Lyla narrowed her eyes, "Your fucking kidding me right?" She asked. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! I've known you for years, and in less than a goddamn day you 'pledge' yourself to this guy?" Oh she was seething mad. "What the hell?! I thought we were good enough partners and friends that you'd probably give a fucking thought before just leaving me like that, you fucking... Whatever! I dont even care either, I can do this goddamn job by myself!" She was on her feet and her usual happy go lucky attitude was right out the window.

"W-wait, Lyla!" Mac said, grabbing her shoulder. "Okay, I'm sorry, just please don't just leave.." He was really broken after what had happened to him and Tallah. "You're my only other friend, and.. I just..." Mac, for once in his life, got choked up in front of Lyla. No matter if she was pissed or not, she would see that something was really hurting him. Mac never got this emotional in front of Lyla. It was almost like seeing your father cry.

"Please don't leave and get yourself killed..."

(I got the best/worst idea)

Lyla didnt want to, but she sighed and let her anger go for now. This must be serious if he was actually showing a sad emotion like this. "Okay Mac, but you know I cant stay in one place for too long. I hate that. Look, I still have a job to do but I will come back after I catch whoever" She said.

Magnus looked up, then shook his head. Not in the sky stupid! Sometimes he questioned his own intelligence. He nodded and headed that way, though he didnt feel like running like he suggested, not yet anyway. He was starting to get hungry again. @Valefar

( are we going to meet up with everyone else? )

"It's going to be a long journey, so we might as well wait until daybreak to travel," she suggested, looking up at the sky. Personally, the female hadn't eaten all day, and her grumbling stomach was telling her that she wouldn't last long without any nutrition.

(I dunno)

Magnus stopped and turned around, "Alright. I'll do the hunting, get a fire started" He ordered, sniffing the air to find some prey game. Then he realized. "Wait, you cant deal with fire." He was losing it. "Well, you hunt for yourself and I'll deal with my prey. And the fire"

"Eh, yeah. I usually just get it raw," the female admitted. She hadn't had a lot of heated food, but as a human, this made her sick; there was just no way around it, though. Tugging at the bow on her back, she prepared herself for the hunt, her eyes searching through the shrubbery to get a peek at any possible critters. "Meet back here in five, ten minutes?"

Magnus nodded. He turned and went his own way, careful to keep his nose out for that stone creature. but he was sure they left it far behind. He needed to find wood, because his hunger wouldnt be satisfied just by deer. So he wasnt going to bother with it.

(Oh so lonely.....Miley's been completely forgotten.)

"Ah, Miley! Do you know how to make a door?"

"Make? Mother fucker you said fix!"

"Well, I mean more or less piece together." Mac said with a guilty grin. "I, uh... I kicked it off of the hinges and into a wall." At this moment, Mac happened to realize how strong he was to do that with one kick.

"Huh."

"You fu-" M mi ley rubbed her forehead, "You fucking dumbass. Why did you do that?)

"Garren, the portal guy, he took my shotgun and hid it from me." Mac grumbled, as brought the door out of the doorway of the small cottage. "I'm thinking about making it look a bit better than what it was when I broke it. Maybe like a little gold trim. I'm gonna go inside and ask Tallah where the tools are."

Walking to where the elf was, Mac smiled when he saw Tallah. "Hey! I was about to go fix the door, but I need tools to put it back together. Do you, uh, do you know where I could find them?" He looked over at Garren, who was also in the same room.

"Hey Garren. Would you like to help me with the door?"

Mac would notice the uneasy tension in the room between Tallah and Garren. Garren, who was rubbing his cheek and looked like he rolled around in the grass, cast Mac a heated glare. "This is your fault." He pointed at his swelling cheek then disappeared in a flash of portal energy. Tallah rolled his eyes as Garren left.

"Here are some tools, Mac." A couple cases of various kinds of tools floated out of another room. They looked as if they'd never been touched and were of great quality. It was obvious from the assortment that he called, that Tallah had never had to work with them. "Are these what you needed? There are some more in the shed in the back." Tallah didn't look Mac in the eye as he spoke softly.

Mac grabbed the tools, and looked at them closely. They were in immaculate condition. I guess he never needed to use these. Mac thought, before he noticed Tallah's strange body language. Besides the fact that Mac had quite a lot of experience with people, it would take an idiot to not notice the guilt on Tallah's face. The bearded mercenary sighed, and set down the tools.

"What's wrong, Tallah?"

"Nothing is the matter, not really. I just realize that I owe you an apology." Tallah wrapped his arms around himself as he got a little closer to Mac. "I shouldn't have been so dismissive of your feelings. I apologize." Tallah sounded distant as he apologized to Mac. He meant his apology but there was more to it than he wanted to reveal. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like a fool, that was never my intention."

Mac was quiet for a bit, before looking down at the mocha-skinned elf, and hugging him. "Thank you. Is there anything you would like me to do?"

Tallah leaned in to Mac but didn't hug him back. "Can you please tell me the truth about the trials? Id there more to than you're telling me? Or are you just not taking it seriously?" He spoke evenly without emotion, but his body was quivering slightly.

"Tallah, I'm being honest with you. I don't know how, or why, but I am absolutely infatuated with you. I do not know why, but I am." Mac said, his eyes looking into the one of the elf's.

"I.. I do love you.."

Mac's heart dropped to his stomach, as he became choked up with emotion. He... he really doesn't love me back.... Mac thought, before standing up straight, and swallowing the lump in his throat, as hard as that was.

"I-it's okay.... I'm just gonna.. I'm just gonna go fix the door now.. If you want me to leave, I'm okay with that.." Mac said, as he tried to hold back his sudden heartbreak. Although he wasn't outright crying, it was obvious that he was shattered.

'Is the door the only reason I'm here?" Miley asked, after being quiet for some time. And maybe accidently followed Mac cause she was bored.

"Mac, stop, please. I'm not saying that I don't want you here,  because I do. I'm just saying that I don't think that I feel as strongly for you as you feel for me. I'm sorry that it is not what you were hoping for,  but it is the closest thing to truth that I have right now, and I felt that I needed to tell you where we stood." Tallah placed his hands on Mac's chest and leaned against him, hoping that the bearded man's rigid posture would loosen somewhat.

Following suit, the giantess ran off into the woods, completely ignorant to the fact that the beast that had attacked her could reappear. She went in the opposite direction from where they were, or at least, she believed she did; frankly, she wasn't afraid of seeing the creature again, probably because she had been talking back to a killer crocodile this entire day. Unlike Magnus, the female couldn't smell her way towards her prey, but she could be quiet until something came to her. Niklaus reached what she thought to be a far-enough area, and so, she froze in place, the birds and other animals around her regaining their songs as if she had never disrupted them in the first place. She was like this for minutes, but when there was a rustling noise coming from the bushes, she stretched to mutely get an arrow from her quill. A fox cub's head poked from the shrubbery, and it's adorable lil' face made her hesitate in shooting it. Niklaus sighed, the bow she had raised falling back down to her side, and she decided she would find a different meal. Truthfully, she had an affinity for cubs, especially those who reminded her of the critters back in home-village.. She just didn't have the guts to take the creature from the world, not like this at least. Instead, she swiftly pointing her arrow back at the trees, releasing the projectile to have it fly into the body of a bird.

Fiora sat by the tress as she sang a gentle song and bird flew around her feeling of the cold brezz of the wind when she heard a snap and turn "mother?" she said as she clime up to the tress and look to the direction of the people walking
