Fandom Justice League: The End

Luke shifted out of the way when Wonder Woman herself came in, something like awe flickering over her features. At least until she started talking. The very idea that a mother wouldn't love her son, wouldn't move heaven and earth to save him, to protect him, was enough to floor the young man whose mother had poured her own heart and soul into his survival as a newborn. Shaking his head slightly he cast something of a pitying glance at the boy laid out on the table. "I don't know him, so I don't know if it counts. I think we should let him choose." Choose between a new set of powers and death, not between rising as a monster and death.

Vincent had drifted back now that he had seen the damage, and more accurately the apparent leads discomfort. He would discuss that with her later, when things were calm. "Let him rise, and choose for himself his own fate." The damage was already done after all, and the boy was hardly a demon by choice. That would count for something in his decision.

Jacen Dent walked through the streets of Gotham, Some of his men following him. He walked into the amuesment park, waiting for some other Villians. He quickly pulled up his Legion of Doom radio. "Hello! I am wondering about your next attack. I've just- Caught up. My dad has told me a lot about you."

"This is the Justice League," Blake shouted. Right after he did, he shot two Starbolts into each other, creating a potent, albeit small explosion that radiated heat throughout the room. "Not a pity party or a senate chamber. I'm not going to stand here any longer and listen to this. I don't want to see anyone die, but there is a decision to be made here and it won't satisfy everyone. Fact is, his culture is different from all of ours; he is the son of Wonder Woman. I can tell you as the son of an Alien - not that I'm the only one - that everything changes when your parents aren't exactly your standard human beings. But culture doesn't define everything. Justice isn't exclusive to one culture. The League does not stand solely for the values of Themyscira," he continued to shout, this time delving into a short speech directed at Wonder Woman.

"The solution before us is not a difficult one. We won't kill him; that's hardly justice and quite frankly I don't care about pleasing a princess. My mother is Princess to an entire planet, not just one tiny island. The remaining options are to cure him or let him change. Without his consent, the most logical solution is to search for a cure. The reasoning is simple: if he wants to become a Wendigo, he can later at his own volition. If wakes up and decides being a demonic parasite is right up his alley, so be it. But, for now, logic and justice dictate that we try and fix this before its too late. If he wakes up and says otherwise, then so be it," Blake finished his rant with a Starbolt burning in his hand. Heat poured off the bolt and into the room, as would a form of ultraviolet radiation.

"Are there any objections?" Blake asked with a slight smirk.

Rai glanced down at Will'd body, picking up his hand. His nails had already turned black, as if they'd been polished. Even if there was a cure. We are much too late for it. His anatomy as already began to change. We need to focus on preparing for when he wakes up. I believe it's safe to say that the vote to let him change is almost unanimous. We're going to need to have some people visit hospitals all around here and ask for spare blood. Doen't matter if it's slightly expired. It'll take about 600 units to keep him fed to a bearable level. Rai rolld up Will's sleeves, revealing a half sleeve of markings. He was going to be one hell of a demon.

Diana was furious, red in the face.
You said it your self, He's going to be miserable. Why are we going to allow him to either be in massive amounts of pain or to wipe out half this damned city!

It's a pain that can be managed. Besides, I havn't wiped out an entire city yet. I don't think you truly have his best intest in mind from the sound of it.

I have everyone's best interest in mind. needs of the many over the needs of an individual! and if he's going to become a blood guzzling monster we can't ever allow him to see the light of day again.

Owch, geeze lady. You're seriously a crazy bitch! I'd love to see what were to happen if your daughter were in the same situation. How quickly might your attitude change.

Quiet you insolent man!

Enough! Diana, We no longer need your presence if you refuse to be helpful. She set the box on a nearby table and began looking for a needle and some suture string. Wether you like it or not, Your son gets to live-er- remain in existence.

Everyone's rage tward her was driving Diana mad! She just couldn't understand why they didn't see that letting Will become a monster would be the worse decision. That's not my son, that's a monster. As if he weren't one already.

Rai frowned and simply pointed her tward the door, kindly escorting her out o the medical bay. Well... that went great. Alright. I need a shit ton of blood and copper bindings.

Isroh seemed slightly nervous, shifting slightly. Rai, in all seriousness, can we handle him? Rai was silent, considering her awnser. she wanted to be honnest, but the honnest answer wasn't a great one. If we prepare fo it right.

Well thats reassuring.

Blake interjected with a single question, "Just how long has he been turned?" The smirk on his face had vanished in favor of a more serious, stern look. He didn't like that there was no cure, but he was sure there happened to be an option.

