Yeah, Lydia sounds smart. And the hiccup, Hisaya researching immortality for his dead family, but then I think it was the sea king or Mizutsune who talked about his son and about a bottled boat present and then yeah the mention of going home to his family.

And that aside... the way he is talking right now? What he is talking about he was doing when he was teleported doesn't really sound like he was looking for immortality for his family. So maybe he is even conscious of the idea that they might not actually be dead, but he doesn't know for sure.

You know... on the subject of hiccups... I think that as we go, we are developing the characters and the world and the story so things are going to change. It's like writing a draft. Nothing is set in stone and if it feels right, it is. xD like... when I first started playing and they were back at the inn and Seth was working on decoding the thing Sen left for him, Lydia didn't have brothers. I just didn't picture her having brothers at that point because I didn't know who she was (even though she is an old character, this is a different incarnation of her) and later on in the story, it felt like she did have brothers because I could see the memories.
