"Thank you, Aunt Mel." said Johnny, side shuffling with Echo to hug her too. As they walked, his head turned this way and that as he took in all the changes in Dawnsfield, remarking about how the town got back on its feet after the war.

There was a certain bakery that had hazelnut galettes, and Johnny excitedly pointed it out nostalgically, before excusing himself for a while to buy some. Now in Echo's home, he greeted her cousins enthusiastically before setting down his pack and putting the galettes in the kitchen and a rucksack of gifts he brought back from his travels, most of which were honey-preserved cakes, pickled meats, and a couple of potions and what looked like magical sweets; Butters frolicked in the grass; there were multiple poofs and out came all of Johnny's summons that started to laze around the compound. And there was also many Baa-ing? Including the little melps of lambs. If Echo looked outside there was a herd of colorful giant sheep inside one of the fenced pens.

Johnny came in the kitchen and washed his hands. "Alright, Echo, I've got so much to tell you, love, Meatballs has puppies!"

He sat in the living room with Aunt Melody, asking her how the family's been and what Mr. Muses has been up to these days. He also complimented on the crazy garden with their giant pumpkins the size of carriages.

When Echo looked out the window to see and greet the other summons, she coo-ed at the colorful lambs and sheep. Then she turned her head to listen to Johnny. Her ears perked up in surprise. "Meatballs has puppies!? Awww~! That's so cute!" She really wants to see them but she supposed it's best to leave the pups alone for a while until they're big enough.

As he left to sit in the living room, Echo prepared a lot of yummy snacks for the summons outside, letting them know that they'll be more if they ever some more. Same with the drinks. She even set them up on a blanket like they were on a picnic. Then she went inside to pour the hot water in the tea and set up the cups on the tray.

Her younger cousins, when they found out he was coming, ran up to him and greeted him before they left off to follow Butters; frolicking with him like a bunch of ducklings. It's rather cute to see. Five little satyrs skipping with a large ram, the smallest holding onto his tail.

"We are doing fine here. I got everyone settled in once the houses were built up again and managed to strike a deal with Queen Mia about selling our crops. That's why I let Callipso to do her crazy garden outside again." Melody whispered that last part as she didn't want her sister to hear her if she was in the house. Her daughter, Leto, is skipping with Butters and the others. The older fawn told Johnny all the big news of their families, exchanging letters with his father and mother and sisters. "I'm still waiting on their letters. I wonder if they would be okay to visit for the holidays here. We're going to do the same for their festivals and traditional parties."

"My pumpkins are magnificent, aren't they? I'm just- so proud of them." Callipso, Melody's second youngest sister, said with flair, dramatically sitting down with Melody. Her hair is a lot darker then Echo's, almost a maroon brown and her eyes are hazel. She's pretty small in height too, but she held herself as if she was a fabulous diva. She even has a frilly fan. "I heard you got yourself into show biz. How is that going for you, Kumquat pie?"

'Kumquat pie?' thought Johnny, amused and curious as to what a kumquat pie is. "It's going swell, auntie! My first play will be showing in the Marilou Theater this weekend in Kingsbury."

Marilou Theater was a modest place, Echo would know as the place where Johnny did part time jobs when he was still a student. He was showing his film there as a thank you to them, to hopefully build the place up and make it one of the more famous opera houses in the city.

"The actors, actresses, and crew are already there. I just sneaked here into Dawnsfield --- sort of. Would you like to come see it, Aunt Mel, Aunt Callipso?"

Melody opened her mouth only for Callipso to jump up with light coming from the window?...Are those...sparkle floating around?

"Why-! Of course, I'll come see your work! Ohonhonhon-!" The oldest sister rolled her eyes in amusement before nodding. "Like my sister said; we would love to come and see, Sugar Plum." She smiled at him proudly.

Echo came in with a tray of steaming cups of tea ready and placed them gently on the table that's in the middle. Then she sat next Johnny to nuzzle his shoulder.

"I'm sure Leto and the other kids would love to come and see too...Hopefully they won't run amok."

"Melody, you make it sound like our children are silly."

"No, they're not silly." The oldest fawn said, starting on her needle work again."They're insanely energetic." Callipso had to agree, 'hrpm'-ing as she fanned herself.

"I like your food nicknames for me." chuckled Johnny at his aunties. "Yosh, I'll have the tickets ready!" He smiled at Echo when she came, still gazing at her after not seeing her for a long time. "Thank you, love." he drank some tea, sighing at the warmth, and placed an arm around her when she nuzzled his shoulder.

