A yawn as the fox leans against a crystal rainbow water fountain. She scans the bustling area closely and pulls up a menu. Clicking on the mini map she tracks the person she is suppose to meet.

"Finally, I didn't expect to wait so long." I tap on their name and pull up their contact information. A message window opens shortly and I type a brief message of war if they don't hurry. Ting ting, the sound of bells as she flicks her ears about in annoyance. Her cheeks puff out as she pouts then her ears are tugged from behind and she spins around.

"Pon!" Her online battle partner smiles cutely and begins the battle by flashing a short sword at her, grazing her throat.

King had spent a majority of the day learning the mechanics of the game and trying to do some easy leveling. Unfortunately, mobs ceased to give you any exp once you reached a certain level and he wasn't quite ready to go off exploring the virtual world just yet. Mostly he sold the random drops he got for some coin. There were a couple rings with defense buffs in the market that he had his eye on . Perhaps a dungeon run would get him the coin and exp he currently desired?

Nich spent the first half of the day trolling others, scamming them, making them angry, and managed to get a lot of coin out of it. She was rather happy with herself, so she went off to do some grinding and wandering, until she ran into a man within the market, then over at the rings he was eyeing.

"Defense. You a warrior? Tank?", Nich asked with a smile on her face. It was a devilishly charming smile, the one that usually marked her when she was up to no good, or simply enjoying herself.

Kenji was going back to the the village hub aiming to sell of his grinding drops for new armor and potions. He would have gotten more stuff if he wasn't tricked by a Psychic earlier, he didnt even know someone could do that in this game. After that he vowed to get his own back on that psychic girl in time. As he walked he came a cross a battle with a Werefox with another, he approached to absorbed curious about the were beast class.

King turned his attention to the girl next to him and opened the view character window. She was a noob like him and apparently of the psychic class. Perhaps she was looking for friends or she just needed someone to tank for her; either way it'd be an advantage to party up, besides her smile seemed genuine enough.

"Yeah, something like that."

Speedy, and nimble. Her partner had improved since she last seen her, even if it was just two hours ago. Leaping back from a flurry of swordplay she withdrew her own blade and blocked most of her attacks. A hunting blade isn't effective against a full on sword attack. She growled low and ducked swiftly heading straight for her, blade pointed at her chest. But she miscalculated and her partner blocks the fatal blow turning it into a kick to her attackers stomach. The fox girl tumbles across the ground and stops with a groan as the other smirks and walks away.

Kenji opened his inventory tab and used a revive potion on the girl to get her back in action before approaching her. "It is a pity, i thought you had her there for a moment." He said trying to strike a conversation with her. "However she seemed to have you pecked from the start, you use the same attacks order dont you?"

Her eyes stare up at him weakly as she sits up. "Not often, I have only battled her once and almost beat her." Ting ting, her ears flick just thinking about the incident and she stands. Then a loud growl rumbles from her stomach and she sighs bringing up her bag and pulling out a steaming hot beef bowl.

"Well even though I lost I am close to leveling up, gotta keep going!" She grins and chopsticks materialize in her hand before she scarfs down the food.

"So keep going means, sit down and eat?" He asked curiously. He watched her as she eat, she was cute even by the character creator standards though he wasnt sure why. Suddenly a fact down on him. Since he started playing, he had no desire to eat or feeling of hunger and he had played for quite a while. In fact he hadn't had the need of any bodily function that would make him log off the game.

Stopping midway of eating she blinked and looked up at him. "What is it?" She quickly finished up and it materialized away. Standing she dusted off her butt and extended her hand. "Hello, my name is Yukiioko. Or Yuki for short, it's easier to say and even better to type." But then her message board beeped and a split second later the world was brought to life to the musical alarms.

The message read: Welcome young gamers, as probably most of you know you cannot log out or feel you have no need to. You are within MY world now and I would like to formerly greet you. A few seconds after you finish reading this you will be ported and trapped in Kalunar until I have finished my speech.

When Yuki closes her message board a virtual wall seals her and the male into the town square as other players begin the materialize. "Oh wow, how dreadful

@SirFlabberghaspy @Mushroom Wars

"Excuse me? Oh...Right...Eh, Kenji, android level 2." He replied snapping out of his though process and forced a smile before shaking her hand. He tried to put his thoughts aside thinking it was just his paranoia before he received the message on his message board. He cursed and before he knew they were in Kalunar and couldnt leave."What the hell, how can some body do that?"

Nich raised an eyebrow as she read the message. An act of terrorism, something else, perhaps? She smiled as she ended up in the town square, looking around to see more then a few startled faces. Unlike most others, Nich found this a rather interesting dilemma. A chance to prove herself, if you will.

