Fantasy King's Orders

Callum's relaxation ended when he heard what sounded like at least four people trying to silently sneak up on the cottage. He frowned and took deep breaths, figuring what he could do since he assumed the people were guards. He glanced back at the cottage, where he knew the girl and his little sister were sleeping, unknowing of the approaching people. Callum ducked out of sight as the four figures came into sight, definitely guards. He twisted his hands in a way that made them look like they were dancing and vines shot up from the ground at the guards' feet, grabbing hold on their ankles.

...⊹Himeragi soon woke up. She noticed Callum's not in bed with them and soon shook Callie a bit to wake her up⊹...

Callie's eyes were half open and she sounded a bit groggy. "Wh-what is it?" She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She noticed her brother wasn't in sight. "Is Cal on a walk again..?.." She yawned and stretched.

Callie nodded her little head but then stopped mid-nod. Her face grew just a little pale. "But Cal wouldn't go on a walk now... Not in our situation. He'd stick pretty close to where we are.." She hurried over to a window and looked outside and saw Callum using his magic, but she couldn't see the four guards due to the window's angle.


The guards struggled as vines latched onto their legs, keeping them from moving from where they stood. Callum hesitated since he wasn't sure what to do... He knew he couldn't kill someone if his life depended on it, so that was out of the question. But his energy was slowly being drained by using his magical abilities and he didn't want the guards to go anywhere near the cottage.

Callie nodded her little head but then stopped mid-nod. Her face grew just a little pale. "But Cal wouldn't go on a walk now... Not in our situation. He'd stick pretty close to where we are.." Callum saw the girl jump out the window and into plain sight of the guards. Shit... He moved his hands differently now and made a large tree branch lower itself to the guards and knock each head hard, knocking them out but not giving any real injuries. He flopped onto the soft grass and took some deep breaths, a little short on energy from the magic.

(im just gonna jump right in if thats ok :I ) Ahas wondered around the trees of the winding forest. He could tell he was getting nearer and nearer to Frey with each step as they castle came into view. However, stopping in his tracks, he overheard the sound of a few strangled and distressed voices not too far away. Ahas quietly appeared behind one of the surrounding trees to observe the scene. What he saw were four guardsmen being over powered by a young boy manipulating the vine. He comtemplated whether he should intervene with the situation or not.

Callum saw the girl jump out the window and into plain sight of the guards. Shit... Callum looked over at the girl, still panting. "Yeah?" He sat up and scratched the back of his head. I haven't had to use that much magic and energy in forever.. He was broken away from his thoughts as he felt as if someone was watching. He didn't hear or see anyone other than the girl and the four unconscious guards, but he could swear someone was watching.

Callum looked over at the girl, still panting. "Yeah?" He sat up and scratched the back of his head. I haven't had to use that much magic and energy in forever.. He was broken away from his thoughts as he felt as if someone was watching. He didn't hear or see anyone other than the girl and the four unconscious guards, but he could swear someone was watching.

As another character, a girl more specifically, popped into view emerging from a cottage not too far away, Ahas decided it would be better to keep his distance for now. He didnt want to get into whatever situation they were in, as the boy did indeed just knock out 4 fully grown men. Snaking his way through the trees as quietly as possible, Ahas kept his eyes on the two people from afar, careful not to be heard.

Callum was surprised. She must not have noticed the guards! "I was relaxing... But these guys.." He gestured towards the four unconscious guards, "They were most likely about to capture us... So I had to stop them..." He took deep breaths, still panting. He looked at the window that the girl had leaped from and was surprised to see his little sister. "We aren't safe. If they knew we are here, then others know." He got up and made his way over to the guards, inspecting them. They wee part of the Royal Guard, that was easy enough to see.


Callie climbed out of the window and ran over to Callum. She saw the guard and gasped. "Cal... We're in trouble again, aren't we?" He nodded and picked Callie up, putting her on his shoulders. "Sort of, yeah. Look I'm sorry, we can go. I don't want anybody finding out about your cottage and then bringing trouble to you. We should probably leave you before you're a major target too." Callum looked sadly at his sister, wishing they could just live normally.

