vampire, one she actually started to care for. She frowned deeply as she thought. Her thoughts got interrupted as Vincent told the other knights they were dismissed.

Sam watched the path. She wasn't surprised she was very good with detail. She heard the horses hooves hit the coble stone. She looked down her mind had wandered she was in town now. She saw humans looking at her, she sighed, great she was going to get the looks. Sam took his hand and got down from his horse. She went to ask him why. She sighed as he moved away from her quickly. She groaned and made her way to where he had told her to go.

Sam walked around looking at the horses. She stopped at a deep chestnut colored Arabian. She smiled gently and walked over. He stuck his head out and snorted at her. Sam smirked and pet his snout gently. She talked in docile tones to the animal and pet him. The horse laid his head on her shoulder gently. Sam jumped as a voice started."wow he is picky won't let any one touch him and here you are petting him." The man said. Sam looked at him really,"He is well built, over a year old and is sweet as pie."she said."may I try riding him?" She asked. The man nods."Be my guest if he bucks you off I am not liable." He said. Sam lead the horse to the coral and pulled her self up on the horses back. She clicked at him to walk. The horse then walked, her next click was a canter then the next was a gallop. She was riding bare back and perfectly. She slowed the horse with a gentle pull back. She slipped off and smiled."Good boy." She said giving the horse an apple."you just don't know how to deal with this breed of horse " she said she checked out his hooves and muscles."well who ever takes him is getting a perfect horse." She said and the horse nudged her. She turned laughing petting him.

Vincent had not been long an was outside putting the parcel in the saddle bag an was glancing over at the coral, she had made it pretty clear she had a thing for Arabian's. The queen's orders for the knights were to have only Frisian horses an that was what Varok was. Grasping the rein's to his stallion he then put a hand into his pocket, pulling out a fair amount of money an slowly trailed over to them, trying not to be noticed. Varok followed behind at an easy walk, his head low an breathing quite calmly. Vincent looked down at him to smile lightly an scratch his forehead before he then turned back to the man who was in charge of running the horse livery.

"Excuse me, I would like that horse" He gestured toward Sam and the Chestnut, he then held out his hand of money and let a sly grin play on his face "Name your price" With that he stepped closer an Varok lifted his head to rest it on the railing. Vincent grinned an shot Sam a look before he glanced around the man and noticed a fine white bridle and saddle, a black pad would make those pop. Vincent looped the reins around the railing an moved to pick up the saddle and bridle, along with a simple black pad "I'll take these as well" The man smiled an eagerly looked down at the wad of cash hanging from Vincent's hand "Alright fifty for the gear and the horse" When Vincent handed over the money, the greedy man retreated into his tent to hide it. Vince moved into the coral and placed the pad on first then the saddle, tightening the straps as he then slipped the bit into the chestnut's mouth and slipped the rest of the bridle onto his head, holding out the reins to her "Here you go"

Varok snorted an perked his ears, reaching out his nose toward the Arabian an Vincent smiled, walking to the rail to scratch his large head "Easy buddy, your still my number one" With that he moved around the coral to open the gate an he went to Varok, climbing into the black leather saddle an lifted the reins over Varok's head, the large brute bobbed his head an snorted, pawing the earth signalling he had just about enough of the city an wanted to get back to the castle grounds. Vince grinned but then his face went still as he glanced up toward the center of town, two rogue vampires could smell her. Vincent turned in the saddle to face her "Ride Sam!" With that he drew his sword an Varok reared up, the two Vampires hissed an crouched. Vince kicked Varok into a trot as he grasped Sam's reins "Come on! No time for waiting" With that he kicked Varok into a gallop, back toward the castle an he dragged the chestnut along with him, hoping Sam would tell him to let go an she could ride on her own because it would be difficult to fight if he had to hang onto her horse.

