The moment the ship entered the atmosphere neither Valkyrie nor Era waited for it to land. They were both waiting at the ship's main doors and pressed the button to open them and then rocketed outside. Thanks to the Spirit Link, Era could sense exactly where Elprede was and she honed in on his power like a moth to the light of a bonfire. Both she and Valkyrie were instantly at full power and racing through the skies as fast as they could. Though they weren't ever going to be as fast as Elprede, both of them broke the sound barrier at least thrice over causing them to appear as little other than streaks of red light with massive gale force winds trailing in their wake.

By the time they reached Elprede's position they let the sonic boom blow away most of the Darkhoods in the vicinity before slowing down and regaining control of their flight path. Era descended down to stand beside Elprede, and Valkyrie remained up in the sky to keep the Darkhoods at bay. Currently their powers were vastly lower than the Saiyan's own, so Valkyrie was able to handle them by herself while Era gave Elprede a brief checkup.

'El, are you all right?!" She asked somewhat frantically.

Meanwhile, inside the Darkhood ship, a pair of eyes watched the two Saiyans arrive along with Pyro and did so with great interest. He sat in a dark room watching the screen, and as he watched he couldn't help but smile at how easily Valkyrie was now swatting aside a small army of his minions. Then again, with a power level measured at 4.5 million, Valkyrie was over 20x stronger than the most powerful Darkhood currently active on the battlefield. The strongest was only at 200K, meaning Valkyrie had an easy time brushing them all aside to give Era time to check on Elprede.

The camera watching the battle switched over to Pyro, who's maximum power was read, despite him currently holding back, at just over 40 million which gave the other Darkhoods in the room with the Captain serious pause. The Captain himself, however, merely scoffed at Pyro's power.

"I can't believe that Frost Demon has reached a power like that." Said one.

"None of our men even come close to that." Said another.

"Captain, can we even defeat him? Perhaps we should retreat?" Said the first again.

The Captain was silent. All he did was lift a single finger, point it behind himself, and gave it a flick and the Darkhood who suggested they retreat was instantly vaporized. The others were left speechless and quivering in fear.

"Retreat is an option only for those who deserve to live to fight another day... That coward didn't deserve that right." He said coldly.

"B-b-but C-captain... The Frost Demon's power-"

"Is nothing. I could wipe him out with a flick of my finger just as easily as I did that sniveling spec of space dust." He said, glancing over his shoulder to the burn mark on the ground which was once the other Darkhood.

"Or do you doubt me?" He growled.

"NO CAPTAIN!! I DO NOT DOUBT YOU, SIR!!" The Darkhood yelled, snapping to attention.

The Captain smiled.

"Good." He said, returning his eyes to watch the screen.

The screen then showed Era and Elprede. Era was trying to help him sit down so he could catch his breath and get at least a few minutes of much needed rest while she and Valkyrie and Pyro took control of the battle space. It wouldn't be more than ten minutes before they all wiped the Darkhood army out at this pace. Even Valkyrie could do it by herself as she didn't seem to be having any trouble. Thanks to their training with Pyro, they hadn't just grown stronger. They had, as Valkyrie declared, grown more powerful which meant they had gotten faster, their natural reaction times had increased, their endurance and stamina had increased more than their power levels had, and they had greatly improved the conservation of Ki despite using powerful attacks meaning they could launch more powerful attacks more times and with greater frequency.

For once the Darkhood army sent out against them stood no chance of survival whatsoever.

And at this fact, the Captain grew greatly annoyed.

"I'll give those worthless dogs a few more minutes to at least take one of them down before I handle things myself." He said, continuing to observe the battle through the cameras currently monitoring the situation below.

Back on the planet, Era helped Elprede find a good and semi-sheltered spot to rest while she stayed right next to him to fend off any Darkhoods which thought to slip by Valkyrie.

Valkyrie herself was handling them quite well. Once or twice a few slipped past, but she quickly fixed that by blasting them in the back and wiping them out before going back to face those who were still coming at them. The Darkhoods facing Pyro were a similar story. He was casually wiping them out and letting his men loot the bodies for anything they could find. Since these Darkhoods were here for a hunting mission, they weren't carrying much of value. Most of them didn't carry anything at all. But a pirate is a pirate and the occasional gem amongst a pile of dirt clods was still a possibility. One of the Darkhoods every now and then had some galactic credits or some other kind of valuable on them, but they were few and far between.

Poor Pyro wasn't going to discover too much amongst their corpses, but Era gave him points for trying.

Elprede blasted back a few more Darkhoods that tried to flank him. He had begun using their kinetic energy to try and supplement the lost power from dishing out against them for days. He couldn't even begin to imagine the number of men and women they had lost attempting to kill him, even finishing him off in a weakened state was quite the hassle for them. Their numbers would prove to be his downfall. Keeping up a fight like this for days on end... any other man would have fallen way long ago by now. He was lucky to be a Nephelem.

When they were blown back, he was as well but regained control nearly instantly, ready to counterattack whoever had sent the force at him. He nearly threw a punch at Era before he paused and almost fainted with relief, giving her a wobbly grin.

"What took you guys so long?" He asked, breathing labouredly.

All the fight in him nearly died in that moment and he just let himself be led along by Era, sitting down and closing his eyes. Jasmine had long since gone into a hibernation state to conserve as much of Elprede's energy as they could. Being able to sit down for a few minutes was a much-needed break. His regeneration could finally properly catch up to his body's demands. He looked down at his hand, noticing that he was in his regular form... when did he exit Primal Form? Why didn't he feel weaker at all?

Shaking his head, he let out a shaky sigh, leaning back and collapsing on the ground. "Thought I was gonna die out here, them swarming me..." he murmured.

Era chuckled at Elprede's whining.

"Oh calm down dear." She teased.

"I'll be sure to give you a full body massage when this is all over. After all, isn't that what a wife does?... Makes her husband happy and relaxed?" She teased further.

She knew he was too tired to care about her teasing, but she teased him all the same.

Her attention, however, was drawn to the skies as a blast came far too close for comfort. She looked up and saw that Valkyrie had just barely caught a Darkhood who had slipped by her attention and was almost on top of Era. Era herself didn't doubt that she could have handled the situation, but still the fact that one of them got so far past Val was a bit concerning. Was he stronger? Faster? Or was Valkyrie getting a bit swamped?

Looking at the situation, it seemed to be the latter as more and more of them were descending on Val than Era had previously thought.

"Sit tight hubby. I'll be back." She said.

She took off and flew up to Valkyrie's position.

"Need a hand?"

"I could definitely use a hand or two. They're weak but there's so many that I can't keep up with them all."

"Not a problem. Let's do this."

The two women floated back to back, each one taking down all the Darkhoods who came within reach. Any who tried to fly past them was blasted to oblivion, and those who fought up close were pulverized with extreme prejudice.

Finally, after another ten minutes or so, the numbers had thinned so much that the remaining couple hundred Darkhoods were hesitant about even approaching. The ground was so littered with bodies that it was probably fifteen or twenty feet of corpses for around a hundred meters or so in every direction beneath the two women.

"Seems they don't want any more trouble."

"... I doubt it."

Inside the ship, the Captain was seething.

"Pathetic." He barked.

Everyone in the room lost the color in their faces.

"Fine. Send them out." He said.

"Yes, sir... But why?" Asked one of the crew.

"Do not make me tell you twice."

"Yessir!!"

With that, an order was given and a group of four humanoids, each one of them with power levels between 4 and 7 million, floated out from the ship and approached Era and Valkyrie.

