Kay had to agree with John about the dyed green student. If he couldn't learn his lesson after the first time then he really must have been an utter idiot. If it had turned out that the kid did become a comedian, it wouldn't have been entirely surprising and did seem like it would have been the perfect career for the guy. When the topic changed to the teacher, Kay couldn't help but raise an eyebrow whilst laughing with everyone else at Elliott's excellent ability to contort his face in such a manner that shouldn't be at all possible. Hearing Fia laugh the way she was and seeing her declare it was the ugliest face she'd ever seen Elliott do, brought all kinds of thoughts to her mind whilst smiling, glad to see her daughter so happy.
She also couldn't imagine how anyone would find that look attractive but she also believed there was someone for everyone out there so who was she to judge? She chuckled as John pointed out the facial contortions whilst Chas asked a normal question of how they kept a straight face every class. She and Fia both listened to Cliff and Cal explain how they managed it, and Cal's addition of saying about being desensitised to it after a while did make a whole lot of sense to both women. They then continued to listen to the story with great interest, laughing when it was appropriate to do so, and reacting otherwise at other moments. "can't say I've got any stories of that caliber from my school days, and don't think even if I did, it'd beat that" Kay chuckled. There were probably stories she had in her mind somewhere, but her school life was so plagued with the negatives that she would have just pushed them so far to the back of her mind, they'd be almost forgotten.