The angel shifted, turning a curious gaze away from Diana to consider the body on the table. "And how long do we have before the change is complete and he rises?"

Jess growled low in her throat and made for the door as Diana left the room. Nightwing placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. "Relax, kiddo," he whispered in her ear. "You made your point and you did it well. Now help your friend come out of it."

Jess seemed to deflate and relax at her father's words, and nodded, turning around and walking back to the table. "I have a couple of thick copper bracelets in my room," she said, nodding. "How much blood do you need, Rai? Because Gotham State Pen's inmates are ready to be drained. Not fatally, but enough. I can absolutely give some of my own blood if needed." She rested her hands on the table, and looked at her Friend's next-to-dead body. I love you will. You've been the best friend I could ask for. Please, don't change too much on me.... I might not be able to bear it... She looked at Rai. "I can start the blood collection. Skylar can go into my room and grab the bracelets from my dresser –he's the only one I trust in there– and please, sky, don't go through my anything."

Nightwing couldn't help a chuckle at his daughter's words. "I can start gathering blood unless you need me for the tech aspect, although I'm sure Miss Luthor could handle that just fine."

Superman was silent for a long moment as Diana walked out and he looked at Lexi, lightly bapping her arm with a grin. "Nice to see you among the living, cousin." He said in a cheery tone. He glanced to the side at the open door."Be right back." He said in a murmur and walked out, hurrying to catch her in the hallway. "Wonder Woman, wait. I need to talk to you."

Everyone gave their opinions on the matter, and Brian found himself doing what he rarely did. The man held his tongue, or he was biting it really. To keep himself from talking, Wonder Woman was quickly ostracized for hers even if blunt and emotionless. Brian was opposed to letting Will come back, if it was Brian he'd rather someone end his suffering before he came back. But this wasn't him, this was another person, and yet Brian still held onto that answer. In his opinion many were too emotionally attached and not thinking clearly, but the moment he said this he'd be the asshole who wished Will was dead.

Not that it really mattered as the subject seemed settled, to which he considered helping by getting some blood but wasn't sure if flying was viable for him in his current state. So he took a step back and sat down in a chair by the wall, instead he was just content on watching for now.
The shroud grinned and put his gun back into his coat."You have no idea who I am either, so let me introduce you to your worst nightmare." He said in that cheesy deep voice."You and you ilk are cancerous, and I am the cure! Judgement has come for you, criminal!" He stated, drawing his grappel gun out and shot the string right at Ace.
Petunia snapped the grapple out of the air and shook it back and forth like a dog with a sock. Ace used the momentum from her lashings to spring over Shroud's head and landed behind him. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a small sac of powder and took a hand full out. "Sleepy?" He said, blowing the pollen through the air.

Shroud grit his teeth as the plant caught his grapple in mid air. He saw Ace jump over him and swung a shooting taser out of his free hand and glared."Are you..? " he asked, shooting the string with prongs attached right at Ace while the male was blowing his powder, aiming to shock the boy into unconsciousness.

Rai watched as the markings began trailing up Will's arm. At the rate he's going about 6 hours. give or take an hour or two. Assuming he was taken the instant he walked out the door, hes been dead for about an hour already. '

We need to prevent degratation. We don't want him forgetting himself like I did.

Right. Isroh, I need you to go find some of his music. Surely he's recorded himself a few times. Play familiar things it'll prevent him from losing his mind. I'll take Robin and Bryan to go get the blood from the prisons. Anyone volunteer to ask the hospitals for their extra stock?

Rai pulled her cloak around her waist, heels of her boots clacking along the ground as her hair began to shift from black to blonde, her eyes shifted from crimson to cyan. She was rebuilding her more human disquise, letting Jenna's face show through once again.

----

Diana growled beneath her breath as Superman seemed to want to talk. You want to yell at me for not loving him too? She groaned, glaring back at him. Look, I know its supposedly wrong for me to just... feel... nothing. I never felt anything tward him. But you can't force me to feel love for him. No one can. I just don't. Diana couldn't understand why she didn't love her son either, but it'd been this way since he was born! She just felt indiffrent. He simply existed to her. People had told her that when she would have a baby she'd love it unconditionally, but she just didn't feel that. Tward Serena she did, but for some reason she felt there was a mistake with Will. Like there was somthing wrong with him.