"Okay, that's new."

"Yeah..."

Era wasn't convinced that this was the big fight they'd been expecting. Each of these humanoids were extremely powerful, but they didn't seem to command the kind of fear or respect that a Captain or true leader did among the Darkhoods that they'd seen thus far.

"What do you think?"

"I think the center left and far right are mine."

"Fine. Just don't do anything stupid like try that technique at 5x your power level again."

"Don't worry. I won't make that mistake again."

"Good luck Era."

"You too."

Era and Valkyrie then took off and engaged their respective opponents. Val's opponents had power levels of 4.3 and 5.2 million, and Era's had powers of 6.2 and 6.9 million respectively. This battle was going to be very, very difficult for them. As powerful as they were, these four were just as strong and, worse, there were two of them for each Saiyan. And it became clear very quickly that they were not exactly pushovers either. Even Era was struggling at first to keep up with her enemies and remain competitive in the fight.

But this was a good test of their new abilities, and both women were excited for a good fight.

Back on the ship, the Captain had the camera focused on Pyro.

"His maximum is 40 million, correct?"

"Correct, sir. At least that's the estimate."

"Hmm..."

"Sir?"

"Executive Officer has the watch while I am away. Take care of the ship until my return." He said as he stood up from his chair.

"Yessir!"

The Captain floated out to the entrance of the ship and stood on the ramp which was still extended allowing the other Darkhoods who were no longer fighting to return to the ship. The whole time the Captain kept his eyes on Pyro, who was nearby. A smirk crossed his lips and he floated up and over towards the Frost Demon.

This Captain looked nearly identical to a human being, but his skin was a pasty sky blue coloration and he had a prominent ridge across the forehead area and also had a long and whip-like tail not unlike Pyro's. He had five fingers, but his feet looked slightly less humanoid. It seemed like they were the type of two-toed feet with claws, but the boots covered them so there wasn't a way to be absolutely certain. All in all, very humanoid, but definitely not a human of any kind.

He floated down to Pyro and smiled.

"Greetings, Frost Demon. I presume that, due to your power level, you are more or less the one in charge of this motley crew of a Nephelem, two Saiyans, and these... crewmen, pirates, of yours?" He asked, gesturing across the battlefield.

Elprede made a very displeased face at Era. Of course, she would choose now, of all times, to start teasing him about their somewhat reluctant marriage of sorts. He had not been able to mentally prepare himself for such travesties and so just let out an annoyed sigh at her. This was going to be a long, long day.

"Wife or not," he said tightly, "I'd rather her to be kicking some Darkhood ass for me right now than giving me a massage." He sat up straight, flexing his left arm. "... Maybe after... I think I pulled a muscle..." He tacked on at the end.

He remained on the ground in boredom for a few moments to regain some of his lost energy. Jasmine eventually came online once more and that was a most enjoyable reunion for them both, but there were more pressing matters. Like the Darkhoods up above him with Era and Valkyrie, and he sensed an even more powerful enemy enter the battlefield.

He floated up, stretching his left arm out slowly and painfully to try and rid of it of that misery and relax the muscles. They were all tight and bunched up--fighting for four days straight with no breaks would do that to you. When he spotted the big Darkhood and Pyro together he inwardly scoffed. This was either going to be a slaughter or there was going to be major trouble for them.

The good fight Era and Valkyrie were engaged in was becoming a free for all between the six combatants. Despite their best efforts to control the fight and face their respectively chosen enemies, those enemies didn't seem to care for playing by the rules. They would ditch the Saiyan who had engaged them to attack the other one whenever possible. Especially the one with a power of 6.9 million. He didn't care to play by the silently established rules at all. He routinely left the fight with Era to assault Valkyrie due to her having a much weaker power level. Three on one, at this stage, was too much even for Era and Valkyrie. Neither one of them was able to put up much of a fight whenever one would ditch and start grouping three on one against the other. The Saiyan who fought one on one had to find a way to break through and even the odds, and this happened several times over.

Eventually, after around five straight minutes of combat like this, both Era and Valkyrie were growing both annoyed and frustrated with their opponents.

Being Saiyans, the held a certain level of respect for all enemies they came across. Even if it was a life or death fight, they respected their enemies enough to not gang up on them or fight dirty. There was a kind of unspoken promise that they would fight fair, and if death was all that waited for their enemies then so be it. But always they gave them that respect that they would fight fair. These Darkhoods, as powerful as they were, didn't care about fighting fair. Whether it was just their way or they had found out that this was arguably the Saying's greatest combat weakness was left to the imagination. But undoubtedly the fight was beginning to look rather one sided against the girls as they were being slowly worn down.

However, Era had one trick left... The Mazunokari.

It happened when Era was the one fending off three enemies once again, and she lowered her guard for a few seconds and, during that time, took a ferocious beating. However the brief moment of concentration was all she needed to recall the feeling of the technique washing over her and quenching her thirst for the power needed to take control of this fight.

Her aura flared to life and blew all three of them away, as well as catching the eye of the fourth who mistakenly looked at her while Valkyrie whipped around behind it and slammed her knee into the back of its neck knocking it out. One enemy down, but not dead. However Valkyrie remedied that as it fell due to its power level dropping as it was unconscious. She blasted a hole through its chest shortly before it hit the ground, making the battle now three against two. And one of those two was now twice as powerful as before.

Era's power shot up to 12.4 million thanks to the Mazunokari, and the enemies seemed able to sense this as well as the Captain who glanced over his shoulder to take a quick look at the power spike. Era's doubling of energy was a rather worrisome ability, and the Captain knew better than to let her continue to do this. However, he had no need to act immediately. There would be time for that, so he returned his attention to Pyro.

Meanwhile, Era made rather quick work of the remaining Darkhoods with her now doubled energy and knocked all three of them out. As they fell to the ground both she and Valkyrie lit them up with powerful Ki blasts, killing each one, and then relaxed. Era let the power of the Mazunokari recede and her energy returned to its natural state. She felt a bit odd afterwards though. A bit stiff and a few twitches of muscles which seemed a bit out of place, but Elprede had warned her that it was hard on the body to use that technique. This must have been what he meant.

However for now they floated down to the ground and took their place besides Elprede as they watched Pyro and the Captain conversing.

"Any measurement on that guy's power Era?" Val asked, not trusting the Scouter's reading of exactly 1 million.

"No... But if he has approached Pyro so casually he must be powerful enough to put up a fight." Era answered.

Elprede crossed his arms, watching the fight between Era, Valkyrie, and those other Darkhoods with a small bit of contempt. Even if he wasn't intent on fighting himself right now, especially since he had been for four days straight, he still wanted something to do other than watch. This activity was quite boring to him. This only his natural instincts and reactions talking for him, though, Nephelem wanted to be in constant motion like the atoms around them. Sitting still for a long time was akin to torture because the world was too slow.

His Ki regeneration was returning back to normal, along with his bodies normal regularities. It was good, he wasn't relying on the last dregs of his energy anymore to keep up. He was still quite tired from lack of sleep or decent food.

"He is a lot stronger than that reading you're getting on the Scouters," Elprede said, frowning. "Either Pyro will make mince meat of him, or this is going to be a fight we're not getting away from unscathed."

"Yes I lead the dirty monkeys and little fox as well as the pirates taking things off your dead men. I'm captain Pyro. And assume your the leader of these darkhood force." Pyro said sizing the darkhood leader up as he held a darkhood man by his neck. "I also assume your here to fight me. Please tell you are because your men arn't putting up a real fight against me" Pyro added crushing the darkhoods throat. Then as he waited for an answer from lead darkhood he got into a fighting stance.

