Talia Webber

Talia watched as the woman skated across the frozen pond, when the crocodile threatened her she turned to face him, not frightened by what she thought was an idle threat. "One way to find out" She winked at the crocodile before speaking again "What is your name?" She asked the beast who was clearly irritated by something she had done.

Magnus was prone to get angry when he wasnt taken as a threat. She was supposed to be scared! He snarled in irritation, moving fast and grabbed her throat in his clawed hand. He lifted her off the ground, "Don't test me, woman" He snapped.

"Earth-rise?" She asked, before she was pulled into the portal along with the god. She squeezed her eyes shut out of instinct. Another planet? But, holy crap another planet!

((Didn't I say that Magnus has a superiority complex?))

"You don't have to hold your breath, Lyla. We'll be in transit the entire time, and there's no need to actually even breath along a portal path, but I auggest you look around and keep walking." The duo had stepped out of a portal onto a red, dusty planet with little to no sky and a horizon that was just a bit too close. "Welcome to Mars, Lyla." Cutting through the barren plains of Mars, they were walking along a corridor of portal  energy. Their presence on the planet did not stir so much as a single speck of dust. The floor's of the corridor were diagonally placed tiles that each swirled with their own 2D vortex. The rest of the corridor was made up of visually thin panes of completely translucent portal glass occasionally broken by silver bands of supporting frames. Inside the corridor, Lyla would feel the same temperature and air quality as if she were walking around Tallah's hut.

Talia grabbed at her throat as she was lifted off the ground, she didnt struggle but it was a natural reaction. As air escaped her lungs she just continued to look back at the beast with her large purple eyes, there was no fear in her at all and her beauty seemed to radiate around her body as she was lifted up high. She wasnt afraid to die afterall she was a divine being, death was nothing to her.

Lyla was fascinated by everything she saw, "Mars?" She asked. "I hadnt heard of it before! Holy crap this is amazing!" She said, very excited about all this. "Everything is so cool!"

Magnus hissed, hearing Niklaus and decided to ignore her. Of course he's trying to kill someone! He's him! He wanted to crush the wind out of this female, break her neck in his hand; his brain was screaming at him to do so. But his muscles refused to cooperate, no matter how hard he tried to squeeze. "What makes you so fucking special, woman?!" He roared, so pissed off that he couldnt kill this small and frail female. "Your just another female! Why cant I kill you?!" He dropped her, growling low in his throat and his tail whipped from side to side. He was breathing heavy in his rage, he showed weakness just now. Red was starting to creep around the side of his eyes.

"Oi, Croc.." Niklaus voiced, glaring at the creature with squinted eyes. She remembered irritating the being earlier, yet he certainly didn't react like this. It seemed as if she was a simple mosquito compared to the newcomer, at least in terms of annoying the crocodile. It reminded her of an old man and a mosquito; after awhile of the insect not leaving him alone, gramps stops caring, finding new things to complain about. Taking notice of the red eyes, the giantess knew she had to act quickly if she was ever going to see the stranger out alive. However, the thought puzzled her, just like the last one.. Why did she care so much about the girl? What made her so special? Squatting down, Klaus reached towards the ground underneath her with an ungloved hand. Ice practically ran to the crocodile, building a wall in front of him in a millisecond. Truthfully, she hadn't planned for that, but whatever the ice wanted to do, it did. Her hand was lifted off of the earth, which led to her walking near the creature. "Want to go skating?"

Magnus growled at the wall's rise, and Niklaus's voice made him turn around to face her. He leaped, his muscle-bound scaly body easily knocking her over and he pinned her effectively, his clawed hands on the ground above her shoulders. "Ssskating?" He growled.

Grimacing at the connection, the giantess was knocked out of air for a brief second. Magnus's muscle mass was even more intense up-close, and it inspired her to work out a lot more, especially if she wanted to keep up with him. As soon as she had regained her breath, she glanced up at the being on top of her. Niklaus used her elbows to prop herself up, the giant nose of the creature practically beckoning her; without reluctance, she planted a small peck on the organ. As soon as she had acknowledged her own actions, her cheeks flared up, the red being as vivid as a tomato. Her hands flew to her face, hiding herself from the world. In order to save her own pride, she started yelling, "Y-Yes, skating! Let's just forget that happened! Psh, what kiss? I didn't see anything! Nothing happened! Woo, l-let's skate! Do you want to skate? I want to skate!"

