"Sir, incoming woma--"

Elprede yelped as he was suddenly yanked by Era and dragged down the hallway. Too late! His tiny form was no match for a Saiyan's, in any circumstance, unless his power trumped theirs by such a ridiculous degree... but at that point he could just kill them by only a semi-conscious punch. He stared at Valkyrie and Pyro, the look on his face only begging for them to help him. Oh Lord, please save him from the horrors that he was going to endure trying to teach somebody else how to use the Mazunokari. Maybe this was not one of his best ideas.

He pulled at her. "Okay, okay! Just... let go of my arm!?" He hissed through his teeth. "That hurts!"

Jasmine was laughing uncontrollably.

"I can lore them away from were your playing dead after they think you are and the fox's clone is on the run, then my men can pick you up once me and the darkhood are far enough away. It should be simple enough, how long it takes depending on how powerful they are of course." Pyro said smirking. Then he listened to to Elprede talk about his new move he wanted to teach Era and Valkyrie. I know I don't care to learn a move from you... but you can at least offer to teach me... Pyro thought before Elprede used the Mazunokari.

"Impressive little fox, you maybe able to get half as powerful as me with that." Pyro said before Elprede was dragged away by Era."The gravity chambers controls are voice activated, and do not have it go over a 100x gravity. If you do I will personally come in there and kill you..." Pyro yelled to Era. "Through they may just die from being crushed by the gravity it self if they go over 100x anyways..." Pyro said with a sigh.

Era dragged Elprede to the gravity room where she closed and locked the door with a big smile on her face. She raced over to the controls and decided to start small to test how her body reacted to it.

"Times five gravity please!" She said aloud.

There was a low rumbling in the room and a short period where the floor shook beneath her feet, and then it settled.

She didn't feel any different at first, so she decided to take a few steps and it was as if she was still walking in normal gravity. She supposed it was because her power level had spiked to over 900K that she wasn't feeling the effects anymore.

""Hmm... El, do you mind if I turn it up higher?" She asked, though she didn't actually wait for his response.

"Times twenty gravity please!" She said.

Again a low rumble and a hum before the room began to feel like the air was getting thicker around her. The temperature increased slightly and she could definitely feel a small difference now. She lifted one leg and found it to be ever so slightly more difficult than before to do so, but not enough to hinder her movements all that much. She walked around a few steps and jumped up and down, feeling her feet landing with a decent "thud" each time due to the effect of the gravity on her body in this chamber.

"Interesting... I could probably go to fifty, but I'll wait... Normal gravity please!" She called out.

A soft whirring sound emerged and the gravity returned to normal in the chamber. She then looked to Elprede.

"So, how does that technique work exactly?!" She asked, both her fists clenched and in front of her like a child ready to burst from excitement.

@Deathrattle BB @ChazGhost

Elprede ripped his arm away from Era, wincing slightly. He knew she was easily excited by learning something new, but god damn she didn't have to nearly tear his arm off for it. There was a certain line that you shouldn't cross and she strutted right over it. The muscles in his arm were still twinging a bit when he blinked at what she said.

"Times what now--" he didn't have time to say the rest of it. He was suddenly weighed down by a significant force--that force being gravity. He was already tired and sore when she set it to that suddenly. The struggle was real for him to just not be squashed to the floor immediately, only barely managing to stay upright and standing. He wasn't nearly as strong as them, not even close in fact. Not to mention he wasn't used to dealing with any gravitational pull that was this strong, especially when he was this tired. He made a mental note to go get some decent rest soon, that's if he was still alive by the end of the day. His eyes widened when she mentioned turning it up higher.

"No..." he gasped. "No NO NO NO NO--" Too late. This time, however, he was instantly squashed to the floor from the pressure on his body, His head smacked the ground painfully hard and he landed awkwardly on his arm, sending even more pain up through his nerve endings just to remind him of how badly he fucked up currently. He tried not to yell, though, simply growling and attempting not to be crushed by the ungodly gravity in the room. It hurt him a hell of a lot more than it probably would have hurt her, or anybody else besides him for that matter. He couldn't move at all. He had gone back to his base form after reverting from Mazunokari.

He sighed and panted, wiping a bit of sweat off his forehead and awkwardly getting back up to his feet. His growl grew louder, not out of pain this time, but anger. "I'm not showing anything now!" He yelled. "What the heck were you thinking!? You could have just killed me right there by setting the gravity that high! Exactly how strong do you think I am!? I'M NOT EVEN A 100TH OF YOUR POWER!" He shook his head, walking back towards the exit of the room. "Good Lord... maybe another day, I need to put my arm back into it's socket..."

@ChoShadow

Era looked back at Elprede and blinked.

"Aww... Come on El." She said, puffing out her cheeks.

"Mmmph. Fine. I'll let you teach me the technique later. In the meantime..." She said slowly.

She waited until Elprede had left the room before turning back to the machine.

"Times fifty gravity please!" She said aloud.

The machine whirred to life and the room began to quake. Valkyrie smiled as she felt the gravity increasing more and more making her body feel heavier and the air harder to breathe. She bent her legs as the gravity intensified further and grinned as she saw the first bead of sweat roll off of her brow to the floor below.

"Now... This is more like it!" She said.

With gravity at 50x she was struggling to remain on her feet, but she managed somehow. She took her first step, and it felt like her leg weighed several tons. As she set her foot down the resulting thud, despite how softly she seemingly placed it down, was rather surprising. Every step after that was more of the same. Each step drained a tiny bit more of her stamina, and she knew she would either have to adjust to this as quickly as possible or have to turn the gravity back down which she didn't want to do.

"Val really should have joined me... This is... Going to be amazing once we've adjusted to it!" She said.

On the main deck of the ship a pirate was watching security screen when he saw the one for the gravity chamber when Elprede was was crushed by gravity. The pirate started laughing as the other pirates looked at him and walked over to his station. Then He started replying the clip for the pirates and quickly every was laughing at Elprede being crushed.

Pyro started walking around his ship thinking to himself. Life is strange... Not long ago I was planing to kill these dirty monkeys and fox... And now I'm helping them... Well until he darkhoods are gone... But then again who knows how long that'll take... Drake thought before heading into the main deck and say a crowd of pirates watching Elprede getting crushed. Pyro then started laughing before joining the crowd.