Pyro was only using a power level of 5 million to easily kill off the darkhoods. But he was ready to power up quickly if the darkhood infront of him was going to put a good fight. The pirate who were scavaging the battle field saw the darkhood confront Pyro they retreated back to the ship in a hurry. Once they got on board they raised the sheilds in hopes to not get caught up in what ever battle was about go down.

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

The Darkhood Captain bowed his head to Pyro very slowly, almost mockingly so.

"So you're a Captain are you?" He asked with a chuckle.

"That's a good one. A Frost Demon carrying a title. But I'll humor you, Captain Pyro." He said, putting his hands behind his back.

"You may call me Death, as that's what I will be to you and the others down there. My men may have been rather pathetic, but that's only because the higher ups won't let me train them. 'Too much wasted time,' they said. But if I had trained them, rest assured you'd be either fighting for your life right now, or you'd already be dead." He said confidently.

"Now, I know your full power is around 40 million thanks to the advanced scanning systems on board my vessel. But I don't think it's fair that you don't know my maximum power... Would you like to know?" He asked, tilting his head to one side.

"Two hundred and forty million. Six times that of your own maximum power." He said with another light bow.

When he finished the bow, he powered up instantly to 40 million, matching Pyro's power level.

"You may come with me with everything you've got whenever you're ready. And don't worry. I won't try to counter just yet. I want to see where  your limits are before I destroy you." He said mockingly, opening his arms to both sides with open hands practically daring Pyro to attack him.

@ChazGhost @Deathrattle BB (This guy isn't joking about his maximum power. We're all about to get our tails kicked, so just do your best and engage this guy with all Pyro has to offer. Era and Valkyrie will jump in soon too, probably on my next post.)

Pyro was stunnted by the aleins claim of a power level some much higher then his own. Pyro got a hold of him self and quickly powered up to his max, 40 million. His muslces got bifger and his veins started getting bigger as well. All in all he got buff quick. " I have no reason to assume your lieing so I'll give you what you want." Pyro said hovering pf the ground. Then he started creating a huge ball of ki, the size of a mountain.

Then he began shrinking the ball and compressing until it was the size of a small car. "Now you want to see my limit? Well take this... Omega Nova Death Cannon!" Pyro yelled fire blast using the ki ball at Death. This blast was even stronger then the one he used to destroy a world before.

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

The Darkhood Captain, Death, as he wanted to be called, watched Pyro float into the air and proceed to create a Ki ball the size of a mountain before condensing it into something much smaller. Presumably this was to better control it and help it become faster and less easily dodged, and while that was all well and good he couldn't help but smile.

He stretched out his hand and waited patiently for the ball to reach him. As it did so, he caught it. Simple as that. He caught it. Using his Ki as a buffer, he prevented the ball from exploding as it might normally do once it made contact with a target. Once it was under control, he tilted his palm up and flung the ball into the air and out into the depths of space where it would detonate sometime later either on its own or once it finally hit something like another planet.

"Not bad, Frost Demon. However something I think you would do well to remember is that giving your attack a cute name doesn't actually make it as effective as the name would imply. A ball of Ki is a ball of Ki, after all, no matter how much power is packed into it." He said with a menacing chuckle.

He then put his hands behind his back again.

"Surly that's not all you have for me." He asked.

Meanwhile, down on the ground, Era and Valkyrie were in awe. That was one of Pyro's best moves, and he caught it and threw it away like it was a toy.

"I can't-..." Valkyrie stuttered.

Era was slack jawed and her eyes betrayed her growing fear as the understanding of their situation finally sunk in.

"..."

She couldn't even speak.

Valkyrie, on the other hand, was looking rather upset.

"That smug little..." She said, looking up at Death as he chuckled to himself about Pyro's failed attempt.

Era glanced to Valkyrie, seeing the fire in her eyes, and then back up to Death. She found that, despite her fear, she too was becoming rather upset. Though they were little to nothing compared to some of the Darkhoods, Era and Valkyrie were two of the strongest warriors in the cosmos. For him to be laughing at them like this... It was humiliating.

It wasn't the first time Era felt this way, but this feeling was strong than ever before. Humiliation and anger at the way her opponent was treating her. And Valkyrie, as the one who became psychotic when she was looked down upon, was doing rather well for herself considering she hadn't jumped in yet. Was she waiting for an opportunity, or was she just as frightened?

@Deathrattle BB @ChazGhost

Pyro was surprised when Death almost simple just tossed the ki ball away. He thought for a moment before saying "I have somthing else". Then only a few second later he fired a few ki blast at the ground to put a lot of dust in the air. Then he quickly flew down near were Death was. Then he fired his black death cannon without saying its name. He fired were he thought death was facing away.

"Hows that death?" Pyro said smirking through he knew that would not be enough to take him down.

The pirates on board Pyro's ship were starting to get worried. Everyone who were watching were not sure pyro could win. But no one said it out loud and hope not saying it will make it not true. They didn't know what they if they lost Pyro or even if they'll make it out alive if he lost.

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

Death observed Pyro very closely as he made his statement about having something else in mind. Pyro blasted the ground sending dust into the air around him, and seemingly disappeared. However Death merely smiled and closed his eyes. Feeling out Pyro's energy, he kept track of him perfectly. As Pyro came around firing the Ki blast at him again, Death merely powered up letting his aura flare out to capture the Ki blast. With the winds produced from his power up, the dust flew away in all directions revealing Death floating in the air engulfed by his aura and the Black Death Cannon floating just outside it trying to push through to reach him.

"Not bad... Not bad." He said.

He then powered up some more, sending the Ki blast rocketing away into the distance.

"But you really shouldn't rely on eyesight to win. A true warrior can feel their enemy's power and keep track of them in pitch black darkness. If you rely on your eyes to fight, it's a wonder you made it this far." He boasted.

He then disappeared from view and reappeared behind Pyro slamming him with a single well placed punch to the back sending the Frost Demon flying forward through the air. It didn't cause any serious damage, but the force behind it was still incredible given that he was at Pyro's exact power level. Whatever this thing was, it was naturally stronger than Pyro's final form when their Ki was taken out of the equation. When Ki was added, it made the difference much more apparent.

Meanwhile, Era and Valkyrie were both growing increasingly agitated by this creature's behavior.

"He talks of being a true warrior and yet attacks his opponent in the back..." Valkyrie growled.

"Wretched piece of filth!" Era said angrily.

Both women were beginning to power up again and the first semblances of their auras began to appear around their bodies, though not in full. Their fists were clenched and their jaws tight. Their faces were etched with anger and frustration, and it became clearer and clearer to both of them that, despite his supposed power of 240 million, they couldn't just remain here and out of the fight. If Pyro went down, so did they. There was nothing they could do to escape this thing. Why run or hide? They may as well fight.

Era and Valkyrie then powered up in full and flew up into the sky to meet their opponent alongside Pyro.

Death only smiled.

"Well, well, well... Ladies, shouldn't you wait your respective turns? I'll deal with you all soon enough. The Frost Demon comes first."

"Be silent!"

Death was mildly surprised by the sudden retort.

"You aren't a warrior. You're just a monster!" Valkyrie yelled.

Death smiled once more, putting his arms out in an "Oh well, I tried" fashion.

"Don't say I didn't warn you, ladies." He said with a chuckle.

"Very well... Have at me." He taunted.

