I BONE OF THE SWORD
Her attention had shifted suddenly, as is natural for children she changed her focus to whatever caught her fancy. Though other youth would be remiss to try the same things Tia does. She chewed on the mushroom noting not its taste, but its constitution. Its chemical makeup and affects on the human body. As her biomass tore it apart into its base components, she noted the average young of humans would potentially die upon eating it. If not get quiet sick. She felt an instinctual satisfaction at learning something new especially when it pertained to humans.
It was then that the ground rumbled and Tia could only blink owlishly as she felt her body raise into the air. She looked wildly around for any threats but couldn't find the source of her sudden ascent. Then she saw hands come from either side and realized she was on top of a giant creature. Her hair stood on end like the hackles of a cat and she made an animalistic hissing sound. But then pouted when she got no reaction, and she realized it probably couldn't even here her up here on top of its shell. She went up to the front of its carapace on the very edge of the shell and hung off it upside down. Till her head was off hanging down and she could look into the creatures beady eyes. Her face was set in an angry and threatening glare, for a child. Its voice reverberating in her mind didn't bother her but its words did. "Tia no deer, Tia Tia!" Then she raised her arms, or rather lowered them from her upside down position presenting them to the creature like claws, and once again hissed this time in the face of the thing.