Valkyrie sighed and returned to her room. She needed to think. A tsunami of information was coursing through her mind right now about how to go about this next phase of their plan. The safest way to feign death was to slowly power down pretending that the fight is more difficult than it really is. It was going to be a bit of a blow to her pride to feign death, but in defense of her life it was all she could do. They had to lose the Darkhoods and send what other numbers of their forces as they could on a wild goose chase after Elprede's copy.

Valkyrie spent about ten minutes or so thinking about how she would go about her faked death on the day, but decided against worrying about it for the time being.

Out of curiosity, she meandered to the Gravity Room where she peeked through the opening in the door to see how Era was doing. When she saw Era sweating profusely and struggling just to walk, she had to admit she was intrigued. Could the gravity really be that demanding? She looked at the console and saw the number "50" on it.

50x gravity eh?... She thought.

She was tempted.

Before she could make a decision though, Era noticed her outside the door and called for the gravity to go back to normal. She then opened the door.

"Care to train a bit with me? This gravity thing is amazing!!" She said excitedly, still sweaty as all hell.

Valkyrie was a bit uncertain, but ultimately sighed as her curiosity had gotten the better of her.

"Very well... But if I don't like it, I'm out. Got it?" She demanded.

Era gave her a thumbs up and Valkyrie entered and closed the door behind her. Era then told the console to go back to 50x gravity, and the room became heavy once more. Era had adjusted somewhat, but was still unable to walk normally. Valkyrie, though, hadn't been ready for it and was pulled down to a squat position almost immediately. She powered up a bit against it until she could stand up straight and was rather shocked that it required nearly 70% of her power to do so. She and Era were both at around 650K and were struggling to walk through the room, but then again she was beginning to see just why this was as amazing as Era said.

Imagine if they could move normally in this gravity how much stronger they'd become! Imagine at 100x gravity which was the max?! She could scarcely imagine how much stronger they'd become at this rate, but she wanted to know. The two of them remained in the Gravity Room for the rest of the day at 50x gravity, and though they hadn't fully adjusted to it yet they were well on their way. They could walk almost normally, though with a bit of a strain. No jumping or hopping yet, but soon. By midday tomorrow they'd be good to walk and perhaps even jog and hop around.

Valkyrie had to admit she was excited for this after all. By the evening, they were spent. But both of them were happy with the results of their training and how much they'd acclimated to the gravity. But they came to another realization about their training which made them even more excited. By powering down and adjusting to the gravity at lower and lower power levels, they found that their power continued to increase. If they could adjust to 50x gravity with lower power levels, the full extent of their power once acclimated to it was almost too much to make a guess. They knew they'd break 1 million before long. It was just a matter of time. But by how much? That was the question they wanted to answer.

A few days later...

The ship had remained mostly undisturbed in the few days that came from their meeting to come up with a plan. The darkness of space, along with the passing stars and planets was the only thing that was seen in any direction at any point in time. To Elprede, it was so slow. Too slow, in fact, considering he had been bed-ridden due to Era's antics with the gravity machine and setting it to 20x when he was in his base form, tired, and the worst part being that he was in fact a Nephelem. They were not reknown in the slightest for their physical strength; they were considerably one of the weakest races in terms of physical strength in the universe, even a human could be stronger than them. Actually, he was pretty sure there already were humans who were much stronger than he was.

Regardless of his injuries and tiredness, Elprede made use of himself still by throwing himself into his research. It was mentally exhausting, not to mention his sensed grew so dulled from the lack of activity that he hardly paid attention to his surroundings. His room in the ship was an augmented reality mess; sticky notes and all shorts of things and writing covered the walls of it, somebody might make the assumption that he was mentally insane. Jasmine had already made the notice of that and teased him by singing the creepiest lullabys that came to her mind to him. In more cases than not, she managed to put him to sleep, which was fine by her regardless. Elprede was of no use to anybody if he was so mentally exhausted that it started affecting his physical health.

It did quite annoy him that he was pretty much unable to train for the days of travel. He was starting to just feel like a burden too everybody that was on the ship. Everybody who really mattered, i.e. Era, Valkyrie, and Pyro were already so much stronger than him by this point. While it wasn't really that surprising, it did make him feel more or less useless when he thought about how much stronger the Darkhoods were as well. What exactly would he be able to do when they just became so stronger that he was no longer able to do anything? Well, the logical idea is that he would just die and reincarnate, maybe, and just be captured by the Darkhoods. Or maybe he would not reincarnate at all, maybe he would be wiped from existence because there are no Nephelem left. It was a disconcerting thought.

Because of this, he was like a ghost in the ship. Whenever he left his room, He was so swift and silent that nobody could see when he left his room besides the opening and closing of his door if they happened to walk by. He felt more or less trapped at the moment, there was no current escape and he needed one. Nobody saw him outside of his room for the most part of the few days. He didn't figure it would worry others too awfully much, it wasn't as if they didn't have better things to do than visit him or worry. He wasn't sure whether or not to call themselves friends at all; acquaintances, allies in a similar cause? Regardless, he shrugged it off anyways. Better things to do, always better things to do...

He sat in his room, reading, like he was accustomed to recently. Whether anybody cared about him at the moment, he didn't know. He was becoming less and less connected to reality and everybody currently on the ship.

Around five full days had passed since Era and Valkyrie had discovered the wonders of the gravity room. In fact they liked it so much they hogged the room for themselves most of the time. All but 1 day during the trip they were spending more than 10 hours (often 12-14) in the gravity room at a time, and they'd made amazing progress by the end of the trip.

By the end of the first day they'd acclimated to 30x gravity with lowered power levels no greater than about 300K. By the next morning, after resting and recovering, they were able to power down to only 220K at 30x gravity. By the end of day two of the trip, 175K at 30x gravity. By the morning of the third day, they grew bolder. They turned the gravity up to 50x and kept their powers at 175K, and it was a tremendous struggle for them to do so. However, they acclimated to the gravity within a matter of hours and spent the rest of the time training and fighting like there was no tomorrow.

It was on day five that Era and Valkyrie had shown the most progress. 50x gravity was a breeze for them now even at a power of only 85K, and they were tremendously proud of what they'd accomplished. Valkyrie was still being somewhat cold to Era due to what they'd discovered in that room with the First God, but otherwise she'd mellowed considerably. Fighting with Era directly seemed to be just what she needed to release a lot of that stress and mental disgust with what had come to light for her, and Era didn't mind at all. At least Valkyrie was behaving more like her old self again. That's what Era wanted.