Era went first, powering up the Mazunokari once more and racing in at top speed looking for an opening. But Death disappeared and reappeared underneath her and flew up slamming his head into her chin and sending her flying up into the air. Valkyrie raced in trying to take the opening Era gave, but was swatted aside by the creature's tail as his back was turned.

Both women regained their composure quickly enough, this time, and flew back down to attack him together with all the power they had. But every punch was dodged. He didn't even try to block. He just dodged. Every single punch, kick, elbow, headbutt, and any other technique in the women's repertoire hit nothing but air as they relentlessly poured out their power to assault him. Death himself didn't seem to mind much though. He was more than a little amused by their struggle against him. When the powerful fought those well below their level, it seemed a thrill and a simple pleasure to humiliate them like this.

But this humiliation was having an adverse effect on both Saiyans. Their power levels, though they were pouring out all the power they had, were rising instead of falling. Death was not blind to this, but he didn't seem to care either. The angrier they got, the higher their power levels grew. It wasn't long before Valkyrie had broken a power of just over 7 million with Era being just over 15 million thanks to the Mazunokari's multiplying her power by 2x.

But even this was nothing to Death.

He continued to effortlessly dodge their attacks as he kept one eye on Pyro, giving him a mocking smile as if to say "you can't do any better than these two, and you know it."

@ChazGhost @Deathrattle BB

Pyro was knocked back by death's attack and flew back into a small muntain nearby. He then watched the saiyans join the battle and growled when they did. It was his fight not theres. But as the battle kept going he noticed death was just playing with them in a way and wasn't taking them seriously. Then final he saw death give him the look that said he was no better then those dirty monkeys.

Pyro obliviously started getting more angry after this. Then he looked behind him and smiled. He can block my ki blasts... But what about a mountain... Pyro thought before beganing to blast out chuckles of the buttom of the moutain. Then he flew into the hole and began trying to lift up the moutain. His power level went passed 45 million as pushed he limits and lifted the moutain breaking off it connection to the ground. "Die!" Pyro said before throwing the moutain with his strength and his ki at death.

"Did he just... Pick up a mountain and throw it!" the pirates on board the ship said watching the battle. They were all surpirse to see Pyro throw a moutain at Death. "This is getting serious..."

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

As Death played with Era and Valkyrie, he kept an eye on Pyro. When he saw the Frost Demon lift a mountain and throw it at him, he whistled.

"Seems your ally doesn't care much about the two of you very much." He said with a laugh.

The girls were distracted by that statement just long enough to turn and look at what he meant, and they saw the mountain flying right at them. Death, however, grabbed both of them in headlocks and held them tightly in place as the mountain drew ever closer. And as it was about to hit them, Death threw the girls forward and disappeared from view.

The mountain struck Era and Valkyrie and came down on top of them. Despite their amazing power levels, they weren't able to get control over it or stop it from falling, and they were pinned within it thanks to the force of the throw from Death. The mountain came crashing down to the ground below causing a massive blast wave of concussive force as it cracked and shattered breaking into millions of tons of debris and rubble on the ground across several miles in every direction.

Death, meanwhile, appeared behind Pyro.

"Not bad at all Frost Demon. At 40 million I'd be hard pressed to stop that given the momentum you put into it. But sadly for you my speed far outpaces that of a massive object just as that one." He said, disappearing and reappearing on top of the debris.

He brushed himself off and looked down, wondering if Era and Valkyrie were still alive.

"I don't suppose you thought that through did you? Or did you mean to kill them?" He asked sarcastically.

Their energy had disappeared for the most part. If they weren't dead, they were undoubtedly unconscious. Having a mountain dropped on you would do that, though most would have died from something like this. Saiyans, however, were a hardy bunch. Death didn't doubt that they were still alive. He had a good feeling they were. But still the fact that their energy all but disappeared wasn't a good sign for them.

"Well then, you have me all to yourself again!" He said with half a bow.

Elprede really couldn't say that he was at all surprised that... whoever that was up there was able to deflect Pyro's attack so easily. He really hoped that the Frost Demon was not stupid enough to try and take on an enemy so much stronger than him. Even if he wasn't surprised, he couldn't help but fear what was going to come next to all of them when 'Death' disposed of the frost demon. They would probably be next and he wasn't strong enough yet to even consider trying to battle an opponent like this, neither were Valkyrie and Era.

"This is suicide." He muttered, looking up at the sky passively. "We're not strong enough to beat him."

However, when Pyro picked up a mountain and threw it at Death, he couldn't believe it. Mostly because of how stupid the Frost Demon was. What the hell was he thinking to put Era and Valkyrie in danger like that? There wasn't anything he could do except move out of the way of the concussive blast that formed from the impact. He appeared beside Death for a moment, inspecting the damage.

He felt out Era's Ki, they probably landed somewhere in there together. Because of the Spirit Link, it was not difficult. She felt weak, though, which was extremely worrying for him. He glanced at Death. "Break the moron's arms for me, will you? I don't want him chucking anymore mountains ." He hissed.

After that, he went in search of Era and Valkyrie in the destruction, eventually having to break through many layers of rocks to reach them underneath it all. He felt for pulses which told him that they were at least still alive, but probably not by much right now. He could only safely transfer his Ki to Era without harming her, the Link made that possible. The Link made it so their Ki could act as if it were their body's own natural product, however, did not mean that they could survive on that alone. The natural differences between their Ki would still adhere to the need of your body's own natural Ki. He fed some to her and then turned to Valkyrie, wondering just what he was going to do. He would have to drag her out of the battle to the ship probably, unless the damn thing was out in space.

At least he had plenty to go around.

Did you repair your communications yet, Jasmine? He asked tiredly.

"No, sir. I haven't had the time."

Damnit.

He glanced back up at Pyro and gave him the middle finger as a final gesture of how much the Frost Demon fucked up.

He was grasping for air for second. Then he noticed that the moutain missed death and hit Era and Valkeiry instead. Pyro then held his nose and sighed. Then Death told him how impressive throwing the moutain was but it was backhanded complement when he added the part about him not thinking through.

"I'll amit, I did not think it through but I'm sure they'll live...' Pyro paused to see Elprede flip him off. "...Yeah I'm sure they'll live. It was just a mountain... Kai d*** it" Pyro finished with a sigh. Then Death gave his half bow and Pyro gave a small sigh. "I don't them anyway to kill you or the rest of the darkhoods!" Pyro said before charging at Death. He was trying to make it look like he was just going to throw a punch but he was planing to switch up and slam Death into the grouns with his tail.

"So is the ship fast enough to get away if he starts beating Pyro..." Pirate asked a engineer on the ship.

"Well there ships are fast but if things go south and we leave fast enough we could escape..." The engineer said.

"We ain't leaving Pyro no matter what, got that morons! He's our captain and the captain die with the ship not the ship abandoning the captain! We either live together or DIE together!" Jaws yelled standing up onto a table faceing a majority of the crew in the mess hall. It was followed by silent for a momment as the crew thought about those words...

Death was watching Pyro when Elprede appeared and said to break Pyro's arms to stop him from throwing any more mountains. He laughed out loud upon hearing this request from one of Pyro's own allies. Even if he'd royally screwed up, it was hilarious to hear his ally saying such a thing.

"I'll be happy to in my own sweet time." He replied before Elprede went down to search for Valkyrie and Era.