Sam had been talking to the horse as she pet him. He was good and sweet. Her gentle touch on his neck. She kissed his nose."What I wouldn't give to take you home." She said gently and quietly to the horse. She started to lead the horse to the coral gate to put the horse in his stall when she saw Vincent. He was getting her this horse. She was surprised, he was actually allowing her to ride a horse.

Sam watched him stunned as he got her a bridle, saddle pad and saddle. She watch him pay and wanted to ask him why he had done this for her. She cleared her throat."Thank you." She said as he went to put the things on the horse. Her horse started to freak out as Vincent came near him. She sighed and calmed the horse. As Vincent fixed the saddle. Before she got on she tightened the saddle and took the reigns from him. She knew how to ride perfectly fine, she didn't need help they were out of the coral when she saw Vincent's face. Sam turned her head to look she saw two Vampires, that didn't look like they were from the royal family or served them.

They had taken off, Sam looked behind her."I got it." She said taking the reigns from Vince. She kicked her horse into a gallop and followed Vince along the trials. She ducked limbs and branches of the trees. She looked behind her,her heart was racing. She had her bag with her. She rummaged for a weapon against them. She found a silver cross dagger and held it in her right hand. If anything attacked her she be ready. She kept looking around as she kept up with Vince. She hated being a vulnerable human. She put him and her life in danger even venturing outside the castle. She felt something come at her from the side. She let out a small gasp as she rolled to the ground. She let out a small gasp as she rolled into a rock.

Sam groaned and saw tao figures coming for her. She grabbed for her dagger. She found it a few feet away from her. She turned and impaled one of the rogue vamps in the heart. She had done this so many times with so many vamps that it didn't gross her out. She pulled it out and watched the vamp turned to dust. Sam looked for the other, she turned almost to late the other was heading straight for her. She didn't have time to defend herself. This was it,she was dead. She was thinking to her, till she saw a shadow intervene. She backed up a bit on the ground. Her adrenaline wearing off and the cuts and bruises starting to sting. Sam put a hand to her head and pulled her hand away covered in blood. She reached for her bag to take out a cloth and wipe up the blood. Sam felt like her movements were like moving through water. Everything had slowed down for her.

Vincent Kicked Varok with his outside leg an yanked on the opposing rein, hearing the thud of bodies colliding onto the forest floor. Varok spun an Vince drew his sword, specially made to kill his own kind as well as others. As he was galloping back toward her, the chestnut had went flying by him. At the sight of her killing one on her own made him feel a little better but as he glanced ahead of her he gasped an pulled his feet from the stirrup's an yanked back on the reins "WOAH Varok" The stallion slid to a stop an it sent Vincent flying forward, sword out in front of him the two bodies collided in a ball of clothing materials, Vincent's cloak began to rip on the bottom. As they finally stopped rolling and snarling, he quickly and emotionlessly struck the Vampire in the heart with his sword, not getting a better look at it the blade was black an had red design's all the way down it, the handle was a mixture of gold and silver with a large black gem stabbed into the center.

The vampire let loose a cackle before it vanished into the air as dust an Vincent let loose a sigh, turning to see her he then rushed to her side, placing a hand on her shoulder "Sam, SAM Your not hurt are you?" Concern lit like a flame in his eyes as he looked her over, placing his odd sword back at his side. A low growl erupted in his throat an he glanced around "We aren't far from the castle" Looking to Varok he was surprised when he noticed the little Arabian stallion had ventured back to stand next to Varok, the two grazing quietly. Vincent held out a hand an smiled lightly "It doesn't look like anything to serious, lets get you back to the castle to rest" He clucked to Varok who calmly walked to his side an he smirked as the chestnut followed as well "Looks like your new horse trusts Varok enough to stick around" With that he waited to help her up into the saddle once again.

Vincent however was not impressed an was going to be speaking with the king and queen immediately after they returned and he got Sam settled into bed to relax. Finally they had reached the castle an a few of the guards were watching them, seeing as how Sam was pretty beat up and Vincent who had the bottom of his cloak torn a bit. Vincent's eyes landed on Lucius "Here get the horses settled please" For once his voice was calm and gentle, Lucius nodded and then turned to lead the horses inside but waited for Sam to dismount, Vincent holding out his arm to her.