Day five came and went, and on the morning of day six (though they didn't know it their last day to rest for a while), everything came to fruition for them. They didn't go into the gravity room this day. Instead they decided they would rest and test their newfound powers in a room which they'd had Elprede modify with Ki-protection in the walls and floors to prevent their powering up from damaging the vessel around them.

The two of them rested up for a few hours into the early afternoon, and then went into their private room to test what they were capable of. Era brought her Scouter and Valkyrie hers, and then it began. Valkyrie, being the proud Elite she was, went first. She clenched her hands and gave a single long grunt of effort as her red aura flared to life around her. It was well concentrated, so it didn't do too much to the table and chairs nearby though it did still knock them down.

Era watched calmly and with pride in her sister as she watched her power rise to yet further new heights from before. Valkyrie's power reached its former limit and then kept rising. Era smiled as she watched Valkyrie's power continue to grow, and when Valkyrie reached her limit she let out a sigh and her aura quieted down.

"Well?" She asked.

Era's smile grew warmer, filling with pride.

"1.6 million." She said.

Valkyrie beamed and smiled in return, her own smile filled with pride in herself for this increase. She then powered down and fired up her Scouter to prepare for Era's power up. Era took her stance and gave a shout of effort and her aura too flared to life as she powered up to her new limit. Valkyrie watched and seemed at first content with Era's progress, but slowly became more obviously disgruntled as Era's power continued rising. Finally Era's energy peaked and she relaxed herself, letting her arms drop slowly to her side with a long sigh.

"So? How am I doing?" She asked.

Valkyrie sighed softly, mostly from annoyance.

"1.8 million..." She said, disappointed that Era was slowly beginning to grow, little by little, further and further ahead.

Era smiled somewhat apologetically and powered down. She knew how much Valkyrie hated the fact that she was stronger. Valkyrie had always hated that about Era. Even when Valkyrie's power was greater Era's prodigious talent and ability to instantly memorize attack patterns and never let them succeed more than once had seen her defeat Valkyrie in nearly all but a few sparring sessions.

There wasn't much to say, so Era kept quiet. Valkyrie needed some time and space before she'd accept Era fully, if ever. But Era had hope that her sister would accept her. She accepted Valkyrie with open arms no matter what, sister or no. Hopefully in time Valkyrie would come to see Era as her sister as well. She'd like that more than anything.

Together the two women left that room and returned to their private rooms to rest, though Era decided to stop by Elprede's room just to bug him and see if he was still alive. She knocked on his door and, paying no attention to whether it was locked or not (and breaking the lock if it had been locked before), and threw the door open.

"Hey El!" She said happily.

"Dont tell me you're still moping about. Come on! Let's go discuss that technique of yours! Even if you don't show me physically you can at least tell me how it works right?!" She asked excitedly.

However, before Elprede could say much of anything the ship's warning lights turned on and a loud and obnoxious alarm began blaring throughout the ship.

"Oh come ON!!!" Era yelled.

Back on the main deck, the ship's operators were hard at work discerning the source of the alarm. It didn't take long for them to discover that it was one of the Darkhood ships rapidly approaching their own.

"Pyro, sir! Darkhood vessel approaching sir!" One of them called out.

"As per your orders we were keeping track of nearby uninhabited planets, and we found one sir! Shall we land?!" Another asked.

During the trip Pyro was train in the gravity a few hours everyday, between Era and Valkyrie over ten hours of training. On the first day he was fighting at his max power level, 100,000 in his first form against hologram clones of himself. He set the gravity at 20x at first and had the chamber set to increase the gravity as the fight went on. After five hours he made it to 50x gravity using the same power level while still fighting off his clones.

When Era and Valkyrie hogged the gravity chamber Pyro was in relaxing his room. He enjoy classically music and fine wine he had stored into the ship. The regular crew members made sure the ship was in good shape and tested the many new things it could do compared to their old ship.this involved a few interesting electrical test and speaker test. They even found a way to play music over the speaker system but they didn't have the best idea how it worked and ended up playing deafening rock n roll music. Pyro soon after blasted the the music player they had attached and told them not fix it or he'll just do it again.

On day five Pyro was training in the gravity chamber training when the alarms went off. A hologram appeared on a wall showing the crew member saying  "Pyro, sir! Darkhood vessel approaching sir!". The right after it showed another saying  "As per your orders we were keeping track of nearby uninhabited planets, and we found one sir! Shall we land?!.

"Yes, land as soon as possible. I'll be on deck in a few minutes!" Pyro said before the hologram went away. Pyro powered up to his max in his base form and had the chamber scan to see his power level. "115,000 power level confirmed" the computer stated. Pyro smirked before leaving the chamber and running to the main deck. The pilots were already quickly heading to the uninhabited planet. Pyro pressed a button on his scouter once he reached the deck and said over the speakers of the ship "A Darkhood ship is head to us at this moment. We are going to land on a near by planet. I want everyone ready incase anything goes wrong and the dirty monkeys and fox get ready to fight".

 @Deathrattle BB @ChoShadow

The ship landed on the isolated planet a few minutes later, and Valkyrie dragged Era and Elprede outside to prepare for the oncoming horde. Elprede would find an opportunity to create a Ki duplicate and send it out into space on a mission to keep the Darkhoods occupied while Era and Valkyrie would feign death by powering down throughout the course of the battle against the enemy forces. Pyro would stick nearby to ensure they didn't die for real, and when they seemed ready Pyro would set the planet on a one-way course to destruction to ensure the Darkhoods flee before they find out that the girls were alive and Elprede was still here.

That was the plan in theory anyway.

"Here they come!" Valkyrie said.

Sure enough the Darkhood vessel arrived a few moments later and began releasing a horde of hundreds of thousands of soldiers to the planet's surface. The weakest of them had power levels of around 60K and their stronger warriors around 1 million. There was one though who's power far eclipsed the rest. His power was a less than paltry 17 million, give or take a few hundred thousand. No way Era or Valkyrie could face that thing, but Pyro could. At least in theory. Having a higher power level didn't mean that one was guaranteed to win, but it seemed that this most powerful warrior was happy to wait in the ship for now.

"Val, where do we start?"

"With whatever enemies come to face you first, of course!"

"Got it!"

The two women powered up, their powers rapidly rising to their new maximum levels of 1.6 and 1.8 million respectively which had a very immediate impact on the path the enemies took as they approached. Those who knew they would die immediately avoided the two women, meaning that most of the enemies who came to fight them had powers exceeding 500K.