Thanks to the Spirit Link, Era returned to consciousness shortly before she searched out Valkyrie's energy. It was faint, but it was there and it wasn't far away. Era's power slowly began building until it was roughly 300K, a far cry from her original power, but it was more than enough for her to power up and blow away a good chunk of the rubble covering her and Valkyrie. With the debris flying away and falling off to the side, she found Valkyrie and pulled her unconscious form free of the rubble. She then flew Valkyrie off to the side in a relatively safe spot, setting her down on her stomach before turning back to see what was going on.

But before she could really take in what was happening, Death had disengaged Pyro and came down to strike Era which sent her sprawling across the ground bouncing like a ping pong ball across the landscape for several hundred meters before she skidded to a halt face down in a small grassy patch of soil not far away from the main battle.

With Era back down for the count and her energy back down to minuscule levels from the kick, Death returned his attention to Pyro who continued his forward assault.

But Death had already had enough playing around. At least at this level. He powered up to 100 million and let Pyro's attack land. It did nothing. Not a flinch. Not a wince. Nothing. He stood there on the ground and took the attack full force.

"So, Frost Demon. I'm curious about something..." He said, grabbing Pyro's tail and pulling him in close before putting him in a one-handed choke hold.

"Do you fear death?" He asked.

@ChazGhost @Deathrattle BB (Please leave Era and Valkyrie where they are. Sank ya.)

Pyro look surpised and devastated when he attack did nothing to death. Then before he could do anything else he went into a head lock. Then thats when Death asked Pyro the question, do you fear death. "I don't Death, be it you or the real thing!" Pyro said as loud aas he could in a choke hold. It was true in a way.  He wasn't afraid of dieing himself but he was afraid about his crew dieing.

Pyro was struggling to get out of the head lock, trying to pull deaths arm off him and trying elbow him in a stomach. As those didn't work he did the last thing he could think of. He open his mouth wide and bit down hard on deaths arm.

After the silence the crew decided to stick it out, even if it killed them. "So what should we do now?" one pirate asked.

"We could fire the ships guns at that darkhood." another suggested

"And then he'll just block them and come kill us" The first one said.

"How about raming the ship into him?" the second one said.

"We'd destroy the ship or at the very least heavliy damge it. And then we're stuck here." First one said with a sigh.

@ChoShadow @Deathrattle BB

Death smiled when Pyro said he didn't fear the concept of death, nor Death himself. But when Pyro bit him in the arm, he looked at his arm and rolled his eyes.

"Really? Biting now?" He asked, suddenly pushing pyro away and blasting him in the back with a massive ball of Ki.

"I thought someone with power like yours was more inventive than biting." He said, brushing his arm off of the saliva Pyro left behind.

He then floated into the air a little ways and looked over to Elprede.

"Not going to contribute, fragment of the First God?" He called down.

He could sense Elprede's exhaustion, but he wanted to make sure that Elprede too was taking in the situation that they all found themselves in. Death was unstoppable, and he wanted them to know it absolutely before he killed them. Taunting them this way was entertaining to him, and he mused over who he should strike down first.

By the time he made up his mind, he was smiling again.

"All right then, I think it's time we stopped playing games. As fun as this is, I am under orders from my superiors to bring an end to this farce that is the First God." He said, looking to Elprede.

"Your speed is legendary, even among my kind. And while I cannot catch up to you, there's something I have for you which you cannot outrun: The death of your comrades." He proclaimed.

He slowly floated down to the ground.

"The only question now is this: whether to kill them all at once by annihilating the planet, or to kill them one at a time while you watch in your weakened state. Would you prefer one over the other?" He asked.

Elprede moved to act when he saw Era had been knocked out once more but decided that... there wasn't anything he could do. He certainly wasn't going to try and rouse the poor girl once more only for her to be instantly pounded into the dirt again. He simply floated over to her and gently turned her over, inspecting her for any serious damage. Of course, there would be. How could there not be? It was more of a way to calm down the building rage in himself by tending to her.

He paused when he heard the one who called himself 'Death' speak to him again. He let out a quiet sigh and stood up, fumbling with his ear for a moment.

"Sir, wait--!" Jasmine protested quickly... before being turned off.

He walked towards Death, his hands tightening into fists. "How about this instead, Death? You leave them alive, you can take me and do whatever it is that pleases you. Torture me, enslave me, kill me, whatever. I won't run nor will I attempt escape." He glanced up at the being, his features clearly tightened in restrained rage. "Just leave them out of it if it's just me you want."

Death stared Elprede down as he went over to Era to inspect her fallen form, and his smile widened as he saw him check her.

So he cares for that one, does he? He thought.

As Elprede stood up, Death kept his eyes on the Nephelem. The more Elprede spoke, the more entertained he became.

"What fun would that be?" He asked when Elprede was finished speaking.

"It is very noble of you to try and save them like this, but I am not here to simply capture you. Neither am I here to let those two Saiyans live, as they've proven time and again to be a serious threat to our organization if left alone to continue growing in power as they have been the last several months since our first encounter." He said.

He then glanced to Pyro, checking to make sure he was behaving himself, before returning his gaze to Elprede.

"You are to be eliminated, make no mistake about that. But before I do I want you to suffer in a way only mortals can." He said, his lips parting to reveal his teeth as he continued to smile.

"Gods exist in a realm beyond mortals, but as mere fragment of the First God's existence you are as mortal as any. And I know you feel just as any mortal does about those few who become closer than mere acquaintances."

His eyes slid over to Era, though he kept his focus on Elprede.

"I saw you check that one... May I presume the two of you share a closer bond than just being allies? Friends, perhaps? Or something more?" He asked.

His eyes slid back to Elprede.

"How about we start with her?" He asked, his power beginning to rise as a mild wind began billowing out from his body.

He pointed his left arm towards Era and began to charge a ball of Ki at the end of it.

"Oh, and before I forget..." He said, the ball of Ki growing slightly larger.

"I wondered why my superiors sent me to deal with you until I noticed during your four day fight with my army that you prefer nerve attacks. Then I understood why I was sent here." He said, the ball growing slightly larger, now about the size of a 4x4 truck on Earth.

"My kind have evolved without a central nervous system, contrary to most humanoids. Instead our bodies rely on another system of sending messages from the brain to the body. It's all quite complicated, and you don't need to hear the details. Just know that your nerve attacks and strikes to Ki pathways will not work on me." He said, the ball of Ki growing to the size of small house.

Then, as he smiled down at Elprede, the Ki ball disappeared in his hand as quickly as it had been formed.

"I think that attack would have been a bit excessive, don't you?" He asked with a laugh as his power level continued to rise, now breaching around 150 million simply because he could and to further rub salt in the wound that their powers were horrifically outclassed.

Elprede crossed his arms over his chest, his face remaining passive. He would not show anything to Death, Era's life could very well stake on him showing that he had no emotional attachment to her. He wasn't sure he really did, either... he wasn't sure whether to place Era as an acquaintance or a friend still.

He didn't make any attempt to stand in the way of the Ki ball.

"I suppose you could start with her but then she would miss the chance in killing you," Elprede said. He had felt the massive increase in power from Era a few days ago... whatever that was. It might be their saving grace at the moment if she could call upon it again.

No matter what else, at least he could live to continue this fight if everybody else was killed, right? No matter how much this creature powered up, he couldn't catch Elprede even if he wanted to.

He thought back to something Era had said before... BEKD attacks? Would it even be possible for him or others to do such a thing? Could he even attempt it? If he messed up, it could fry Jasmine... if he succeeded, maybe he could buy them a little more time from Death.

"I think most of this is pretty excessive. They had to send you to kill me, just to try and make sure I was dead or something? Kind of pathetic, isn't it?" He mocked, looking down and kicking up dust from the dirt, obviously bored. "I don't know, I'm more interested in whether you and your band of idiots are smart enough to figure the situation out right now."