He can't wait until they were alone. These fluffy --- no fluffier ears, and the hanging pots on her antlers. Oh it has been so long. He missed them. He found a nook where he could rest his head on hers, horns and antlers bumping --- he missed that clack sound! --- and just continued to gaze sideways at her.

He put the cup down and held her hand. "I miss you, Echo." he nuzzled her hair; some of the younger kids in the house who were looking through the window at the pile of presents on the table giggled and began to tease them; outside Butters was bleating at the baby sheep and watching them play with the kids; Meatballs woofed and let them pet him all they want, rolling on his belly for a rub.

"I missed you too, Johnny." Echo sighed as she heard the clack sound, rubbing her cheek on his shoulder. Her emerald green eyes gazed back into his citrus orange ones. She just wants to nibble on his ears again...

While the couple have their moment together, the older fawns quietly excused themselves after having their tea; Callipso lightly smacked the window with her fan the children were looking through and they laughed again, running away from the dramatic aunt. The oldest one shook her head and decided to knit in the kitchen where she's pretty sure her other nieces and nephews are talking. She can hear Leto 'baa'-ing to one of the lambs as the youngest stayed close to Butters, still holding onto his tail. The other kids skipped around and played and rubbed Meatballs' stomach as they pet him. One of them shierked 'He's so fluffy!!!!' and another yelled back, 'Not as fluffy as Butters!' 'Nu-uh!' 'Ya-huh!'

When her aunts left them alone at the kids weren't around to look and tease them anymore, Echo leaned up to kiss him again, humming lightly. "...I really missed you..."She cupped his cheeks to rub her nose on his again before pecking him lightly. "Do you want to rest in the guest room or do you just want to walk around? Up to you, love." It's pretty obvious with the way Echo is snuggling up to him that she's not leaving his side unless he asks her to.

Johnny kissed back like he was enjoying a hazelnut galette. He pulled her close and hugged her tight. "Me too, Echo." he smiled warmly. "Guest room, and then maybe we can walk around later? I want to hang out with you." He felt her back. "Wow, you've lost some of that chubbiness you had when we were younger. You really grew."

Echo blushed at the comment, her fluffy ears folded back shyly when she felt how close his hands were to her twitching tail. Her back arched a bit, chest to chest. Her druid-like clothing might hide it but he can tell that she has smaller waist, wide hips like an hourglass figure. There's even a bit of fur peeking out from her loose pants too.

"...so did you." Her hands went around his torso, feeling the muscles underneath his clothes, and she gulped at the thought of seeing and...appreciating the view again. "I can tell you've been keeping up with training, haven't you?...I want to hang out with you too..." She purred that last part, gently grabbing his hand as she stood up to lead the way to the room he'll be staying in. A teasing smile stretched on her face.

Fireflies twinkled, floating above the clear rice paddies that bordered either side of the train tracks. Johnny gazed at the pretty clouds where a group of dragons had been streaking around a giant rain cloud in the distance, circling in what they called the rain dance to water the flourishing forest, now four years old, that carpeted the mountains surrounding Dawnsfield.

Echo had sung most of those trees to life, Renee's and James' potions helping them grow a couple of years ago. Her older brother's trick to pouring hair cream labeled barrels of the potions had worked, making an unaware Seifer shout in indignant alarm, before he realized it was a joke. Johnny chuckled at the memory, you'd think Seifer thought they were throwing away the last food of humanity.

His arm casually around Echo's shoulder, he told her about that time, and then asked how Renee and him were doing.

As they sat nearby the train tracks, with twinkling fireflies floating above clear rice paddies, the fawn leaned her head on his shoulder. She giggled at the memory as her green eyes looked up at the clouds.

"Renee and Seifer are doing fine." Echo told him of how Renee can walk on her own again after getting her brother's protective watch. "Color me surprised when she came over to my house with just Mica on her shoulder one day. No James or Seifer. Though the oddest part of all is when she left. I saw her talking to herself like she was...talking...to someone else..." The fawn really hoped that she was talking to herself and not to a spirit.

She mentioned of how the winged Pendragon is working under Kenren as his personal medic nowadays while the proud Rathmore is getting famous with modelling and is getting more roles for marketing hair products and possibly other items as well while getting better at dancing. Somehow they still make time to be together and watch over Sirius too. "Renee and Seifer is teaching Sirius how to hunt, waiting until he felt the time is right to strike. Mizutsume and Bahumut are teaching him of his powers. I think he's starting to fly now?"

A firefly flew to her red hair and stayed there, glowing in and out at times while it rested it's wings.