"You'd better remember how many you beat, because this is now officially a competition Era! I won't lose to you this time!"

"We'll see about that Val!"

As the enemies began pouring down upon them the two women flew out to meet them, and they were both excited for the fight and nervous about the plan. If it didn't work, they'd probably end up very and truly dead, and that would be disastrous. They'd only just begun to unlock their potential. They couldn't die now.

@ChazGhost @Deathrattle BB

Elprede didn't even need dragging by Valkyrie to be ready to get off the ship when it was going to land--in fact, that only served to get her butt tossed out the ship himself while he flew ran by. He may not be very strong, but by God, he will not be manhandled like that again. He was not particularly fond of ever being grabbed by anybody, in any situation whatsoever. Restricting his movement was something that he absolutely loathed by any offender, and that offender just happened to be Valkyrie at the time. Of course, she wouldn't be hurt by him hurling her by even the least bit, considering that his strike power at maximum currently was only half of her power level overall, but he did hope that he got the memo across. Don't grab him. When Era had done it, she managed to him hurt badly enough that he had to take time off of training to recuperate, which was terrible in itself because that meant that he was not fully prepared for a fight like this.

Regardless of slightly infuriating actions by others, he stood off to the side of Era, arms crossed over his chest. Elprede shot them an annoyed glance; competitions on the battlefield? There wasn't any place for that when they were in the middle of a life-or-death situation here. If they managed to fuck up in the slightest bit, they would be woefully paying the price. They couldn't afford those kinds of mistakes here, especially now.

"Era, Valkyrie, Pyro, don't stay in one place. Being surrounded is, unfortunately, inevitable with these odds against us, but you can still make use of better movement to break them up into groups." Elprede pointed out. He powered up himself, a flash of white light coming from him as he entered his Primal Form. "Drag them around, make them chase you. They're pretty much hopeless at ever actually catching me, so I'll be going around and giving you all support when needed."

He grinned and crouched low, looking up at the enemies coming towards them. "If we're lucky, we may just make it out of this alive..." He muttered. "JJ, how many are there?"

Jasmine performed a quick scan over them. He could feel the spike in nervousness from her. I estimate 200,000, sir... Give or take. She said anxiously.

Elprede nodded slowly, easily keeping pace with the Saiyan women, flying next to them. "Well, that's about 50,000 for the each of us." He looked at Era. "Are we still sticking to the plan?"

Pyro calmly walked of the ship right after Era, Valkyrie, and Elprede walked off. Once Pyro got of the crew put activated a shield around the ship that should hopefully block any rouge ki blast and last a last a while against direct assault from the Darkhoods.

Once the shield went up and hordes of darkhoods started flying down Pyro started powering up and a moment later transformed to his final form. Then he kept powering up until he decide to stop at 4 million. One of the Darkhood reached them as Pyro finished powering up. Pyro just grabbed the Darkhood by the neck with his tail.

"Of course we still going sticking with plan, through I will have my fun first. Just give signal when it's time to do my part" Pyro said before the the Darkhood neck made a cracking sound. Pyro tossed the body away and as the sayains and Elprede flew off. Pyro was going to following them before noticed a group of darkhoods fly in the direction of the Pyro's ship. Pyro gave a small sigh and flew at them with a ball of ki in one hand and smirk on his face. You just dug you graves y choosing to try to attack my ship... Pyro thought before firing a ki blast at the group. The ki blast hit and almost killed one of them.

The Darkhoods looked at Pyro as he came at them, now if not soon regretting there choices...

Era confirmed for Elprede they were sticking with the plan before she and Valkyrie took off to engage the descending enemies.

Era and Valkyrie engaged the numerous threats which pursued them with ferocious vigor, both eager to help one another but at the same time trying to outdo each other. Despite their previously less than friendly relations, fighting together in the gravity chamber helped greatly to restore Valkyrie's trust in Era and thus their teamwork once again became almost seamless. Fighting currently at full power they traded off between softening the enemy up and finishing them off. First Era would deflect incoming blows and use nerve attacks or joint breaks, and Valkyrie would either blast a hole through their chest or simply decapitate them with a knife-hand strike to the neck. Then it would be Valkyrie's turn to return the favor.

All in all they carried themselves very well despite the numbers of enemies who came down to engage them. But still it was definitely rough going. With powers in the 500-800K range, most of the enemies were still just challenging enough in sheer numbers to keep the girls on their toes while still landing blows against them from time to time. Each hit was heavy and demonstrated a well trained warrior behind it, meaning that this bunch was clearly meant to be of a higher caliber and pedigree than the one they'd fought before.

But this smooth battle continued until the enemy began to thin out and stronger foes began to descend. At first it was only mild increases in power level like 50K here and there, but before long enemies with power levels exceeding 850-950K began to appear. In the numbers that they came down in the battle was becoming very tough indeed for the two Saiyans. Every other blow that landed felt like a lead weight being thrown at them and it was beginning to honestly wear them down. Their power levels dropped steadily from 1.6 and 1.8 million to around 1.1 and 1.4 million respectively as Valkyrie and Era continued to fight. Era's prodigious talent for memorizing attack patterns so they never hit more than once saved her from some of the exhaustion Valkyrie was facing, but not by much.

Still they were holding their own. Just a bit longer until they released even stronger enemies before the plan would be set in motion. But they needed a realistic reason to lower their power levels and play dead before they would actually do so.

Elprede gave a short nod in understanding, facing the growing army of Darkhoods headed their way. He wondered how long it would until they realized just throwing an unorganized mass of goons at them wasn't going to be very effective at defeating them; handling something like this was only mildly difficult for himself, he couldn't really say the same for Era, Valkyrie, or Pyro. However, there wasn't exactly any need to be worried about them quite yet. They each had the ability to take quite the beating before they were down for the count. They would probably be fine.

He zipped on ahead of the rest of the group, charging at the Darkhoods. Before they even had the time to acknowledge that he had entered their numbers already, several of them had already been delivered to sleep by the deadly accuracy of Elprede's nerve attack. It took only a few seconds for them to figure out he was there, thousands of them instantly stopping or turning around to attack him. He took in a deep breath and held it for a few moments. The world appeared slow to him, a great difference from the perspective of everybody else. They may be moving fast in accordance to themselves and others, but to him, they were moving at a snail's pace. However, dodging thousands of slow-moving fists at once was still a challenge.