He shrugged. "If not... come on, hit me and see what happens." He taunted.

((Well gentlemen... Prepare yourselves for what is arguably my best work, and please welcome to the stage at last the mighty Super Saiyan!!))

Death smiled at Pyro.

"I don't think that's necessary." He said, glancing to Era.

"Besides..." He said as he turned to face her.

"Your friend is awake." He said menacingly as he smiled at her.

...

It was Era’s worst nightmare come to life.

For many months now whilst traveling alongside Elprede, Pyro, and the others, she had worried that their newfound powers would still not be enough to overpower the Darkhoods. Given all they’d seen and experienced, and the constant fact that all save Pyro were grossly outmatched until now, it wasn’t hard for her to comprehend what was happening, but it still wasn’t easy to take it all in.

Now her worst fears had been realized. A Captain who called himself “Death,” with power unlike any they’d ever encountered before, had revealed himself and was soundly defeating them all.

Even Pyro, who’s maximum power at 100% in his Final Form was roughly 40 million, was being brushed aside with absolute ease. Elprede, who’s speed had served as something of a trump card until now, was so exhausted from fighting for four days straight that he couldn’t even really participate. Not that he’d be of much help though due to the difference in power. But it was as if Death was specifically evolved to take advantage of every and any weakness present within all of them at once.

Era lay where she last fell on the battlefield amongst a field of grass which had thus far survived the carnage of their battle. The soft green blades beneath her body were comforting in a strange sort of way. They reminded her of home. The soft grass of Metahnn beneath her bare feet on a warm summer’s morning as the smell of moisture in the air from its wonderfully mild climate…

She missed it.

She missed home so much.

Memories of her time up until now flew through her mind… Her upbringing and training. The people she met both at home and throughout the galaxy. Meeting Valkyrie. Meeting Elprede. Meeting Pyro, despite being his enemy at first. Everything about the current situation seemed almost surreal in the face of these mostly happy memories. Filled as they were with conflict and pain, the good times outweighed the bad and ultimately Era was proud of all that she’d accomplished until this point in her life.

In the back of her mind she could almost hear Valkyrie’s thoughts. Thoughts of indignance. Thoughts of anger and humiliation. Thinking about how to rise again and find a way to beat this monstrosity made flesh.

Era’s eyes slowly opened and the first thing she saw was a single bead of dew on the blade of grass nearest her face. The dew drop caused the blade to droop lazily downward before it fell to the ground and the blade flicked back to life. There was something oddly poetic about that moment. That single moment where a humble blade of grass could be so overcome by the weight of mere moisture in the air, yet endure until it was set free of its plight and rise again to face the world’s challenges.

If a humble blade of grass could do that, so could she.

Era forced herself to her feet against her exhaustion and coughed against the pain in her chest. A few drops of blood trickled down the corners of her mouth and the front of her lips as she did so, and as she looked up at their enemy she bared her teeth and took her fighting stance.

Death floated there in the sky completely unmoved by her gesture. In fact he crossed its arms as if to say he didn’t need them and glared down at Era with an evil smile, silently mocking her.

In her mind Era cursed this creature and its power. She usually wasn’t one to do that, but this time was different. Death had no honor or respect as a warrior. His method of attacking them was proof of that. Most of his attacks came from the back or from beneath their field of view. There was no sense of honor or respect in such tactics. In essence he refused to challenge them face to face in most instances, and the few times he did challenge them face to face he grinned them down and mocked them.

Era hated him. She hated him more than anything else she’d ever encountered in her life.

Her friends and comrades. The people across the universe whom they fought to protect. All of them would die if she couldn’t summon the power to defeat this thing. She had to win. She had to. There were no excuses. She had to win.

“Everyone,” she whispered.

“I cannot promise I will make it out of this alive. I cannot promise any of us will… But I can promise you that I will never give up… I will not fail. And if I fall, I will not fall in vain. I believe with all my soul that, even if I fall, you will find a way to beat him.” She said quietly as a single tear ran down her face from her left eye.

She looked over to Valkyrie who was just now regaining consciousness. The Saiyan’s eyes met, and there was a silent moment of understanding between the two as Valkyrie’s jaw clenched and her eyes began to fill with moisture.

“Valkyrie, my dear friend. Please… Please survive. I know you despise my being a Low Class prodigy, but all the same I love you with all my heart… Farewell, sister.” She whispered as another tear fell from her right eye.

Valkyrie couldn’t hear her. None of them could from this distance. She knew that. But she felt it obligatory to say it anyway.

One way or the other, Era knew that this would be her last attack.

"Aww. Isn't that sweet?" Death asked aloud.

Era then summoned what remained of her power. As she powered up, if you could call it that, her red aura flared weakly about her like a dying candle flame.

Era then launched herself at their enemy flying as fast as she was able and lashed out with her right fist. The blow landed but did nothing. Death didn’t so much as flinch. His head didn’t even budge when her fist struck it. All he did was blink and crack a smile at her.

Era growled at the monster before her and continued pressing her attack in vain. Her attacks did nothing. They were like flies trying to strike down an elephant. However many she managed to land, not a single one so much as caused even the smallest of dents in his flesh. In fact it didn’t seem she was truly hitting him at all. It was as if her fists were stopping short by mere nanometers due to his Ki pushing her back and preventing her from making any real contact.

After a minute or two of this, Death began to tire of her efforts and swiftly struck her in the stomach just below the ribcage. She felt the lowest two ribs on each side crack under the weight of the attack and her stomach felt like it would release its content everywhere at any second. But before it could manage she was thrown back through the air and then back into the ground at tremendous speed. When she hit the ground a tower of dust and debris shot forth into the air heralding her defeat.

Death then flew down into the dust, and shortly after a tremor was felt through the ground across the whole planet. A moment later a burst of wind blew through the air pushing away the dust and clearing the battle space for all to see. The creature was standing atop of Era’s now barely conscious form, one foot on the side of her head and the other on her lower back just above her tail.

He looked to the others and smiled as he then floated up a few feet before pointing one open hand down towards Era. A moment later he began releasing a barrage of Ki blasts into her back. Blast after blast appeared from his hand and disappeared in a small explosion as it struck Era’s body.

Valkyrie watched with tears of anger, humiliation, and sorrow streaming down her face. Her mouth was clenched tight as she watched her best friend being killed. Every blast took more of Era’s precious few remaining points of energy away until she had practically none left at all.

Finally Death’s attacks ceased and he floated up and away from her now smoking body and landed quietly on the ground a short distance away. Valkyrie thought it was over, but it was not done yet. Death lifted his left hand and flicked his index finger towards the sky, and the ground behind him where Era was laying exploded in a blinding flash of violet light.

Valkyrie shielded her eyes against the flash, and as it died away she looked back just in time to see Era’s body flying up into the air before proceeding to fall gracelessly back to the ground below with a solid thud.

Valkyrie watched helplessly as she sensed Era’s last vestiges of energy slowly fading away. Era’s eyes were wide and filled with indescribable pain coupled with sadness as she looked to Valkyrie and the others. Tears were streaming down her face like miniature raging rivers partly from how much pain she was in, and partly because of how she felt inside. And the expression she wore told the story.

I’m sorry… I failed you all.

Era said nothing, but it was plain as day that she felt she had failed. Despite her silent promise to the others to do her best and that she would not fail or fall in vain, she had failed.

