The world had been in good times and now it was thrown into the dark ages. In these dark times the world was run by Vampires. The King and Queen of the Land were known as the Dark King and Queen. Any humans were either used as blood banks or they were rebels fighting against the vampires and trying to get human rule back.

There was a small village near the kingdom was small and there was a law that no one was out after dusk. It was how the vamps got there next feeder as they called it. In the woods not to far from the village was the rebels camp. Inside this camp were the unwanted teens or the ones that didn't like the Vampire rule.

One if the girls was sneaking around at dusk as she went to steal some supplies for the camp when she was caught and dragged to the castle. She sat in the dungeon and shook with fear. The vampires were hopefully not going to kill her. She paced the dungeon cell biting her lip, she was trying not to show how nervous she was though she was sure they could smell it. She stopped when she heard a male voice. She didn't want to turn and look at him.

Vincent had been roaming about the castle, his arms folded across his chest when a guard came an found him wandering the halls of the castle. His heartless eyes turned to glare, his light colored hair swayed at the quick motion. Vincent had been one of the castle's main knights an was always informed of new additions to the castle. Raising an eye brow he nodded an waved the guard away. Heaving a heavy sigh, Vince pulled the hood of his cloak up to conceal his face an almost silver skin as he headed down toward the dungeon.

He stood in the shadows for a few moments, studying her an chuckled lightly as she seemed uneasy an frightened. Stepping out into the dimly lit hall he spoke out to her, his tone deep an husky "Well aren't you a pretty one, such a shame however that the king an queen are the ones to seal your fate" Vince kept a fair distance from the cell, not removing the hood from his head as he stood perfectly still, waiting for her response.

The girl turned to the voice and swallowed even though she was scared out of her mind. She bit her bottom lip her hazel eyes were on the green side today. She lifted her head and gave a sharp look. "Your King and Queens punishment will mean nothing. So do your worst leech." She snapped. She slammed her palm on the bars.

The girl was actually starting to get pissed her fear leaving her body."I do not adhere to your laws. Nor do I like your kind. You have no claim to this kingdom or the next." She said. She wanted to get out of here. She had fire and spirit. She knew the rebels wouldn't come for her. If you were caught by the vamps you were caught.

"Just let me out will make a truce and go our separate ways." She said. She was trying to bargain her way out if this.

A deep rumble surfaced from his throat into a dark chuckle, his eyes glancing down to the floor until her palm came into contact with the steel bars an he shot his head up to glare at her, moving closer to wrench his own wrist through the bars an grasp her wrist. Vince's grasp was firm an he used the other hand to pull the hood down from his head, his lifeless eyes started at her, he could feel an hear her blood trickling through her vien's an her heart pounding like a frightened horses hooves as it sped away.

The almost silver like skin of Vincent's body seemed to reflect off the light coming from the long trail of torches lit along the hall, his platinum blond hair fell just above his eyes an to the nape of his neck. He growled deep in his throat an showed his fangs to her "You dare try to bargain a way out with me? The head knight of the castle? You must be joking dear girl" With that Vincent gave her wrist a firm squeeze, attempting to get a reaction of pain out of her before he would loosen the grip he had.

A guard came wandering down the hall an called out to him "Vincent! The queen and King have decided to grant you with the new prisoner, she is yours now.. You may do as you wish with her" Vincent snarled an waved a hand "out of my sight Lucius!" The guard quickly scurried back up the winding stair case, not pressing further questions or adding anymore detail. What was Vincent supposed to do with a hot headed human besides drain her blood?

She gulped when he growled and grabbed her arm. She tried more then anything to not flinch or remove herself from his grip. She tried her breath came in rapidly. She didn't show her fear in her eye's they were glaring at him. Why didn't he just get it over with. The girl breathed and tried to get her wrist back. She held back a whimper and tried to get her arm back. She didn't want to die at the hands of some vamp. Her body was pressed into the bars and she was trembling. The girl couldn't help it.

She watched as the light hit his skin from the torches. She watched him why wasn't he killing her."A bargain is better then waiting for nothing." She said bravely. Her heart was still racing."My name is Samantha." She snapped at him. When he squeezed her wrist, she wanted to yelp, but she held her ground firm. Sam tried to pull her wrist back.

She looked over when a guard came in. She watched him with sharp eyes. She wanted to pull her arm back and tried. He wouldn't let go. Sam watched him and swallowed the lump in her throat. She couldn't believe what the guard said. She wanted to scream. Her eye's went to Vincent. He could kill her easily."wait don't kill me." She said."I could be of use to you."she said."I know where more humans are that are not in homes." She said steadily.

