Jane looked back at the bloodbath that was happening in the mall, even those fighting back were being eaten alive. She followed the group down the fire escape shaking with fear as numerous gunshots could be heard going off and the screams of the dieing. "AH!" Jane let out a yelp of pain as her exposed lef caught on a rusty piece of the fire escape, she suddenly felt wet blood trickle down her leg, looking down she realized the gash was deep "Wait! I- im hurt!" She pleaded to the group stretching out her hand towards them.
Tyler stopped and turned. He jogged back onto the escape, and tore off another piece of his jacket, wrapping it around the wound, tightenough to stem the blood. "Can you walk?" he offered her a hand up.

Adam

'Wow. That was an amazing display of chaos and frenzy and betrayal, eh, Adam?' said the voice in his head. This is not the perfect time to have a voice like that in your head, considering everything's going to hell. Adam has not wasted any shots, instead relying on his combination tool to hack and slash, and he's been following the entire group, especially the kid, Ty. Kid sure knows how to deal with the apocalypse.

"So, where we headed?" Adam asked.

Jane took Tyler's hand pulling herself up, pain shot through her leg but she'd just had to deal with it. She limped a little as she stood "Can you walk?" He asked "I- i think so" Jane replied, leaning on him slightly for support, she glanced back at the mall wanting to get aas far away from it as possible "Let's go"

"It's fine. I'm used to people trying to forget me. Let's just go." Julie was taken by surprise at those words. He glanced back at her, a hint of malice in his eyes. "The least you can do is tell me your name." She opened her mouth again to speak, but a panicked yelp from the fire escape distracted them. The boy immediately ran towards the sound and Julie followed after, shocked to see a girl injured there. Too much blood. She must have caught her leg on something in the escape. And it might be rusted.

Julie turned quickly to the boy. "That cut is too deep, and so is the shot to your shoulder. We need to get to that apartment fast. I can't treat everyone out here in the open." Julie forced the words out, afraid of him and his eyes. He knew how to kill. She didn't. If it came down to it, Julie would be the one bleeding out.

She shot her eyes towards the man from before- the bruised one. She had yet to see the girl with the apartment come down the chute yet, and she was starting to get impatient to start moving.

"I don't matter, and stop looking at me like I'm gonna strangle you. I got you out of there, we are a group for now. If I wanted you to die I would've done it by now. Besides, I'm the literal smallest here. I'd die in seconds if we fought." He winced as she leaned on his injured arm but didn't say anything, and just helped her down the stairs.

Samantha

Sam bit her lip, glad that people were agreeing to go back to her place. She led the way now, heading down the fire escape quickly before others began to follow after the group, possibly knocking them down to get past. "Your right we gotta hurry. People probably saw us take this route." she noted outloud, speaking to anyone who would listen. Once she reached the bottom she stepped aside and waited on the group to make their way down. She knew most the group was wounded, so she was trying to be patient with everyone. She watched with worry as one of her group mates cut their leg on something, but they were quickly helped up. She watched with dismay as a woman ran into the forest, leaving her and the rest of the group behind in the forest. Sam yelled after her to wait, and began to chase after her.

Forest greenery floated past her as she ran after the woman, trying her hardest to stop her. Seeing the way things were now, Samantha didn't like the idea of anyone being left behind.

All of a sudden, a girl runs off. Then another girl runs after her. Adam spots this, and starts running after them.

'No, no, Adam, you were doing fine with the group, just leave these girls.' Said the voice in his head, but he sped after the girl regardless. Splitting up is stupid, but it's even stupider to allow them to split up. Besides, what if they bump into a horde? At least someone has to be there to acknowledge that, "holy shit there's a freaking horde eating these girls I better run back and tell the others before they get eaten too", and that's what Adam's doing.

By now, most of the mall had been taken over. People were either holed up in their rooms, hoping to be rescued, dead, or had escaped. Sadly, the majority of the supposed safe haven's refugees were now killed, or had began to turn. It was a horrifyingly fast process.

Andromeda
"Guys, hold the fuck up!" After Tyler had bashed the door open, everyone had rushed passed the blonde in an attempt to find a way out. She'd tried to follow, but a surge of other people had cut her off. She hasn't exactly planned on sticking with them, but they seemed like they knew a thing or two about how to survive. Her own survival may depend on them at some point, so she was making an effort to get back to them.

Finally, after angrily shoving her way through the throng of people, she caught the last of them getting out on a fire escape. She shoved past a pair of women, finally reaching the ladder to see them making their way into the forest. "I said wait up, goddammit!" She quickly climbed down the ladder, jogging to catch up before catching breath. "Thanks, guys, really. It was so fun tryjng to fight my way through all of those assholes."