"Talking to someone else?" repeated Johnny, befuddled. "Renee doesn't usually talk to herself . . . I'll ask her when she comes by the theater next weekend. I invited everyone to come and watch, I hope Kenren and Chenglei won't be too busy. I heard that Rhea decided to be planted and become a manna tree months ago, and that she's making the land flourish. I read that many nations are keen on helping her grow so as not to repeat the past, but instead of entrusting her safety to men, Kenren invited the dragons to come and live again in the Orients."

He placed an arm around Echo's shoulders. "It was all over the news, that he was making dragons citizens of the orients, that they can buy lands and work. I heard that the roads have been widened and the food business is booming. They say there are giant roasting pits where dragons gather and buy whole roasted cows from farmers and the dragons have this little pouch where the merchants could take and give money too, and a treasure box at the entrance of their territories, guarded by a soldier, where their pay could be sent to, though I don't think there is anyone who would dare steal from a dragon." he chuckled.

The dragons in the orients mostly worked in construction. The whole idea was very new, and some people were still worshiping them as gods, Chenglei especially, as he was the only pure gold dragon in the land. Dragons coming back to the rest of the world had been received differently in other nations. In the Orients they were citizens, in Jahara the people talked to the eggs and the dragons felt like family and the protectors of their human brothers and sisters, in Kingsbury where the people are still very wary of dragons, they were only in the army and their riders were very much the only ones who knew how special they were. Most of the kingdoms were just like before, keeping the dragons away from human settlements, but not bothering them in their territories either.

"It's good that Sirius is growing up well." said Johnny, as he watched the firefly glow on Echo's hair. "I remember Izanagi saying a long time ago that Sirius is going to grow into a very powerful dragon. There is no one like him and with his powers too, eating manna stones. I think that's why Mizutsune and Bahamut are keen that he grows up with proper morals, though I'm pretty sure that's no problem with Renee around."

Very slowly, he pointed at the firefly. "Echo, look."

Echo nodded, smiling wide. "Yes, I heard from Renee. I'm really glad that we get to live together with the dragons now, especially in the Orients." Though she has a feeling that Chenglei hoped for the human citizens to stop worshiping him; but that's not happening any time soon.

"I wonder what Seifer's fans in Kingsbury will think if they knew he is raising a baby dragon as his son." She giggled at the thought. The fawn knows that Mia is okay with Sirius and the other dragons, but she suppose it's the citizens that have an issue with them and didn't know what to think if them yet. "Yea, especially since she's watching over Caritas as well." The last time she saw the peaceful tree, he was as tall as Sirius' knee in his regular height.

Her green eyes crossed eyed at what he pointed, watching the soft glow of the firefly lighting up again before disappearing. Her smile softened as she watched. "Hmm...Reminds me of the fairy lights in the Order of Merlin's garden long time ago..."

"Yes, the ball. Renee and Seifer took the spotlight then. James and the twins were very against him that time, thinking they weren't a good match, deathknight and all, but they turned out alright." he casually rubbed her shoulders as he watched a few farmers walk by, heading to the pub or back to their homes after a hard day's work.

"Oh, about Meatballs' puppies. He and Mocha, another boarhound of a friend of mine, got together without us knowing until a couple of months ago, when we became surprised Mocha's belly was growing bigger." he chuckled. "They're in Meaballs' home realm, but every now and then when I summon him or when my friend summon's Mocha, they bring the puppies out with them."

"Yes...They really did." Echo sighed from the casual rubs, her hand reaching up from behind and playing with his ponytail. When Johnny mentioned about Meatballs and his puppies, her ears perked up happily.

"Aww~! That's so cute! I do hope to meet the puppies and Mocha one day." Large boarhound puppies...She couldn't help but think large fluff balls skipping around with the most cutest bark and a small tail~! Echo opened her mouth, about to say something when suddenly a loud shriek can be heard from behind them and she looked; only to see a whirlwind of blonde hair coming up to Johnny with a bright smile. The teen's blue eyes glittered in joy like she found something worth while.

"Like-! Oh my goodness! You're Johnny Caprice, aren't you? I recognize your hair and horns!" She grabbed hold of his arm with hers, squeezing them to her chest. "Oh! Like- I'm sorry for my manners! I'm Lizzy. I'm a huge fan~!" Echo's ears folded back as she watched the whole scene with a raised brow, thinking rationally. She's just a fan...nothing big...Johnny should have loads of fans by now since he's a director in films...

Now if only she would stop squeezing his arm with her bosom, that would be great.

Johnny jumped, startled by the sudden shriek. 'They found me.' he thought with dread, looking around to see if the paparazzi was nearby. He was still slightly afraid of women, talking to one or three girls was okay, but rabid fans gave him the jelly legs which never helped him run away.