Callum was surprised. She must not have noticed the guards! "I was relaxing... But these guys.." He gestured towards the four unconscious guards, "They were most likely about to capture us... So I had to stop them..." He took deep breaths, still panting. He looked at the window that the girl had leaped from and was surprised to see his little sister. "We aren't safe. Did he just say major target?? Ahas definitely didnt want to mix himself up with these people if they were obviously being hunted down. With the best of his ability, Ahas got up and attempted to sprint away. However, his attempt was futile, as a large, unforeseen tree root grasped at his foot, causing him to come down with a rather large noise and sprinkle of leaves. Crap he thought. Now they probably know Im here! I cant get caught up in this group of criminals!

Callum lets a smile form on his face. "Okay, but let's be quick. Those guards will probably wake up soon." He heads back into the cabin, helping load her items onto the wagon.

Callum was about to respond when he heard a loud thud. He followed the noise and saw some boy on the ground, tripped up by a large root. "Hey, who are you?" He put Callie down and kept her behind him protectively. He didn't want to use his magic since he was already exhausted, but he felt he had to. He motioned his hands and the tree root wrapped around one of the boy's ankles.

Callum was about to respond when he heard a loud thud. He followed the noise and saw some boy on the ground, tripped up by a large root. "Hey, who are you?" He put Callie down and kept her behind him protectively. He didn't want to use his magic since he was already exhausted, but he felt he had to. He motioned his hands and the tree root wrapped around one of the boy's ankles.

...⊹Himeragi had finished loading and attached the wagon to a horse before she checked up on Callum and Callie and the boy⊹...

Oh no. Ahas could feel the root wrapping around his ankle. It was definitely too late for a stealthy escape now, he'd already been caught! He didnt want his first encounter in the Kingdom of Frey to be an unfortunate one, and figured he could probably escape if he told the people the truth, that he was just a helpless foreigner, wandering around lost in the woods. They might even be so kind as to direct him to the safest route to the city. Might.





Pulling himself together, Ahas summoned some confidence with his voice. "Uh.. umm hi. Im just a wonderer, lost… here… um… in the woods. U-uh, c-could you maybe direct me… to the u-um city? Please?" Great, that definitely didnt sound convincing at all, and if anything he probably just sounded plain stupid.

Callum frowned. "In complete honesty I don't know where the nearest city is... But how much did you see?" He frowned, hoping for the boy's own sake that he hadn't seen anything Callum did earlier. Callie hid behind her big brother, scared of the boy.

"Well," Ahas thought he had a better chance of getting out of this alive if he admitted to seeing nothing. "I-I happened to stumble upon you folks and was only able to hear you discussing being major targets. Honest! I was just trying to get out as quick as possible! I dont want to get mixed into… whatever you guys got yourselves into…" Ahas thought this time he was more believable. "Just please dont hurt me..."

Callum's frown grew worse when he heard something about them getting themselves into the mess they were in. "For your information we were born into this, we didn't choose to be hunted down. And I don't like hurting people. What says that you won't just tell guards or my fathe- erm, the King about us?" He glared at the boy, unsure what to do.

"K- King?" Ahas' brow furrowed, he hadnt really studied much about this place before coming here, so he was almost completely oblivious to the life that bustled within the kingdom. "I truthfully dont know much about the King or any of his guards or even why anyone would be born into hiding, but honestly! I promise with my life i wont tell anyone about this little encounter we had if you just let me go. I just wanted a new life here! Honest!"

Callum shut his eyes and sighed deeply. "Good luck. And I don't know about whatever kingdom you came from, but if you have any sort of inhuman power... hide it." He let the tree root let go of the boy and walked back to the wagon alongside Callie, glad he didn't have to hurt the boy.

"Wait!" Ahas called out. What did the boy mean? Hide his powers? "Could you, um, explain that? Hiding your powers, I mean. I came here for a new chance! Are you saying i travelled all the way here for nothing?" Ahas was beginning to worry. He definitely didnt travel all these miles ON FOOT only to have to go searching for a new life in some other kingdom! There had to be another way…
