Fandom Justice League: The End

Superman was silent. This definitely didn't make him any happier in the least. He had just gotten to recover from a sound injury and now this had to happen. On top of that, the League of Shadows was still an issue. He watched as Jess approached Will and gave a pained smile."We'll get him back, Robin...what, don't have faith in us?" He said and turned."Fine, Blake can come along but I'm keeping an eye on Wonder Woman." He said, walking forward and accessed the teleporter, setting the destination to Gotham.

Will teared up at Jess's sentiment. He did remember his capture and sadly remembered every last but of enduring all his captors had put him through,... and then he remembered who Diana was. He reached out to try to hug Jess, pulling her in tight for a hug. Will could smell her blood, it called to him, begged him to bite her. to tear her appart and drink every last drop of it.Rai did notice this change though and quickly shoved a hand to the underside of Will's jaw, forcing him to back up and then pushed another cup of blood into his hands. He drank that one down quicker than he had the first one.

Careful Jess. As good as he's doing, which is suprizing, He may still bite.

I'm sorry Jess. I- ah-" A headache hit him, he felt like he'd been hit in the head by something.

You're premature... Go back to rest.

Rai gently pushed Will back down to his origal position, his eyes closing as he seemed to be dead once more... but really he was just in a state similar to being asleep.

He woke up too early and his body wasn't ready to endure the stress of his new abilities. But it looks as if he's going to have remarkable control and remember most of his human life. A rare occurance. Isroh here can't remember anything but afew snapshots.

No one wake him up this time. It'll be easier to do and harder to get him to go down again. But atleast now we know it won't be too bad.

Lexi followed after him, keeping an eye on the two heroes. She disliked them now entirely - one for attempted murder, and the other for child abuse likely.

If she wanted to, she could easily bring the hammer of justice down on those two - but decided not to. For now.

Authority Override: Tartarus protocol disengaged.

The loudspeakers rang loud through the halls of the base. The protocol that was just used against Blake had been deactivated and only a handful of people had the authority to make such a decision. Not long after, the question of 'who' made such call was made clear: Lexi, Nightwing and Jess - alongside other more tech-savvy Justice League members - were given the notification from none other than Old Man Wayne that the Tartarus protocol was not meant to be used in the situation in which it was. Not only that, a lengthy paragraph to Lexi was wrote out explaining that the shield was sufficient and the aggression towards Blake was unneeded and could have caused more problems in an already tense scenario. Blake was soon sent a similar message explaining that they would both be required to attend a teamwork management course at a later date to retain their authorization in the League. This type of reprimand was common for junior members.

Not long after, the cracked voice of Bruce carried over the comm unit of Nightwing: "Dick, if you're going to visit, I suggest it be soon. I just took my medication and you know how it tires me. I would like to speak with Lara and Jessica as well, so bring them both if you would. I'll be waiting in the Cave."

Not long after, the old Bat radio'd in to Wonder Woman as well: "Diana, do me a favor. Take the Tamaranean boy with you. The rest of the League will be irate with him, but if R'as is back, we can't have chaos among our ranks. Starfire is in the out range of space, so I can't contact her."

Meanwhile, Blake ultimately allowed his Starbolt to fade and was released from the grasp. Superman was holding back Will, and the reality sank in. He was prepared for everyone, even Superman to stop him; but he wasn't considering Will could return on his own. If he would have released his bolt, Will would be gone, but it just wasn't his instinct. It wasn't his instinct to kill. The thought only came to him after a long train of thought. Of rational decision-making. Blake wasn't a true warrior like Wonder Woman and he definitely wasn't as compassionate as the other League members. He fell somewhere in between. There did seem to be others that shared his opinion, but didn't act. Maybe the difference was that Blake was willing to carry out his opinion whereas they respected others. Blake wasn't for sure and in the moment, he was shook up. He retreated to a corner to sulk, primarily. Something about this entire situation just upset him. More than anything, it reminded him of why he preferred to be a solo hero. Maybe being alone was just in his nature.