"Yes, I'm Johnny Caprice." he said politely, as he stumbled up from the bench. "Hello, Lizzy, it's nice to meet you, please don't scream, I don't want the paparazzi to know I'm here." Alarm bells went off his head when she hugged his arm to her bosom. Echo might kill her. "Er-erm, do you want an autograph?"

"Oh! Um-! Sorry, I just couldn't help myself." Lizzy laughed, leaning back a bit but she hadn't let of his arm. She cleared her throat before she continued. "Actually I wanted to know how you got to be a director. See, I've dreamed of being one but I didn't know where to start so...advice?"

Echo took a deep breathe and relaxed as best as she could. It's obvious that Johnny is uncomfortable and this girl only wanted advice. Nothing to bad...She just wished that she would let go of his arm already...

Johnny can see that Echo had her eyes narrowed but she grinned awkwardly at him as if to say that it's not bothering her...and he knows that's a lie.

What to do? On one hand he understood the struggles of show business and would be glad to give a helping hand to a fellow visionary, on the other, he was on a date with Echo and this is their alone time. He knew too that as someone being looked up to, what he said would impact the rest of Lizzy's life and if he brushed her off, that may scar her or crush her dreams, and he would never, ever do that.

"O-of course!" he made to pull his arm away politely. "Erm, do you want to join us?" he gestured at the opposite side of the bench awkwardly. "This is Echo Muses, my girlfriend." then he caught Echo's look. "O-or maybe we should talk somewhere else? For a while?" he added questioningly looking from Lizzy to Echo, as though asking for his girlfriend's permission too, and at the same time wondering what he should do so that Echo won't be mad.

Echo took a deep breathe and sighed, getting up from the bench to shake hands with Lizzy who's pouting that Johnny took his arm away. The blonde looked at her hand before looking at her with...a very suspicious look on her face.

"O-Oh...Hello Echo, I'm Lizzy." She extended her hand and grabbed hold of Echo before squeezing it hard. The fawn didn't even flinch and just shook normally. Echo isn't the type to stoop so low as to use her strength. That's just not her and besides this is just a fan who wants to be out there too...so that's fine...

That's totally fine...

"Hello Lizzy...Well, I'll just...leave you two be..."Echo mumbled quietly before walking up to the train tracks. "I wouldn't want to stop you from teaching others, Love...don't worry about me...I'll just go home..." Her ears snugged themselves in her hair. "I'll have dinner ready when you return..."

Hopefully by then she would stop punching the rocks into tiny pieces.

"You're so understanding, Echooo~!" Lizzy yelled and that made her clench her fist, hidden from their views. "Uh-huh..." So she walked along the tracks, taking deep breathes and remembering what Master Mushi has taught her long before: to breathe in and out calmly.

"Echo, don't go." said Johnny, his shoulders drooping, as he held her hand, but she was already leaving. She was probably angry he let someone disturb their alone time. Now he regretted agreeing to give Lizzy advice. He was just going to get this over with quickly and catch up to her.

He turned to the fan, "Alright, the best advice I could give you is to be yourself, practice everyday, even for just ten minutes, and be with people who will support you. And most importantly, put yourself out there. Even if you are timid and no one knows you, perform in the streets, because that experience is invaluable. It'll give you courage and help you develop confidence and resistance when people don't like your performance. You'll get used to them until you won't care anymore and just do your own thing."

Lizzy nodded, smiling a bit. "So I just need to be myself then and practice everyday? What's your methods of practice? Do you do it in a schedule or did you develop it by being spontaneous?" One of her hands grabbed onto his sleeve and tugged.

"If you want, we can talk it over in the pub that's nearby?"

"Erm," he looked back at Echo's dwindling figure. "No, I'm sorry, but I'm busy tonight. Are you staying in Dawnsfield? If you like, we can meet another time this week. Sorry, I really can't talk right now, Lizzy."

Lizzy nodded, smiling and almost jumped in her seat. "Yes! I'm staying in Dawnsfield. I-I'll see you later~!" The blonde look all too happy that she gets to see her idol again.

Meanwhile Echo continued to walk, her shoulders' tensed as she randomly kicked a pebble. It shot forward in a long distance, mumbling to herself. Sometimes she wished she wasn't as easily jealous to be bothered like that. She really does hope that it'll stop later on. "Hmph!"

"Alright, then, I'll wait for your letter in the post office, and I'll send my letter there too." said Johnny. "Thank you for understanding." he stood up. "I have to go now, see you later!"

"Okay~! Bye Johnny!" Lizzy waved at the new director as he left, then she stood up from the bench and whistled a happy tune.

"Echooo!" called Johnny's voice from a distance. He came running up to her, skidding to a halt by the train tracks. "Love, are you angry?" he reached for her hand.