Magnus was expecting her to fight back, but that's not what happened. Confusion, and a bit of embarrassment, overrode the rage in his mind. His eyes slowly turned white again, and he reached up with one of his hands and rubbed his nose. The contact wasnt painful, in which he's not familiar with. When she started yelling, he realized that maybe she didnt expect it either. "Why did you do that?"

"H-hey, it didn't happen!" She shouted. Her voice was muffled by the hands she insisted on being concealed by, which also seemed to be trying to rid of the heat radiating from her cheeks. Of course, it wasn't aiding much, but right about now, Niklaus wanted to bury herself six feet under. Therefore, anything to shield her from the world was greatly favored; however, her mind believed otherwise. If this calms him down, I guess I'll have to kiss him more often.. She thought to herself, only to take back her internalized words as she realized them, Wait, no! Stupid Klaus! A loud groan passed through her lips, what with her frustration getting the better of her.

"But it did happen" He tilted his head. Apparently she didnt expect it, not by the way she was acting now. Then he realized that he was fully calm now, he wasnt made about the stranger anymore. He got up, standing and without any questions he helped her up as well. "Maybe a female reaction to something" He muttered to himself.

Not bothering to respond, Niklaus was hushed, mainly because her mind was malfunctioning. Much to the female's surprise, she was helped off the ground, an action that made her question the impression she had first received from the crocodile. "Thanks," she murmured, the word almost inaudible. Her hands fell back down to her side, though her head was craned to the side. Frankly, she was just too embarrassed to look Magnus in the face.

Lyla was fascinated by everything she saw, "Mars?" She asked. "I hadnt heard of it before! Holy crap this is amazing!" She said, very excited about all this. "Everything is so cool!"

"You know that red star that you can sometimes see in the night sky that doesn't twinkle? That's Mars, the planet we are on right now. Normally, walking on Mars would be impossible, and deadly, but we are not technically walking on Mars. We are actually just passing through on our roundabout trip to our true destination of Tallah's hut. Look over there." Garren pointed out across the plain to what could be best described as a large hill that resembled a circus tent supported by a single pole shifted slightly off center. What was distinctly odd about the hill was that it was incalculably larger than any hill had the right of being. Even from the grat distance with which they were viewing it, the hill's profile was lost to the horizon. "That is a mountain. I don't have a name for it yet. I'll let the astronomers on Earth decide what to call it once they find it."

((Mallah or Tallac? I wasnt gonna make him a god, just a powerful forest mage.))

Tallah came over, leaned down over Mac's shoulder, and blew a tiny flurry of snowflakes on top of Mac's tea. They floated around in the tea, cooling it just enough to be warming without scorching the throat. "Milk would ruin the tea. I promise that the flavor will be most satisfying. Try it now." He cast Mac a sidelong glance before heading back to brew up something for the rest of them. Lyla would not need any more pain relieving tea,  and he said as much as he steeped enough tea for 6 cups in a different pot.

Garren sat down on a tall stool and watched the enitre scene with his usual level of amusement, though there was a slight gleam in his eye.

@SnugglyKnight

(Mallah. I dunno, I just feel like he fits the mold perfectly.)

Mac smiled, and sipped the tea, before letting out a pleasured sigh. Tallah was right. The tea was amazing. "Thank you Tallah. This is great."

((Didn't I say that Magnus has a superiority complex?))

((I'll let Mac react to their disappearance first. @Safety Hammer))

Mac was too entranced with how amazing his tea tasted to notice the two disappearing. That, and the fact that he was mesmerized by the little man, as well as his magical powers. Tallah was perplexing to say the least. As he slowly recovered on the couch, he looked at his caretaker with a kindly smile, and set down his tea.

"So, would you mind if I asked you a question?"

((Yeah I know. It is kinda weird that I almost didn't include Tallah at all.))

Tallah paid Garren and Lyla's disappearance no mind as he poured himself a cup of tea and sat down on the wide arm of the couch across from Mac. Garren had a habit of popping in and out all he pleased, taking along travel companions was his norm. With any luck, he'll be back within the next few hours or so.

((OMFG I just realized who I accidentally modeled Garren after. Can anybody guess who?))