He managed well enough regardless. When they charge at him, they were instantly met with their attack being reversed and then countered with a brutal strike, or were promptly paralyzed from Elprede disrupting their body's natural state with a strike to a nerve. He was not sitting idly in a single spot, however; nay, he was dashing about the battlefield and covering his teammate's blind spots expertly. Any enemy that seemingly escaped their notice and came close to strike them were met with Elprede putting them down within a fraction of a heartbeat. Even while doing this, he could still somehow spare the focus to chat.

"Era, you wanted to learn the Mazunokari," he said quickly, pausing behind her and redirecting a kick aimed at his direction, spinning in place and delivering a faster-than-lightning kick to their stomach, sending that particular opponent rocketing away. "It's simple to learn, difficult to handle. Focus your Ki in your body; imagine it like it's growing bigger and then splitting apart like a cell. Then those cells grow larger and split as well, duplicating repeatedly." He instructed. He just hoped Valkyrie might hear it as well, all things considered, she might need it at some point as well. "Just be very cautious about exactly how much you power up. I don't suggest going beyond two times until you grow used to the massive strain on your body it brings--"

He ducked under a punch, dashing in on their guard and delivering a spear hand strike to their jugular. They fell unconscious in the air, plummeting down to the ground. "-I'm working on improving that so it's more usable Kinda difficult, though."

Just to show her how it was again, Elprede used the Mazunokari and erupted in a blast of red energy. His aura staggered others and sent weaker enemies flying even at the explosion of power. To reduce its strain on his body so he could fight for a while longer, he kept it at a minimum of two times himself. He disappeared from sight, reappearing behind Valkyrie to stop an attack just about to strike her in the back. He absorbed and redirected the kinetic energy, turning it into usable power and transferring it into Valkyrie as a bit of supplemental power. He quickly knocked that opponent unconscious and went about his way once more.

The Darkhoods Pyro first started attacking was only able fire a few shots before Pyro started throwing them around like rag dolls. Well it wasn't exactly like rag dolls but they were not strong enough to real hurt Pyro let alone last long against him. Pyro smashed one into the ground, throw one into a mountain, and killed the rest by mainly ki blasting holes into them.

"Round one goes to Pyro" Pyro said before more, a lot more darkhoods charged at him. There power levels were more higher then rest at 80,000 to over a million. "Well I geuss it's time for round two." Pyro said smirking before charging two ki balls in his hands. "I geuss it's as good a time as any to try out a new move. Double Black Death Cannon!" Pyro said before fireing two large blast from both of hands at the darkhoods ahead.

The large beams damaged several darkhoods and killed many more. The rest kept coming through. "It bit to fancy... Maybe two beams at once isn't the best idea... I work it out later" Pyro said calmly before blocking several attacks. The darkhoods were a bit harder to deal with then the last bunch he delt with before but were nothing he couldn't handle easily. Several darkhoods kept getting slamed away by Pyro's tail. The more that came at him the more they hesitated to confront Pyro being that alleys kept getting knocked away like fly.

Era and Valkyrie continued to engage the masses of enemies which poured around and on top of them. Many time they were forced to literally fight back to back as the enemies were so numerous now that it was almost impossible to keep up without getting hit in the back by a fist or Ki blast. All the while their Scouters were keeping track of the average power level of the enemies present, and they were slowly getting stronger. Each enemy they faced was slightly stronger then the last with the most recent having a power of just over 1 million, having been killed by both women working in unison.

But their energy was fading fast. They wouldn't be able to keep it up for long. Already Era's power had dropped to 1.15 million and Valkyrie's was now 890K. What was worse was that one enemy in particular with a power breaching 2.8 million had since arrived and was now singling out the two women over Pyro and Elprede.

The others seemed to get the hint that he would take care of them and split off to focus on Pyro and the First God while this creature took on Era and Valkyrie. He floated down before them with a confident smile.

"Well ladies, I commend you for lasting this long. But it's time for you to leave this world behind for good. Any last words or requests?" He asked.

Valkyrie snarled at him while Era smirked right back.

"Ask me later when you're bleeding out at my feet." Era proclaimed.

The enemy laughed and powered up raising his power from 2.8 to 3.5 million right before their eyes. Before they could so much as blink he'd appeared behind them and slammed both of them in the lower back with a single kick each. They went flying forward through the air and slowed to a halt a few hundred meters away. Both of them were now gravely injured though their spines were miraculously in tact. The humanoid creature then appeared in front of them, still smiling.

"That was just a greeting ladies. It gets much worse." He said.

Era lunged for him but her fist was caught and twisted behind her back as Valkyrie was kicked away. Screaming in pain, Era fought against him in vain before her shoulder was popped out of its socket and a solid punch found its way to her jaw sending her rocketing towards the ground below. She was then engulfed in a massive cloud of dust and debris as Valkyrie suffered a similar fate when he came down to appear behind her and once punched her into the base of a small hill nearby.

But he wasn't done yet. He raced through and grabbed both of them pulling them from the rubble by force and dragging them roughly along the surface of the planet before throwing them into the sky, disappearing and reappearing above them, and slamming his elbows into their stomachs and sending them flying into the ground below once more. Both of their powers dropped rapidly from these massive blows, and to make things worse Valkyrie was now unconscious with Era just barely clinging on.

He landed nearby and crossed his arms.

"You know, I could make this easy on you ladies. You have but to ask and I will end it right now." He offered casually.

Era forced herself to her feet and used the moment of peace to pop her shoulder back into its socket. She closed her eyes and took a breath or two, thinking back hard on how Elprede had described his Mazunokari technique. She focused her power within herself and began to manipulate it until she felt it beginning to rise. Feeling it out, she pushed higher and higher until at last the technique began to activate in full. Her red aura exploded to life around her as her power began to skyrocket.

However, against Elprede's wishes, she powered up much further than he had suggested. Her power soared to 5x her original power level, now settled at 9 million with the creature beginning to regret having not finished her off sooner.

Era rocketed forward and slammed her fist through his upper chest and out the back snapping his spine in the process and sending large amounts of blood and bone matter into the air behind him. She then let loose a concussive blast of Ki, knocking him off her arm, and then blasted his body into ashes before powering back down rapidly and floating to the ground. She landed on her feet and dropped to one knee. She was spent. She fell face down into the ground and lost consciousness, which was as good a signal as any to Pyro and Elprede that now was the time to put the plan in motion.