Sam was dazed her head hurt a lot and she saw Vince kill the other vampire. She heard Vince calling her name. She felt a bit out of it. Her vision slightly blurry. He asked if she was hurt. She nods and keeps her cloth on her head. The castle wasn't far from where they were. She got up with his help and let him help her onto her horse. She put the hood up on her cloak as they road back to the castle. Her horse had stated with his. Which thought interesting. She would have to name her stallion sooner or later.

They got to the castle and Vince helped her off her stallion. She heard his gentle tone and sighed. She leaned into him as he lead her to his room. She shook her head and said to take her to the bathing room. She used the glass as a mirror to wipe the blood off and clean herself up. Sam allowed him to lead her to his bed. She laid down with a sigh and closed her eye's. It felt nice to be laying down.

"Thank you." she said to him and got comfy in his bed. She had kicked her shoes off and fell fast asleep. Her body was screaming in pain. She woke later in the evening to a cool touch. She jumped awake and grabbed the hand. She looked panicked, but stopped seeing Vince."It's you thank the stars." She said and sat up leaning on the head board."How long have I been asleep?"she asked him and gave him a small smile. Her head and body were screaming at her.

Finally once Sam had gotten to sleep was when he got up to leave and closed his door behind him, taking a key out of his pocket to lock the door silently. If Sam was that delicious to them out in town he didn't want to know what some thought of her in the castle. Moving swiftly and silently down the hall way he pulled up the hood to his cloak, trying to seem as invisible as possible. No one looked at him until he entered the throne room, both the King and Queen were surprised to see him, yet the queen welcomed him with a gentle smile and soft kind words "Vincent, our best Knight of the castle.. you look troubled" Vincent took in a deep breath before pulling his hood down to face them.

"My marked was attacked today in town, The Rogue's are getting more reckless" Vincent glanced to the floor before looking at the king "I know you both wish for me to keep my eyes on getting as many human's as I can, and I am trying but I need help as well" His face grew firm and straight, folding his arms over his chest "I have done everything you both have ever asked of me and I am grateful to you both but please, we must strike back to lighten the rogue numbers .. If we don't they will attack the castle" The Queen and King exchanged worried glances an even though they didn't want to risk losing any of their own men they really didn't have much of a choice. The king stood and clasped his hands together, both dark eyes stared a moment before he let loose a sigh "Vincent we don't even know where they are hiding yet, As of now you are to find out where they are hiding and when you do is when you can strike"

Vincent nodded in agreement, that was fair enough for him. Turning on his heel he lifted his hood once more to make his way back to his room through the dimly lit halls. Many of the workers were out doing their own things at night but still Vincent had no use for anyone recently. Glancing out a window as he climbed the winding stair case he frowned, the moon glistened against the glass, had he been talking to them that long? With that he quickened his pace up the stairs an unlocked the door to his room, a soft relieved sigh escaped him as his dull eyes fell onto Sam who was still motionless in his bed. Closing the door behind him he removed his cloak and shirt and started a fire, only after that did he move to go sit next to her, a cold hand reached out to stroke her cheek an he smiled when she woke, at her question of her sleep he merely chuckled lightly "You slept quite awhile but it's alright I needed to report to the King and Queen anyway" Vincent's thumb still stroked her cheek as he leaned down to plant a soft kiss onto her jaw line before he moved to glance out the window "Many of my race are starting to think I am growing soft" He spoke quietly an let a small chuckle escape him as he turned to look at her with soft eyes "However I haven't cared for someone in a long time Sam" Vincent wasn't really sure what he was trying to say, it was just rambling out of him.

