((Poor Mac))

Tallah crossed his arms and cast Mac a completely unconcerned glance. "Perhaps this will convince you to think with the head on your shoulders instead. Now, weren't you supposed to be getting me some tea? Quickly now." Tallah shooed him off with a single hand and laid back against the bed's headboard. He stuffed some pillows behind himself to make it more comfortable.

"I love you, Tallah... but you are being a cock right now." The bearded man groaned, as he pulled himself up off of the ground, and on his feet. His body still hurting, he shuffled his way to the little porcelain kettle, and poured Tallah his tea. Slowly walking back, he handed Tallah his tea, and slumped back into the rocking chair by the bed.

"You... may have also stabbed me a bit... Only in the thigh... Ouch all the same....."

"Mhm," the female hummed, albeit in a conceited tone. For herself, the cold was more than a preference; it was a necessity. This is why she was relatively pleased that the crocodile had no place to visit, no people that she had heard of that would need his company. Niklaus was sure he had lived in a humid climate, and frankly, she can only handle so much heat before she becomes ill. In fact, the current temperature wasn't doing her too well, especially since she couldn't be unconscious under these conditions. That was her prime reason for needing to return home; that and she could get another glove as soon as possible. "Think you can handle weather under zero?" She questioned, "If so, we can get moving right away."

Garren stood up himself. Taking her hand and guiding her off of the blanket, he led her through a portal as the picnic blanket, basket, and everything it had included sank into a different portal. "Come on then. I'm sure that Tallah has taken good care of Mac, and they're just sitting around enjoying the silence of our absence." ((lol))

"Depending on.... Whatever I'll be fine" He growled. He wasnt going to let a little cold stop him. "Which direction are we going?"

"Not that we were being any type of loud anyway, all you do is just kind of sit and watch everything happen" Lyla said. "But hey, you do you man"

Tallah glared at Mac over the edge of his cup as he drank his tea. "Quit complaining; you'll be fine." Tallah held out his hand, palm up, and gathered emerald energies, which he then chunked at Mac and watched as all his wound caused by Tallah's outburst, were well taken care off.

"Oh, I can be loud, but I thought that someone like you would appreciate a couple of quiet moments with nothing but you and the universe. Plus, I took you on a picnic. It isn't as if I dropped us off in the middle of a civil war, though I've actually done that once."

"Why are you so pissed at me?" Mac asked the glaring elf, before sitting up and walking out of the room. "You know what, never mind. I gotta do something."

"I gotta take a leak and call my friend." He grumbled, before making his way to the bathroom, clutching his purple communication crystal in his hand.

Tallah watched Mac get up and walk out with his glare still very much intact. He was upset because the trials that Mac went through seemed too easy. Either there was something that Mac had missed, or he simply wasn't telling Tallah everything. Either way, there was a way for Mac to still screw this up, and he didn't even seem to care about what could happen to him. But I do.

After camp was set up, Miley was actually relieved that Rais had her go with some of the other men to go find dinner. Maybe it's because of her skill in quick take downs. Hey, if you're trained as an assassin, you gotta be good at it. Not to mention, the armor she wore was light, and didn't make much noise as she moved trough the forest quickly. Hanover Wake was only about 20 miles back, but Rais is a lazy mother fucker, so it wasn't a surprise that they had set up camp so early.

From the thick branch of an old oak, she watched a large stag, pretty fat, and kinda lazy looking; and the men with the blue and white Silver-Fang crest. She jumped to the next few trees, to a thin, spindly tree behind the stag. Miley readied herself for the men to do what they did best. Corner a helpless target to distract ot while she dropped down and killed it. Ten seconds till they moved.

After finishing his piss and washing up, Mac walked outside and looked at the communication crystal that was in his hand. After fiddling with it in his hand, he flicked the top of it, and it began to pulsate. He didn't call Miley, but he did give her his position, as well as a message. He leaned over and spoke into the crystal. "Hey, no alarm. Lyla is off doing something, and I need someone here to keep me and possibly my new boyfriend company. Also, do you know how to fix a door?"