Tallah cracked a small smile as Mac thanked him and praised his tea. It was obvious to Tallah that Mac was not a man who wasted words with pleasantries or compliments unless he thought them necessary. Tallah giggled internally as he thought of how Garren was the exact opposite and would always be willing to improve someone's self-esteem, with pleasant truths suprisingly enough.

"Feel free to ask me anything, Mac?" Tallah's gaze wasn't so much piercing as analyzing. Mac's smile was a nice thing indeed. He is an interesting creature, indeed.

@Safety Hammer

(Only person who comes to mind is Garrus from Mass Effect. Only because their names are similar.)

"Why do you look like a ten year old boy?" The large bearded man asked, grunting as he sat up to face his host. He had to admit, it was kinda adorable to see a ten year old walk around and make him tea, as well as be able to use magic like he did

"I mean, not to be rude. But it's kinda weird to say the least."

((gotta guess a little more space timey-wimey.))

Tallah sipped from his cup calmy as Mac asked the question that he'd been anticipating ever since Garren showed up with strangers. He set his cup down on his knee carelessly, it sat at an impossible angle but did not tip nor spill. "I was wondering how long it would take you to ask." He turned his body to face Mac better. "I would like to start off by saying that I dont look like a 10 year old,  I am a 10 year old. I may be now aging at a reduced pace, but I still get to look forward to "becoming a man" in thr next two decades or so." It was clear that Tallah was not looking forward to going through puberty again.

"It all started when I met Garren. I was 10 the first time I saw him step out of a portal with one of our people, who been lost to us for 10 years. He was astounding. A humble god was unheard of,  even the kindest gods knew they were better than mere mortals, but not Garren. We came to figure out that he thought he was just a normal human being with a special gift, none of us elves had the heart or idiocy to tell him the truth. You don't rattle the reality of a god that can bend reality to his will; "messy" doesn't even begin to describe the possible fallouts. " Tallah aimed that last sentence at Mac, referencing his manhandling of Garren earlier.

"Back then I was nothing special. A minor affinity for magic and a hand for healing, but Garren took notice of me. We became fast friends, and it was refreshing to know a god that did not need to be treated as such. He would come and stay, or so I thought, for days on end. The elders always wondered how his parents would react to his absence,  but he made it clear that he could go and come as he pleased and actually spent entire days with his parents in the span of the hours that he wasn't with me. I doubt that it was so simple an explanation but Garren could be everywhere and nowhere all at once,  however he wished." He smiled softly at the memories that played through his mind.

"Over the years,  we grew closer as friends, and many time he sought to take me along with him on his journeys, but I always refused. This forest is my home. Why do I need to leave it for some nation halfway around the world?" Tallah sighed at his own ignorance. "Eventually he stopped asking, but the invitation was always open. However, my powers of magic grew, and my healing touch was the best in the village and eventually I was chosen to be the new Voice. I could never leave as long as I could Speak. Garren took everything in stride as usual, even the lost of his parents a few days prior. He congratulated me and moved on as usual, but something had changed. Now, I wished to go with him. I'd fallen in love with a man who was forever beyond my reach." Tallah's face grew pained as he spoke. He sipped some of his tea and then left the cup to float in air.

"I... I couldn't accept it. I couldn't accept that Garren couldn't be mine, so I asked for a way out. I begged for a way to leave this forest with Garren without taking my Voice, and the trees and sky gave it to me. A ritual to unbind myself from the forest and to leave it only to return as a passersby. It was a fairly simple ritual with a few complicated matters. I needed to still be a virgin, which I was, I needed a worldly traveler to take that virginity, Garren, and that traveler needed to love me as much as I loved them. I had no trouble in getting Garren to bed me. I simply explained the ritual to him and he was ecstatic that the person he loved the most in the world would be able to travel with him always." Tallah took a steadying breath as he continued. "The ritual was amazing, better sex than anything I had ever heard recounted from anyone in the village, but it wasn't enough. I was Garren's best friend, and he loved me, but it wasn't the love I needed, nor was my love the right kind either."