However to both Valkyrie’s amazement and dismay, Era then smiled. She was dying, there was no mistaking that. Yet she smiled.

Her eyes began to slowly close and the fear, pain, and shame of failure were replaced by pure love and compassion as she gazed at Valkyrie. Era slowly reached out with right her arm towards her sister, but before her arm could reach full extension it suddenly dropped to the ground. The smile slowly vanished as her muscles relaxed and the light in her eyes faded, transformed into a glossy haze. Her pupils dilated and grayed out, and Valkyrie could all but feel the final breath of air escaping from Era’s lips as her body entered a state of complete and total relaxation.

A small breeze swept across the battlefield. Not a sound was heard anywhere. No animals. No insects. Nothing. Just the sound of the wind gently blowing across the landscape.

Valkyrie stared at Era’s body with fresh tears of sadness welling within her eyes.

“… Era?” She whispered.

No response.

Era’s face was frozen in time. Her eyes were soft. Her lips slightly parted. Fresh blood trickled down from the corner of her mouth to the ground below. And her hand was still open and her arm partially outstretched where it fell, reaching for her beloved sister.

Valkyrie could not break her gaze. Era’s eyes were devoid of life, but still they were staring right back at her. Subconsciously Valkyrie began to dig her fingers into the ground beneath her as the reality that Era was dead finally began to sink in.

“No…” She whimpered.

At last her tears fell. They fell like rivers down her cheeks and across her lips putting a salty taste in her mouth. But she didn’t care. Her brain was numb to the world save the thought that Era was now gone forever.

“All we’ve lived through… All we’ve accomplished,”
she gasped.

“It can’t end this way,” she sobbed angrily while smashing the ground with her fist.

A single spark of bio-electricity shot forth from her back, but she didn’t even notice that it had happened.

Death, however, could sense it. His eyes darted to Valkyrie, but the momentary spark of life he felt from her faded just as quickly as it came. He disregarded her and looked back towards the others with that same evil smile he had given Era.

Valkyrie’s fingers dug deeper into the soil and she pulled up a handful of it in her right fist.

“We’ve come so far… We’ve fought so hard.” She whimpered.

“We trained. We bled. We argued. We cried. We laughed… But always we shared everything, together.” She growled through clenched teeth.

She looked down at her fist, and then back up to Era’s lifeless eyes.

“I won’t let it end this way.” She growled again.

The faintest vibration in the ground began to emanate from beneath Valkyrie’s body, heralded by what was at first a gentle breeze billowing out from her position. It was subtle, but noticeable. All the grass around her waved outwards and away from her in a perfect circle. Farther and father into the distance this breeze began to blow, and the air began to grow just a degree or two warmer.

“We’ve given too much to die like this… In disgrace and agony!” She said, now speaking with her mouth open instead of through clenched teeth as she continued to gaze into Era’s lifeless eyes.

“… You gave too much to die like this.” She said as her features were again overcome by sorrow and regret.

Valkyrie failed to notice that she had since made it to her feet, and Death was none too pleased to see this as he turned to face her. But before he could do anything there was a massive upsurge of energy coming from somewhere. The sky immediately began to darken and massive discharges of energy resembling golden lightning began to streak across the planet’s open skies. He watched this in awe and confusion wondering what in the world was happening and where this sudden surge of power was coming from.

Could she, in her condition, be doing this? Surely not. Right?

Valkyrie’s fingers dug into her palms until they started bleeding. All that blood, as well as the blood dripping from the corners of her mouth and the small open wounds across her body began evaporating against the heat her body was now letting off as her power continued to slowly rise with both the tremors in the ground and the wind produced from her body increasing in intensity.

“It can’t end this way…” She growled.

The rumbling in the ground intensified.

“I WON’T LET IT END THIS WAY!!!” Valkyrie shrieked.

Valkyrie’s red aura suddenly erupted to life like a towering inferno nearly 100m in both height and circumference. As well there were dozens upon dozens of stray flares of energy shooting out and away from the main body of her aura. There was no control over it. No sense of purpose or direction. It was just wildly flaring energy beyond Valkyrie’s control or even her conscious attention. She had no idea what she was doing or what was happening around her anymore. The only coherent thought in Valkyrie’s mind now was that her best friend was dead and there had been nothing she could do to stop it from happening.

The ground beneath Valkyrie rapidly eroded away under the pressure from her now rapidly ascending power level and the planet’s atmosphere and wind currents were thrown into pandemonium. The winds came from the left. From the right. From above and below. Each time they raced across the land with greater and greater force as if hundreds of colliding hurricanes were suddenly unleashed on the world. At their source was Valkyrie who’s eyes had turned completely white with her energy arcing and flaring about and around her.

The entire planet was trembling now. Mountains began cracking. The waters of the oceans splashed and churned. The grasses waved violently and were threatened with being uprooted by the force of the winds now billowing out with ever greater force as Valkyrie shrieked towards the skies in rage.

With every flash of electrical energy arcing through the world Valkyrie’s hair and tail flashed with golden light. The flashes were at first momentary. Blink and you’d miss it. In fact they seemed at first like they were little more than reflections since the electrical flashes of energy were also made of golden light as opposed to white light like natural lightning.

However…

With each passing second it became clear that those flashes of golden colors were not reflections. Even when those arcing flashes of energy weren’t present her hair was flashing and changing colors. And against all odds her body was holding itself together through all of this.

It was well known that Saiyan biology wasn’t evolved yet to handle rapid influxes of Ki of this magnitude. But for some reason Valkyrie’s body was holding itself together just fine. Her power had already nearly quadrupled from its natural max power level of just over 4.5 million. A far cry from Pyro or this creature as of yet, but still it was a major influx of Ki which her body shouldn’t have been able to handle without showing signs of degradation and rejection. But it was handling it just fine. In fact… her body too was changing.

With each flash of golden light, her musculature momentarily increased in size by a few fractions of an inch before returning to normal. These momentary bulges in her musculature helped to prove further that the color change was not a reflection of light or some kind of accident. These brief increases of muscle mass and hair color were accompanied by Valkyrie’s shrieks of both anger and pain.

Through all of this her tears, which were evaporating rapidly off her face as they fell, were still visible for those few brief instants before the heat overcame them.

But it didn’t matter anymore. Valkyrie was transforming. Into what? Elprede and Pyro would likely have a guess, given all they’d heard about the Super Saiyan legends. But she was transforming all the same whether it had anything to do with the legends or not.

“How dare you…” She growled.

Valkyrie’s fists were clenched at her sides, and Death was mystified by this turn of events. In fact he was so spellbound he was speechless.

“You took my best friend-… No.” Valkyrie said, cutting herself off at the end and turning her gaze on Death.

“You took my sister, away from me.” She screamed.

Death took a step back, his mouth agape and another several sparks of bioelectricity escaped from Valkyrie's body.

“YOU WILL PAY FOR MY SISTER’S DEATH, YOU MONSTER!!!” She shrieked at the top of her lungs.

With that shriek... Everything changed.

Her raging red aura began to rapidly condense tightly to her body before turning solid white. Now where Valkyrie stood was a single solid mass of white humanoid energy. Valkyrie could no longer be seen, but her power level could still be felt ascending rapidly and seemingly without end.

Finally that white veil of energy quite literally exploded outwards in trillions of particles of energy into the air around her. What was once a flaming red inferno of power was now a shimmering and aggressively flowing aura of golden light. Her hair had turned gold along with it and this time it was not changing back to its original coloration.

That golden glow was there to stay.