Serena sighed and enjoyed his touch. She felt her blood almost jump as he kissed her jaw line. She breathed in and out. She watched him move away from her."You soft,I think not, after that whole killing your own kind in cold blood. Yeah that isn't soft." She said. She stopped looking at him. Was he saying he cared for her. Sam got out of bed slowly even though her body was screaming at her not to. She walked over to him."I think your saying you care for me even though I am a human. You want to convey that I am not just a walking feed bag for you is that." She said. Her hand trailed across his skin.

Sam sighed."I must confess that. I didn't think any one could care for the rebel girl or the rebel girl care for someone. I guess what I am trying to say is I care for you." She said and took a deep breath."and I don't just see you as a leech any more." Sam said with a smile."I see you actually as a someone." She said and sighed. She sighed,"I been thinking,me being mortal makes things harder for you." She said."why not make things easier and turn me?" She asked him. Sam wasn't trying to make him mad she was curious.

It was seconds before she was pinned to the wall by him. She hadn't been afraid to be near him till now."Look I didn't mean to upset you."she said. She watched him wide eye's. She wanted him to be okay. Sam breathed shallowly as she watched him. Was he mad?was he curious? She couldn't be sure. Sam's heart was beating out of her chest it was moving so rapidly. She tried to slow it down. She knew he could hear it."Just forget I ever asked." She said.

Vincent growled as he held her against the wall, how dare she want to be one of them? He was a monster! He would have given anything to be able to live a normal life. As he brought himself back to reality he noticed the fright that was present in her features an he let loose a slow sight an his grip loosened, his lips fell to her jaw once more an he left soft, cold kisses down to her collar bone before he pulled his face back to look into her eyes "I am not angry, more confused than anything Sam" He paused a moment before he reached a hand up to stroke her cheek "And yes, I care for you, that is what I was trying to say" The words felt awkward to say an it made him feel slightly good at the same time to be able to admit such a thing. His dull eyes looked to her lips an he looked back up to her eyes "I want to try something but do not make any sudden movements .. This is a big step for me an I do not wish to lash out you, your scent is already tempting enough" With that he closed his eyes an slowly but still firmly to hers, a single arm wrapped around her waist to pull her closer.

Once the kiss ceased an he pulled his face back ever so slightly from hers he smiled slightly, it was more of a grin "I got angry because I see myself as a monster ... I would not want the same fate to come of you" Vincent kissed her cheek before moving to the bed to sit down, slipping his shirt off to let the small fire dance against the silver colored chest of his, he let his eyes fall on Sam, would she be angry? Why would she want to be one of them? At first she wanted nothing to do with him? Vincent held out a hand to her and spoke in a soft tone "Sam, You are the strongest human I have ever met and It lets me know that not all of you are weak, I wish I did not need to hunt your kind but If I refused the king and queen would banish me from the kingdom an I would forever have a bounty on my head" Vincent tried to explain this carefully and thoroughly enough so that she could understand and not get angry with him for hunting her kind, sure they were his food but they were not animals, they had families and children.

Vincent stood and kept his mind racing, maybe it would be best to leave? Live a life of freedom and happiness? No longer need to witness the faces of the weak and injured because of his doing. Vincent glanced to the sword that was laying on the floor next to his door, what would life be like without all the events of the castle? No more rules to hold him back from doing what he wanted? .. Maybe that was what the rogues were fighting for? Vincent sighed an ran a hand through his hair, maybe he had chosen the wrong side?

Sam squeaked as he held her tightly his grip hurt and she was sorry she even asked. When he had slammed her to the wall she had hit the back of her head. She winced at the pain. His grip kept her from checking if there was blood. She normally wasn't scared of him. She didn't want to show it but being without anything and a pissed off vampire had her pinned it was slightly freaky. He calmed down, she saw it in his face. She watched him, with a slight gulp. His cold lips went and kissed her jaw line softly down to her collar bone. Her initial reaction is to lift her neck to allow him better access it was almost a knee jerk reaction. Her mind didn't think it just moved her body to allow better access for the thing she was craving and new he was craving. She sighed as he paused and caressed her cheek. Her blue eye's moved to his eye's. She saw him looking at her lips. He told her not to make sudden moves and she nodded slowly. Her body was still pressed to the wall. She didn't want him to be confused and to here from his own lips he cared for her was nice to hear. She watched him and nods she stay perfectly still she was a little freaked out. She let him kiss her. She closed her eye's as her lips moved in time with his. She didn't move her hands so it was slightly awkward for her.