As she struggled against him an tried to reel her arm back Vincent merely held her an didn't cease his grip or let go. Vincent was utterly confused on how to go about getting this so called "gift" Turning to look at her as she spoke her name, raising an eyebrow he moved his angelic featured face to get close to the bars, his forehead almost touching the steel, he looked down at her, his slender frame standing about 6'3 as he cleared his throat. Samantha? Vincent stayed quiet a moment, letting her name echo through his mind a few moments before he finally acknowledged her words.

Inhaling a deep breath he followed it with a steady exhale "I am going to assume you are familiar with the shorter version, Sam" Vincent had no sense of emotion to his words. At her plead, begging him not to kill her he grinned, hearing the words were almost as good as the scent of her blood that was still racing. He let loose another dark chuckle as he finally loosened his grip but didn't let go "To kill my gift from the King an Queen would be rude, although I could lie an say you tried to run" After his words he wrenched his hand back, releasing hers from his hold. By now her wrist would of had to have been turning a deep shade of red.

She spoke another set of words that peaked his interest. Of use? At her explanation he leaned against the bars, folding his arms again over his chest "Hmm.. Well I guess you aren't as useless as I thought ... But IF I agree to go along with this little plan of your there will be condition's ... Sam" He paused a moment before grinning "I let you live an you show me where all these homeless humans are .. Also if you are already marked by a vampire no other vampire can touch you, therefore will not harm you" Vincent explained the situation very carefully an slowly so that she wouldn't miss any details. He stood a moment in silence, thinking over his idea as he waited for her to give a reaction to his deal.

Sam waited for him to release her arm it was killing her. He was going to break her wrist. She looked at him as he stared at her. His angelic face was as frozen as stone or ice. His grip was cold and started to hurt. He got closer and she breathed trying to bite her lip so it didn't quiver. What in the hell was he doing.

When he inhaled and spoke she nods."Yes I go by Sam as well." She said."I prefer it." Sam said again. She didn't flinch at his cold words. He spoke of her as a gift and she wanted to hit him. She froze when he said lie and say she ran. When her arm was released. Sam stepped away quickly from the bars. Sam rubbed her wrist and held onto it. It was in slight pain and Sam kept her hand on it.

"Useless, the only thing useless here..." Sam stopped she was in no position to give her attitude to this leech."Conditions, are you kidding me?" She asked."I will show you if you let me live. What do you mean marked?" She asked him. Sam stayed as far from the bars as possible. She didn't want him near her. She just wanted out if this situation how in the hell could she trick him. Leeches could be smart and quick. She would have to figure out deception towards him.

As she quickly recoiled into the back of her cell an grasped her wrist, a small smile of satisfaction crept onto his face slightly. So he had done a little damage yet she was strong enough to keep quiet, how interesting. Normal human's would have quivered an whined about the pain an begged to be released. A small movement in a cell next to hers caught his attention an his eyes stayed frozen, staring at the floor of the other cell, finally when a rat came scurrying out into the main hall Vincent kicked it away into the far wall, closer to the stairs. It twitched an took a few heavy breaths before its soul went cold, the impact against the stone floor must have either knocked it unconscious or it had died.

Vincent huffed a breath before turning to look at her, the position she had at the back of the cell she looked so helpless and alone he couldn't help but let his sly, devilish smile sit perfectly on his face a blank stare toward her as he listened. Ah so she preferred "Sam" that was one positive step for him at least. He watched her a little more, trying to figure her out. Vincent was not terrible with reading human's but this one seemed to have more spark an fire compared to the others he had witnessed in the past, what was fueling her fire?

At the start of her words he shot her a daring glance, DARING her to start bad mouthing him again, he could easily get inside that cell. As he suspected, she was not to thrilled about the conditions he had in mind an he shrugged slowly. At he next set of words he grinned an tapped his foot against the floor "Well ... To be marked you need to have been given the scar of a vampire bite.. We vampire's can sense another vampire's presence by their bite" He paused a moment to smile at her "Say I go wandering the streets, A woman's blood may smell so good but once close enough, a different smell with mix with her blood an signal she is marked an belongs to a different vampire, its how we keep peace with each other. If we decide we enjoy someone's blood so much we mark them, that way no one else can have them" Vince took a breath before shooting his eyes in her direction, her blood's scent an sounds tempted him as he leaned against the bars.

Sam gulped in and looked at him. She stayed at the back of the cell with fire in her eyes. She kept her hand on her other wrist to keep it from burning. She finally let go of it and hid it behind her. She gripped the stone at the back of the cell. Her hand gripped it lightly. Her wrist was throbbing with pain. She wasn't going to give him a satisfaction. Her eye's caught the rat and she stayed motionless. Rats didn't freak her out. They were all over the camp back in the forest. Sam watched him kick and the thing die slowly. Her eye's didn't close. She was almost as cold as the leeches. She had to be living in the forest.