While typing on the teleporters console,he could feel Lexi glaring back at the two and sighed."Lexi, if you glare at them any harder, you're going to burn holes in them." He said while getting the teleporter ready. While doing so, he sighed and got to one of the teleporter circles."Giving them the cold shoulder won't do much good you know." He said to his cousin in a soft tone. He glanced over to the sulking tamaranian boy and gestured."Come on. We're heading to Gotham. Better get on before the teleporter is active."

Blake nodded and silently walked over to the teleporters. He wasn't as sad as he was confused. Group efforts obviously weren't his thing and things obviously didn't go his way - which might be for the better. Not just that, Will was obviously going to make it. Blake wondered just how pissed the demon boy would be when he learned Blake tried to fry his skull. The existential thought also occurred to Blake that Will might have understood. Would that not be depressing? If he was saved only to wish he wasn't? This entire transformation was dreaded so much. What if Blake was doing him a favor? The scene between Jess and Will made this hard to believe, but it was a lot to think about for Blake regardless. "This is why I work alone... Blake muttered.

"They deserve no less," replied Lexi, following Superman into the teleporter. "I can understand - psychos, mass murderers or even alien terrorists - being killed to save a million. But one of our own? We are United Nations-authorized peacekeepers - not mercenaries."

She grumbled internally, once Old Man Wayne, had 'wagged his finger' at her - like some irridant child. She replied in kind to his gesture on the comm. "You know Bruce, as well as I - that you'd have reacted the same way, upon having one our own attempt to kill someone, a League member at that. And it was set to stun anyway..."

An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. Blake did what he thought was right... even though the league had already voted to allow Will a choice to live. Rai turned the lights out, finding that letting Will be in the dark would be a better option than trying to let him rest in a lit room. Will's body began finishing it's change. His physiological changes moving more twards the insides. He did change on the outside slightly, his horns growing more pronounced, nails elongating into elegant claws and his eyelashes growing thicker. He looked like a porceline doll, beautifully glass as markings began spreading up his collar past his shirt. Rai curiously unbuttoned the shirt to find Will's roadmap of scars still prominent, but covered in black inky markings. His chest was relativly bare and the marks were more of a full sleeve on both arms, his back was covered down to the botom of his ribs and across his collar bone.

Greater demon don't you think Isroh?

No way Will's gonna get stronger than I am right off the bat!?

Looks like it.

Rai decided to leave Will alone once she noticed a slight twich in his facial features.

Diana rolls her eyes.
So what. How were we to know he'd be so well controlled?

You do have a point. I've never seen a newborn this well controlled. Two cups of blood and he's content. And he was able to hug Jess without shredding her. He is truly a remarkable demon. He has the possibility of becoming a devil one day should he manage to kill the one that created him.

He is still a monster, but now he's stuck this way. Come on Blake, lets leave them with that thing.

He's still your son. He remembers himself and not nears as much of him was lost as I thought would be. He remembers you and you're indiffrence. and as much as you'd like to beleive so, he did not ask for this. I beleive it is fairly obvious he'd like to live.

"Forget it Rai, Wonder Woman is as stubborn as I am, if not more stubborn." Superman said and glanced to Diana."If you want to come with our little party to Gotham to visit with Bruce then you're welcomed to. But if you're going to complain about Will all the way there, don't bother. Your choice."

Bruce gave no reply to Lexi. The comms stayed silent. He had no desire to debate with petulant youth. Who he would speak to, however, was Superman: "Clark, let him go with Diana. He chose her way for a reason. He thought it was right. We need that type of diversity in this new generation. Diana will teach him when to act if she needs to. But, we can't coddle them forever. I will speak to the others once you arrive. But, you and I need to talk privately before that. No comms. No League. Man to man."

Blake stopped upon hearing Wonder Woman call him. Something about her pulled him away. Maybe it was his affinity for strong women. Maybe she reminded him of his mother. Maybe it was just because he saw her way more than theirs. Either way, he stopped and stepped back. "I think I'll say here, sir. Go on without me," he replied.