(It would've been funny if he had called her)

Well, she definitely got the message. And in the best possible timing too. The men had closed around the stag, giving it nowhere to run, when Mikey dropped down, snapping it's neck after a few moments of it bucking around trying to escape. She told them to take it back to camp as she listened to the message. A little cinfused, she decided ti send a message in return. "Well, I'm pretty close by surprisingly. Weren't you straight as hell? And what the fuck kinda question is do you know how to fix a door? Of course I know how to fix a door, I gotta door it all the damn time."

"Depending on.... Whatever I'll be fine" He growled. He wasnt going to let a little cold stop him. "Which direction are we going?"

Niklaus let out a huff, her breath coming out as condensed air. "Uh, I may not know.. What direction did we come in?" Despite her talent in hunting, that skill was only available in her own terrain, and she was more than sure that her internal compass was completely out of wack.

"Civil war huh? Neat" Lyla said, thinking about it. "War's a bit too not my style, I just like bounty hunting" She shrugged, mostly just talking to herself at this point.

Magnus looked to the sky and thought a second. "Southeast" He said, looking back down. "How do you not know how to get back to your home village?"

Mac sighed, before answering. Miley was a bit of work, but she was reliable all the same.

"I guess you could say I'm as straight as hell, since, you know, Hell is made up of circles. But anyway, I'm bi. You should know that. And about the door... It's kind of a long story. Just tell me when you get here."

The portal deposited the duo just outside the cottage's doorway. Garren noticed Mac standing off to the side. "See, what did I tell you? He's right as rain, though I'm curious about what happened to his fixing of the still broken door. Hey there, Mac-adocious!" Garren strolled over to the man with Lyla in tow.

"Call me that again, Garren, and I'll break your nose." Mac said, before he got his head straight.

"Oh shit, I forgot to tell you. I broke Tallah's curse. Hands off of him, too."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I gotta tell the boys I'll met then and Rais in Jaken, so I'll be there soon. Toodles!"

"I'm directionally-challenged," she admitted matter-of-factly, although forcing herself to remember an old map of the continent. For a brief moment, her eyes were glued shut, and when they were opened, her ungloved index finger was lifted into the air, signaling that she had recognized the location. Adding on, the female announced, "It's above us, so northeast."

"Call me that again, Garren, and I'll break your nose." Mac said, before he got his head straight.

Garren completely unfazed by Mac's threat, and continued smiling idiotically. "I would say congrats, but I know for a fact that Tallah is still under his curse. Otherwise, you wouldn't be standing out here, fully clothed and in a frumpy mood. It's good to hear that you finally got started though. I was seriously worried that I had the wrong guy. Oh, and you don't have to worry about me and Tallah. He's like my kid brother, who just so happens to be older than me."

Says the guy who spent years trying to get in his pants. "Whatever." Mac grumbled, before he walked back in t care for Tallah.

"Hey buddy.. Garren's here. Do you wanna put on some clothes and meet him? I was thinking about maybe cutting your hair after this." He said in a kindly and caring voice.

"Garren's back? Already?" Tallah jumped out of the bed and ran to a open chest full of his old robes. There was an irational smile on his face as he rummaged through the robes till he found a pale blue robe with purple trim and tossed it on. He snatched the bedsheet off and tossed his hair back over his shoulder. Taking a moment to check himself out in the mirror, Tallah launched out of the room and practically tackled Garren in a flying leap. "Garren! I'm back to normal!"

"I can see that!" Garren swung Tallah around a few times before putting him down. "Wow, your hair is long."

"Mac!" Miley's voice could be heard in the near distance. She was kinda cling out cause she was a bit impatient,  and a bit lost. She followed his location thingy the best she could, but gave up after a bit.

(Ladies and gentlemen, Mac has evolved into Jorah Mormont.)

Mac saw this, and thought the worst. Tallah never acted like that around him. With such eagerness and vigor to meet him. Then it seemed to click. Almost as if someone had flicked a switch in Mac's brain.

Maybe Tallah still has feelings for Garren..