Elprede was hit by the force of the sudden wind that was created from Era suddenly powering up with the Mazunokari. He turned to face her direction, sensing her power and sighing quietly. Of course, she would do the thing that he specifically told her not to do... this was exactly the reason why he was so hesitant on teaching them the Mazunokari. If she had just killed herself now from doing such a drastic increase of power, especially when she was so low on energy already, that wasn't his problem any longer. He looked back around him; everybody else was still trying to recover from the sudden blast of energy. He closed his eyes and focused his thoughts. It was now or never.

There was time to yell at Era later. He needed to buy Pyro some time so he could set this planet on a one-way course to oblivion.

His Ki began to rise as he powered up with the Mazunokari--all things considered, his was more advanced than Era's simply due to him having a much larger amount of practice using the technique than Era, so his body was used to it and the aftereffects had less of an effect on him. He decided to push his limits a little body, his muscles swelling up from the increasing energy. When they finally hit a peak, he let loose a scream as his aura whiplashed outward in a frenzy, creating a windstorm as he powered up ten times greater than what he was before, his power settling at 659,000. That was near unspeakably high power for a Nephelem, and anyone who knew about them knew that any Nephelem that strong was not to be trifled with anyways.

He didn't waste a second, though. He spurred into action the moment his transformation was complete; turning into an invisible blur. He raced about the battlefield, dealing critical nerve attacks to thousands of enemies by the second. His movements were precise and fluid, something other beings could only marvel and dream of achieving such perfection while moving so quickly. He was nearing the speed of light by this point, but his strikes never went beyond what was required to kill that specific enemy. They dropped like flies all around until the airspace was completely clear of enemies. It wouldn't last long; there were more coming.

Elprede appeared beside Pyro for a moment. "Pyro, it's time." He said. This was only a copy of the First God, however, the real one was already gone. He had activated Negative Ki; it hid both his body and Ki from the senses, like an invisible bullet. He grabbed Era and Valkyrie, his bubble of Negative Ki working to hide them as well. All things considered, they would not be able to be found anyways because they would either be assumed dead or be hidden under the mounds of bodies piling up on the ground.

He appeared back on the ship with them, gently placing the two women on their respective beds in their room. He decided he would remain in there with them, they would need to be kept hidden along with him if this was going to work. That was assuming that the Darkhoods were smart enough to simply destroy the ship as well. There wasn't any way for the Saiyans to escape if they did.

Meanwhile, the copy of Elprede kept up the fight with the Darkhoods until he was forced to retreat, fleeing the planet whenever it was about to explode.

Pyro was still easliy fighting off the darkhood, through he had increase his power level to 5 million to do it. Then he noticed the saiyans hit the ground and get knocked out. Then Elprede told him it was time. Pyro smirked alittle before annouceing to the darkhoods "This was fun gentlemen but as many good things it has to end. I do thank you for killing the dirty monkey's, it saved me the trouble of doing it myself later. Now goodbye gentlemen".

Pyro then lifted up one hand and started creating a huge ball of ki, one the size of a mountain. Then what he did with it was surpirsing, he started condeseing the ki making the ball smaller and smaller. It soon became the size of car. The ki was starting to get unstable and Pyro waz struggling to keep it stable. "Death Nova Cannon!"  Pyro said firing a beam straight at the planet. The beam went straight through the planet. "Huh so that worked... I'll keep that move in mind..." Pyro said looking at lava rushing out of the hole in the ground. Then the ground it self started breaking apart.

Pyro quickly flew to his ship and got inside. "Get the engies going and get us off this world before it breaks apart!" Pyro said on his scouter to the main deck once he was on board. The pilots did just that and the ship took off quickly and just in time to escape the destruction of the planet. The planet bursted into millions of pieces from the inside out. "Well that was fun."

The plan had been a success... Barely.

Thankfully though it worked. The Darkhoods hightailed it off world as soon as Pyro made his move once they were sure that Era and Valkyrie were dead thanks to Pyro's words and had sent word that the First God had fled the planet and out into the universe. They were not in hot pursuit and dedicated to finding the copy which gave the real Elprede and the others a much needed reprieve.

Valkyrie had been unconscious with a very low power level, but woke up before long in her bed and groaned against the pain she was feeling throughout her body. The humanoid had worked them over quite well, though not enough to inflict the kind of damage that they'd been hoping for. Still she was quite worn out and could feel a few broken ribs and at least one cracked/misplaced vertebrae in her back as she lay there.

"That's the last time we do that..." She groaned.

Era, meanwhile, was slipping away.

Her gross overexertion of her power was beginning to take a deadly toll on her body in accordance with Elprede's warning. Even as she lay unconscious with her power in double digits, her muscles convulsed, her Ki flickered about like a broken stream of electric current inside her body, and her power was not restoring itself as it usually did when she was in a state of rest. The one doctor on board the ship had made it to her side and was assessing her situation.

"Nurse, bring me her Scouter please." He said.

The Nurse took the Scouter from Era's nearby table and gave it to him. He activated it to first analyze her power, and then did a bio-scan.

"Power level 56, and dropping very slowly. Bio scans indicate numerous stress fractures along the exterior limbs and eight definitively broken ribs." He noted, the nurse taking down the details.

He cycled through the scan modes and checked her Ki pathways.

"Her Ki pathways are shot." He said.

"Multiple disconnections and fraying of the pathways, almost like they were strings of yarn that were forcefully pulled apart... Unless we get those fixed right away she'll never regain her former power." He noted, the nurse again writing it down worriedly.

Elprede released the Negative Ki shield when he figured that they were far enough away from the Darkhoods that they couldn't be sensed anymore by them. He had to at least hope their abilities to sense Ki were not good enough to be able to do that across such a vast distance. The effects were instantaneous when his own Mazunokari dropped, alongside the use of Negative Ki... he turned deathly pale for a moment, his muscles sudden shrinking and spasming, convulsing all across his body. He growled openly at the pain but managed to recover soon enough, his natural rejuvenation making it fairly simple. The perks of being a Nephelem for once.

He stood up shakily and went to Valkyrie, sighing. "You know, you two aren't alone in this fight." He muttered. He cracked his knuckles and jabbed her in a few points on her body; his perfected precision made it fairly simple to hit points that would stimulate Ki flow and lessen pain in her body in general. There wasn't much he could for her broken bones aside from relocating them back where they were supposed to be, but he'd rather let the doctors handle that. Besides, there were more important matters at hand currently. Era.