Surprise flashed across Vincent's features, both that the boy laid out was a musician and that he could loose himself. "Humans can lose the sense of self during the transition?" Angels, when they fell, did not. They forever retained the memories, the knowledge of what they had lost when they were cast out of heaven. They also retained the memories of those who had cast them out, or forced them into that state. Shaking his head slightly, he looked to the boy, his hand shifting on his case. "If all else fails, I can attempt to play his style of music. A classical instrument would be best." It would be a convenient way to stay around too, just in case he had need to draw his blades before the newly risen demon could be set loose.

***

Luke was under no such incentive to stay. He would rather be useful, so he raised his hand slightly. "I can start going around to the hospitals." Letting his hand fall back he let a grin pass over his features. "I'll ask my mother if she has anything laying around. I don't think you wanna know where that comes from though." It was generally better not to ask Poison Ivy how, or why, she had blood laying around.

Ace felt the shock and he gave a loud yell of agony, but he grit his teeth as his vision faded in and out. "Not... Today...." He grinned and laughed, closing his eyes as a large plant spore in the shape of a man sprouted from the ground behind Shroud.

Jess nodded, eyes softening. "There's something else in my room.... A drawing that I drew for Will when he was captured. It was after I gave up hope for ever seeing him again.... I never Gabe it to him, but... It might help."

Jess looked towards the man (Vincent) and her heart melted a little at his soft and kind disposition. He was almost.... Angelic.

She looked towards he door and closed her eyes as she felt a wave of calm wash over her for an unknown reason. "I... I'll be with you in a moment.... I have to do something." She walked out of the room with a swish of her cape that would have made Batman proud and straight up to Diana. Her eyes were softer now, and her voice was quiet.

"Diana...." She said, voice barely audible. "I am sorry for yelling at you the way I did. It was wrong, I should have kept my head. I want you to know that I admire your good traits as a being and as a Woman of incredible strength with little to no fear..." She looked at the ground. "In my anger I forgot that you grew up in a society where men were extremely downrated, and it was my blindness that made me yell at you for being who you are and how you were raised." She looked back up into Diana's eyes, her unmasked blue ones meeting the Themysciran warrior's with true sadness and calmness. "Please, forgive me for that. I don't want to cause You any untoward greif." She turned around and walked to her own room, grabbing a spare belt, mask, and boots from her closet before walking back into the meeting room with a heroic aura. "I'm ready to go."

Superman was not the happiest boy at Diana right now and her words only flamed that fire. "I'm well aware that you don't love Will, but I haven't caught you in the hallway for that pleasant little talk." He said and walked up to her."Your daughter, Serena...why does she look like me?" He asked in the calmest tone he could manage, despite his growing frustrations. "My father...The first Superman said I was an only child and my mother died. Is that true?" He asked with narrowed eyes. There was no way Serena was Wonder Woman's child AND resembled him unless there was a missing connection. He turned his head and saw Jess come out. He shot her a tiny smile and watched as she talked with Diana before going on her way.

The Shroud felt that it was the right time. He twirled, ducking right under the sleeping powder and swung up in an attempt to deck Ace right in the side of his jaw to finish him off. His eye was on the man shaped spore sprouted out of the ground. In one quick motion, he drew his gun with his free hand and starter firing at the human shaped thing.

Batgirl felt uncomfortable with the whole getting blood thing so she silently looked through files trying to find a cure and even contacting Dr Mid-Nite Pieter Cross an expert in meta-human medicine and some experts in magic for some advice on the situation.Batgirl punches a monitor in frustration since nothing she done so far has gotten her any closer to finding a cure for the transformation. "Why I can't I find anything to help him? I've tried searching through science and magic and they both have given me nothing that can help him" Batgirl whispers to herself as she walks out of the room feeling defeated.

Superman thinned his mouth. The truth shouldn't have surprised him but it did more than that. It raised a whole lot of questions both about him and Serena in general. He did connect the dots, it was no wonder he felt a sense of closeness and competition whenever Serena was around. Blood or not, Serena was his sister and that meant Wonder Woman.."How long are you going to wait to tell her? I think anyone who's related to Superman would like to know their connection to the Man of Steel...my father." He said."She deserves a chance to know."

A spark of curiosity had crossed Vincent's face at the medium that the music was held on, as well as the piece that came out although that was a road to be followed later. For now he turned his attention to the lesser of the conscious demons. Tilting his head to the side he spoke with little inflection beyond the lilting accent, although it did not seem sarcastic or mocking exactly. "Did you think that I carried some other item than a violin in my violin case?" He supposed it was entirely possible. As it was though, he was making no effort to hide it's presence.

