They had her stay after the biopsy the following day, just one more night for observation because she was in so much pain but Clay had had to leave after visiting hours were done. The kids were all still up with their abuela by the time he got home and Bea jumped up off the couch, running over and reached up to be picked up "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" She squealed happily.

Jon nodded and smiled some, "I like that... Tallulah was always a name I wanted to use." He told her, "But hey... this thing works out and we have more then we can use them as back up." He chuckled.

Max smiled widely and nodded some "I love that name actually, I think we could definitely use it as back up if everything goes well." She said happily and soon gave him her order once they got to the restaurant.

Clay walked into his mother's place after visiting hours ended smiling happily once Bea ran over to him "Hey princess." He said tiredly before picking her up and hugging her close "Where are your siblings?"

Bea pointed to the lounge, "Watching movie." She told him, holding onto him tightly, "I wanted cuddle puppy." She smiled, giving a big yawn and held him tightly as they made their way to go find everyone else.

He smiled and had her get them a table, going to put their order in then waited a bit and went to sit with her, "Hoe's he doing then? All healthy and normal? What about you? Everything going okay?" HE asked her, digging into his burger like he hadn't eaten in days

Clay smiled softly and held her close whule he walked into the lounge smiling as his other kids swarmed over to hug him "Hey guys hey..big hugs!" He said happily hugging each one tight and kissing their forehead "Thats from your mom."

Max sat down and smiled happily giving a small nod as she started to eat her fries "He is good, they're watching my weight a bit. Said I'm close to goal weight and if I go over then I'll have to go on bedrest." She murmured before giving a small shrug "But I feel okay, my feet are swelling which is a pain in my ass."

Javi frowned when Carmen wasn't with him, "Where is mommy? I made her drawing." He told him, tugging on his trousers to get his attention, "Daddy we going home?" He asked him as they were all sharing bedrooms at their abuela's house.

"I think young man that it's time for one more night with me okay? All you kids, up to get ready for bed, your father will tuck you in shortly." She told them, watching Bea scramble to get down and waited til she was out of earshot, "Talk to me, how's she doing? I can't believe they won't let you stay tonight." She muttered

Jon frowned some, "What do you mean close? Like you're under?" He asked her a little worried, "And you got your own personal foot massager tonight." He smiled, taking a sip of his drink.

Max smiled some and shook her head a bit "No no, there is a goal weight for when you're 9 months. Baby is growing a little faster than planned. If he gets any bigger I might have to go on bed rest." She explained

Clay sent them off and smiled softly before he looked at his mother with heart broken eyes "We get the results in three days....she wasn't doing too well today.." he said softly

She frowned a little and hugged him tightly. “Go get some sleep. I don’t know which child is in your old room. But you need the rest too.” She pointed out.

Javi was in his room with the girls all sharing the other one and he was sat up in bed looking at photos “Daddy can I stay with you?” He asked him.

Jon nodded some and gave her hand a squeeze. “Alright. You tell me anything you need okay?” He assured her. “Want my girl and my kid safe and healthy.” He smiled, kissing her knuckles.

Clay gave a small nod and walked up to his old room smiling softly when he saw Javi in there. He kissed his son's head and gave a small nod "Of course you can bud, how are you?" He asked softly as he sat on his old bed

Max gave a small nod and smiled "We will be." She said happily before she began to eat her burger. Once they had finished and started on their way back home she felt a little strange shaking her head some "Jon pull over....I'm gonna be sick.."

Javi shrugged a bit. “I’m kinda sad that our little sister died. Even though we didn’t meet her yet.” He told him, looking at photos, frowning at the one of carmen and clay, before carmen had a single tattoo. “Who is that lady? I thought you said you always dated mommy.” He frowned.

Jon put his hazards in and pulled right over, getting out and opening her door for to get her some fresh air for one and so she could be sick on the grass verge instead. “You okay?” He asked softly, rooting around in the door pocket for a water bottle.

Max got out quickly and went into the grass before puking up everything she had eaten for the day. She panted softly and took the napkin Jon had in his hand quickly wiping her mouth "I'm so sorry.....I guess he doesn't like In N Out..." she said quietly before sitting back in the car

Clay nodded some and sighed heavily "I know bud, it'll be okay though I promise." He murmured laughing lightly as he pointed at Carmen "That is mommy, before she got her tattoos. She wasn't born with them." He said giving a small laugh and kissing the top of his head

Javi stared at it, going a little bug eyed. “But her lips are so small and her eyebrows are different.... is mommy okay?” He asked him and put the photo album down, cuddling in close to his dads side.

Jon frowned and got her napkins and water to help her out. “No you’re good. Take your time babe.” He murmured, rubbing her back gently and kissed her head. “You ready to go back and have a nap?” He asked her.