Her eye's moved to him. She was trying to not lash out at him. He kept looking at her like a raw piece if meat. It made her slightly uncomfortable. She really hated it,but she wasn't sure what she could do anymore. His blank stare matched her glare. She wasn't going to give up her spirit for this leech. She had no family, no friends, and no one she liked back in the real world. The only fueling her was her hatred for there kind. She never thought it to change.

She watched his daring look she wanted to continue to insult him,but that would get her no where. She listened to him explain being marked. She breathed in slowly and watched him. Her mind raced, there was no way out of being bitten. Sam walked closer her head held high defiance in her eye's as always. She put her hands on the bars her face inches from his. She watched him with just as cold of a look as he gave her. Sam's hands wrapped around the bars. She breathed in and sighed."you have a deal." She said. Her heart was racing. She had basically just made a deal with the devil. She stepped back and moved her hair to one side.

Vincent was quite interested in her, her spirit took a toll on him an it was a shame he had to tear it down but then again that was what had made him enjoy his position so well. Vincent was the head Knight of the castle and almost everything they did went through him first then it was taken to the king an queen. Vince eyed the dark hued stone walls an the damp, dirty stone floor. Cob webs seemed to hang along the hall way an around the cell doors. Vincent was considered "dark" by many, no one had ever seen him find happiness in a woman or anything. Vincent really hadn't ever experienced such thing as "happiness" He yawned, his jaw parted an his fangs seemed to glisten against the low lighting before he closed his mouth once more.

Vincent hadn't had an issue with human's until they portrayed Vampire's as "leeches" and "Blood sucking killers" They had no choice if they wanted to live. He turned his head to raise a hand an place it on the back of his neck, cracking it an he then placed it back onto his chest, re-folding his arms across his chest before he switched sides to lean against the bars. Vincent would wait all night if he had to, to get a yes or no out of her was all he was concerned about at this point, either way he would be putting his fangs into her flesh. The only difference, life or death.

His eyes flickered wildly with anxiousness as she approached him, her hands grasping the bars an he could tell the reluctance in her posture but even she was smart enough to know that there was no escape an she valued her life to much to let him drain her dry. At her words he pushed off from the bars to stand straight and tall, unfolding his arms he stuck a hand into the pocket of his black dress like shirt, a pocket over his heart that held a single key, which opened all the cells in the dungeon. Opening the door he then closed it again, putting his hand through to lock it behind him. Vincent would not have her pull any stunt's.

As she moved her hair he clenched his hands into fist's, holding himself together. Vincent did not want to act like a savage animal in front of her, that would prove the human's point of him being a merciless creature. He approached her slowly an placed a single hand on her cheek, using his other hand to tilt her head, laying it into the palm of his cold hand. After doing this he took the hand that had tilted her head an ran a finger down her neck gently before placing that hand on the back of her neck to steady her as he leaned down to pierce his fangs into the soft flesh of her neck, her blood began to pour into his mouth an he inhaled deeply with satisfaction.

Sam followed him as he took out the key and stepped yo the dungeon door. She wasn't going back on her word. She could understand his mistrust of her. She didn't trust him either. She smirked as she saw his hands clench. She knew he was holding back to not look savage. She breathed in and got ready for this. Sam was shaking slightly as he walked closer to her. Her eyes trailed to him with a sharp look. He laid a hand in her cheek. She leaned into his hand as he tilted her head. She bit her bottom lip and kept her stance firm. Sam shivered at his touch, his hand on the back of her neck made this very real.

Sam's breath came in. She was barely breathing. Her breath came in sharply at his teeth sinking into her neck. The pain wasn't that bad. Sam's eye's half closed as he drank from her use to be flawless skin. No wonder the blood whores enjoyed the bite it was intoxicating and riveting. She slowly placed a hand on his arm holding her cheek it was more to steady herself though she felt herself pulling closer to his bite. She had almost lost herself in the bite.

That one bite changed her thought process about them a little bit. When he pulled away she stumbled slightly and caught herself on him. Sam felt like she had drank to much mead and the room was spinning. Sam breathed in and out, she opened her eye's slowly and watched the cell spin. She hadn't realized her body was slightly limp. He was basically holding her up. She sighed and went to stand on her own."I did as you asked. I can't tell you how to get there. I have to show you." She said quietly.

Sam was serious about this. They wouldn't trust just any one walking in there. She needed to lure them out and a few would need to come stumbling back. She had a plan to get all the humans caught, she needed to be out and about to actually get things done. Though she now craved his fangs in her skin as well. It was addicting like a drug, she never founds vamps attractive, but he wasn't bad looking for an undead. She was actually starting to hate herself now.

Vincent was holding onto sanity with every swallow of her blood, in return his gums had released a strange substance into her body, making his mark on her. His eyes closed an he was surprised to feel her hand on the arm that held her cheek. The flickering flame from the torches seemed to dance off the walls as he took what he wanted from her blood stream but he knew if he took to much she would lose consciousness an he would be forced to wait until she woke to find the others to bring back.