As she caught her breath, she saw three of the survivors dash off into the forest. Their loss. It also seemed that most -- if not all -- of the group had been injured in their escape, whereas Andromeda didn't have a scratch on her. "Did anyone get bitten?" She asked, finally walking forward and taking a position by little miss doctor pants.

Julie

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

A blonde shot down the fire escape suddenly and tumbled down next to Julie, breathing heavily. She was glad to see that the girl didn't have any injuries, not even a scratch. "Did anyone get bitten?" She asked. Julie blinked, thinking back a little. "No," she said, "just a few injuries. But I'm worried about those three who ran into the forest. The group here, uh, they seem okay right? I mean- I'm going after them. Please come with me." Julie gently laid a hand on the other girl's arm and rushed away, hoping she would follow.

The man with the bruises had chased after their navigator, and they needed her. Not only that, being in such a small group might be dangerous, and although Julie might not be the best combatant, she could be there on the sidelines to help. She crashed through the forest, knocking branches out of her face blindly in the dark. Her heart started pounding and her mouth went dry. Any number of things could be lurking in the forest with her. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment and pushed on.

Relief washed through Julie when she saw the familiar form of the man from before. She approached him cautiously, scanning for signs of being bitten. He just seemed out of breath, really. "H-hey." Julie called out. "Did you find them?"

Adam

'Way to go, "hero". You lost them. Good on you, Adam. What next, you're gonna go looking for them in that general direction? It's dark, go home.' snarled the voice in his mind, as the Russian takes in big breaths and struggles to stand upright. This is REALLY not the best time for the whole 'voice in the head' thing.

Adam suddenly hears a voice from behind. A girl's voice. She's asking about the two he was chasing earlier.

"No, they got away. Damnit..." He said.

Adira didn't pay attention to the fact that others were following her, all she wanted to do was get away, get back home. Odd that now she would want to go home when home had always been her nightmare, but now... she just wanted to be away from these people that would surely end up dead. "Not happening." She said, her right hand gripping the machete so tight that her knuckles turned white.

Her heard sunk as she saw the hoard approaching ahead of her. She couldn't make it past, there were far too many. Her caramel colored gaze locked onto the zombies and she stopped in her tracks. They were probably around seven hundred feet away, but for some reason, Adira couldn't move. Her body trembled in fear as she watched the zombies approaching. Maybe she wasn't supposed to live, her sister should have made it, not Adira, she failed. Though her adrenaline took hold and her fight or flight instincts kicked in... raising the machete, she began moving toward the hoard, anger apparent within her expression. "Screw this." She said angrily as she picked up speed. There was probably over fifteen zombies in front of her, but all she could think about was how her sister felt when she was eaten alive.

@Lonelytaco

Samantha

Sam was already running as fast as she could to keep up, but the girl still seemed to be picking up speed. She heard the girl utter something that she couldn't make out, and took the advantage of her stopping for a moment. Before she began to run again, Sam had only been a few feet behind her, giving her a pretty big advantage when she started back. Sam could see now that the girl was running towards a large hoard of zombies, and her heart shook. Did she not see them? Was she not afraid? None of it mattered anymore, Samantha didn't want to risk being eaten alive and this woman was not about to cause her to be. She waited a fer more steps before she leaped, succesfully tackling the girl to the ground before she went any farther. Her left side hit the ground terribly hard, scraping her arms and legs with stray branches and pinecones. It felt like she had just been tossed from a four story building, and suddenly she began to think of what a dumb decision this had been. Running after a stranger into the dark woods? Tackling a stranger in the dark woods? What the fuck are you doing Sam? She struggled to get up, her knees burnt with open wounds and thick lines of blood were now running down her leg. She realized now that she had made another mistake by getting up off the ground, as she was completely winded from the run to catch up.

Through heavy breaths she began to question the girl on the ground before her. "What the fuck was that? Didn't you see me behind you? Where did you think you were going?" she pestered her, now a bit angry from the soreness she was feeling. The zombies weren't to far away now, but she didn't really care. Her life had been endangered by a selfish chick who decided to go on a suicide mission. "Stupid bitch." she mumbled, beginning to remove all the grass and twigs from her hair.

"Well, that's good. One less thing to worry about." As she began to stretch out her limbs, the girl told her that she was going to go after the three who'd run off. Not only that, but she asked Andy to accompany her. "I guess, but shouldn't we just-" Before she finished talking, the girl'd turned and sprinted off into the trees. "Shit."