Clay laughed lightly and nodded "Yeah they are but its her I assure you." He murmured giving a heavy sigh when he asked how Carmen was "She is okay buddy, she'll be okay." He said softly

Max sipped the water and took a deep breath giving a nod "Yeah that sounds great." She said softly before turning to get in the car fully and buckle up

He nodded and started yawning, stretching out and taking up nearly half the bed before falling asleep holding onto him.

Jon smiled and kissed her cheek, shutting the door for her, going round to the drivers side and got in, taking them back to his, helping her out and into the house, leaving his bags by the front door for now and taking her straight up to his room to go take a nap

Clay smiled softly and moved to lay on the floor with a pillow and blanket falling asleep.

Max smiled softly as she layed in his bed for the first time since their night all those months ago.

Carmen woke up late into the morning the next day to Clay already there and on his computer, just frowning a little. “Hey... what time did you get here?” She mumbled. She’d only fallen asleep around four after she finally got a reprieve from the cramps and pain. She was feeling sore now from everything but nothing as bad as yesterday.

Jon smiled and kissed her head, pulling her in close and gently. “Mmmm it’s nice to be home.” He murmured and kissed her nose.

Clay looked over at her and gave a small smile "Well visiting hours start at 6 ... so 5:30." He murmured softly to her moving to sit next to her "How are you feeling?"

Max woke up a few hours later to Jon walking out of the restroom with a towel around his waist another around his neck while he dried off his hair "Mmmm now I could definitely get used to waking up to this."

Carmen smiled and shook her head, “Almost 21 years since you asked me out on a date and you still don’t understand the concept of I won’t think you hate me if you’re here a little late.” She smiled. “I’ve been worse.... they said they were gonna let me go home tonight. We’ll be back in a couple days to talk about results but until then I’m home.” She mumbled.

Jon grinned at her and lightly chucked the towel at her from around his neck. “And this is how we got in this situation to begin with.” He chuckled, going to get his clothes, getting dressed in the bathroom then went to sit with her. “How’s our little man doing?” He asked her.

Clay chuckled softly and smiled happily kissing her gently "I cannot wait to have you home, the kids will be so happy." He said happily before moving to sit with her

Max laughed and smirked a bit "Mmm and thats a problem?" She teased before rubbing her stomach as he came back "He is sleeping right now."

She smiled and leaned into him tiredly. “I’m sure they will... been hanging out with abuela too much. I know they love her but they can only take so much time with her at once.” She pointed out.

Jon smiled and kissed her head. “Mmm, letting you get some chill time I guess.” He murmured. “Did you decide what you want to happen when it’s time? We going to the hospital or being here?”

Clay chuckled softly and smiled some "Yeah that is true, Javi says to tell you that he loves you more than any ice cream in the world and wants you home now." He explained

Max nodded some smiling some "I think a hospital would be best, I would not want to have them and you possibly be out then have to do it here with just a midwife." She explained quietly

She smiled and shook her head. “I want cuddles from all my babies.” She smiled tiredly, waiting til they came with her discharge papers and she let clay sign them while she got changed and headed out to the car with him, finally heading home. “How’s your mom?” She asked him quietly while he drove.

Jon nodded some and placed his hand over hers. “I’m gonna go collect the dogs first thing in the morning. “ he told her.

Clay smiled happily at her and gave a small nod "I'll make sure you get them." He said softly before kissing her cheek gently. After signing the discharge papers he got her in the car as quickly as he could to get them home "She is good, worried about us but she is doing good." He murmured as he drove quietly with her.

Max smiled some and nodded a bit "I'm sorry I couldn't watch them, I just want to make sure they're one hundred percent comfortable with me." She said softly

She nodded. “She heard from your sister recently at all?” She asked him. It was no secret even to their kids that clays sister was an addict who appeared in their lives as much as she disappeared. Often with a new man and once with a child who was quickly removed from her care.

He smiled and nodded. “They like staying with my aunt. I’ll take you to meet her in the morning. I think you’ll like it.” He smiled some. “What do you wanna do for dinner?”

Clay frowned at the mention of his sister and shook his head a bit "Not that I know of, last I heard she was in New Mexico." He murmured giving a small sigh

Max smiled a bit and gave a small nod to him "Definitely not In N Out." She teased giving a small laugh "Um maybe something light? Like maybe make a salad? Or somewhere that sells salads?"

He nodded some and kissed her head. “You got it.” He smiled and just lay back happily. “I’d uh... I’d like you to meet my parents next week.” He told her “They’re gonna be down from DC and they know we’re ha king a kid.”

carmen nodded and squeezed his arm gently. “You’ve done everything you could to help her. But sometimes people just don’t want help.”