Mac sighed and sat down on the bed. He knew that through the way Tallah always talked of the guy was like a poet would to nature. He was rather broken on the inside, but he needed to get over it. He couldn't control what Tallah thought. He was his own person. But all the same, Mac had made a promise. He would stay no matter what.

Mac's head shot up as he looked out of the window to see Miley walking towards the shack. He smiled, feeling happy to see his comrade after all of this time.

"Over here!" He shouted happily, waving at her through the window. "Long time no see!"

Miley also smiled, and jogged the rest if the way over to where he was. "Yeah, long time and you still look like an old man," She laughed. She looked pretty much the same as she had about 4 years ago when they saw each other last, if she remembered correctly about the time. Same armor, same weapons, same fucking hair style though a little longer. The only difference was a short, yellow and red, spear looking thing on strapped to her left right in a simple leather band holster.

((Oh come on, it isn't THAT bad.))

Tallah beamed up at giddily. "It feels good to only have to look up a few inches instead of feet, to see your face."

"Looking down at you like this isn't so bad either." Garren leaned down a placed a kiss on Tallah's forehead, then pulled him into a tight hug. "It is good to have you back to normal, Lah. Now, what's the deal with you and the Big Mac?" Garren's face got a smidge more serious." He spoke so only Tallah could hear as he drew him off to the pool

"I don't know what you mean. There is nothing "going on" between us. He thinks that he is in love with me, and he somehow fooled Tree and Sky into thinking the same thing. There's more to these trials and I'm worried that he's not taking it seriously." Tallah pouted and while 10 year old Tallah's pout was adorable, full grown Tallah's pout was distinctly... stimulating.

"Is it so hard to believe that he could actually care about you, Lah?" Garren said concerned, as he rubbed up and down Tallah's shoulders and forearms.

"We've known each other for less than a day." His pout was becoming adorable in its stubbornness.

"Empires have fallen in less. What's the real reason?" Garren gave Tallah a stern look; no more games.

Tallah's pout fell away as Garren's face grew more serious. "Because he isn't the one I want, you are."

Without replying, Garren dove in for a kiss. The moment their lips touched, Tallah slapped him hard enough to be heard in the cottage, and mentally flung him back several feet. "I think that demonstrates pretty well that I am definitely not the one you want." Garren managed to get out as he groaned laying on the grass. Tallah looked on in stunned astonishment at what he'd done.

((See? Hope, and no greyscale.))

Lyla really couldnt care about the change between Tallah, honestly she couldnt remember his name for the life of her. That was until she heard it, but she'd probably forget it the next day. She sighed heavily and loudly, "MacMac! I'm bored! When are we going to go hunting?" She asked, sitting down on the floor. "We have more bounties to get! And get this, that Garren dude has one helluva bounty on  his head. I 'bout blew his fuckin' brains out, but didnt feel like it" She kind of turned her complaining into a small story. "Also! My reflexes are still great! Broke his honker with my elbow when he tried being smooth. I thought it was pretty funny" She turned her head as she heard the slap and laughed, "That sounded bitch-slappy, slow attack though. Fists are waaaaaay better. Huh MacMac?" @Safety Hammer @Delacare

Magnus looked up, then shook his head. Not in the sky stupid! Sometimes he questioned his own intelligence. He nodded and headed that way, though he didnt feel like running like he suggested, not yet anyway. He was starting to get hungry again. @Valefar

"I, uh, I might have pledged myself to living here with Tallah to cure his curse. So no leaving unless he says I can...." Mac said, kinda embarrassed.

"I'm sure we could just go regular hunting around here."

Lyla narrowed her eyes, "Your fucking kidding me right?" She asked. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! I've known you for years, and in less than a goddamn day you 'pledge' yourself to this guy?" Oh she was seething mad. "What the hell?! I thought we were good enough partners and friends that you'd probably give a fucking thought before just leaving me like that, you fucking... Whatever! I dont even care either, I can do this goddamn job by myself!" She was on her feet and her usual happy go lucky attitude was right out the window.