Tilting his gaze to encompass the demon, and the other hero who had addressed him he straightened slightly, including his head forward so that the silken hair rolled over his shoulder. "please, address me as Vincent, Angel, or Sereph. I am an angel of music, part of the eagle host in the angelic choir."

Luke grinned at Jess, rather assuming she had gotten done up into costume to go for blood with him. He himself hadn't bothered to change beyond swapping the short leather jacket for a longer one that seemed to have a number of intricate designs seen into the liner. The mask that would cover from nose to chin dangled in one hand. "We doing the blood run then? I think musician is staying here." Musician being a reference to Vincent who had made no effort to be ready to leave. Actually, he had leaned against the wall with the added room people leaving brought.

Quite frankly, Blake was somewhat frustrated with the Justice League as it was. This string of moments seemed chaotic and unorganized. Completely different than what he was accustomed to, and he had been an official member for three years. Normally, it was assignment after assignment, vacations here and there, training potentially, maybe even meet one of the originals or get to shake hands with a legend. That type of thing. It was rare that anyone was excited to meet Blake, and if they were, it was mostly because they were friends of his parents'; his mother still held the hearts of many, apparently, and his father was a very well-received man.

So, he stood there in silence. The heat from his hands slowly faded away and so did his passion for the moment. He just stopped caring. Honestly, he didn't know the person on the table. If there was no cure like he thought, then the last remaining curio was either to kill the guy or let him change - neither of which were ideal. Demons were pesky things, primarily because of their unpredictability. Although in this case, it seemed like there was some knowledgeable individuals about this particular breed. The limelight on Blake was gone, and he didn't mind it. He wasn't much for this disarray.

He didn't find himself taking interest in anything until a later moment. Blake was naturally pragmatic and the frustration of Batgirl spawned an idea. The conversation between her and Isroh had pointed Blake in a slightly different direction. If there was no cure and his transition was impending, what they needed to do was make the six hours of transition have the least amount of impact on the body as possible. Blake found himself leaning against a wall beside Batgirl and Isroh, otherwise unnoticed and overhearing them. His arms were crossed and he let them finish their chat before he interrupted.

"Batgirl, is it? I believe we're approaching this from the wrong angle. Let's assume that this change is inevitable and that we aren't going to 'put him out of his misery', as some are saying. Others are preparing for the outcome with blood, but I think there is something we can do. Six hours, right? What if we chilled the body? Chilled the brain? Ran a current through it, even? Medicine can do amazing things, including halt the destruction of brain cells and neurons after brain death. Not only that, we aren't looking at all our options. Telepaths, magic - specifically necromancers. Maybe just something to stall time. Any and all of these things could keep that person - whom I admittedly don't know - closer to the same person you knew before he died. I say we get him off that table and into a freezer somewhere and see what resources are at our disposal. Every moment is a lost memory, so we should stop wasting time," he explained to her in a calm, nonchalant voice.

Diana shook her head. As soon as the shit Will got himself into blows over. She's got a brother who's managed to get himself killed, she doesn't need any more truth bombs dropped on her. Diana spoke as if she blamed Will for his situation... then again she sort of blamed Will for all of the problems that happened to him.

Isroh smirked.
Well, Will had two cello cases, one of his cello and the other he used to carry his shit in. So I had to ask. Isroh seemed not to be alarmed that the other was an angel. He was too young to know to be weary. Honestly the only thing we can do is hope he doesn't absolutely lose it when he wakes up. Demons are all chaos, so theres no telling what he will and wont remember when he wakes up. He pulled Will's body up to check on somthing. Then the angel introduced himself. Oh, Hey, Rai told me about angels! But she didn't describe them as being very nice... she has some wings mounted on the walls in her room that she cut off of one who tried to kill her. Isroh then realized that was probably not a good choice of words. Sorry. Name's Isroh. Nothing fancy, just a lesser demon who managed to create his own brand of magic.

Superman folded his arms over his chest and shot a glare at Diana."Whether you like it or not, Will is Justice League and we aren't just going to end his life because the solution to his problem isn't apparent yet. I'm not going to make the same mistakes you guys made." He said."I'm going to be better than dad."

"Superman, you got some time? I want to talk with you, over a few things," spoke Lexi, soon arriving in the hallway - where Diana and Superman were - her arms left cybernetic arm crossed over the other. A nasty glare aimed at Diana - she disliked bad parents, because her upbringing had been basically in a glass-tube. As such with Will get the ignore-stick, cause of her mother' stuck-up upbringing - well... that didn't sit well with Lexi, any or either way.

"Its related to a few our missions things..."