After a minute or two of introspective debate, Andromeda sighed and ran in the same direction the others had gone. Hopefully, there weren't any zombies prowling in the trees, but she was prepared if there were. Her hiking axe was gripped tightly in hand, and the strap wrapped around her wrist so as not to lose it if she got tossed around. She could hear someone -- or something -- crashing through the brush ahead of her, so she cautiously emerged from the trees. It was the doctor girl, and the guy who'd run off. A Russian, it seemed. Andy had missed Julie's inquiry, but she heard Adam's response of, "No, they got away. Dammit." Shrugging, the blonde said, "Well, they're probably dead or something then. I think we should go back, before we run into a horde and die too." She may've been a tad insensitive, but it was better than running off into the unknown. There could be any number of things waiting for them, including mutated versions of the regular zombies that skulked the streets. That wasn't something she felt like dealing with.

@Azazelin @Kabboom

Adira released a small scream as she was tackled unexpectedly, her left shoulder burning once again. Her body slammed against the ground, the machete flying forward as she lost her grip and her eyes lifted to the approaching hoard. Why was this girl following her?! Why was she even trying to help? Adira was a complete stranger and this girl was risking her life to help? It made no sense in Adira's mind and she quickly turned to look at the girl as she began yelling at her. "Why did you follow me?!" Adira pushed herself up and turned to the girl, lifting her right arm to nudge her. "You need to go back!" She said, ignoring the fact that the other girl had just called her a 'stupid bitch'. She probably deserved it, but it wasn't like she asked for the other girls help.

The sound of something big began shaking the earth and Adira turned to look behind at the hoard as the other girl worked on picking the twigs and dirt from her hair. "Run." Adira said softly before a roar filled the air. "Get the fuck going!" She yelled, seeing the machete she quickly moved to grab it and spun back around, heading toward the other girl. If she came to help her, then it was only right Adira save the girl's life. Her body ached, and she couldn't move her left arm, but that didn't matter right now, all that mattered was getting this girl to safety, and getting the hell away from whatever was headed their way, fast. Adira felt like screaming and crying all at once, but she knew she had been stupid, and she deserved the spite that was directed at her from the other woman. So she ran, forcing her left arm to move toward the girls wrist where her slender fingers would grip tightly, and she pulled the girl with her, interrupting the woman's attempt at cleaning her own hair.

People had begun to run into the woods. Tyler saw this as a bit reckless, but he was in no shape to risk chasing them. Neither was Jane. He led Jane near the woods, peering in after the others who had run. However, the dark thick foliage made it too hard to spot them. There was no way they'd easily catch-up. However, he knew that a few of the group actually used their brains. So, he had two decisions. Either follow, or wait. He turned to look at Jane. "We can either follow them in or wait here." The teen winced at the ache of his bullet wound, which was still open. He hadn't had time to bandage it, and doing it one handed would be extremely difficult. Taking another look into the woods, he silently hoped they would be alright.

Samantha

Sam had been grabbed and whisked away from the scene before she could even argue. She had heard the rumbling too, and saw it as a reason to hold the argument off til later. As tired as she was, she knew her and the girl needed to get back out of the wooded area as quick as they possibly coul.d. "This way!"she yelled, directing her new survivor buddy. She had been mapping out the woods as she chased after the girl, so she knew her way back out. As they ran, Sam spotted two familiar figures heading back into the woods. She whistled at them, waving her free arm and yelling for them to get out. If everyone followed, Sam could lead them to where she was staying very quickly seeing as she knew a bit of the wooded area by now. "Follow us!" she screamed, not slowing down for anyone. Hopefully the whole mall group was there, since they weren't about to go back for them.

The rumbling continued on behind her, and she was sweatng up something terrible. She knew if it came down to it, her pocket knife was on her right side in her right pocket so that she could make and easy attack on anything that came too close. Samantha wasn't that strong, but at least she knew how to stab something, otherwise she may have been pretty screwed heading into that forest in the first place. Soon though, they'd be safe. Her apartment wasn't too far from their area and she knew exactly what it held. Pain killers, bandaids and water, sweet sweet water.

@Lonelytaco @SuperSpice

Tyler dragged Jane along, full out sprinting to keep up with their navigator. They had to have aggravated the zombies, and now they had to move fast. He could only hope that Jane would be able to keep up. It was painful running with a cut to his ankle and bullet in his shoulder, but he'd be damned before that stopped him. Ty was slower than usual, because he was literally dragging Jane's arm. She was older than him and had more mass, which lowered his mobility. Hopefully they'd soon find themselves safe and supplied at this girls home. However he had a suspicion that these supplies weren't the only reason she wanted to go there. Afterall, she'd been muttering about her dog before shit hit the fan, and while he hadn't thought much of it at the time he realized this was her second motive to visiting the house.