He was not expecting her to pull into his bite, he thought she would have tried to fight against him but she didn't an she was able to keep he was able to do his part. Slowly pulling the fangs from her neck, he used a sleeve of his shirt to catch the small amount of blood that trickled from her neck. As she caught herself on him he placed a single hand on her waist to help steady her, his eyes glancing at her face in search of anything that might signal if she were to pass out or even just fall.

As she moved to stand on her own, Vincent was hesitant to let her go but did so reluctantly a slight sense of protectiveness began to sweep over him. Vincent hadn't marked a human in a long time, the last one he had, had gotten killed by another vampire who was out to spite Vincent. At her words he raised an eyebrow but nodded, he had to give her a chance at his trust "Alright.. But one condition" He paused to chuckle slightly "You ride with me, because you have been bitten your scent will attract vampires, my mark is only noticed once they are within range to smell it" Vincent then held out a hand to her "I want to trust you Sam"

Vincent couldn't help but notice how flawless her skin an features seemed to be, for a human she was pretty much the only one he had seen that could compete with the beauty of a female Vampire. At the thought he found himself quite lucky an then snapped his head back into reality, he needed those humans. Pulling the hood back over his head "Come we will go to the stables, I have an extra cloak out by my horse if you would like one" Vince's hand was still extended, waiting for her to take hold so they could move to the stable to get his horse an the human's.

Her body was still in shock from his bite. She held onto the bars to keep herself standing. She sighed and started to breathe. She still felt slightly drunk. She sighed and looked at him with half closed eye's. Her eye's opened with a sigh. She tried to catch her breath and focus on him.

Sam listened to him and his condition."one thing on that. When I get to a part in the forest I need to go a lone. You need to trust me on that. I will come back to you." She said to him. Sam's eye's looked him over she saw him looking over her. Sam slowly smirked and watched him. Her lips were dark set against her pale skin. Her skin was now paler after he bit her. She was catching her breath and sighed."I need my things." She said and grabbed his hand. "Yes a cloak would be nice."She said. Sam sighed her neck felt like it had a crick in it. Slightly stung where he bit her,but she would deal with it.

They walked for the stable her hand in his as he helped her a long. She was betraying her kind for on leech. How could she do that, how could she betray them? Her mind was nagging at her. She however decided to ignore it and continue to walk with him. Her breath hung in the night air like silk clung to the body.

Sam moved to the stable and got her stuff back and the cloak from him. Her eye's darted around her as she put the cloak on. Sam put the hood up on the cloak and made her way to the horses. She was still silent with him more so because her mind was at war with itself. She was screaming to stop this how ever her movement felt right. She was helping the vamps and it felt right. Sam finally looked at him. She still had a fire in her eye's. She went to say something but stopped what in the hell was she going to say to him. Thanks for biting me. She groaned inwardly and let out a breath.

Vincent watched her stumble like a new born fawn an catch herself on the cell bars. As she seemed to try an focus on him he didn't move, but stood calmly waiting for her to re-gain her visibility an balance. He was going to trust a human? That was something Vincent had always avoided in the past why stop that now? Truth was Vincent had no choice an to get a group of human's to bring back would certainly give him at least two days of freedom from the king asking him what the knights were up to.

As her voice finally sang out to him he lifted his head an listened intently. his eyes still trailing over her features, even if she did catch him he had nothing to be ashamed of, this human was one of the most elegant looking he had ever came across, an he had been around for quite some time. He pondered a moment but at her last set of words "I will come back to you" his eyes looked into hers an he really did believe her "Very well Sam, but I will be close by, I don't need any thirsty rogue vampires trying to find you an ruin the whole operation" With that she demanded her things an he replied with a simple nod of his head an before he could really react she had hold of his hand.

On the way to the stables, many of the castle workers an guards were eyeing Sam but Vincent was firm to give them a warning glance, making sure to make his point across that he would not tolerate anyone trying anything with her. Finally they reached the stable an she found her belonging's. Vincent found his extra cloak hanging by his stall an handed it to her. While she situated herself, Vincent pulled his large black stallion, Varok out from his stall an saddled him. The whole time it had been quiet between the two so Vincent turned to look at her as she pulled the hood of the cloak up to conceal most of her face, his cloak doing the same "You are the only human I have seen with such a spark, Sam .. It's good to see someone with such spirit" Vincent then tightened the saddle before leading the horse outside the stable.

Mounting up onto Varok, the stallion chomped at the bit an stomped a hoof on the ground, the knight's horses knew their job an most enjoyed it, getting good exercise an adrenaline out of it. Vincent extended a hand to help Sam mount up behind him. The stallions heavy breaths shot out from his nostril's in large puffs of vapor into the night's breeze as it mangled the already twisted mane an tail of the dark colored horse. The night was chilled an had an eerie feeling as clouds cascaded in front of the moon.