He limped across the room to the other Saiyan woman, placing a hand against her chest to feel her heartbeat. It was far too small for any good health, especially for her power. He could feel how low her energy was and that was extremely alarming. He listened to the doctor's and nurse's report on her various injuries, letting out an internal sigh. Why didn't Era just heed his warnings? She must've known that this was going to cause such a reaction in her, and at what cost? If she wasn't immediately healed, she would possibly never be able to use Ki again.

Well, that left only two solutions; letting it healed naturally, which could take months to years before she would ever be able to use her Ki to their maximum potential again, or he could take the second route and use a technique he learned quite a while back. It was a Nephelem thing that medical practitioners used fairly often and worked miracles on other Nephelem; through extremely precise and careful control of oneself's Ki, they could manipulate and redirect the flow of Ki through the body. Due to the nature of Nephelem and their many pathways, this was a miracle in that they could simply redirect all the Ki through any of the other unused pathways of the body, thus maintaining normal functions of Ki while also stimulating growth and allowing controlled manipulation of the damaged pathways.

Era was no Nephelem, this technique could be a disaster when used on her. She did not have as numerous of pathways as a Nephelem. He needed to see which parts were damaged and which were not before he attempted anything. He summoned his own Ki and sent a small bit of it through her both; it was tiny and minuscule, unable to really do much of anything to her besides feel out her body. He sat on the edge of the bed, his hand placed on her chest with his eyes closed. When he was sure that his own Ki had finished, he drew it back out and flicked it away into the air. Just like what Era had done to him before on the Outpost, an image of all of her pathways appeared before him, damaged and severed as they were.

He had his work cut out for him this time.

He looked at Valkyrie and the doctor and nurse. She wasn't going to survive if he didn't do it. "Stay out of the way and stay absolute silence. I need to focus as much as I possibly can if I'm going to be able to save her." He commanded, shifting so he was sitting next to Era directly, looking down at her.

JJ, activate noise cancellation on my end. He asked.

"Yes, sir." She responded immediately. As soon as she did, the sounds of the outside world died down to absolute silence for him as Jasmine altered his hearing. He let out a small sigh, shaking his head.

"Can't believe I ever have to do this again..." He muttered, reaching out and unbuttoning the clothes on her chest until he could open it up and laid her bare before him. With a small nod, he summoned his key once again, looking over at the image of her Ki pathways still hanging there. He placed his index finger on very specific points in her body where there were no damages to a pathway, injecting her with small bits of his Ki once more. The image changed again, now in real time as it adjusting itself so that it actually showed the movement of Era's Ki. He watched it closely, scanning through it and doing extremely careful scans of her himself until he was satisfied.

One could even see the movement of his own Ki in her body, appearing blue in a haze of red. He allowed his Ki to build up slowly in her body, moving in tune with her own Ki until he met with the pathways that were frayed. His Ki slid through like butter, gently coaxing these to expand themselves back to their normal states. He did this multiple at the time until he encountered the first actual break in her Ki, the energy leaking out from it. He created a seal and maneuvered the Ki back, making them channel through a different means. He focused, moving his own Ki again to take the broken pathway, moving it very slowly back into place. This would've been a very painful process for her if she weren't unconscious already. When he was sure it was perfectly in place once more, he created an energy splint around it, attaching them back together artificially until they healed for themselves. When Era was strong enough, she could take over these and maintain them herself.

There was one last thing he had to do, Era may or may not dislike him for this in the long run. So he could keep his Ki in her body and keep her pathways from splitting apart again, he had to link his Ki to hers temporarily. Nephelem called this technique as a 'spirit link,' or a marital link. It was typically done only between married couples, but all things considered, he didn't have a choice. It linked the Ki of the couples across vast distances; they were aware of each other at nearly all times; mental state, physical health, their Ki, some were said to even be strong enough to hear each other's thoughts and feel what the other felt.

In this case, he certainly did feel the pain her body was going through, it was like he was choking up himself. However, he kept it purposeful that they could not share thoughts or emotions, that was a part he was not ready to give to anybody except for Jasmine. At least this way he could keep a steady channel of his Ki to her uninterrupted, along with a means of keeping an eye on her himself. He could possibly dispell it with her wishes whenever she was fully recovered again.

He would have continued this process for some time, working to mend all of the different pathways in her body, until he finally managed to mend the last one. He sat up straight with a loud pop of his smile, standing up straight and stretching his back and arms out above his head. "Can one of you get me some food or water?" He asked, his stomach suddenly letting out a loud growl. "I'm hungry..."

Pyro wemt aroumd him ship making sure everyone and everything was ok. The ship was in perfect working order sense only a few rogue ki blasts hit the sheilds. After making of that he grabbed himself a bottle of wine and some glasses and headed to where saiyans and Elprede were to check on them. He came in as Eleprede was doing the spirt link. Pyro wasn't sure what he was doing but he sure it was need. "So doc what going on here?" Pyro asked.

"I don't know but we need to be queit for whatever he is doing to work." The doctor whispered to pyro.

"I see..." Pyro said queitly before pouring himself a glasses of wine. Once Eleprede was done and asked for food Pyro handed him a glass of wine. "Hey ms.Lisa could you please grabbed some food from mess hall for him" Pyro asked the nurse who headed away quickly to grab Elprede some food. "So fox what exsactly did you just do to the monkey? Was she die for real?" Pyro asked after giving Elprede a second to drink his wine if he wanted to. The nurde came back in a few mintues with a plate of food for Elprede.

@Deathrattle BB @ChoShadow

Valkyrie wasn't too thrilled about Elprede touching her, let alone doing anything to her Ki. But she knew deep down he was just trying to help and whatever he did seemed to do just that. Her pain eased slightly and she was at least able to sit up despite a few cracked ribs and other injuries. She moved to the edge of her bed and found her way to Era's bedside as Elprede did... something, to her. The removal of her clothing over her chest would be something Era would laugh about and tease Elprede for if she were conscious right now. Valkyrie just watched silently as Elprede did whatever it was he was doing.

When he finished and said he was hungry, she scoffed.

"You're hungry..." She said half jokingly.