Jess was slightly surprised when will hugged her, and she hugged him back before he let go. As he slipped once more into the death-like state that was his unconsciousness she turned to the tech announcement. "Now who in the hell–?"

Nightwing smiled. "Ah, good ol' Bruce," he said as he turned to Jessica. "Jess, Lara, the Batman wants to see us. And it's pretty important that we see him soon because he's just taken his medication and–"

Jes stopped him. "Say no more, Dad. I'm willing to go and see Bruce." She had decided at a young age that Grandfather, Papa, Grandpa, or whatever else you would call a grandfather would not work for Bruce, so she simply just called him "Bruce".

Luke arrived once again, just as everything was settling down. Groaning, he leaned against the door frame, opposite from where Vincent was standing. Setting the duffle bag he carried at his feet, he pouted, seeming to not even notice the weight of the backpack still strapped in place. "I just keep missing all of the fun." Nudging the bag with his foot, he cast a glance towards the chick who seemed to be in charge of everything. "Expired blood, and a few donations that were turned away. Something about potential pathogens or disease or something?" Shrugging he slid the backpack around one shoulder. "This is some of the stuff my mother had around. Don't ask me why, I won't tell you lies." Although all things considered, it probably couldn't be anything good. "There's one in here, marked with green, that she said something about having poison in. Nightshade specifically. Not sure if that matters to you guys or not."

"Role-call for everybody to visit Old Man Wayne, last call on the Zeta-Beam!" yelled Lexi, knowing if this many people were summoned to visit Bruce or were planning to go to him anyway, it be best to visit as a group rather than as individuals. Especially since he got more grumpier, when people bothered him too often. And in this case, it be better for everybody to get their troubles over together, rather than each one complaining to Bruce - and him kicking them out.

Will remained in his suspended sleep. Rai perked. Is it nessicary I see daddy bats? I'd like to remain with Will just in case he wakes again. Isroh do you want to go fill in for me?

Shit yeah! I get to go meet THE batman! Think I can get him to sign somthing!? Rai groans, rolling her eyes.

What!? I've been a fan since I was a kid! I remember I had a poster in my room. and-

You know he's not nessicarly a young bat anymore. You've been dead for five years and burning for anywhere from ten to fifteen.

No way! Oh well. Old coot's still cool! Isroh laughed running off to his room and finding a vintage batman poster. He rolled it up and decided to take a sharpie as well, following Superman and Lexi.

----

Wonder woman found her way into the living room, Sitting down on the couch, running her hands through he hair from the stress. Her son was a monster and resented her. How the hell was she to know he hadn't made himself a demon on purpose!? Kid drives me mad somtimes.

"The teleporter is good for at least a couple of more people, no worries Lexi." He assured his cousin with a light hearted grin. The light surrounded them and he shut his eyes against it. The sensation of dropping at very high speed consumed him and suddenly he felt a stop. He opened his eyes and glanced around. Rain...nothing but a cold city and rain, it seemed they were in the right place. He huffed out and put his hands on his hips."Always hated this place. It's so gloomy." He glanced to the side and as he waited for Lexi, he got on the communicator and decided to call up a familiar face."Supergirl, calling Supergirl." He said.

Clara Kent was in her apartment, laying on her comfortable red couch. She was thinking about what's lately going on with the Justice League. Clara hasn't been there since ever. She scratched her elbow as she hears a voice from somewhere. Somewhere probably in the kitchen or in her bedroom. Clara checked in both of the rooms where she thought a notice was occurring. Luckily she located the sound from a communicator, laying on the floor right besides her Supergirl costume. Clara walked to the communicator and heard a known voice. She smiled as she responded back to the communicator. "Supergirl's here. What's the situation?"

One minute they were meant to be getting blood and readying up to potentially fight a Demonic version of Will, and the next half the league was going to visit old man Wayne. Brian simply went back to the medical cot he'd been resting in before-hand, and while he was healing up thanks to the tech, he still didn't feel nearly in peak condition. "Think I'll stick around," He'd spoken, more to Rai and those nearest to her. "In case demon boy wakes up and decides he's hungry, sounds like you'd likely need help if that happened."