Sam was glad to have her stuff back. She sighed and looked at him. He believed her and for once she wasn't lying. She would come back to him, her mind was now made up for her. She caught him looking over her again. It wasn't a piece of meat look it was she was actually beautiful. Sam breathed in and let out a huff. Her eye's saw the guards look she was shaking slightly.

Sam looked at him when he said she had spark and spirit. She smirked and shook her head."It's who I am I was always a tough child. My parent's had a tough time controlling me." She said. Her voice hung in the air as she spoke. It was quieter then when she was around her friends. She felt like she could here her heart beating. Though she wasn't afraid any more or mad she was curious and wanted to know more. She had a new kinda if spark in her eye. One she couldn't figure out even if her life depended on it.

Sam took his hand and threw her leg over the back of the saddle. She wrapped her arms around his waist as she looked around. Her cheeks and nose were flushed with cold. They had a blush color to them. The cold eerie night made her shiver. The shiver was do to the fact she felt the chill in her bones. She took a shaky breath in and leaned her head on his back. He had no breath in him no heart beat. It was oddly still.

Sam felt the horse gallop off. She held onto him to make sure she stayed on the horse. As they went through the woods, she saw movement quicker then she could comprehend with her eyes. The movements were a blur. She didn't close her eye's though her grip around him tightened slightly. When he got far enough in Sam breathed out."Stop and push me off your horse." She said. She knew he be reluctant. When he did she rolled to the ground and groaned. With effort she got up and ran. She had found a way to cover her neck. She picked a rock up along the way and made marks in her skin. She made her way to the secret passage. Her friends held up stakes."what the hell are you doing here?" They asked. Sam was good at acting. I got away, they caught me,but as you can see I fought like hell and took one of there cloaks to blend in." She said."look there is a band if them not far from here. We need to stop them, there was a girl they were attacking and she needs our help." Sam said begging."okay, but stay here." The leader says."I can't I know where they are." She said."okay lead the way." Sam nods and turned with a smirk. She ran out of camp and made sure they were behind her. Her breath clung in the air. She was trying to remember her way back. Her heart was racing like crazy.

A hand grabbed her from behind and Sam went to grab a stake and turn to kill the vamp holding her. She turned seeing Vincent and dropped it immediately."I am sorry I thought you were another vampire." She said. She breathed out."I could only get ten. They only let ten out at a time. If they think the camp is in danger you could get them all at once." She said. Afraid he be mad for her almost staking him. She hadn't meant to at all.

Vincent had listened as she explained herself as a child an raised an eyebrow, now that was something he was going to have to pursue an ask questions about because it seemed highly entertaining to hear about. The night seemed to slow around them as he had waited for her to take his hand. When she finally did so he kicked Varok into a gallop, the stallion was more than happy too an arched his broad neck as they began to push through the underbrush leading away from the castle.

As they continued on, While they were in mid gallop Sam had ordered his to throw her to the forest below. Vincent was reluctant but with her persistence he did so, watching as she fell to the ground an began to get crafty with a near by stone. After she had finished an started away from him, Vincent kicked Varok into a trot an moved to a more dense area of the forest that way he wouldn't have been to easy to spot. While waiting he grew worried an slightly hoped that they hadn't caught onto her plan. Dismounting from Varok he left him in the tree's, the stallion knew not to move from that spot so he just gorged himself in grass.

Vince had been watching the shadows when suddenly he caught a glimpse of her an quickly moved to her, placing a hand on her shoulder when she turned on him, a stake in hand but she quickly dropped her hand an took a breath of relief an Vincent did the same. As she apologized he waved a hand as if to forget about it "Don't worry It's fine I'd rather you armed than not" As she explained the number he smiled an put a hand on her cheek "Very good, ten is fine for now that way if they go missing the others from the camp will be dying to get out tomorrow an search for them, drawing them out into the open for the taking" Vincent then glanced over her shoulder as the small group started to make their way toward her an he glanced to the side where Varok was "I'll go get the horse to block them from turning back" With that he moved swiftly to mount up.

As the group closed in around Sam they began to ask questions an he quickly galloped out to stand behind the group, Varok reared up an pawed at the air with his hoves, Vincent grinned an took his sword, pointing it at the group, however he made sure to throw a dashing smile at Sam "You ten will come with me back to the castle at once!" Vince's tone was firm an cold, Varok taking a few steps toward them to herd them in the right direction, however he held out a hand to Sam "My dear" He sung out to her.