The energy of her aura grew larger and more wild than ever before, and her power level began to rapidly ascend to levels previously unimaginable. The sudden increase eclipsed Pyro’s maximum power instantly, and with each major discharge of bio-electricity which escaped from her body Valkyrie let loose a blood curdling shriek of agony. It was as if her body was being torn apart under the sheer magnitude of her ever building power. What was worse was that the volume of each of her shrieks was amplified by her Ki and carried over the deafening sounds of the hurricane force winds and massive discharges of bioelectricity. Her cries of sorrow, rage, and pain could be heard for miles in every direction which forced Death to cover his ears against the wailing cries which she was letting loose.

The ground beneath her flaring energy began to break apart and levitate in massive chunks before being shredded into millions of smaller fragments once struck by her aura which then floated up ever higher into the air before disappearing altogether.

The entire planet quaked and shuddered. The waters of the seas were raging and torrential. And even the atmosphere itself seemed to be expanding outwards which had a brief effect on the quality of the air and even the gravity on an extremely minute level was affected.

All around her the winds collided creating tornadoes which struck the ground with great force throwing tons upon tons of debris out across the world. With each passing second the arcing electrical discharges of energy increased in intensity and proximity to Valkyrie until at last they all seemed to come down in a single unified strike into her body. That single strike generated an explosion of light so brilliant that it was like a new sun being born right there on the surface of the world.

The heat was intense. The light blinding. All sound was sucked from the atmosphere as if all of them had suddenly gone deaf. But the ringing in their ears told another story. The thunderclap had momentarily stunned their sense of hearing like that of a stun grenade. They could hear still, but it would take a few moments before it came back in full without any ringing in their ears.

After the explosion of light, the world went quiet. All the winds had ceased. The waters calmed, and the planet itself was breathing a sigh of relief as all of the light and chaotic energy slowly faded from existence.

By the time the world was as it had been before, where Valkyrie floated was now a massive cloud of dust. But through the haze the sound of her now controlled and gently flowing aura could be heard.

And so it was that a sudden small gust of wind shot through the area revealing the final transformation in full.

Valkyrie was floating quietly in the sky. Her body was relaxed and in a perfectly erect posture. Her golden tail twitched and whipped about behind her. Her hair, now a gleaming golden hue, waved down and behind her in sharp and well defined spikes save for a single thin bang which hung just over her left eye. Her musculature had slightly increased in size and definition, and her eyes were a similar story. Her eyebrows had turned golden as well, and her irises were now a sparkling turquoise coloration. And her body’s physical condition, though it was still littered with small cuts and bruises, seemed to have repaired itself of any and all damages beyond the surface level.

If looks could kill, she’d have killed Death a thousand times over with the murderous glare which she was now sending his way.

Valkyrie was reborn… But would even this amazing new power be enough to stop him?

((I'm not even gonna try to match up to that post, lol. Probably will write a novel like you did when Zaero is destroyed.))

He noticed she was awake when he allowed the channel for their Link to open, absorbing the sudden influx of agony she was feeling into himself at the moment. He stood there, petrified, waves of pain coursing through his body like lava while he maintained his posture, albeit much more tensed than before. He felt everything she did at the moment, and he considered that perhaps he had made the connection too strong at the moment. Impossibly not, right? He wondered if she was feeling this two-fold because of him now as well.

"Well..." he started quietly.

He knew from the start of this fight that it was going to be a losing one, uphill from the very start. That sort of prediction coming true before his very eyes... it was something that he had never hoped to see, nevertheless feel. The utter sense of heavy defeat that hung over his mind at the moment was both horrifying and terrifying, it stopped all other thought processes. All except one that really mattered, that being the overwhelming sense of guilt that truly plagued him mentally and emotionally at the moment.

He had done this to them. He had gotten captured by the Darkhoods, they had done something to him, and they had come looking for him. He could already guess that it was because of the Spirit Link that they had found him in the first place. He should have dissolved it as soon as he knew that Era was going to be okay without him holding her Ki pathways together anymore. He had led them here for them to all die when it should have just been him. He could come back one day, their lives were much more at stake than his were.

He cringed repeatedly when Era was beaten, but the worst feeling was that he couldn't do anything to stop it. He was one of the few left standing up still, yet he was left there, paralyzed, unable to even act because of the massive amount of pain he felt in himself. The sheer force of the mental breakdown he was having at the moment of he being the reason they were dying here at the moment. It hung in his stomach, twisting knots and knots until he felt like he was going to puke.

When she fell from the sky, nearly dead, a chill spread throughout himself and he felt like all energy had completely left him. If a dead man could feel what he felt now, it was if he himself was a corpse, a man who had just died. He collapsed on the spot, overcome by the numbness that left him blank. For all intents and purposes by others who wanted to take his life, he had just died at that moment.

However, he pushed himself up to his knees and looked at Era, furrowing his brows and holding his palm out to her. He all the energy he could spare to her.

"Live," he urged through a whisper under his breath. "Just... live..."

Whether or not it would even be enough to save her at this point, whether he was killing himself in vain... who knew? He most certainly did not, he was just determined to give her anything he could to sustain herself. If he died her and now on this battlefield, who would even care at the moment besides gleeful Darkhoods and perhaps disappointment by Pyro and Valkyrie? He could just reincarnate as a different person, maybe come back stronger than before. In enough years of time, he too could rejoin this fight. That was assuming he was going to die.

He just had to hope this was going to be enough to sustain her life until she was moved to a medical facility. He hoped that maybe, possibly, Pyro had enough sense about himself to just move her himself. There was no way he was going to be able to, and the Frost Demon wouldn't be able to participate in the battle that he thought was about to happen.

After giving her any last vestiges of his own energy, he truly collapsed into the dirt, utterly spent and his own body truly becoming numb. He had given almost literally everything he could spare to her and left himself as just a shell. He could just barely summon enough strength to barely turn his head and look at Valkyrie with her newfound power. That had to be enough to beat Death now, it had to be. He didn't have the will nor power to try and sense it.

Kill him. He thought, falling unconscious, finally.

Kill the false Death.

After getting pushed and blasted away by Death Pyro hit the ground hard. He got up slowly not because he couldn't do it faster, He has taken far less damge in this fight then everyone else and could take more damage as well, but he slowled down to think over his options. He could fly back to the ship or blow the planet and maybe escape in the confusion, or just die fighting.

Then he watched Era get up and start trying to fight death with all she had left. He sighed as she failed to do anything but it did make him shake off the idea of just running. He respect Era as she fought to her very before death had enough and began blasting her. "You wern't my least favorite monkey in the end..." Pyro said as he watched Era die. Then he started trying figure out how he wanted to fight to his last in the end. But then Valkyrie got up and started getting more powerful.

Pyro couldn't belive what he was seeing, he knew the legends and that Era and Val could become it but he never really thought it was true. But as Val's power increased and her hair turned yellow he had execept it. He then smirked. "Finally a goal to beat." Pyro said to himself smiling before getting up fully. He then flew quickly to pick up Elprede and Era's body. Then he looked at Val and yelled "Have fun killing Death dirty... I mean Valkyrie". He quickly then flew off to his ship.

Once on board Elprede was taken to the infirmary for minor fixs before droping him into the healing pod. Then they started doing what little they could for Era to try to bring her back... Either way Pyro, once he was done dropping off the two, wasn't planning to relax yet. There maybe a chance they havn't spread the word of the sayains being alive and the fox still being still with Pyro. Or even if they did it was still going to fun to destroy the darkhood's ship inside and out as the epic battle between Death and Val happened.
