Zach smiled also, the happiness radiating throughout his body. He had never been called special before, or even thought about himself in that manner. In his opinion he was just another average guy. The two boys made their way to their dorm and Zach pulled the door closed behind him. "I think I'm gonna shower and then get some sleep.." he said, hesitantly pulling his hand away from Daniel's. His arm still tingled from the light touch. Zach slipped into the bathroom and turned on the shower, feeling quite exhausted.

Daniel nodded and as soon as he heard the bathroom door click shut he jumped across the room onto his bed, smiling like an idiot. He wriggled around and buried his face in the pillow, then stopped, realizing that girls only freak out about relationships in that way and it probably looked really weird too. He laid face down on his pillow, a foolish grin on his face.

Zach showered quickly, the patience required to thoroughly clean his body quickly forgotten. He stepped out of the shower and, wrapping a towel around himself, study himself in the mirror. The face staring back at him was the one that had always done so, but for some reason it was different. Maybe it was the radiant glow of happiness illuminating his skin. Or perhaps the slight smile on his face, but either way he saw past the imperfections he usually pointed out to himself and just saw himself.

Zach opened the bathroom door and entered back into the main room looking around for his bag. He stood there in nothing but the bath towel wrapped around his waist. "Forgot my clothes.." he explained sheepishly.

Daniel was still face down in the pillow but Zach's words made him curious and he turned his head a bit to the side. He could just see where Zach stood and he admired how normal the boy appeared. He wasn't too muscular, his arms were more than his stomach, and Daniel started imagining running his tongue down Zach's chest, down down down, gripping at the edge of the towel and.... He stopped there, shoving his face back into the pillow.

Zach blushed as Daniel turned around and looked at him. Moving quickly over to his bed and sliding under the covers, Zach closed his eyes and sighed heavily. He was exhausted. Tomorrow was his first day at this extremely prestigious school and he was worried about the impression he would make on people. Luckily though, he had Daniel to walk him to his classes, if he was up for it. After several minutes of fidgeting under the covers Zach finally fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning Daniel woke up to the sound of his alarm, feeling somewhat rested. He hadn't dreamt of anything that he could remember, that was always the case. He managed to get up in a crumpled sitting position, and as he glanced over at his roommate he ran a hand through his dishevelled hair. It wasn't until he fully got out of bed that he realized he was still dressed in yesterday's clothes.

After turning the alarm off, Daniel got dressed. Luckily this school didn't force their students to wear the uniforms, they only needed to wear them on formal occasions such as concerts and other presentations and the occasional field trip. Despite this, the dress code was fairly loose as long as you didn't look like something raised in the streets.

Daniel's alarm had succeeded in waking both of them and Zach rolled over on his side. He kept his eyes squeezed shut and willed the day away, but to no avail, the stubborn morning was here to stay. Groaning a bit, Zach rolled out of bed and pulled on some clothes. When he finished changing, he stumbled his way into the kitchen, grumbling the entire way under his breath about how morning was too bright and how he needed more sleep. Not that it was true, it was mostly just the fact that he wasn't exactly a morning person. In fact morning was his least favorite time of day.

"Coffee," he said as soon as he laid eyes on the other boy. "You need coffee." He got busy with that, then stopped a second later and turned towards Zach. "And maybe a kiss." Whether Zach really needed one of those or not was none of Daniel's concern, he just knew that he himself needed one. Daniel took the two steps to get to Zach quickly and reached forward, hooking his fingers in Zach's belt loops. Pulling him closer, he leaned forward and almost hesitantly kissed him.

Zach jumped at the sound of Daniel's voice and ruffled his own hair a bit. "Coffee.. Yea, that sounds awesome." He was standing there with his eyes closed, but his eyes opened just a bit when he heard Daniel say kiss. They widened as he was kissed then closed again as he kissed the other boy back. He pulled away after a few seconds and nibbled his lower lip a bit, focusing his gaze on his feet. "I needed one of those too.." He looked up and smiled sleepily at Daniel before moving over to the table and sitting down.

A few minutes later the coffee was ready and he placed two cups down on the table before sitting down across from Zach. "I need more than just one, I need like an hour long make out session, but we don't have that much time," he said, ending the phrase with a dramatic sigh. He sipped at the hot coffee, closing his eyes. The caffeine instantly perked him up and he smiled.

Zach inhaled the coffee fumes deeply then let out a shaky breath while laughing quietly. "A make out session! That's a thought," he said, shaking his head while mulling over the thought in his head. It sounded nice but Daniel was right, they didn't have much time. Zach drank a bit of his coffee then smiled at the other boy again. "Your hair is really messed up by the way."