Sam looked at him when he forgave her. She let out a breath, she had been holding in. He had a gleam in his eye's. She knew that gleam all to well. She had it many times in her own eye's. When he told her was fine and he rather her arm, she nods and bit her lower lip looking around. When he said he head them off, Sam nodded in agreement. What have you done. Her brain screamed at her. You did this all for a leech you treacherous snake. You fought there kind and now here you are helping them. The voice got quieter. She told it to shut up and she was doing what she had to. She stayed alive was her lie to herself. Yet at the same time it wasn't.

Sam looked as the group ran over. They were scared and asked her questions. She went to answer them when Vincent came riding up. She looked at him and breathed."Do as He says and you will live." She said. Sam looked up at him. She blushed at his smile. She groaned inwardly. Your no better then the blood whores and here you are helping them. She quited that side again to say he wasn't that bad and he really was caring. Sam took his hand firmly and pulled herself up onto the back of his horse. The ten glared at her, she knew they were thinking she was traitor. They all started to walk in front of Varok. Sam breathed and looked at Vince.

Sam was waring with herself again and again. The voice of reason got smaller and the voice of want shouted at her. It was telling her this was right. The right decision and she listened to it. Her reward was to not die. Now she wanted more from. Would he give it to her or would he just kill her after she helped him enslave the camp. She leaned into him as she felt the horse moving. She was in pain and just wanted to rest.

Sam moved her head to his shoulder." I am glad to have helped, but I haven't slept in almost two days please tell me I don't have to rest in the dungeon tonight." She asked him. Her lips close to his cold neck, Sam was still shivering from the cold. She how ever wouldn't move away from him. Her voice did carry the sound of being wary. Plus his bite and her running had taken energy out of her.

Vincent growled when they all turned to glare at Sam while she climbed up behind him of Varok, the horse snorted an shoved on of them on the shoulder with his nose, obviously Varok was used to this sort of thing. The ride was calm an slow, he didn't feel like pushing the group into a panicking frenzy. Vince glanced over his shoulder to see as she moved her head to rest her chin against the blade of his shoulder.

At her statement Vince smiled lightly an inhaled deeply before he answered her "No, no cold cots on a cell floor for you my dear" Feeling the light tremble from her body, Vince kicked Varok into a fast paced walk. Finally they reached the stables an a large group of guards came to Vincent's side immediately at the sight of the human's. A low growl escaped Vince as he pointed the sword at the group "take them to the dungeon and inform the King and Queen of my success and where I got my help" He said the last part by gesturing to Sam. Placing the sword back to his side as he then lifted a leg over the neck of Varok an reached up to pull Sam down from the horse.

A guard came an took Varok to the stable an Vincent took hold of Sam's hand again "Do you need me to carry you to where you can rest?" Vince was concerned but he knew that Sam was strong enough that she would probably be a stubborn goat an refuse however he didn't give her the chance as he lifted her to cradle her in his arms, entering the Castle, many of the vampires were already talking about the group Vincent had brought back. Vincent was not to thrilled about it, he was just looking forward to getting Sam into a bedroom.

Opening the large black door to his room, Vince kicked it shut with his foot as he then moved across the room to lay her in the bed, the sheets an blankets had already been pulled down so he lay her on one side of the bed an pulled the covers over her then moved to start a fire at the far end of the room. As the fire snapped an cracked beneath the wood, Vincent took the cloak off an took of the blood stained shirt he had been wearing since he had marked Sam. Throwing it to the end of the bed he then sat next to her, his gentle eyes watching the fire in silence.

Sam saw her breath in the night as they got to the Castle again. She saw the looks the other Vamps gave her. Was it because she was human? What had she done. Yeah she use to be against them, now she was here helping them. Her body shivered into his gently. She was still weak compared to the vamps, her mind, her body, and even her will. She tried her best, but here she was and relying on a Vampire to protect her. He helped her down from the horse and she blanked for a minute that was very chivalrous of him to do. She could do it normally.

When he took her hand again Sam looked at him. He asked her if she needed to be carried."No seriously I am good."she huffed and was surprised as he picked her up."or I can be carried." She said. She sighed and relaxed into him. Odd how comfortable she hated him and here she was leaning into him tiredly. She was actually falling asleep in his grip as he carried her. She was exhausted and just used the last of her strength to run.

Sam looked up seeing a black wood door. She was trying to focus on it. Once inside the room seemed to already be inhabited by someone. Her brain wasn't connecting this was his room. Vince had kicked the door shut and she heard it. Sam felt him lay her down in the bed. She let out a sigh and moved about to get comfy and pull her boots off. Sam sighed and removed the cloak as well. She went back to laying in the bed. She sighed and yawned she turned her head."you know you never told me your name." She said tiredly.

Sam was drifting off to sleep in his bed. She would need to bathe and put new clothes on, Sam was to tired to ask for one now. Her chest rose and fell as she started to fall asleep. Sam's skin shown in the fire light. Her skin was so pale that the fire light danced off her skin. She sighed and breathed deeply. Sam moved her hair to one side and got comfy on the mattress. She had a ring on her right hand Index finger that shown in the fire light as she moved to her side to get mor comfortable her hand laid gently by her head as she waited for his name. Sam watched him with her hazel eye's. They were pure green still. They changed with her mood and attitude.