When he pulled away Sam slowly opened her eye's and looked at him. She watched him with a small smile. She stayed against the wall to just listen to him speak. She nods as he said he didn't want the same for her. She bit her lower lip and let him kiss her cheek. Her eye's followed him as he sat and removed his shirt. She looked down and away from his figure. She slowly put one hand through her hair to check the back of her head. She pulled her hand away happy to not find blood. She wasn't angry or upset. She just didn't know what to say to him at the moment. She looked up as started to speak again. Her chin was lifted proudly as she seem to resort back to when he first met her. How ever it was just how she stood. She stood tall head up and always had a defiant look to her. She raised her eye brow was he serious about that. She never thought a vamp admit they didn't want to hunt humans. Sam licked her lips and watched Vincent.

Sam still was unsure what to say. She couldn't make him choose her over the king and queen. She heard a knock and her sharp eye's went to the door."Sir the King and Queen here to see you and your pet." A servant said. Sam watched the servant leave and two figures take his place. She saw the Vampire King and Queen enter his chambers. She glared at them."Vincent aww good we came to ask if we could use your little rebel blood whore for the banquet. Have other vampires feed off her pale flesh. If we kill her it won't be a big deal you can get another little pet. One much better looking." the Queen said."You don't have to,but why would you want to keep it around." The King said. Sam was ready to jump and slit them in the throat her eye's moving to his sword and then them. She glared at them."I am not a Blood whore and you are not royalty. I do not serve you or your kind." She finally snapped. The queen walked over grabbing her throat."fiesty blood whore how you will be fun to kill." She said. Sam grabbed for something to stab her with. She finally reached for her hair dagger and stabbed her in the arm. She pulled it out as the female Vampire shrieked and stepped back."Better get that thing on a tighter leash next time I see her or I will kill her for the slightest wrong move." The Queen raged

Vincent had a smile on his face but as the king and queen entered the room, everything escalated quickly. The queen was asking to have her? Sam? Why? Vince snarled an jumped in front of Sam as he glared at the two "No, Sam is not up for blood from anyone but myself.. You gave her to me an I am not interested in giving her back" With that he looked to the king "Please remove yourselves from my room, I was enjoying myself for once in this bloody castle" With that the guard outside his door stepped in an raised an arm "My royalties, let us exit now before we get out of hand" The guard exchanged glances with Vincent, knowing he couldn't order them out for he would have his head taken clean off.

Vincent snarled as the queen spun on her heels an marched back toward the throne room, the king however shot a look to Vincent before growling low in his throat, a warning to Vincent an he then slammed the door shut behind him. Turning to Sam, Vincent sighed softly an glanced to the window, before moving to the closet, finding a large saddle bag he then began to throw in some of his clothes "Sam this is going to shock you, but we are leaving.. Get your things" After he had packed enough clothes to last him at least a week he then began to put on his armor "We probably wont be getting out of here without a fight" He then grasped the keys on his table "Take these, save your friends, let them go"

Vincent took in a deep breath an walked over to her "You are no longer safe with me ... Take your horse and your friends and go back into hiding.. Sam you have given me a new hope for this world, and the way we do things" Vincent quickly pulled her into an embrace, holding himself together as he did not want to surprisingly bite her. Leaning down to press his lips to hers once more, this time he took her hands an put them on his shoulders as he then wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her close, his other hand stroked her cheek softly. Vincent did not want to release her but he knew because she was marked by him, he could easily find her, but she was safer away from him.