The Russian continued to breathe heavily as he responded, but he seemed to be catching his breath. Julie started a bit as the blonde girl from before, came crashing up beside her. "Well, they're probably dead or something then. I think we should go back, before we run into a horde and die too." She said to them, probably catching the tail end of the man's words. Julie paled slightly. She didn't want to face more zombies, especially mutated ones. So far she had only seen those known as "Common Infected," and maybe a few "Runners."

"I-I don't know. Maybe they can handle themselves." Julie muttered to herself. "One of them had a machete, didn't she? But the other one knew the way to the apartment. Maybe we should just wait by the fire escape." She glanced over at the Russian man then back to the blonde. "I'm sorry, but I don't know either of you. I'm Julie." She pulled her hand away from her body and offered it to the blonde, who was closer to her.

By then, the rumbling had started, just loud enough to hear, but not enough to really alert Julie.

Andromeda
Andy scoffed slightly as Julie's mutterings. A machete is all well and good when there's one or two, but against a horde the sheer numbers would be overwhelming. Besides, the other girl didn't even have a weapon. Not that Andy had seen, anyway. At least the Russian -- mister AK-47 -- was fine. He'd prove a great asset with the gear he had. "We don't necessarily need to go to her apartment. We could just break into any old house and loot what we need."

Spitting her gum into the grass, Andromeda accepted the girl's hand after her introduction and gave it a light shake. "Andromeda. Just call me Andy though, for short." She'd forgotten that Julie hadn't been there when she'd introduced herself. "Now, Julie, I think the two us and AK over there should get going. Those girls are probably gon-"A piercing whistle interrupted her, and Andromeda whipped around to see the two girls sprinting back towards the group. She was waving them over, obviously, but what were they running from? That's when the blonde felt the rumbling under her feet. "Oh shit!" She cursed, shoving her hiking axe into her belt loop and taking off after them. "Come on, Jules!" She called back, catching sight of Tyler trying to drag the injured girl along behind Sam. Cursing herself for what she was about to do, Andromeda picked up the pace and wrapped and arm around Jane's waist, helping Tyler carry her. "I've got you covered, kid." She wasn't usually one to play the hero, but Ty seemed like he knew his stuff, and she knew he wouldn't just leave the girl to die.

As Adira fled, she was suddenly redirected by the girl whom she ran with. She didn't argue though, she was down to get to safety no matter who led her there, so she followed. She still felt like she needed to get away from these people, but this thing that was currently heading for them, was Adira's fault and she knew that, but had the other girl not followed her, she wouldn't be in trouble right now, chances were, Adira would be dead though which meant she owed her life to this girl. Exactly what she was trying to avoid. The rumbling seemed to be getting closer, and the roar that pierced the night air again was almost ear piercing. "What is that thing?" Adira asked as she turned her gaze back quickly before bringing it back and running faster. She was the track star in her school, she had running down without a problem, and managed to not get winded easily.

Adira noticed that the others were headed for them when she had looked back, and she also saw the girl being dragged along by the boy from earlier and a girl she hadn't seen before just now. They were going as fast as they could, but from the sounds and shaking ground, they wouldn't make it in time. "Wait! We have to help them!" She said, despite her instinct's telling her to forget them and get the hell out of there. She slowed a bit and turned to look at the other girl. "There is enough of us, we could probably take it down!" She spoke loud enough so the other could hear her. Maybe if they worked together, they could get rid of this thing, and then they could all make it to safety.

Ty looked at her. "Are you fucking-UGH." he pushed Jane ahead "Just run!" He turned, drawing his bow, yelling to Adira. "I Hope you know this is basically a death sentence!" He nocked back two arrows on the string, pulling it all the way back and releasing them towards the mutated corpse's head. He reached into thee quiver, grabbing two more, pulling back the string, aimed and ready. He had to trust that this girl had a plan. If she didn't.....at least he wouldn't live in this hell anymore. His nerves and senses were stretched taut, as the monster got closer to them. Just breath, and trust.

Samantha had stopped running, and at long last she finally turned around to face her opponent. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head as she witnessed a large figure crash through the woods, leaving nothing left but crushed trees behind him. "We can't fight that!" Samantha yelled, taking steps away from the dreaded creature that stood before the group. She knew her pocket knife was no match for the large zombie, and saw no point in even trying. She watched Ty's arrows fly with distain, knowing they wouldn't be strong enough alone. Samantha knew that if the youngest of the group was trying, she had to too. She pulled out her knife and began to take fatal steps towards the creature, making jabs at his massive arms, attempting to make the use of them harder. Her knife was barely causing any type of damage though, as the wounds on his skin hardly even looked like scratches.

