She smiled tiredly. “It was fine. I took the sleeping tablet your mom gave me and I was out the whole way.” She told him “I just got in the house but I’m gonna go see max and Eddie later, can you please email me your flight details? So I know when I’m picking you up?”

Aaron had made it through home room and was on his way to his first class when he first started feeling weird but he got there and sat down, frowning when Jake kept asking if he was okay, brushing him off each time but he finally got up halfway through the lesson and frowned “Mrs Smith? I think I’m gonna be sick.” He told her slowly before chucking up on the floor and collapsing.

He shrugged a little. “I’m good. Got my girl, my daughter and my son… were doing good.” He mumbled, relaxing with them both for about 45 minutes before his phone started ringing and he passed Iris over to max so he could answer it, seeing it was the schools number. “Hello?” He frowned as he stood up going to get max some tea for her while Iris fed

Max smiled softly at him and gave a nod. She kissed him gently before yawning just relaxing peacefully with him. She frowned though when his phone started to go off as Iris woke up for her feeding time. She gently took their daughter and got herself situated while she tried to listen to Eddie.

The nurse gave a heavy sigh as she waited for Aaron's father to pick up "Mr.Munson? This is Nurse Winkle at Hawkins high, your son got sick in class and collapsed. We currently have him laying in the nurse's office, he is awake and doing okay but we'll need you to come pick him up." She explained

Jamie nodded some as he listened to her "Oh thats good to hear. Yeah I'll make sure to send them your way. I know its a late one sadly." He said softly to her before giving a small sigh "Mary is wanting me to pay allimony, which I think is complete bullshit."

“Shit. Alright I’ll be there in a few minutes. He can’t have anything to eat no sugar tablets or anything. Water only.” He reminded her just in case and hung up. “He passed out in his first class I’ll be back.” He muttered, starting to head out to the car, driving over there quickly and made it inside. “I’m here to pick up Aaron wends.” He told them, making a mental note about getting everyone under the last name soon as possoble

Carmen smiled. “That’s okay…. She shouldn’t have any kind of case for that but Jamie you gotta decide what’s most important now… getting out of the contract of marriage with her or getting the most out of it? Ill call tomorrow okay? I gotta go.” She murmured. “I love you, you can always call if you need to okay? See you soon.” She hung up and immediately grabbed her car keys to head over to max and eddies wanting to catch up with max.

Aaron came out slowly after Eddie got there and sighed heavily "Hey dad....I told them that I would be fine." He mumbled as he walked with him out of the school "Honestly, I feel fine now." He explained

Max got up when she heard a knock at the door giving a small frown. She hadn't been expecting anyone and it couldn't have been Eddie. She got Iris situated to burp as she opened the door smiling widely when she saw Carmen "Carmen! Oh my goodness how are you? How was England?"

She smiled wide and nodded “it was Oh my god the baby is here!” She screeched as quietly as she could, “oh my god she’s here she’s here! When did she get here? Can I hold her?” She asked her quickly, making her way into the house as if she lived there and went to put the kettle on. “England was great for the most part… couple complaints but I’ll tell you more later, give me my niece immediately.” She smiled

Eddie shook his head frowning. “Get in the car.” He muttered, waiting tik he was situated and he started driving them home, not saying a word til he pulled up outside and they got out, raising an eyebrow at carmens car in the drive. “Good. More witnesses. Get inside.” He told him seriously, getting him into the lounge and got him to sit down and helped him get settled. “I’m calling the school tomorrow and I’m getting everything I need for us to home school.” He told him seriously.

Max laughed lightly and closed the door as Carmen came inside "Two weeks ago. Aaron had some complications and the stress sent me into labor. She is okay though, perfect health." She explained before handing her over "Her name is Iris." She murmured frowning though when she heard Aaron and Eddie come back in.

Aaron sat down with his dad as they got inside frowning deeply. He looked at him shocked for a moment before shaking his head "No! No I'll drop out! I can't take my senior year from home! I'm fine dad honest! I'll be okay! Please don't make me do this" he pleaded

Eddie shook his head finally losing his temper and feeling his façade break. “I said no! You are finishing school but here at home! Do you understand me?! Do you have any idea what it was like to watch you stop breathing not once or even twice but three times?!” He yelled at him. “Until you are healed you are staying home! I will not lose my son because of high school assholes!” He shouted louder. “I cannot keep looking after you and your mom and your sister like this! I am done! So you are home schooling and that is the end of it!” He snapped, heading straight upstairs and went to sit in the floor in his and maxs room, feeling the panic coming up as everything he’d been bottling was coming up to the surface now.

Carmen smiled wide at her and rocked her gently. “Oh max she looks just like Eddie.” She giggled, frowning when she heard the yelling start. “Hey, I got her, you go see to your boys, I can sit in here with this little cutie.” She assured her once it had gone quiet again.