Vincent had been laying next to her exhausted figure, his eyes closed but he was not sleeping. She kept fidgeting an moving, trying to get herself comfortable. At the motion of her moving her hair to one side, her scent grew more powerful with her exposed neck. Opening both eyes he reached out a cold hand to run a finger along her jaw an down her neck, stopping at her shoulder. Vincent was tempted to bite her again but she was far to weak an he wasn't going to take the chance on her being almost drained dry by him, he had taken a fair amount of her blood the first time he had bitten her an to do it again would be risky.

A small smirk pulled at the side of his mouth as he heard her tired words an he moved his hand to stroke her hair, trying to help comfort her into sleep. However he took in a breath an began to answer her question "I thought you would have taken note when the guard came down into the dungeon" He paused to look from her to the fire an then back "I am Vincent but Vince will do the trick" His fingers tangled an stroked her hair as he sat there with her an listened to the fire, also watching it dance off her pale skin.

The night was quiet an no one had came knocking on the door to disturb him, seeing as he had just brought back ten humans they would not call on him unless it was urgent. The bare skin on Vincent's chest was a dull silver like color an the fires flame dancing off it made it look almost metallic like. Glancing at Sam again he noticed the blankets weren't pulled up very high so he leaned over to grasp the comforter an pull it higher, resting it at her collar bone. Vincent then decided to crawl under the blankets with her, although he was vampire an didn't sleep he would still lay an relax.

The next morning was calm an Vincent had gotten up to look out the window, the vampire guards had been out working with the knight's horses an were hustling an bustling about the group of human's in the dungeon. He turned to look back at the bed, Sam still fast asleep as he then heard a light knock at the door. Pulling the door inward to see out into the hall, a small vampire with a slim fitting black dress held up a loaf of bread with a large cup of water, basically for Sam. Vincent nodded an took both item's before closing the door again quietly an sat the items on the table next to her side of the bed. Once done he moved back to the window, the ring on his right hand ring finger seemed to glow when the light hit it.

As he ran his hand along her jaw down her neck to her shoulder, she shivered involuntarily. Sam wanted to allow him to bite her again. She watched him stop and she got comfy by his side. His cold body was actually some comfort to her. She watched the fire light dance off his skin giving it a metallic look. Sam looked almost confused. She finally decided, because she was tired and that's why her brain was not registering things like it normally did.

Sam watched the small smirk play on his lips. "Notice I was trying to not die thank you very much." She said with a small smile. His hands in her hair felt nice."Vincent" she said tiredly. Her lips curled into the smallest smile. As she finally got comfy enough to sleep. Sam was a quite sleeper, she made no noise as she slept and she barely even moved. Her parents almost thought she was dead one time and tried to put her on the dead cart. Obviously she woke up and started screaming. They were dead bodies ridden with feces and dieses. Who would start screaming.

Sam didn't feel him move at all in her dreams. Her mind wasn't resting. It was more active then ever. Faces of her friend's floated around shouting at her. Things like, Traitor, snake, vampire lover, blood whore. Or even they would beg her as to why she did this. All her brain could do was yell back. She was sorry or she defended Vincent and her decisions she hardly knew what was up from down any more. Her dreams finally changed to a slightly more normal dream and her rigid body relaxed. She was dreaming about Vince her mind and body almost craved him now even craved the bite of his. She couldn't believe with just one bite it all changed. She knew there must be some chemical in balance that it sets off. She how ever couldn't shake it. She kinda didn't want to either.

Sam had slept through the night. It had been a long time since she actually got a good rest. The sun snuck through and landed on her exposed skin. It could be a little blinding only people this pale were vamp or nobles and royals. She felt the warmth of the sun it was a different warmth then the fire at her back. Sam moved slowly to her side and pushed herself up."mmm" she said and slowly opened her eye's. They caught a glimpse of his ring in the sun. She sighed and looked around running a hand through her hair. She stretched her back and let out a small sigh. Sam's eye's landed on Vincent.

"Letting a human sleep in your bed?" She asked him with a small smile. She had finally put it together when she woke up."Any where this human can bathe. Normally have a river for that. I am pretty sure you can't find one of those in the middle of the Castle. If you do I think we have way more to learn about your kind." She said with a joke. She felt stiff. Her body was screaming at her to lay back down. She wouldn't listen to it.