"This form was my price for performing the ritual. The drawback was so drastic because I failed. They even went so far as to restore my virginity. I am now bond by a set of demands that need to be met that I am not even allowed to know! All the spells I've learned weakened, all my healing now completely dependent on my herbs, and I cannot pass on the Voice until I meet Their demands!" Tallah's eyes glistened as moisture collected but refused to fall. "It has been five years since then. Since I've seen Garren,  and he appears exactly the same. I know now that whatever love I felt for him, it wasn't the kind that poets write about nor the kind that can start wars. It is, however, the kind that makes me wish that I had said yes to an adventure,  just once. With or without him, I wish that I had gone out to see the world; I know that it would have made him so happy,  and myself as well." Tallah gazed out into nothing as he drained the last of his tea and the pot floated over to refill it. He stirred himself as the pot floated back to the hearth, and looked back at Mac. "Is that what you wanted to know?"

(Oh, so you made the Doctor? You are a sick, sick person, and I love you for it. Which doctor in particular?)

((Also, I'm changing Mac's CS so I can correctly ship them.))

Mac looked at the little man with sad eyes, and hugged him tightly. How this boy could go through such crippling heartbreak and just continue acting as if nothing was wrong? This was harsh. Even for Mac. He had lost people close to him.. But Tallah had lost the only man he had ever loved. And that pain was worse than almost any other.

"I'm.. I'm so sorry for you.." He said, not knowing anything else to say.

((Idk, I guess 11. it wasn't intentional AT ALL. He's generally overy goofy like 11. Though he can be suave like 10, which is kinda how he snags the hearts of unsuspecting mortals, excluding Tallah because they've been friends since forever.))

Tallah let Mac wrap him up in a hug and apologize for his heartache. He leaned against Mac's large frame without relaxing. "There is nothing to apologize for. It was my own fault that I am like this. It is my own fault that he couldn't see me as anything more than that 10 year old elf kid with the weird hair and pretty voice. I never even tried to be more than that until it was too late. It isn't as if I cannot ever see him again. He can never stay gone for long, and him never coming back would be too easy. This...this is what I deserve." Tallah relelaxed by just a miniscule margin. Why am I spilling out me heart to an outsider? A menfolk, no less.

"No, you deserve better than this, Tallah." Mac said, as he looked over at the elf boy. It hurt him to see his caretaker like this.

"I mean, everyone has gone through a heartache. It's just what happens. And we all end up paying the price. But at no point should you blame yourself for something like this. I mean, if Garren can't see you for how awesome you are, that's his fault. Not yours." The large man chuckled to himself. "Hell, you healed me without question when he just dropped me in here. You are amazing, Tallah. I'm sure that there is a way that could bring you back. I wanna help you." The man smiled a hopeful smile, and patted his back.

"Okay?"

Magnus sniffed the air, his eyes narrowing. "What an odd smell... Smells of earth, stone, and... Magic?" He growled, his tail waving. He temporarily ignored what just happened. "I'm going to find out what that is, stay here" He said to Niklaus, not letting her answer before he was gone.

"Whoa, that's cool! Let's call it... Hmm... Badass Mountain!" Lyla said, "I like that name!" She grinned, looking at the dusty barren wasteland. "Everything's so red, I bet some awesome story teller could come up with a cool myth to explain that"

Not getting to put her metaphoric dime in, the female let out an angry huff. Like hell was she going to stay there, not while the crocodile could just vanish into nowhere. Unattaching the blades she had fitted to her footwear, she placed the objects in her pocket, hoping they wouldn’t slip out. Before dashing off in the direction her partner took off to, the female gave the stranger a curt wave from behind the already thawing glacier, the gesture being similar to a goodbye. Frankly, she assumed her creation wouldn’t be anything but liquid on the ground in an ampere-hour, which she didn’t expressly object to. Crossing through the vegetation, she searched for Magnus. Although, her quest to find him became an utter failure. She prepared to return back, but she had realized that she literally had no clue as to what her location was.

“Not all those who wander are lost, but I sure am,” she spoke aloud, trying to find humor in the situation with narration. A gloved hand rested on her bow, just in the event she came across something unfavorable. Therefore, she continued on her merry way, praying to the gods that she found the reptile.

Nothing worth while was around her... Well, maybe not. The further she walked, the more violent and shaky the ground got. It was in rhythm, shake, pause, shake, pause, shake, pause. Soon enough, a large stone hand landed beside the female, and large stone creature lumbered into view. His one glowing blue eye stared at her as he looked down upon her.