It was three birds with one stone. One, Brian could stay, relax, and heal since Will seemed not likely to be a threat. Two, he didn't have to see the old bat. And three, he was in a position to be lazy while looking like he was being useful. That's a jackpot right there. The man grinned at his own amused thoughts.

Blake followed Wonder Woman through the base. He wasn't sure what to do, but he certainly felt more comfortable with her than in a room with someone he tried to 'kill' and others that defended him. Besides, it was likely best to leave Will alone anyway. Even if he wanted to try to kill him again, he might end up waking him up, which wouldn't pan out well for anyone granted the lack of League members. Of course, Wonder Woman was there, but he was fairly sure she wouldn't go as far as to defy the League twice. "They all irritate me, honestly. They wanted to put it to a vote, but what leadership is there? The vote was only called to favor those wanting to save Will, not to test true democracy. What if those that voted to kill him would have won? There was a shield in place and one girl called a Tartarus protocol. That doesn't even begin to touch the fact that we are going to be nursing a demon while trying to fight the League of Assassins..." Blake responded. He crossed his arms as he sat down across from Wonder Woman. He vented to her as much a she did to him, although there was something lacking in him. An odd sense of being upset or sympathy. Unlike the others, he wasn't upset because he didn't get his way. It wasn't that he was the minority, either. Hell, it wasn't even that they stopped him. Blake was upset because the system was broken and the leadership was weak. It was inhumanly cold in a way. Wonder Woman had worked with Starfire before, too. She was an Alien from a warrior culture. They could all be cold and ruthless, and it seemed to shine inside of Blake.

"It's why I work alone. This just wastes time. The League has tried to give me partners and it just doesn't work. The only decent one was a Green Lantern, but she recalled to Oa..." Blake rambled on. And, there it was, too. HIs humanity. His more logical rants turned into emotional ones where his frustration overrode his logic.

@Demonhunter

Meanwhile, in Gotham...

Bruce waited in the cave for the others. It had changed over the years. At one point, it was half-hollow; full of some of the most technologically advanced gear in the world alongside some of the memorabilia from previous crimes and criminals. Now, the collection had expanded vastly and included at least a dozen bat suits, including some prototypes that hadn't been tested. Something Nightwing was supposed to get around to doing, but it just never came around. In addition to the new gear, the Batcave was probably the only place on Earth that had more alien technology and advanced computer systems than the Watchtower itself. The computer console that Bruce once used was expanded into a semi-circle of curved screens with several terminals and enough networking power to run the internet itself ten times over - and that just scratched the surface of human technology. Even this moment, Bruce was watching every camera in Gotham - ranging from privately-owned security cameras in big banks and small family-owned shops to traffic cameras a alike. Nothing in this city went unnoticed by him. He could even see where the teleporter dropped off the heroes in the city. He didn't permit even the League to teleport directly into the Batcave, so they had to take one of the alternate entrances and he intended to watch them every step of the way there. "Hmph. Kids don't respect the atmosphere," he mumbled with a sardonic groan.

Yes please do Brian. I may need you.Keep him well fed, The second he gets hungry enough, those copper circlets won't hold. Rai mentions. Then she heard the other boy mentioned he'd found lots of blood supply. Thanks luke. Don't worry about pathogens or toxins. We're immune. She set the multiple packets of blood in the fridge. I'm going to go do some reading on this. I've only helped three demons through this and none of them were greater demons. Just keep him fed. And with that Rai was off to her room, flipping through books that must have been ancient for answers.

Wonder Women nods in agreement.
They think preservation of one life should be priority. And they do need a leader. I believe that is why you should stay. Diana simply claimed after the other finished his venting.