Max frowned deeply when she heard the yelling. She went into the lounge after thanking Carmen and looked at Aaron "Aaron what happened?" She asked but frowned as he just turned away from her. She gave a heavy sigh and made her way up to their room going wide eyed when she saw Eddie rocking on the floor "Eddie? Eddie baby look at me." She said as she sat infront of him holding his face in her hands "Eddie its okay, its okay. What happened?"

He eventually managed to start calming down with her and just broke down sobbing. “I can’t do it. He’s gonna kill himself just trying to go to school!” He sobbed. “I just want him healthy before he goes back. I will home school him. And you’ve been sick and Iris was early and I can’t stop thinking about what if something happens to her and I can’t… I can’t look after all three of you at the same time like this I can’t do it.” He sobbed, shaking a little and held onto her. “I can’t see him get sick again.” He whimpered burying his face into her shoulder

Carmen went to sit in the lounge with Aaron smiling at him a little. “Hey there you… giving your old man a hard time? How you doing though aaron? Go on, between you and me.” She nudged him gently and sighed as he leaned against her and she lay her spare arm around him, starting to think about having two kids of her own like this with Jamie, starting to be excited at the idea

Max moved to sit by his side and held him close to her "Shh shh. Hey I'm okay I promise and so is Iris. Aaron...he doesn't understand but I think we need to have a long chat with him." She said softly before kissing the top of his head letting a few tears of her own fall "Its gonna be okay Eddie, I promise you." She whispered

Aaron leaned into his Aunt and sighed heavily "I'm tired Aunt Carmen. I just want to be normal again. I want to be how I was before the attack; I can't even sit in a classroom." He said before letting a few tears fall "School was the only normal possibility I had left."

He frowned and just held onto her. “I’ve never yelled at him like that before.” He mumbled. “I didn’t want to lose my temper about it… I just want him safe and he’s not at school,” he mumbled

Carmen sighed a little and gave his shoulders a squeeze. “It takes time kiddo… you know I’m still not completely back to normal after the overdose… might never be… but your dad loves you. He only wants what’s best for you.” She pointed out and sighed a little. “Why don’t you let him give it a shot. You might find that by the time next semester rolls around, you’re better and you can manage school again.” She pointed out, moving when Iris started fussing a little and she smiled, letting Aaron take her. “She’s got a great big brother.” She told him gently. “Tell your mom I’ll be over tomorrow okay? I’m gonna head home, leave you guys to it.” She told him, ruffling his hair a little then headed out to go home and call Jamie again

Max gave a small nod and held him close to her "I know baby, but these things happen. I remember the first time I got onto him, I felt awful as well." She murmured kissing him gently "Take a deep breath okay? Everything will be okay." She said quietly before giving him a small smile "I'm gonna go downstairs okay? You come down later okay? Take a shower and relax."

Jamie answered the phone when it rang "Hey beautiful, how is everything?" He asked quietly before yawning

She sighed a little but smiled. “Chaos as always. When you get home, Eddie could do with a guys day I think, but the baby is here. She’s so adorable jamie…. I’m ready for kids.” She smiled “Soon as you get back here, we can get started.” She promksed

Eddie just nodded and tried to relax, going to run a bath instead and take some time to himself for a minute

Aaron frowned when his mom came down and took Iris “Don’t you start yelling at me too.” He grumbled.

Jamie chuckled softly as he listened to her "I'll make sure to plan one." He said before breaking out into a hugr smile when she mentioned kids "Really? Oh I can't wait to meet her. You really want to start trying?" He asked happily "You know if you get pregnant before we find somewhere in England we'll have to stay in the states a bit longer."

Max went downstairs and took Iris into her arms once Aaron started to hand her over "I'm not going to yell Aaron, but I agree with your father. Honey we're just worried about you and your health. I know school is a place to get away from us and from home, but as parents we can't risk loosing you again..." she explained softly trying not to choke up and cry herself "Aaron you're our everything...without you life isn't the same...so we have to protect you okay? Make sure that we get you into adulthood."

He frowned and shook his head. “Why don’t I get a say in this though?!” He snapped at her, “I don’t wanna do home school.” He muttered, “Is it cause he’s bored?! Doing fuck all every day must be really hard,” he muttered assuming still his dad did nothing all day.

She smiled and shook her head. “That’s okay, I’m not in a rush for moving. But I want a family with you.” She told him seriously. “I’ll let you go get some sleep okay? I love you, I’ll see you later.” She murmured.

Max went a bit wide eyed and smacked him round the back of the head "You watch your damn mouth Aaron Edward." She said seriously "Your father keeps this fucking house pulled together, making sure his band is set and bills are fucking paid. He gets the food you eat every night and makes sure we all get to sleep at night. Go to your room NOW and do not come out until you are ready to apologize to your dad." She said angrily while she glared at him.

Jamie smiled happily as he chatted with her a little longer "Alright I'll talk with you later okay?" He said softly before he hung up with her

He scoffed and stood up, heading up there to go lay down.

Eddie came down a little while later while max was doing lunch and sat down watching her, “I saw carmens car was here, England go okay for them?” He asked her, rubbing at his face.

