You don't have any cybernetics. so to have made the trip from the forest, to the lab while carrying Raven. Then locking her up and talking to Elya. Raven's eyes rolled open, the hospital like smell filled her nostrils and fear rolled through her along with grief. "I...was outside." She looked around frantically. Raven hadn't been upset or afraid in a long time. She tried to move, but her limbs were heavy and caused her to slump slightly.

Nicholas sighs and walks back to base "I need a break, I'll go see if little birdy is awake" he walks into the base once more and enters the prison area, he pulls up a chair and sits in front of Raven "good morning sunshine"

Alex is shaken by Myles's words. "Hrmm." He sighs. " Look let's just head back to the warehouse. We need to find Jake. Chances are he went back there." Turning to Marissa. "When I was at my limit. I listened to you." He gets a little angry at her. "You were a researcher at one of the most advanced institutes of the world. You know exactly what the symptoms are. Don't you DARE tell me you are fine." He notices her pout. "Hrmm. Sorry."

She was a little startled at his words, but she hung her head knowing he was right. "Okay... fine. I just didn't want to stop our progress. I wanted you to be safe... in Markaerel..." she pouted, then took a breath. "Let's get on our way then."

Nicholas shrugs "I'm afraid I can't do that" he begins writing on a piece of paper and reads out loud "subject demonstrates inability to cooperate and when set free by a double agent working for supes resorted to violence, knocking out multiple guards. Field test shows she has control of ice, speaking an unknown language she can freeze water within the air to form ice, she froze my sword to my hand. As well as ice powers she has a pair of Raven wings and strange markings all over her body." He puts the report in an envelope and sends a guard to give it to Elya. He then turns to Raven "can I get you something to eat? Maybe a drink too?"

Jake heard others entering the building and finished up finding things. He went back to the main room and looked at them. "So," he said, very monotone, "More things have escalated huh? This is what happens when you get tied up."

The group continues reaching the warehouse. They walk in seeing Jake rummaging for supplies. "Hmm. Jake. Put a shirt on!


Alex grabs a medkit from the table. Being military grade it contains antibiotics. "He sits down. Let me help you with this."


He motions to Marissa. " He notices a scrap of paper on the floor." He reads it aloud.

Marissa sat down and held out her arm, gritting her teeth. It was burning, and despite being trained to handle pain, she couldn't help but sniffle. "I am seriously hating my mom right now.

Raven shook her head, "get-out." She said again pulling her legs in as tightly as she could, she just wanted to go home, "my real mama's probably alive somewhere..." Raven mumbled to her self more than him, tears that she hadn't cried for years making her pants damp, "I wish she hadn't saved me, the best way to save me would've been to..." She stopped thinking allowed and just went quiet again.

Nicholas sighs as he lights a cigarette. He leans forward "you need to eat and drink." He blows a puff of smoke above him and then stands up "so the guy who let you go...did you know he was a double agent?"

Nicholas stands up suddenly "you think I'm free? I mean physically yes I can walk wherever I want and so on but that's nothing. Mentally I'm imprisoned. My mind goes back to when the love of my life was killed. It doesn't move on. I could be solving a case and just like that it drops everything and goes back to that moment. It haunts my nightmares. I gave up sleep three days ago and my daydreams are plagued by it too. I'd trade my freedom just to move on from it" he throws the chair at the wall and stares her in the eyes

She shook her head quietly, "I do sympathise you." She said quietly, "but I have watched so many people...die in front of me, because of me that...death has become just something that happens in this world." Raven's eyes hard turned cold and stone like despite the fact that watered at the edges, "you saw one person die." She watched him, "and you hold onto that haterid, that is why you're imprisoned." She looked away, "I agree that she shouldn't have died. Then you'd be happy," she closed her eyes briefly,"but she has, you have to accept that. Just like I have to accept that everyone I keep close has and will die, and I will have to make peace that my final resting place is inside concrete walls that they all died to save me from."