Damien had camoflauged himself well, hiding in the overlap between the rift and the real world. He'd decided to pay his beautiful demon a visit now that the devil was out of the room. It set off no alarms since technically he wasn't in the tower at all... Just walking through the rift, watching the occurances of the earth in the exact same concordances. Rai, in addition to being a devil, was well in tune with the rift. She'd have no problem detecting his presence... But since the cat was away, the rat would play.

Damien leaned over his previous victim, deciding to torment and tempt him. The closer he could drive him to madness the more likley Will would become a slave to him.He worked like a wisper, implanting ideas in the newborns head, then urging him awake.
You smell blood... Why wait on them to give you some?

Damien tempted. The lights flickered ever so slightly from the strain speech took on the bond between rift and relm. Just take it straight from the vein... it tastes so much sweeter. You are a top predator here, they're just lambs for the slaugher... kill them. Will set up suddenly, glancing up at Brian, eyes shining metalic crimson, claws scraping along the metal of the table like nails on a chalk board. He swore he could hear Brian's heartbeat and it was just calling for him. His new vision highlighted every vein in the other's body in bright lilac. A low hiss escaped him as he fought the temptation, the lights flickering again as Damien moved. Will could not see the demon king, but he could hear him.

@Crono @Sir Les Paul @9OClubs

The sound Vincent made was almost too musical to be a growl, although it was no less threatening as he pushed off the wall. His voice too, echoed with something else as he reached across the two planes. "Be gone, pale imitation of a serpent." Fairly gliding forward, the angel put himself between the weakened demon and the other. His stance had changed, from the easy relaxed to weary, ready for a fight with one hand back on the strap of his violin case, silver eyes fixed on Will. His voice however, drifted easily through to its target. "Devil, demon, whichever. Would you care to bring blood? Your newly wakened faces temptation."

"Now Lexi, you aren't planning to take over Gotham by buying it out, are ya?" Superman asked his cousin in a teasing tone and grinning to her."While I do agree that Gotham has surreal feel to it, I do prefer the bright and sunny Metropolis." He said to her."But different strokes for different folks.." He glanced to one of the many security cameras."Speaking of different folks, I think the old bat's watching us." He observed in a calm tone and grinned, winking at the camera and thus at Bruce.

Batgirl teleports into a random spot in Gotham after choosing not to use the override code to the device Bruce uses to block the teleporter from teleporting to the Batcave that Barbara taught her. She instantly figures out where in the city she is located and the quickest paths to the Batcave. "I should say hi to Alfred 3 and Ace". She flies quickly through Gotham and lands right outside Wayne Manor where she is quickly greeted by a barking dog. "Hi Ace, do you want a treat?" Ace begs for the treat and then Batgirl pulls out a dog treat and tosses it to Ace. "Good boy Ace" she says as she pulls down her mask and smiles at the dog. She walks into the mansion with Ace following her in. She closes the dog after Ace walks in and then walks into tv room where she spots the cat sitting on the couch. "Hi Alfred tough day huh". She picks up the Alfred off the couch and pets him a little before putting him on the floor. "You know you are not supposed to be on the couch naughty kitty". She uses one of the secret entrances into the cave and then slowly walks towards Bruce.

"Not really. Old Bats wouldn't let me," chuckled Lexi "He had a bad mouth, when Luthor tried it once. Still - I help the city pay its bills, doesn't hurt. Plus, Gotham is a great place for military research..."

"Kidding, kidding," giggled Lexi. "Only weapons I ship anymore, is high-tech armor and non-lethal weaponry to the GCPD - below market price. So the average cop here won't get turned into swiss cheese, by the next crazy asylum escapee. You wanna see, a video on how Diceman got wrecked by the new decked-out GCPD SWAT?"

"What do you mean?" Blake asked. He looked to Wonder Woman for the first time since he started venting. He was quite sure after this 'emergency' was over, he would be returning to his solo hero routine. Single missions carried out under high priority. Blake acted for the most part without bias and with extreme prejudice. It made him effective for the type of missions other League members would question. If anything, Blake was part of the darker side of the League. The part that got things done regardless of the cost because they needed to be done.