Anne watched him hang up and frowned. “What do you mean stay in the states longer jamie? You’ve been over there for long enough don’t you think?” She muttered frowning.

Max gave Eddie a small smile when he came down "Hey handsome, yeah she was saying it went well. I'll talk with her more on it later, she was a bit distracted by Iris." She said giving a small laugh.

Jamie looked at his mom and gave a heavy sigh "Well Mum yeah possibly. We are wanting to start a family, if Carmen gets pregnant while we are there then we'll have to stay." He explained quietly to her.

She sighed heavily and shook her head. “I’m not sure about that Jamie. You seem to be doing everything to please this girl. What has she ever had to compromise on for you?” She questioned him.

He nodded a little and rest his face into his hands. “Babe… you know how … how I used to be as bad as Jamie when it came to substances? I’m trying really hard right now to not go find a dealer… and I think if I don’t tell you now… that I might just slip out the front door in the next half hour and I don’t know if I can stop myself right now.” He mumbled, starting to break down again.

Jamie glared a bit at his mother shaking his head some "Everything mother, she sacrificed her sobriety for me, she has basically given up her salon for me so that she can stay by my side. Came to the UK to help me get a divorce! Please Mum, I know you only want whats best and don't know her well but Carmen is an amazing woman."

Max frowned deeply and immediatley turned off the stove. She went to his side and cupped his face in her hands "Hey...hey. That shit won't help anything and you know it. You've been going over 10 years without it." She said before kissing him gently. She'd seen how he was when he sold, saw him high as a kite on special K at times as well and she hated it. The weed she could get over, but the hard stuff always scared her. She kept him close giving a heavy sigh "Eddie everything is okay, we're all okay. You don't have to worry."

She sighed a little and just nodded, watching him some, "I just... I worry about you especially when both of you are recovering addicts... As you said, you both ended up pulling each other down.... Whether it was on purpose or not... But if she is as good to you as you claim then I'm happy for you both." She told him seriously, giving his shoulder a squeeze, "Get some rest Jamie." She told him, going to lock all the doors and took her keys up to bed with her.

Eddie frowned and shook his head, watching her and shaking a little, "It doesn't matter... I need it." He mumbled, picking at his nails a little, "I don't want it but I need it." He repeated, "It feels like I\m waiting for the next thing to go wrong." He muttered, shaking badly now, not having seen Aaron come down or that he was stood in the doorway to the kitchen watching his parents

Jamie nodded softly and made his way up to bed trying his best to fight the urge to go off and find a dealer for a quick fix.

Max frowned more as she watched him "Eddie baby, its going to be okay. We'll all be okay." She whispered letting a few tears fall. She couldn't stand seeing him this way. She pulled him to her letting him hold her as well humming his favorite tune like she used to when they were younger.

He just nodded and held onto her tightly for what felt like forever until he eventually started calming down.

-3 years-

Eddie walked into the house after playgroup pick up with Iris on his hip smiling as he listened to her babble at a hundred miles an hour about her day. His head had been hurting all day and she wasn’t helping but he wasn’t about to tell her to be quiet. She well and truly had him wrapped around her finger. “Alright baby go find mommy and I’ll get you some juice okay?” He smiled, setting her down finally and let her run off. Aaron would be home from college on the weekend but for now it was just the three of them plus Kas.

Carmen was curled up on the couch with Jamie, resting her head against his shoulder whike some nature documentary played in the background and just yawned a little. They had gotten engaged a couple weeks after his divorce finalised and had their wedding a year ago now and she was still as happy as ever but she knew Jamie was struggling at the minute with working all over the place and the constant travel. He’d got home late last night from a work trip to Chicago and she was glad to finally have him back. “Are you actually watching this or can I change it over?” She mumbled, sitting up and stretching out, smiling when he pulled her back to his lap again. “Mmm you’ve been quiet since you got back, feeling better now though?”

Max smiled widely as she heard her little girl's squeals come echoing through the house. She laughed some when she saw Kas perk up when he heard her as well. The two of them were like the best of friends even though he was getting older. She opened her arms when Iris came running into the lounge to find her "Hey there princess! How was your day?" She asked happily as she took the little girl into her arms.

Jamie pulled Carmen close to him as she tried to get up and sighed heavily "Yeah I'm alright just very tired. I'm not sure if I can keep up this busy life much longer." He explained quietly before yawning some. These past three years had been bliss to him, they were both clean and he finally got to call Carmen his wife. Though the running all over the country for tours and recording was taking its toll. He wanted to settle down finally, get away from that hectic life.

She nodded and gently ran her fingers through his hair. “I know honey, but you gotta have that conversation with Eddie. And you’ve been putting it off for a long time.” She pointed out, kissing him gently. “Get some rest. I’m gonna go make us some dinner,” she told him gently and pecked his lips.

Eddie wandered into the lounge and passed Iris her sippy cup, going to sit down with max and frowned a little. “You wanna get takeout tonight by any chance?” He asked her quietly.
