lol it's easy to miss it because it's not well explained in the show but in the book of dragons and on the website it goes into detail on how the Nightmares are very snake-like and temperamental. They also have weak jaw opening muscles a lot like an alligator. Strong bite but weak opening muscles. They also shed and that's dangerous and their horns are actually key to their submission. Fascinating creatures, really.

I might have an idea how to get everyone seperated. Ragnar and Rose leave first after breakfast, but they don't come back for half a day. So Gabriella and Victoria can look after the hall while the others, Serenity, Yuki and Alva try to find then, but the hall gets attacked one of them flees the hall getting lost herself, meanwhile a dragon attack could get the other three to split up because a dragon can only chase one person.

Could be a dragon gets in the way of them getting back, or they find something that's interesting enough to keep their attention.