King hadn't even gotten the chance to introduce himself before being suddenly walled inside the town square. Assuming this was some type of event, King made an effort to search for an event npc. It seemed like the most logical location an npc would appear and since the walls went up there wasn't much room for speculation. It would appear that most people were taking this event rather seriously.

When his search showed no results he came to the conclusion "Maybe this isn't an event after all. . ."

Bzzt! High in the sky comes a screen and on it is a child of ten dressed in halloween attire.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_01/image.jpg.9081336435bcdabd32de9536fc656e7e.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="39705" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_01/image.jpg.9081336435bcdabd32de9536fc656e7e.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

She looked strange as she smiled gleefully into the camera.

"Hello my players! My daddy couldn't make it so I am standing in for him. You are now my 'pawns' per say and are stuck in this game until I see you at the finally. Your bodies, however, are in a comatose state and will not wake up until you complete the game." Her attention is taken away from the camera and soft mumbling takes place. At this point people are mumbling anxiously and begin to get hostile towards the child. She scowls. "Silence, I found out a few people have already died trying to take on monsters higher than their levels. Well, unfortunately they may be standing next to you but they will be part of the game forever. Stupid bakas!"

With that said the screen fades away and the virtual walls fall away, leaving people frightened.

"What the.." Kenji muttered as he heard what the girl in the Halloween costume had to see. At first he thought it was prank so he decided to try logging out himself, however logging out was no longer a selection in the options menu. He frowned but then though about it."Not the most clever of people. Two players pissing off hundreds of players of varying skill, they are asking to be beaten."

When the screen in the sky faded, King shook his head furiously. A million questions raced through his mind. "How is this Happening"; "What is this!?; "Why, Why, WHY . . . Was that little girl so freaking adorable!?!?!?!? To have a little sister like that would be eternal bliss! What a cruel world!!!"

Apparently years of anime and manga had corrupted his way of thinking to a certain extent. As he spazzed out, other players mistook his behavior as extreme grief and backed away slowly.

Nich only smirked, quick to cling unto King, jumping over next to him with a smile. "You're my buddy until this is over, got it?", she demanded in a whispered tone, smiling as she spoke.

Someone like King would be useful, especially in a situation like this.

The girl from before had found him again. She wanted too add him to his friend list apparently? He didn't see much of a reason not to. He sent her a friend request and a party invite.

"Ah, sure. . . but until whats over?" as they began heading out. King was either absurdly dense or extremely stupid. . . but at least he was good at the game. . .

Ting ting, her ear bells rain loudly over the bellowing crowd. Yukiioko stares at the silent people then smiles as she her leave from the city square. Her mission has changed, she must level quickly and get out of this game. No matter how serious or freaked out she was on the inside she had to keep a cool head on the outside. So at the street markets she bought some cheap armor and weapons and used her money on materials and supplies. Soon enough she would be battling the monsters residing to the east.

King gazed intensely at the map before him. It was a special map that only could be obtained by buying the limited extreme collector's edition. There were only 5 sold world wide and king had managed to get his hands on one. Of course it cost a fortune though (namely a large portion of a certain college fund), but at this point it could only payoff; being trapped in the game and all.

Essentially the map showed the location of all the class legendary items as well as the location for the secret sub class quests. Each class is rumored to have at least one secret sub class but the only way to unlock it is by purchasing the collector's edition, following the map, and entering the purchase code.

Currently the map was leading him east. The first dungeon is recommended level 5 but King assumed that a party of 3-4 shouldn't have a problem. But then who could King trust to take with him? He couldn't just give these secrets away after what he paid. Nich was a given because she just happened to already be there, but who else. . .?

Nich suddenly bore a rather blank expression after King asked "but until what's over?", but quickly returned to her normal happy self when she observed a few other people. What Nich normally did was follow King around, but, along the way, she was making a pretty penny by tricking and scamming people. Normally they would fight her, but they always stopped after realizing that it would be true murder.

"Pathetic...", Nich muttered under her breath, smiling as another angry "customer" walked off with at least one hundred less money in his inventory. This game made things too easy for her, a predictable system that a conman could thrive in.

"King, you wont betray my love, right?", Nich asked rather cutely, but it was obvious she was acting. On the inside, she wondered if the idiot would misunderstand this, too.

He saw Yukkioko walk off to the marked stores and followed, being the reason he came to the hub in the first place. He sold what he had before being a couple of upgrades that acted as armor and some potions for the road. After all he searched for Yukioko and send off a friend request, with a message stating. "“It takes two flints to make a fire.”