"Yeah, I know," he said, shrugging. He'd need to wet his hair in order for it to be put back in place, it wasn't much of a hassle in his opinion. "I look hot, don't I?" he asked jokingly, reaching his foot out to touch Zach's leg. "But," he added more seriously, smiling behind his coffee cup, "you're hotter."

Zach smiled wider at the compliment then shook his head a bit. "I disagree. You're a lot more attractive than I am." He allowed his eyes to roam over Daniel's body, well as much as they could seeing as the two of them were both sitting down. Zach's smile into more of a playful smirk before he opened his mouth to speak again. "Care to argue?"

"We have time for an argument," he said, leaning his elbows on the table. He took a moment to examine, or admire, Zach's face. "You have really nice eyes," he said after a few seconds, nodding as though it would back up his statement. "But I have nicer hair. And everyone knows that eyes trump hair."

Zach reached out and messed up Daniel's hair even more before sticking his tongue out at him. "Well... You have a cuter smile and smiles trump eyes so.." He moved his hand from the other boy's hair and poked his bottom lip before sitting back in the chair. He was enjoying Daniel's eyes on him.

Daniel sighed, his eyes narrowing. "You have a nicer neck and although nice necks don't trump smiles they are better to kiss," he said matter of factly, standing up. He set his empty cup on the counter and to prove his point he leaned down and kissed Zach's neck. "And so no matter what you say, I will always know that you are the hot one."

Zach blushed then nodded, figuring that it'd be near impossible to win an argument with Daniel. Maybe he'd try again later with a different approach. He stood up and placed his half full cup lightly in the sink and looked at Daniel. "So when do classes start? I think we need to get down there a bit early today..." Zach still didn't have his schedule and he wanted to beat the rush to the main office.

"They start at 9:15," he said, glancing at his watch. "We still have some time. It's only 8:30," he informed Zach while he left the kitchen, crossing through the bedroom to get to the small bathroom. "What time do you wanna go down?"

There were four different classes for each grade and in those classes were a mixture of students with different talents and interests. The last class of the day was always an art, and the other four where whatever you picked before the year started. There were two semesters and the schedules changed depending on semester. Daniel's first schedule looked like this:

9:15-10:15: Gym

10:20-11:20: AP English

11:20-12:20: Lunch

12:30-1:30: AP Science

1:35-2:35: AP Math

2:40-3:40: Art

Zach sat back down at the table and made himself comfortable. He hadn't realized they had so much time until classes started. "I guess we can wait fifteen more minutes," he said with a shrug. He knew his first class was some P.E. class and his last was Guitar but he wasn't sure what was in between those two. He laid his head down on the table and closed his eyes. "I'm gonna get a little more sleep."

"Go for it," he said, walking into the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and fixed his hair and when he was completely done getting ready he put away some more of his things. Then he sat down on his bed, sketchbook in hand, and started drawing. It was a quick sketch of their room, view from the top. Both boys were in the picture, Zach laying in his bed and Daniel sitting in his own.

Zach drifted off into sleep, tired for no good reason. They hadn't even stayed out very long yesterday and yet he was absolutely exhausted. Images of him and Daniel danced across his eyelids as he snored lightly. Hopefully his gentle snoring didn't bother Daniel last night.

When it was time for them to leave Daniel stood up and dropped his sketchbook onto the bed along with the pencil. Before waking Zach up he made sure he had all the stuff he needed, binders, his pencil case, anything else he needed to put in his locker. When that was done he set his bag near the door and then crossed the room to Zach's bed. He could hear a soft snoring and he smiled, the boy looked so peaceful, it was a shame he needed to wake up. Daniel crouched down in front of Zach's face and said a bit loudly, "Wake up."

Zach groaned quietly and opened his eyes, the view of Daniel's face greeting his eyes. Smiling, he reached out and stroked the other boy's cheek before leaning in close. "Am I still asleep? You're way to perfect to be real right now," he whispered sleepily. He opened his eyes a bit more before jumping back as he realized what he was doing. "Oh, wow.. Alright guess it's time to go.." He rolled out of bed and quickly shoved a few books into his backpack.

Daniel was taken aback by Zach's words, he stayed fixed in place for a moment, staring at the spot where Zach had been just seconds before. "No, this is very much the real life," he said finally, standing up mechanically. With the same robotic movements and walked towards Zach and kept walking, pushing him back against the wall. "And I'm loving it," he mumbled. Their faces were so close together Daniel's lips brushed the other's while he talked.

Zach jumped as he felt his back hit the wall. His heart was racing and beating extremely loud and Zach looked into Daniel's eyes, sure he was able to hear it. "So am I.." With those three words, he leaned into the other boy and kissed him gently. The kisses were intoxicating, and the more kisses he received the more he would want. This was dangerous, at this moment Zach's feelings for Daniel were on a fast moving train straight to his heart. But he loved it, and there was no going back now.