Sam was surprised as he moved quickly and told her to pack her thing's. She grabbed her bag and packed it up. He picked up his key's and told her to take it and save her friends. She would, but did this mean he was releasing her of her command with him. "No longer safe? I am safer with you then I am any one." She said. She couldn't wrap her mind around it. When he pulled her into an embrace. She shook her head no. She didn't want him to leave her. She kissed him back and looked at him. She wrapped around him,"Please don't leave me." She begged him. Was she really begging a blood sucker to not leave her. Maybe she was a blood whore. She shook her head and looked at him.

She stepped back and sighed."see you again?" She asked him. She didn't want to leave him. He however seemed to have made up his mind. She stepped up and kissed him one more time. She nods to him and put her hair dagger back into her hair. She grabbed her bag and went to the door and peaked out. Sam went down with him to the dungeon and that was where they went there separate ways. She went to save her friends, she unlocked them, at first they didn't trust her then they cane around. She threw them there stuff and they snuck to the stables."come on," she said. She knew Vincent would have made a path for them to get out. She took her horse and ride. She was wiping her eyes as she rode. She didn't notice a vampire come and side swipe her.

Sam woke to voices, she slightly groaned. She rolled over to her stomach coughing and breathed. She looked around she was in the dungeon her hair was down and she was in a black floor length dress. All her things were gone her feet touched the cold marble ground. She stood and limped to the cage bars. She felt a shackle around her foot. She tried to pull at it and slowly fell to the ground. She curled up till she heard the door open and a vamp came to unchain her. They dragged her to the throne room and chained her up. The queen smirked, and looked at her."you are now mine, you will do as I say or we will find Vincent and kill him. I just wanted you. You will be our entertainment and will give your blood to whom ever we choose willingly. Now sit there and soak it all in." The queen said. Sam sat with her legs under her. She wrapped her arms around her torso and hid her hair. She sniffed and nodded yes, she wanted to protect Vincent.

Vincent had felt a huge pain in his heart, his gaze was firmly set on the path a head, the night was cold an he couldn't help but hear her voice repeat through his head "Please don't leave me" If he could cry, he would have been. As he continued down the path he had a weird feeling in his stomach, the hood of his cloak was up to conceal his face. Finally after awhile of riding he glanced around, a small clearing was good enough for him for now, setting up camp he then rested himself.

Dull eyes shot open as he glanced around him, it was odd not to feel her warm blooded body against his own. Finally he sighed an shook his head, it had been a mistake to leave her on her own ... especially when she hadn't wanted it that way. Vincent stood and looked to Varok who was greedily eating the tall deep green grass that was around them. Packing up his camp he looked a Varok who seemed to sense his distress and also pulled his head up from the grass to look at Vincent. A small smile played on his face "We need to find her Varok" With that he mounted up an closed his eyes, concentrating. However he frowned a little when he could only sense cold from her, he glanced down at the forest floor "Come Varok I will follow her scent" With that he kicked Varok into a canter.

It had been a bit of time but when he finally reached his destination he was more that angry, it was the castle. Dismounting Varok in the dense tree line he pulled the hood up on his cloak and hopped into a crowd of royals heading into the castle, although he knew the guards wouldn't have been an issue outside. As they entered he quickly made a b-line for the shadows, his cloak making it easy for him to hide. They were not far from the throne room when he could hear the king and queen talking about the chosen subject for their banquet. Peeking his head in he then growled, they got her.

Vincent took in a breath to calm himself down before he moved to hide once more, watching the events. Sadly he would have to wait until they released her from the shackle to feed before he could really make a move, he didn't have the keys anymore and it would be too risky, too many vampires at once.

Sam was hauled out in front of the other vampires and thrown to the ground and her ribs were cracked and she couldn't move with out pain shooting through her. She groaned and tried to sit up. She looked around her and let out a small whimper of pain. Sam was un shackled. She lay on the ground, she wouldn't tell them where Vincent was so they broke her ribs."One last chance where is the traitor?" She was asked."I don't know he left me and the others." She said. The knight picked her up by the hair."You expect us to believe that he just leave his little pet behind.?" He asked. Sam let out a screech.