She was starving, and that meant a trip to the ship's mess hall to take whatever they had on hand and scarf it down for herself. She wasted no time. Despite her weakened condition and her injuries she limped to the mess hall and gathered all the food she felt she could handle at her table. It more than shocked some of the others who'd never actually seen a Saiyan's seemingly bottomless stomach at work before. Though Valkyrie ate with halfway decent table manners, the speed at which she consumed the food and the consistency with putting it away despite how much she'd eaten was more than a bit odd to the crew who observed her.

But Valkyrie didn't care.

Meanwhile, in her own mind, Era was something of a prisoner. Her mind was conscious, but it seemed disconnected from her body in some strange sort of way. She was aware that she was in pain and that she'd definitely overdone it on the technique Elprede told her how to use, but what else had she done? What else had become damaged? In her mind it was hard to tell what had truly happened to her body because right now she was conscious but not. It was a strange sense of limbo she was caught in.

However, it didn't last for too long. A few hours later Era's mind finally succumbed to true unconsciousness and she was able to rest as her body began to slowly adjust to the fixes that Elprede had imposed on her Ki pathways. Her energy was flowing slower than normal, but it was flowing properly which allowed her body to begin the process of healing itself as it always used to. It seemed almost as if her body knew that if it pushed its own recovery too hard and allowed her energy to flow normally that it could cause itself damage.

When Era awoke, it had been almost two full days and she found herself in a Rejuvenation Chamber with Valkyrie sitting just outside watching her.

"How long was I out?"

"Two full days."

Era nodded slowly.

"What were you thinking?" Valkyrie asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You could have destroyed your body by powering up like that. Were you even thinking at all when you used that technique?"

"Not particularly. I just knew that if I let that thing live it would have killed us for real and our plan would have backfired."

"Honestly Era for someone so prodigiously talented and intelligent when it comes to the physical side of  combat, you really can be an idiot sometimes."

Era smiled behind her rebreather.

"Sounds like you're worried about me, Val." She joked.

Valkyrie stomped the floor shaking the ship a little.

"This isn't a joking matter Era!!" She yelled as she pressed her hand firmly against the side of the Rejuvenation Chamber.

It only took a few seconds for her to realize what she had done, so she forced herself to take a breath to calm herself down. Despite her efforts she was very visibly upset.

"Look... I may never accept you as my sister, but you have always been my friend without whom I'd have been killed long ago. Of course I worry about you. Of course I care about you." She said, slightly dipping her head.

"Don't you ever take another risk like that again. Do you hear me?" She said in a hushed, but firm tone.

Era closed her eyes.

Had she not already been submerged in fluid, the tears in her eyes would have been very visible. As it was, they were not.

"I understand Valkyrie... I promise I won't take a risk like that again. On my honor." She said quietly.

Valkyrie nodded and removed her hand from the Chamber.

"We need you Era. Between the two of us you're more likely to discover the Super Saiyan form. Without you our hopes of survival drop exponentially... And without you, I would have no reason to continue fighting to survive against these pathetic Darkhoods."

Era could only nod as her invisible tears continued to flow.

"Get some rest and let the Chamber do its work. When you're finished in here, we'll go back to training in the gravity room together."

"Understood." She whispered.

Valkyrie then departed the medical bay and returned to her room while Era was left floating in the healing liquids as she tried to get ahold of herself and stop crying. Val wasn't the most emotional person she knew. For Valkyrie to get so upset with her was rare. In fact it had only ever happened once in their lives. But to see Valkyrie so upset on her behalf and worried about her well being brought Era great joy. To know that she was cared for was something most Saiyan women didn't experience beyond the occasional camaraderie they formed with their fellow teammates when they were part of a group instead of singular and solo travelers. It felt good to be cared for and worried about by her lifelong friend and recently discovered sister.

Era's Ki pathways were well on their way to mending, but would take another day or two of recovery time in the chamber before they were truly finished. Her body too required another day or two in the chamber before it was ready to face the outside world again.

Meanwhile, Valkyrie returned to the gravity room to train on her own with the gravity up at 70x. Era would receive a powerful boost to her Ki when she was fully recovered. Valkyrie didn't want Era getting too far ahead of her. Her own power had spiked to just over 2.2 million, but she wanted more. She knew Era would be stronger than that when she got out of that chamber. But how much stronger exactly? Val didn't know, and she honestly didn't want to know either. All she wanted was for her own power to be somewhere close to what Era's was when she walked out of the chamber in a couple days. But the chances she'd be able to make much headway on her own, even in a chamber like this one where gravity could be manipulated, weren't very high...

Elprede hunched over with a small groan, poking himself in all the points that Era herself had broken. The aches and pain were something he had not been looking forward to when he did the Spirit Link, he just needed a way to monitor her condition more closely than a machine would allow. This was the unfortunate side effect and it would only increase as Era would move around, decrease over the time it would take for her to properly recover. He was never going to teach that girl anything that had to do with boosting her power like the Mazunokari again.

He looked at the wine Pyro gave to him, making a face and drinking it all in a few gulps. He shivered, shaking his head. "Gah... no more of that for me." He said. "I used my Ki to manipulate Era's so that I could reinforce or reopen her Ki pathways. She outright destroyed a lot of them, any that were intact still I did the best I could by realigning and attaching them back together." He answered, leaving out the part about him placing the Spirit Link on her. That was something Elprede was going to only privately talk to Era when she was recovered enough.

He quickly ate the food given to him and ignoring Valkyrie went about his normal business again. Whenever the others were not in the gravity room, he took a gander and trained in it himself for a little while before he went back to his room to continue his research. Even between these trips he was constantly going back to Era to check up on her or just sensing her out with the Spirit Link. He didn't really gain much from the training himself, nor was his research really bringing much hope either. There just wasn't much else to do anymore right now and that sucked because he could really do with more important things to do.

He was heading to Era's Rejuvenation Chamber again when he suddenly felt some liquid building up in his eyes and falling down. Confused, he reached up and wiped the tears away.

Jasmine took notice. "Sir, are you alright?" She asked, concerned for him.

He blinked and nodded. I believe so? I think this is just some backlash of the Link. He responded.

"How odd..."

He entered the room Era was being kept in right as Valkyrie left, approaching her Rejuvenation Chamber with his arms crossed over his chest. "Hey," he greeted, peering into it at her. "How's it going?"

As Era tried to compose herself after her talk with Valkyrie, Elprede entered the room and greeted her.

"Hi El... I'm fine." She said, trying to maintain an even voice against the slight quiver in her throat.

She opened her eyes and took a breath.

"What have you been up to lately?" She asked.