"Give it all you got guys!" she screamed, moving away briefly before running directly into his arms and dragging her knife down his rotten skin, making a large amount of blood rush out across her t-shirt.

The Behemouth lifted one arm and swiped it at Samantha, tossing her aside effortlessly, landing her beside a large tree in a patch of leaves. The zombie turned away from her now though, and was now focused on the source of the arrows. This bought Sam just enough time to stand back up, watching from a short distance as he made attempts to hurt the group. She realized now just how easy it was for such a massive thing to hurt them, but knew the group could probably take him down if they found his weak spots quick enough. Sam observed, brushing her hair out of her eyes as the creature made its way towards Ty, and noticed how tiny his legs were. "Aim for his arms!" she screamed, pointing in attempts to get the boy to see if he couldn't see.

That's true, Julie thought. Any apartment is bound to have supplies. Andy, as she introduced herself, urged the three of them to get moving, and they began walking away. A piercing whistle interrupted the forest noises and the navigator and who Julie assumed was the girl who ran off burst in front of them, waving their arms desperately. Julie watched them run and her eyes flickered back the way they had come. The color drained from her face as she saw the trees moving violently. Zombies were somewhere in there. She ran after Andy blindly, following the group ahead of them.

They were joined by the boy- the bullet wound- and the girl with the injured leg. The girl who had run off wrapped an arm around the other girl and they raced ahead. Suddenly, "We could take them on!" The girl screamed at them. Ty looked like he was about to argue, but suddenly whipped backwards and started firing arrows. Julie skidded behind Andy and took a look at the monster that was chasing them.

It was large, to say the least. Huge arms took over most of its body, topped by a small head that let out horrible yells and wails. Arrows kept firing at its head, and the navigator ducked out from the group to stab at its arms. She was tossed away lazily, but she got up quickly. Julie wanted to help. Mechanically, she fumbled in her bag for her slingshot. While not very effective, perhaps she could distract the zombie enough so that the others could attack him. She pulled it out with a handful of pellets and fired near the center of his face, pacing sideways away from the others. Her legs trembled, hoping it would be enough to help.

Thankfully, or maybe not, the beast turned to look at her, and screamed. She kept firing. She would take care of her wounds later if she was hurt. She wouldn't be killed. She wouldn't be killed. Not this time. Surely the others would defeat this...
Thing.

Andromeda
Andy, instead of simply pushing her forward, lowered Jane to the ground behind a tree. "If we die, try not to draw attention to yourself. You may escape if it thinks you're dead too." Joining the rest of the group to face their attacker, Andromeda's eyes widened at the size of the monstrosity they were about to fight. "Here goes nothin'. Come on, old faithful, don't fail me now." She pulled her hiking axe out, shifting it from hand to hand as the others began to attack. Tyler was firing arrows, and Sam had no more than a pocket knife. She'd normally admire the girl's bravery, but right now Samantha was the picture perfect image of a dumbass to the blonde.

Next to her, she saw Julie pull out a damn slingshot. Real nice, people. She thought, glaring at the two women. Those are definitely the shit weapons you wanna use in a zombie fucking apocalypse. Making the decision to help Sam, Andy threw her bag down and dug out her pistol. She watched the creature lumber towards Tyler now, and took the opportunity to sprint to Sam's side. She pressed the pistol into the girl's hands after making sure she was still alive, stood up and turned around towards the monster once more. "Don't forget the safety."

With that, Andy was off. She built up speed as she approached, then took a flying leap at the Behemoth and slammed her axe into it's back. The creature screamed -- a horrible, inhuman sound -- and began to flail around as Andromeda dug her weapon deeper into it's back. It jumped around like a mechanical bull, and Andy could only hang on for dear life to her axe and hope the others brought it down as it was enraged.

As Sam called out, he backed away from the behemoth. Hearing her advice he noticed it too. He took aim at the Behemoth's wrists, and fired two quick shots. Unfortunately, the zombies had gotten closer, one close enough to lunge. As the Behemoth screamed in agony, moved enraged, the boy took another arrow aiming at it's arms once again. Before he could release the arrow, one of the zombies leapt at him, it's nails digging into his shoulder injury, leaving a gash trailing to the left. He cried out in pain, stumbling forward. It jumped onto him pinning him on the ground,it's nails digging into his arms as it attempted to bite him. He used the bow handle, shoving it into the creatures, jaw keeping it's bite at bay. However, several other zombies were approaching.