"Yes I swear he left me behind I don't know where he went." She said. They laugh and he tossed her aside. She laid on the cold floor and coughed."so he just left you, he didn't want something like you." He smirked. The queen stopped him and stood."go a head take her and drain her, she is of no use to us." The queen said. Sam struggled as she was picked up."no please no. Stop please." She begged as she was dragged off. She tried to get free the doors closed and the vamp holding her and dropped her. She let out a small whimper and trued to crawl away. She was clawing at the ground and trying to get away. They dragged her down the hall and she let out a scream.

Sam was strapped down and she shook her head "No please," she begged she felt fangs in her wrist. She tried to move, she sighed and closed her eyes and whispers."I am sorry Vincent, I love you." She muttered, she relaxed her body and gave in to the bite. She felt fangs leave her and growls. She couldn't stay conscious any more. Sam woke to the sounds of fire cracking and leaves under her body. She looked around, was she dead and this was her heaven. She moaned and moved her head to look over at the figure across the fire her eye's still blurry."where am I? I am dead? Who are you?" She asked. She couldn't see that it was Vincent. She moved to sit up and groaned."I thought pain went away when you died." She muttered

Vincent had been growing more aggravated as he watched the scene play out in front of him, his hand clenched the wall as he stayed in the shadows, knowing very well they would drain her dry in a more secluded area. Once the guard started to drag her away was when he followed, but at a fair distance so that if need be, he could avert his course to make it seem as though he were not following. Once they reached the destination, Sam was strapped down an the vampire leaning into her wrist, that was when Vincent pulled the hood of his cloak down an he growled, the other vampire released sam to turn on him.

The battle was not long, for the guard was reckless with lust of Sam's blood. The guard lunged forward and Vincent was fast enough to reach his sword at his side and swing it upward, connecting with the chest of the guard, glaring into the other vampires eyes, Vincent grasped his throat with his free hand and pulled him forward "She will always be mine" With that he twisted the blade as it entered his chest an was sticking out through his upper back. As the blade twisted, the guard became limp an that was when Vincent pulled the blade free, grasping a torch that hung on the wall he dropped it onto the body, that way no one would know how he had really been killed. Moving to Sam he cut her free with the sword an lifted her into his arms, heading down into the cellar to exit out through the back of the castle without being seen.

Once outside, Vincent pulled the hood of his cloak up once more an he let out a soft, yet bird like whistle and Varok came trotting lightly around the side of the castle, lifting her up onto Varok, Vincent got up behind her, knowing all the guards were inside he kicked Varok into a trot. Nearing the stable he let Varok stand in the middle of the barn, Sam unconscious and leaning down on his neck, Vincent saddled her Arabian and grasped her belongings that were next to the stall, stuffing them into the saddle bag he then tied her horse to Varok an climbed up behind her once more, the two horses now cantering out of the stable and out into the night, their legs pushing through the dense forest below.

They had been far enough away at this point that Sam's scent would have been very faint and the wind would have made it scattered an would have more than likely made the castle guards efforts to find her almost impossible. Vincent has gathered a large amount of leaves before he pulled her down from Varok's back an gently placed her on the ground, although Vincent kept her Arabian tied to Varok as he knew Varok would not wander off. It hadn't been long before he heard the soft groans of Sam an his eyes shot up from the fire to look at her, Her words made him chuckle as he moved to sit by her head, a gentle yet cold hand reached down to stroke her cheek "No, Sam you are not dead, thankfully" As he gazed down at her, the flames bouncing off her fair skin and her cloak that he had put on her. Vincent had also stolen a blanket or two from the castle the night he left. As she sat up, Vincent placed a hand on her back as though to steady her "Well your not dead yet so you better snap out of it" Chuckling once more he then leaned in to peck his lips lightly to the top of her shoulder "I shouldn't have left you, It was a mistake an I am sorry" Vincent then glanced to the fire, guilt seemed to sweep over him now.
