I can sympathize. I lived in Sweden for a number of years and it was nasty being an American there after 9/11 when it became clear that the US was going to invade Afghanistan. It became even more fun when invading Iraq became a real possibility. The sad thing was that it did not matter that I thought this second war was a bad idea.