Vincent had still been bare chested when she woke from slumber an he turned to look at her, see seemed to be a bit more lively that she had been the night before. At her jab at him he smirked an then turned to look at her "Well I certainly don't sleep so I mid as well let someone get good use out of it" With that he raised an eyebrow as the guards started moving the horses out into the field. Turning back to look at her he gestured to the food next to her bed "Eat first, then a bath but food will help get you going"

Vincent moved to the far corner of the room, grasping another black like dress shirt an slipped it on, rolling the sleeves up to his elbow's. He then grinned an moved to sit by her feet "So how was your sleep? You looked almost dead at one point, I was tempted to try an wake you" He let lose a chuckle before he took a quick glance at her neck then swiftly back to her, she smelt some appetizing in the morning, almost as though her blood was singing to him.

Vincent threw her a smile before heading back to the wardrobe to fetch two towels an he placed them at the end of the bed "When your finished eating I will show you where you can bathe" Vincent wasn't trying to be a pain in the neck he just knew that humans needed to eat an stay hydrated an frankly he didn't remember seeing her eat or drink during last night's events with the camp and in the dungeon. Vince trailed over to the window an folded his arms again over his chest, his eyes carried a sense of gentleness to them this morning compared to last night in the dungeon.

Her eye's trailed over him gently. She sighed she felt so much better after her sleep. She. Sighed and nods,"That's right you don't sleep do you?" She said more to herself then him she looked at the bread and water. She had better in the forest, the deer's and elk supplied them with food. She grabbed the water and drank it down greedily. The cool water felt nice against her throat. She was parched and the water felt nice running down it. She picked at the bread having a small amount. She was use to eating very little.

She looked down at him as he asked her about her sleep. She laughed as he said she looked dead."My mother told me that once. My family almost put me in the dead cart because of it." She said."I am a very still sleeper." She said. She caught him looking at her . Sam smirked at him."Hungry?" She asked him. She watched his eye's watching her. Sam didn't mind his scrutinizing gaze. Her gaze could match his. She was to strong willed for most people. It made most mad, some people say that she was mad for being so stubborn. She should take a suitor and settle down.

She watched him walk away and smiled."Finished." She said. She had barley touched the bread, she however was use to being part starving a little bit of bread went a long way for her. She grabbed the towel, and He lead her to where she could bathe. Sam closed the curtain and took her corset top and pants off. She slipped into the tub and the warm water waiting her. She breathed and went under the water. Her skin had prickled all over it. She came up for air and breathed out. Sam washed the dirt and blood from her body. She got out slowly and wrapped the towel around her. She would need to get in her bag for new clothes. Her hair hung around her shoulders and she moved it to the side to dry her body then hair. She wrapped the towel around her again and moved the curtain aside.

Vincent waited patiently out side the bathing area for Sam. Many workers an guards had came by, each one took a glance at the door before Vincent would snarl an they would continue onward. Sam's blood was quite tempting and he knew that it would take a while before the castle member's would be used to her. Vincent could hear the curtain's moving an he knew then that she was probably finished bathing an he knocked on the door "Come on Sam lets get you back to the room" With that they started off.

Back in the safety of his own room, Vincent tossed the bag with her belonging's onto the bed an then moved to the window to look outside once more. The ring on his finger was the only thing keeping him from bursting into dust. Vincent was dying to sink his fangs into her flesh again but he knew that she probably wouldn't be up to letting him at the moment so he patiently waited for her to get herself dressed, his eyes fixed on the commotion outside, not wanting to make her uncomfortable if he were to look back.

Vincent's mind began to trail off as he patiently waited for her to finish. Maybe they would head into town an do some shopping? Since she was his marked now he could do what he liked. He grinned as he pictured the two riding through town, many vampires would be shocked to see him with a marked human after being alone for so long. Vincent then began to picture what color would suit Sam best, red? Black? Or maybe a blue?

Sam had taken a long bath her skin was even paler with the dirt washed away. She sighed as he hurried her to his room in just a towel. It was slightly uncomfortable, she felt her skin crawl as other vamps looked at her. She shook her head and slipped into his room. She shook her head watched him close the door. She could see him eyeing her and she knew what he wanted. Sam sighed and looked away from him.

When he tossed her, her bag she grabbed it and opened it. Sam pulled out black pants and. A black shirt with her brown corset. She sighed and slipped her pants on then her boots to help keep everything in place she but the shirt on it had a slight v up front with strings to tie it closed. She put the corset on to finish it all off. Vincent looked away as she dressed. She looked through her bag and sighed pulling out a hair dagger that held her hair in place. Sam fixed her clothing so it fit right. She never wore dresses. They made movement hard.

Sam walked over to him and cleared her throat."you know you don't have to ask to feed from me if you want here I am." Sam said. She wanted to feel those lips on her neck again. She had her hair pinned up her neck was free and showed. Where he had bitten. It was just to small puncture wounds."Please go a head." She said to him. Sam was being serious. She came back to him like she said she would. Here she was offering him the one thing she knew he wanted. Sam had lost her mind she thought.
