There’s a lot going on omg and wait since when is Ethan Matt Mercer ? Why are there different versions of him? Is this like a time line thing

They were gone so long because they were recruiting into the multiverse and afterlife, Mercer was just the closest visual aid i could find. basically just for the blades that look like liquid armor. The Matt Mercer look alike will be further explained in my next post but basically MAGIC picked up Prime Ethan helped him out with escaping Humanity Forever, the Matt Mercer look alike exists because in his universe that never happened. does that help?

Also, if you check my first ooc post explaining about the Egypt scene, i say that it was our potential future versions, or possibilities. So it's always been Multiverse in my noggin

I liked it! The multiverse thing cleared it up for me. So we’ll be involving not one but other possibilities of our characters in the big battle scene or does the flashforward end here? And which possibility is the one with Ethan and Leo?

I’ll try to add more to IH’s world. Time to open up ArtStation and Pinterest

the flash forward will have one more rotation with one more rotation of backstory as well. Yeah, add in as many or as few possibilities as you want i didn't specify, but maybe Dr. Ethan could be with Leo, since he has the most stable background
